Squantum gave my husband and I the wedding of our dreams. The staff, especially Justine and Tina were remarkable to work with, every question was answered, Justine floated thru the entire night, doing small things that didn’t go unnoticed (giving us a plate of each of our apps set up at the sweetheart table for when we sat down, serving beer at the beginning of cocktail hour to assist with the crowd, fixing my wedding topper when I broke it myself, moving our cigar table from outside to inside as we got a quick downpour, boxing up leftovers to bring back). That is exactly what you want from the venue coordinator. The grounds speak for themselves- beautiful. Coming from a large family, we were voted to have the best wedding food ever. And to be honest, for the greatest day of our lives, the price was so totally reasonable, so many venues nickel and dime you on everything- Squantum was transparent right away, no surprise fees attached and we appreciated that during the planning process. Aka just sign the papers and get married here!
Perfect from start to finish. Justine and Tina were always there when we needed, the day turned out beautiful and better than we could have imagined. What a hidden gem, everyone was asking where we found this place!
Squantum was the only venue we visited. We just couldn't believe how beautiful and amazing it was. There is so much natural beauty, but when you add the beautiful historical buildings, we just couldn't imagine anywhere else. When my parents told me they would help us pay to have our wedding there, I remember exactly where I was like yesterday, and I cried tears of joy. Almost everything was more perfect than expected, the food, the set up by our coordinator Justine, Tina's attention to details, including spotting a butterfly around my parents and my brother and I as we walked down the aisle, a sign of spiritual significance for me, and so much more that it's hard to express.
We can't say enough about Squantum Association as our wedding venue. From the beautiful views, to the historic buildings, and the great staff, we can't imagine having to plan our wedding without the help of Tina Desrosiers. She was attentive and was able to address any concern (there was not many) and make our day so great.
Our food was phenomenal, our guests couldn't stop talking about how great everything was whether it was location or just the venue in general and how much fun they had. We would recommend this venue to anyone who's looking for a great value and price with great service.
We were blown away by the value, friendliness, and transparency we found at Squantum! First of all, the photos do not do it justice — you HAVE to go see it!
We actually had booked our wedding at a different venue, but had to scramble and rebook everything in July for our January wedding because the exclusive caterer we had chosen at said venue was sneaky and dishonest with us, not to mention WAY too expensive (basically the same menu we got at Squantum for twice the price… and the food wasn’t as good). Tina and Squantum were a breath of fresh air! Their pricing is so reasonable, without any hidden fees, weird upcharges, etc. and they are obviously trying to get you a good deal (especially in the off season! It was a dream). Tina especially is so down-to-earth and friendly, while still being so incredibly capable and on top of all the details. Multiple wedding guests said they wanted to be her friend. :)
The space is absolutely gorgeous and honestly doesn’t need that much sprucing up, but nonetheless, they let us drop off all of our decorations earlier in the week, which was super convenient and made decorating the morning-of very smooth. Since it was the off-season, we used the Bakehouse, and it was absolutely gorgeous! We had lovely weather for January, but even if we hadn’t, it’s so cozy and picturesque inside. We took most of our portraits in the Big House.
The off-season also meant we got our perfect menu for a really good price. They even added stuffies to the clam chowder station for us! We did heavy passed apps before the meal — Squantum is a little more expensive for those, but it’s because it’s *unlimited* passed apps for the hour, so we never ran out (other places make you pay per item). I think I had eight bacon wrapped shrimp.
Squantum was completely fine with us bringing in a one-woman-show for our desserts (check out Jackie at Epic Sweets!) — they let her drop it all off at 10am, set it all out for us on their serve-ware, and wrapped up the leftovers for us to take home.
Drinks were great. It was altogether perfect and if I were to do it all again, I would book Squantum every time.
Also recommend hiring Kristen and Tom Conte for your photography and DJ needs — with them and Tina, we had the dream team!
We had our wedding at Squantum Association in June 2022 and had an absolutely amazing experience! Squantum is such a hidden gem and offers both a beautiful venue location but also an amazing event staff who are experts in executing a flawless wedding event. We used the property for the entire day - Bridal party getting ready in the cabin on site, outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour/reception in the Bakehouse.
