We are Ellen & Edward Rashkovsky, owners of Starlight Studioz a Brooklyn, NY based wedding & event photography & cinematography company. We love what we do, capturing memories of couples in love. The wedding day is full of small & big details and we work hard to capture it all. From start to finish. We find that a lot of the really cool moments happen in between the days big events, ceremony, reception, first dance. We seek those moments out. Our couples are the reason we love what we do. We are honored to capture their wedding day stories and in some cases become good friends too! Many of our couples come back to us to capture more memories of their families so our relationships continue for years to come.

I have started and stopped writing this review on several different occasions. It is so hard to write a review when there are simply not enough words in the English vocabulary that will do justice to the incredible work Starlight Studioz - Photography + Cinematography have done for my wedding . My wedding was on March 29, 2015. From the very first meeting my husband and I felt as though our wedding was the most special event that will ever exist. We knew right away that Ellen, Eddie and their team would take care of us on the most magical day of our lives. The feeling did not stop the minute we signed the contract! As the months progressed leading up to our wedding day Ellen was there every step of the way helping us plan and prepare. After filming our love story (and us simply not liking how we look!), Ellen and Eddie graciously agreed to refilm and recreate a new love story. We also purchased a photo booth package for our wedding day that was a huge hit with all the guests!
In the months leading up to the wedding Ellen became not only my videographer but my friend and confidant. She was there to help make even the most detailed of decisions (I texted her the morning of the wedding asking her opinion on the groomsman pocket square color!). Such decisions were not part of her requirements but she took every question and decision seriously as though it was her own wedding day. Our relationship with Ellen and her staff did not end after the wedding day. Eddie, Ellen and Dima were patient with us in our very detailed requests pertaining to editing our wedding video. Now that we have the finished product we couldn’t be happier with the results. My husband and I recommend Starlight Studioz - Photography + Cinematography to everyone who asks for wedding recommendations – they truly will go above and beyond their job description. While my husband and I feel very lucky to have had such a wonderful team for our wedding day, we are even more grateful for the friendship we have created with the team. They are a wonderful group of people and we look forward to using them for all of our families’ important milestones. We anticipate Starlight Studioz - Photography + Cinematography being in business for decades to come and have already hinted that we plan on using them for photo and video when our daughter (now only 1 years old) has at bat mitzvah and a sweet 16! If we have any say in the matter they will do our daughter’s wedding video as well. We couldn’t imagine working with any other photo and video team ever again. Simply put: Starlight Studioz - Photography + Cinematography spoiled us in the best way and we are eternally grateful for all the love and hard work they put into their finished products. Thank you Ellen, Eddie and Dima from the bottom of our hearts.
Don't even think twice. Just book them! I have zero regrets about choosing Ellen, Eddie & team for my engagement and wedding photos and video. They are extremely talented, personable and absolute professionals!

Ellen & Eddie from Starlight did a phenomenal job on our wedding photos at such a short notice and at a reasonable price. We couldn't be happier about the photos and video.
The Starlight team spent around 13 hours on location on our wedding day, and really did a fabulous capturing our family, our emotions, and the amazing scenery. We felt very comfortable having them there, professional, but also relaxed attitude that fit right in with the mood we were trying to create.
Ellen & Eddie were amazing to work with! My husband and I were very nervous about selecting the right photographer and were immediately impressed with Michelle's approach to our event, her proposal and her general demeanor. Her communication skills and response times are fantastic and she was great to offer up a lot of suggestions on posed photos, candids, etc. The event went amazingly well and we could not be any more thrilled with our photos. So, so many beautiful shots.
The Starlight team photographed our wedding and we couldn't have been happier! They were extremely accommodating to our requests and most importantly, and their work is second to none! The pictures came out beautifully and we are forever grateful for all Ellen did to make our wedding day extra special!

What an incredible vendor! I cannot say enough glowing things about Starlight Studioz. Their style, vision, flexibility and professionalism made our wedding day and pictures absolutely perfect. I wanted vendors that I didn't have to worry about on day of. Ellen spent a considerable amount of time on the phone and in person discussing my vision and were always available by email or phone to discuss changes or ideas. I'd highly suggest getting a package that includes an engagement shoot. This was a great test run and allowed my husband and I to get used to being photographed :). Their pictures will be cherished for a lifetime!
The best decision we made for our wedding was to hire Eddie, Ellen & the starlight team. The photos and video came out amazing and they were so easy to deal with. By far the best vendor from our wedding.
Beyond amazing photography! Starlight studioz captured special moments between our family and friends so we can remember how incredible out day was. The pictures that they took of us (bride and groom) exceeded our expectations by a million fold! They were fun and were very engaging with us and all the guests! I can't say enough how gorgeous our pictures turned out! Everyone that sees them think they came out of a magazine!
Their pictures & videos as you can see are amazing! When it came to our event they were amazing! I get to relive my special moments through their amazing photographs & wedding film.