Tina was extremely communicative and always answered any question right away - on the rehearsal day and wedding day, she made sure everything ran flawlessly! I didn't have to worry about anything - I knew she would take care of it all. When I was researching venues, I was a bit nervous about the food as I didn't know anyone personally who had been to a wedding at Squantum. I read reviews and saw nothing but positive feedback regarding both the food and service - they were right, the food was delicious! Our guests are still complimenting us on all of the delicious appetizers and entrees. I also loved that Squantum provided an all-in-one venue, reasonable pricing, and that we had access to the property for the entire day. We had such a special day from start to finish and would absolutely recommend Squantum to others!
Squantum Association was the most beautiful venue and included waterfront, greenery, and a gorgeous indoor space. We could not be more thrilled with the communication and support from Tina for the months leading up to and on the wedding day. Our guests were raving about the quality of the food and service throughout the day. We would recommend Squantum for any event!!
I don't even know where to begin this review, as every aspect of our wedding at Squantum Association in October was absolutely PERFECT. Not only is the location stunning and the food phenomenal, the staff is incredible. Tina is the best of the best. She didn't miss a beat during the planning process or on the day of. She was so kind, so professional, and I couldn't imagine trying to host our event without her help. To arrive at our venue on the day of without a single worry was an amazing feeling and I owe it to the incredible folks at Squantum Association.
BOOK THIS VENUE! We wanted a Christmas wedding and Squantum did NOT disappoint! Squantum is breathtaking and a hidden gem right outside of Providence, RI. Tina, the venue's wedding coordinator, was amazing from day 1. She was always responsive and helpful with our many questions. This venue, by far, had the most competitive prices with great all-inclusive options. Squantum Association has the most dramatic views and offers warm colors, especially at Christmas time. Everything was lit up for Christmas so we had a minimal need to decorate, they even let us come in a few days before our wedding to look at their Xmas decor so we could decide what could stay for our big day and what we wanted to be put away. The Bakehouse, where the reception was held, is huge and most certainly helped guests feel comfortable and not cramped. The bar in the Bakehouse is incredible and feels like a totally different space than the dining room. Additionally, they lit the giant fireplaces for us to add that beautiful, warmth all throughout the night. They also lit the firepit outside since it was a warmer December night and allowed guests to mingle outdoors. Not to mention, our guests RAVED about the food and the venue overall. Getting married during COVID times are tough and Tina was sure to send us home with those extra meals of people who had to cancel last minute due to the pandemic. There is not one single thing negative that I can say about this venue. They host one wedding at a time so you don't need to worry about sharing the space with anyone. I would choose Squantum over and over again because of its pricing, its location, and the fact that it is simply stunning!! You will LOVE IT!
Overall my September 5th wedding was beautiful. The venue is so breathtaking and definitely one you and your guests won’t ever forget. Tina was absolutely a pleasure, very helpful, a very nice person to interact with. I only have a few suggestions and things that didn’t go the way that they should have for my own wedding there. I added a half hour on to the bar time, which still did not seem to be enough time. As I recall, there was no more time allowed to be added on past that half hour to extend the length of the wedding. Maybe in the future consider allowing couples to pay for more bar time? My wedding was over by 10, but it would have been nice to be allowed to extend the bar to 11 or even to make cocktail hour longer. Not sure how much this would cost, but it would be nice to have the option available. In addition , there was not enough bottled beer for my guests and the venue quickly ran out. If you know your guests drink a lot of beer and you choose this venue, I would double triple check that they order enough. My brother was told he couldn’t have a bottle of beer at cocktail hour… which I’m sorry, but is highly inappropriate. I don’t understand why bottled beer wouldn’t be something you have on hand, not like you can’t keep it there if it doesn’t get drank that night and use it for the following wedding….. Lastly, my two draft beers were supposed to be Dels Lemon Shandy and Narragansett Lager. I confirmed this on multiple occasions. Instead at my reception, which I was not aware of until the following day, they had a Whalers IPA and Stella Artois, in which the beer drinkers were not pleased with either of those options. So in essence a lot of people had few to little options to drink. So please in the future, double check what beers are on tap. That made me very upset to hear the next day. All in all though, great experience at Squantum.
What a venue! Brides/Grooms - this is magnificent! We had a September wedding. Ceremony outside, shot the cannon, hosted cocktail hour in The Clubhouse and moved to The Bakehouse for a beautiful reception.
My bridal party relaxed and got made up/dressed in bridal suite. The guys had their own cabin on the venue to get their act together.
The food was amazing! We enjoyed a tasting last fall and made our selections. We decided on stations - beautiful beef tenderloin, salmon, roasted chicken wrapped with proscuitto and a pasta station.
DJ had the perfect set up - overlooking the water. We danced all night. At the end, we exited through the path of friends/family and down to the dock where we left by boat. It was a fabulous day!
Jon and Tina will help you all of your questions. The staff was absolutely terrific with set up, take down and overall service. I cannot recommend Squantum enough - it's truly fantastic!
Stop your venue search. This is the place you want to book! An elegant gem of a location that blends sophistication, vintage appeal and waterfront vibes. Endless gorgeous spots for once in a lifetime photos. Their all-inclusive pricing options make it so easy to plan your day…forget all of the nickel and dimming and confusing estimates with a thousand line items that you get at other places, or having to arrange ten different vendors…Squantum does it all. But there most important part? The Squantum team. From day one we felt welcomed. Tina is the MVP of wedding coordinators. We could not have asked for a more attentive, thoughtful, fun person by our side to manage all of the details! The chef and his team prepared a meal that was out of this world…even my friend who heads up one of the best restaurants in the state personally went back to compliment the chef. And the rest of the sales team, wait staff, and bartenders felt like family by the end of it all. Thank you thank you to the team! And boom Squantum today!!
Our wedding at Squantum was a postponement from 2020 to 2021. In that year, the Squantum, which already was such a beautiful venue, got even more beautiful! Our guests were raving about our wedding and what a unique experience it was. Our cocktail hour was in the Club House with dinner and reception in the Bake House. With most of our guests coming from out of state, we wanted to show our guests a unique, and beautiful New England wedding experience and you certainly get that at Squantum! Our guests loved exploring the manor house, and the views off the top deck were breathtaking. Guests also commented about how nice it was to have water views at every angle. Squantum recently renovated the jetty by adding stones and we can’t wait to get our pictures back from our photographer! AND THE FOOD! Easily the best wedding food we have ever had! Tina is an absolute pleasure to work with. We are so thankful we picked Squantum. Absolutely beautiful!
My husband and I just got married last Saturday at Squantum Association and all we can say is 'Wow'!! We had originally planned on getting married in June 2020, and obviously with Covid, our plans shifted (to a year later). Squantum was incredibly professional and accommodating in all the logistics and planning, especially considering it had to have been a very difficult year for them as well.
As we approached this wedding season, Tina, the event coordinator worked very closely with us and was incredible. She answered ALL my questions and was willing to make all the changes I requested. Because of covid, our numbers shifted around a little bit and they were so flexible and understanding.
Now for the actual wedding day: They exceeded all of our expectations!! There were minor things I wanted tweaked the day of the wedding and John and Tina didn't blink an eye and made all them happen. The grounds were very well taken care of (I actually think a lot of great improvements occurred over the past year, which have made it even more beautiful for guests!). We had our cocktail hour in the main house and our guests absolutely loved walking around and exploring the beautiful manor. Our reception was then at the bake house. It was incredible how it transformed into exactly what we had pictured. The food was delicious. I had multiple people during and after the wedding come up to me and rave about it!!
Overall, I highly recommend booking your wedding or event at Squantum Association. From their professionalism, uniqueness and overall quality, they are sure to put on a terrific evening!
Squantum Association is an amazing place to get married. Tina is awesome and the rest of the staff are so nice and attentive! Tina helps you plan every step of the way and keeps everything running smoothly the day of the wedding. The location is gorgeous and everyone commented on how excellent the food was! We had a perfect day and would recommend getting married here to anyone.
Squantum was fantastic! So flexible and easy to work with. The option of using both the clubhouse and the bake house was great. It is a beautiful venue with a very old world New England feel. Everything was fantastic and we were very pleased. Our guests are raving about the food too! Awesome place!
Wow....just WOW! Our wedding day was everything we ever dreamed of and more. The venue... the view... the FOOD...our event coordinator Lauren was amazing! Everything was so wonderful from start to finish. They really take such good care of landscaping the property and it shows. We received SO many compliments on our venue. It’s a hidden gem in RI! It’s completely different than anywhere you’ve ever been before, I promise! My husband and I did a first look on the private island behind the club house that was so magical. This allowed us to join our guests for cocktail hour up at the club house. The reception building is so unique and has these beautiful lanterns hanging down complete with an ocean view. It doesn’t get any better than that. Let’s talk about the food- they accommodated my vegan diet without me even having to ask, meaning they already have options available on the menu and they were delicious! I would order that meal again if I could! Not only that but our non vegan guests also commented that we had the best wedding food they have ever had, anywhere! Lauren our event coordinator was so attentive to my husband and I all night, she made sure my dress was how it was supposed to be moments from when I walked down the aisle, offered me drinks and snacks, checked in with us many times throughout the day, she is just wonderful and has 10 star customer service skills! If you are looking for an exceptional venue that has the complete package- great food, great service and absolutely beautiful landscaping and views for photos you need to book here. Trust me you won’t regret it!
We had our wedding here in July of 2019 and it was as perfect as we could have hoped! All members of the staff, specifically Lauren and John, were super responsive to our questions leading up to the big day and made the planning process as stress free as it could be. We enjoyed terrific weather, dined on delicious food, and danced the night away! We’d recommend Squantum to anyone looking for a beautiful outdoor setting (and stunning indoor space) close to Providence!
We had our wedding at the Squantum Association this past June, and they were absolutely incredible.
The venue is really special, right on the water, with too many beautiful locations for photographs to choose from. You have two little beaches, the water, a rock path leading to an island, the gorgeous architecture of the clubhouse, a dock, bridges and tons of greenery and beautiful landscaping to take pictures in front of. There were even a pair of swans hanging out in the water the day of the event.
Once we chose the venue, although things started off a bit rocky (we were a little disappointed when we found out we wouldn’t be able to have fireworks at the event) they went WAY above and beyond to make sure we felt taken care of. The actual event could not have been more perfect, and it was in no small part due to the efforts of the staff and the management team at Squantum.
Jon is super friendly, reasonable, easy to work with, and I really felt like he cared about making sure we were happy and wanting to work with us. On the day of the wedding, Lauren was incredibly attentive. Anything and everything we needed, she was there within seconds, making sure we had drinks or food, setting up champagne in our room while we were getting ready, and she worked really well with our wedding planner to make sure the event went smoothly. I don’t think we were the easiest of clients (I probably sent Lauren 20-30 emails the month or two before the event) but she was responsive and accommodating every time.
The food was FANTASTIC. Wedding food can be hit or miss sometimes, but so many of our guests came up to us after dinner to comment on how delicious everything was. The chicken was moist, the steak was perfectly cooked, the vegetables were tender without being overcooked or soggy, and that level of quality and execution carried throughout the apps, the dessert bar and the late night snacks. We were blown away by the quality.
Overall the day was perfect and we were completely thrilled with the venue and the staff and team. I could not recommend the venue more highly if you’re looking for a stellar experience in a gorgeous location.
Me and my husband had been searching for a Venue which was unique, private, romantic, and rustic. This was the perfect venue for it! This was the last place we looked, but wish it was the first. When we sat down with the coordinator, she laid out all the information we needed, provided us with all the preferred vendors, but also they allowed up to bring in vendors from outside the preferred listing at no extra charge! Which was perfect because I had planned on having Krispe Kreme donuts delivered! They also personalized most of the details for us! They were open to changing the package around, adding on extra meals (even 1 week before the date), and allowed us to set up the decorations the way we wanted the night before! The package included all the tables, chairs, linens, silverware, meals, drinks, coordination, plus a pastry chef (Tina is AMAZING) ! It made my job as the Bride 100% easier! Also love that the venue was right off the water. The site was the perfect size for about 110 guests! Thank you Jon Prata, Lauren Lysak, and Tina Desrosiers for all your help! Matt and Katie
DREAM COME TRUE. If you are trying to find the perfect place for your wedding (but don't want to have the same thing as everyone else).... visit the Squantum Association now! From the very first visit, I knew I wanted to get married there! It was a beautiful mix of everything I would want in a venue. It was by the water, private, beautiful and natural. There is a mansion club house with stained glass windows for cocktail hour, and a beautiful reception space with vaulted ceilings adorned with twinkle lights and modern chandeliers . The bar is completely modern with exposed brick and a beautiful view.
The staff at Squantum are amazing. They did every single thing they could to ensure that my wedding day was perfect. Jon Prata (Club Manager) and Lauren Lysak (Events Coordinator) are both warm and genuine. I cannot say enough great things about them! They are truly amazing people!
Let’s not forget about the FOOD! Every single guest told me how delicious the food was. They offer a variety of packages at an all-inclusive price! We were able to offer our guests an incredible experience with open bar and amazing food!
Squantum was the perfect venue! We could not be happier!
I couldn’t be more grateful to everyone at the Squantum Association for helping to create our dream wedding. We booked them about a year in advance, and throughout the entire year leading up to the wedding, they were so communicative and friendly. Working with Joe, Jon, and Lauren was so easy, and they helped alleviate all stress of wedding planning. A HUGE bonus of this place is the FLAT RATE. There are literally NO hidden fees (taxes, surcharges, tips, etc.). I cannot stress enough how easy that made our budgeting and financial planing.
On the wedding day, the staff took care of EVERYTHING, and didn’t miss a single detail. All of the guests couldn’t stop talking about the service and food. The chef even came out to talk with guests! The Squantum Association will always hold a special place in my and my husband’s heart. We truly adore this place and the people.
I spotted Squantum for the first time on a friend’s Facebook who got married there. I knew I had to see this place in person! A week after my husband and I’s engagement, we went to look at Squantum. As soon as I opened the car door and could smell the ocean, I knew it was going to be the place for our wedding. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and Jon,Lauren, and the chefs and staff were unbelievable. Our wedding was 100% perfect because of everything they did for us. The food is outstanding, the views are amazing, the venue is gorgeous and everything was awesome. I can’t say enough positive things about Squantum, if you are looking for an ocean wedding, look no further than here! You will fall in love with it as soon as you get there!
On a scale from 1 to 10, I'd give Squantum Association an 11! We were just married there and everything was beyond perfect. To start, the people that work here are very relaxed and professional, which means you have little to worry about. The grounds are exceptionally beautiful and also historical. Our guests kept commenting that the location was a hidden gem and made for such a unique wedding. The other comments we continually heard was how delicious the food was (their package includes both an onsite chef and pastry chef).
We were married at the Squantum Association on 10/1/17. It was the perfect venue for us! The food was amazing. The service was top notch. Jon Prata's personal attention to the planning details and to my husband and I throughout the day (getting us drinks, checking in with us, getting us extra apps when we didn't have a chance to eat any during the cocktail hour, etc) was much appreciated! I'd highly recommend this venue. You won't be disappointed.
Squantum was the perfect venue for our wedding ceremony and reception. Everything was exactly what we wanted and many friends said it was the best wedding they ever went to...and Squantum is a big reason why! Jon Prata, the Banquet Manager was so easy going it made me nervous at first (there was turnover in this role this year so he was our third contact) but he didn't miss a beat. He responded quickly and off hours for every request, was knowledgeable about the food (he was a chef there for years before taking on this role), the facility and always said "yes" to every request! Jay Morris, his associate, was my right hand man the day of the wedding - he attended to every detail and made sure that my husband and I had everything we needed (a space to change after the wedding, a fresh cocktail, etc). Our friends raved about: 1) the location - which was a prime reason we chose Squantum - we live in Rumford, RI and wanted a water view, a rustic, unique venue, somewhere with a good backup space in the event of rain that's NOT the dance floor, and either close to home or hotels so folks can enjoy the open bar, 2) the food - we chose the filet and salmon and both were a big hit - our friends who are major foodies said it was delicious and HOT; they also loved the appetizers but as the bride, I was too busy hugging everyone to eat at that point :), 3) the service - the staff was fantastic and with little instruction perfectly executed my DIY decor while I was at home getting ready.
Other details that were superb: Golf cart - parking is a bit far for those with heels or elderly - the gentleman driving the golf cart was fantastic and ready to help with transport at all times, Bridal Suite - my husband got ready on the property, the desserts - we ordered a cutting cake and mini-cupcakes and I was able to get various flavors and they were all DELICIOUS! Signature Drink - I picked a drink and sent Jon the recipe and they came out amazing,
Now, the price. No doubt, it's pricey but after you look around you will find that it's comparable to the high end venue after you add in open bar, service fees, dessert, taxes, etc. and you don't have to stress about making decisions like top shelf v. mediocre bar or filet v. sirloin or floor length linens. The price is all inclusive so once you figure that it can work in your budget, there are no hidden costs. I had piece of mind that I knew the cost and could save accordingly and didn't fear that I needed extra money for a tent, service fees, chair rentals, etc later.
My husband and I are sooo glad we looked at Squantum. After we saw all of the hidden fees of other places, we realized we could afford it and went to tour as our last option. We walked in the Bakehouse and signed out contract 10 minutes later. Who wouldn't want to get married 10 min from downtown in a venue that is over a 100 years old with simple yet pristine grounds on Narragansett Bay??!!!!
I honestly could not have been happier with the Squantum Association. It was so beautiful, and so low-maintenance on my end! As soon as I walked in to Squantum during my venue search I knew this was the place for our reception. My husband and I had a very busy engagement as we moved halfway across the country and started new jobs only a few months before the wedding, so I handled a lot of things last-minute, and Corentin was so helpful and helped keep me on track. At our wedding, he kept everything moving so smoothly, and everything looked beautiful. We had so many compliments on how the venue looked, and how amazing the food was, and what a great job the bartender was doing. Everything was perfect.
Squantum is hands down the most beautiful place to have your wedding. We were looking for a rustic, charming feel with some authentic Rhode Island ocean views and Squantum was hands down the best of both worlds. Corentin and his team are phenomenal! From the first email and information exchange to the evening of our wedding, everything was flawless due to them and their utmost professionalism. Our guests still cannot stop raving about the food and THE VIEWS. We had perfect weather which helped a lot but the 180 view of the water along with the breathtaking grounds, we really felt like royalty. With Squantim you really get what you pay for, exquisite food and service and the most beautiful location! Also, all of the details are included in the price per head costs which make things so simple. They really make the process absolutely perfect. We are so proud to have had our wedding at Squantum, it was truly a dream come true!!
We were over the moon with the service we received at the squantum. Corentin was super fast at returning emails and so incredibly accommodating. The whole night of the wedding and ever since I have received compliments from my guests on the beauty of the venue, quality of the food, and amazing service. This is an amazing gem!
Corentin and the staff at the Squantum Association are phenomenal at what they do. We got married 6/24/16 and could not be more thrilled with how smooth it went. Corentin really does it all - he worked with us throughout the planning process to ensure all the details were taken care of. He was flexible in making our vision of our wedding become a reality and there wasn't anything he couldn't do. Our guests ranted and raved about the setting, the staff, the food and the experience as a whole. Thanks so much to Corentin and his staff for a perfect wedding day!!! Exceptional venue that takes all stress out of your wedding day!!! Amazing!
My husband and I had our wedding at the Squantum Association on 5/21/16. This venue was nothing short of amazing. Corentin, the general manager, is an absolute pleasure to work with. He was so unbelievably prompt in his responses and so willing to accommodate any ideas we had for our wedding day. The venue itself is stunning and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue for our wedding! You will not be disappointed if you choose to work with Corentin and the Squantum!
Having our wedding at Squantum was hands down the best decision we made during the entire wedding planning journey. I am originally from Connecticut and my husband is from Rhode Island, and we just couldn’t find the right venue. I couldn’t decide between rustic and vintage, I wanted the venue to be conveniently located, the food to be good, and for the staff to take care of everything. I happened across Squantum on several wedding websites, and…Bingo. This venue has a rustic boathouse-looking structure for the reception, with the coolest bar. It’s right on the water and has a vintage, historic mansion where we took pictures before the ceremony. The shuttle was an easy 8-10 minute ride from downtown Providence. Not only was Squantum exactly what I was looking for, but the professionalism of Correntin and his staff exceeded expectations. Correntin was extremely responsive and easy to work with throughout the year. If he didn’t respond to my emails immediately, it couldn’t have ever taken him more than a day to get back to me. He was very flexible with whatever we envisioned. They let us put up any decorations we wanted, provided us with an easel and cake tier when we didn’t have one, and let us drop off several boxes of decorations two days before the wedding. I remember going to drop everything off and feeling like it was going to take forever to explain where everything went! Correntin and his staff were so organized and on the ball that we were out of there in 10 minutes. I’m pretty big on food and I have to say that the food was absolutely fantastic, especially the appetizers! Guests were talking about them weeks later. And trying everything at the bridal tasting added another fun wedding event that my whole family was able to attend! It was like a pre-wedding. This venue is so unique and beautiful all on its own, I felt like I didn’t even need to add that much in terms of flowers, signs, or decorations. There is so much unique space around the property…throughout our wedding night, I noticed people on the dance floor, at their tables, at the bar, on the outside patio, or walking around the grounds. And the price. People might think that Squantum is expensive at first glance, but all taxes and fees are included. Correntin makes it so easy. One of the reviews I read stated that Squantum is like a Newport wedding without the Newport prices. It’s so true. We really had the perfect day, in large part thanks to Correntin and his team. You really can’t go wrong booking with this venue, it absolutely cannot be beat. Thank you Correntin for making our day so perfect and stunning!
Squantum was our dream venue we never knew about! Off of a dirt road with private property signs we weren't quite sure what we were approaching, unannounced, on a cold February day. We were approaching our dream wedding venue, the whole dream package! Corentin and his team from the start before AND after contracts were signed were incredibly helpful and responsive. Squantum has a multiple tiers of packages but what is so nice is you can customize your package however you want. We went with the Grand package, middle of the line and we added a couple items here and there, , we swapped the dessert buffet for a real cake for instance. Unlike most venue they really don't want to nickle and dime you, they want you to have YOUR dream wedding day. Corentin was a short email response away the entire time and he was incredibly fast in his responses. Our best man dropped off boxes of decorations the night BEFORE our rehearsal and Corentin and his team were about 90% done by rehearsal time (granted we were the Friday wedding of the week) and we were expecting to spend the evening after our rehearsal running around! I had emailed him a few weeks earlier to inform him our day of coordinator could no longer make it and he was able to step up and assure me it would be ok and he could help out where needed. Our guests are still informing us of how beautiful the venue is, how good the food was, how perfect the night's flow was and the awesome Surprise cannon shot we set off! I would highly recommend checking out Squantum if you are looking for a historic, waterside venue with amazing food and great staff.
Squantum is the best place in Rhode Island!!! The service, food, staff and venue are the greatest around! Corentin was very helpful with the whole process. Joao was great! He was so hands on and we were well taken care of the day of. The bartenders are absolute rockstars and the waitstaff, along with table attendants are very professional. Tina's desserts are to die for, and Jon is the best chef ever!I love this place and would recommend it to everyone for any type of event, and hopefully dinner once it becomes public, since the food is out of this world! Thank you to all that work there, you made our day so very special and carefree. Our guests loved everything about it.
The grounds and venue are so beautiful there is no need to go anywhere else for the ceremony or amazing pictures. The staff and service aimed to please and succeeded. My guests raved about the food and venue months later.
The grounds were gorgeous, the food was amazing, and the overall experience was more than I could have possibly asked for. Corentin, the general manager, was courteous and very easy to work with. He personally made sure I was a princess for the day. Everyone that was present at my wedding, said it was the best wedding they had ever been to!
Squantum was such a beautiful setting for my wedding. I worked with corentin, the event planner, for months prior and he was always responsive and extremely accommodating. There are so many great places to take pictures inside and out, and a great indoor option for a ceremony in the event it rains. I couldn't be happier with this venue.
The Squantum Association is a hidden gem and is the most beautiful and magical place to have a wedding. The general manager Corentin Corre is professional, responsive, thoughtful, and absolutely fantastic to work with! Corentin helped us plan our wedding over the course of the past year, and we can't express enough praise of his work and the work of other staff members. Our food was fantastic, the grounds were immaculate (and set the ambiance and vibe we wanted for our wedding), and the cake was by far the best wedding cake anyone had ever had! Tina, the pastry chef, is very talented! We will recommend The Squantum Association to family and friends and the future. We were thrilled with our special day!
The place was absolutely stunning. Regardless of the humidity and extreme heat during pictures around the grounds, the cocktail hour (which we were able to get a little taste of) was amazing and the reception was incredible. We were only the second wedding of the season and did encounter a few meal mishaps, mainly with the special orders due to allergies. They were handled expediently and professionally however, and the food is excellent! I recommend any bride that books with Squantum should have Tina (the associate pastry chef) make all their deserts and cake. She did our grooms cake, desert buffet and cupcake tower - everything was scrumptious.
My only negative thought was that they didn't have enough bartenders on staff. We had an open bar and a guest list pushing 160, but they only had two bartenders.
Corentin, the coordinator, really did a great job making sure my groom and I were happy and taken care of - as well as all the guests. I'd recommend this place to anyone getting married in the Rhode Island area.
It would have been nice to have more wedding support staff such as a more involved wedding planner or staff member assigned to the wedding day.
I have so many wonderful things to say about the Squantum Association, I don't know where to begin. My father-in-law and now husband are members of this social club, so it was a no-brainer where we were going to have our wedding this September. Like most people, I have to say that I've lived in RI my entire life and didn't even know Squantum existed...until I met my husband. In my opinion, you cannot find a more beautiful location than the grounds of the Squantum Association. We received SO many compliments on the day of our wedding; our guests were simply stunned by the beauty both outside and inside. Besides the jaw dropping views, you will also receive the most accommodating and cheerful staff who do everything in their power to ensure you want for nothing. You would think that for all of this, you are going to end up paying "Newport" pricing...guess again, the prices were unbeatable, especially for everything you are being presented with. On top of all this, the chefs at Squantum always prepare some of the best food I've ever eaten. Whether it's for a wedding, or if we are there for dinner on a Saturday night, the food is always knock-your-socks-off good! We also had their pastry chef, Tina, prepare our “drunken cupcakes” wedding cake. When we brought it to her attention, she had never done anything like this before. Her first trial was a home run! My husband and I are not big dessert people, but we were after trying these cupcakes! I would recommend the Squantum Association to anyone who is looking for a wedding venue, social event, dinner party, or any event in which you would want great food, amazing views and unbeatable staff!
Thank you so much for all you have done for us, we will be back!

Beautiful atmosphere..we loved everything that they had to offer. Wedding coordinator was a bit pushy on the wedding day (which thank god I was not aware of!). Food was fantastic...had a great night!
This Venue was all we expected and more! We had a gorgeous July day for my daughter's wedding. It could not have been nicer! The outside ceremony was beautiful, the reception amazing! The food and cake/dessert tray was DELICIOUS! I cannot say enough about this location and our guests gave us so many compliments. If your looking for a wedding venue does pass this one by, place it on your list to look at and I believe you will agree with my review should you also use it for a wedding venue.
Although a little pricey, it was worth every penny. We just downsized our guest list. We couldnt have asked for anything better. The view is amazing and the staff is great. Squantum has a great plan B (if it rains), we didnt need to use it but it was a beautiful option if we needed it, a room with all windows over looking the water. Our outside wedding right near the cannon was perfect. If near the RI area you should certainly look into this place, you won't regrete it! :) all of our guests were amazed and are still talking about it. When we got home from out honeymoon friends that did not make the wedding were saying they heard our wedding was one of a kind.
Amazing. From the first moment we began planning our wedding at The Squantum Association- the staff (most often the event coordinator, Corentin) was extremely helpful and thoughtful. Corentin was always prompt in his responses to my emails or phone calls. He was very accommodating and experienced at wedding planning. We had our cake done by the awesome pastry chef, Tina, who was so fun to meet with! She then delivered a cake that was so perfect- looked and tasted great. The buildings and grounds lend themself to an indoor or an outdoor ceremony- we were lucky enough to have beautiful weather and were married outside. There are SO many neat, picturesque places to take photos- our pictures came out great.
I don't have anything bad to say about this venue, it suited our personalities perfectly and we couldn't have asked for nicer people or a better place!
Beautiful Place...Beautiful grounds...Excellent food!
With regards to assitance and guidance from the staff correntine...not much help from him at all. He failed to tell me that they provided a card box and table numbers after I had run around looking for them and already bought them (even though their card box is not pretty, I'm glad I bought my own) Other than that no complaints about the food or venue! I got so many compliments about how good the food was and How beautiful the place was and How it was the Best wedding anyone has ever been to!!!!
Beautiful site and we thought it reasonable for being right on the bay. Correntin was very flexible and helpful. Great food and very unique.
We had our cocktails in the Club House, followed by dinner and dancing in the Bake House. The facilities, outdoor space, and service were wonderful. Squantum provided a delicious meal and beautiful cake as well. A very unique and memorable venue.
It was beautiful, on the water, all open and a nice bar and outside area.