The best decision we made for the wedding was our photo/video team, Starlight Studioz. I can’t put into words how much we love our wedding photos, they look like they can be in a magazine, and I’m my biggest critic. They captured the true essense our wedding day, emotions, funny moments and ones we didn’t even know they captured. Our wedding film made us laugh and cry, and just can’t stop rewatching it. Ellen, Eddie & Oleg for being the most amazing team and for these unforgettable memories! Highly recommend!
The reason my husband and I chose Starlight Studioz as our photographer and videographer was because we were amazed with the way my friend Natalie’s wedding photos and videos turned out. Unfortunately, everything positive I can possibly say about the Starlight team has already been said. Just go ahead and meet with them. They did our engagement photos and our wedding and folks cannot stop saying how amazing all the photos were. The best part is that they let us enjoy the night with your family and friends, captures it all and never makes it feel invasive at all. The quality of photos is unmatched. We are excited to continue working with them.

I loved the photos on their website and knew I wanted to work with them, even though the package I wanted was out of our price range. She managed to make a custom package to give us everything we wanted for a price we felt comfortable with. They were worth every penny - and more!

It is hard to find words to express how incredibly talented the Starlight Studioz team is. We were blessed to work with them for both our engagement shoot and wedding photography. They far exceeded our expectations, not only captured our special day beautifully, but also managing to capture it in a way that truly tells the story of our wedding day. From the very beginning Ellen & Eddie made us feel at ease, appreciated as a new client, taken care of and they cared about our every need and want for our big day. We had a bad experience with a previous photographer, never & not part of their team, whom left us discouraged & disgruntled. Ellen & Eddie upon our first meeting were reassuring and on point ever since. Even a year later since our wedding our client vendor relationship still has remained as we have kept in contact. Hiring a videographer was a last-minute decision for us. We wanted to have our wedding highlights recorded, but not have to pay a dear amount. We wanted them to be there, but not have to spend too much time on planning and organising, as we have many other priorities in the larger wedding planning picture. Ellen and Eddie provided just that service. They were always quick to respond, listened to our style, and were there on the day without being intrusive at all. The end product was beyond anything we could have expected, and everyone was amazed at how good the two videos (highlights and full) were, and how much of the day's ambience the video captured. Professional, friendly, responsive, and top end quality! Thank you Ellen and Eddie!
Ellen & Eddie and the Starlight Studioz team are absokutely amazing. Our film turned out to be incredible. We had an incredible experience throughout the entire process leading up to the wedding. The day of the wedding they were there from the befginning until the end....capturing everything and making us laugh when everything wasnt going exactly as planned. The final product was beautiful, very artistically done. We had all our family over to watch and all thought we were watching a hollywood movie. They are awesome and recommend them without a doubt!

When I was planning my wedding I asked recent brides what was the one thing they wished they had done ans where their money was best spent on their videographer pr they wished they hired a videographer. I didnt quite understand until I watched videos from Starlight Studioz and saw that they dont just press record...Our video was everything we had imagined and more...it made us laugh, cry and remember...Best decision we made..We love our video and the Starlight team...Thanks Ellen & Eddie!
When my fiance and I went to the studioz we were blown away by Starlight Studioz.The highlights of our wedding left us speechless, breathless and sobbing with tears of joy. They captured all the important moments as well as others these other really great and fun ones that I hadnt event know about...They geniunely care about you as a couple and go above and beyond. Highly recommend to all future brides...Can't wait to use them again for another event.
We had a hard time finding a photography & videography we clicked with until we met with Ellen & Eddie from Starlight. They really made us feel at ease and answered all the million and one questions I had leading up to the wedding. They were very patient with us...especially me...I was the definition of a bridezilla...Everything turned out even better than we imagined...our wedding pictures look like they came out of a magazine......ive heard so many horror stories from friends who have already gotten married that it takes forever to get them...we received our photos within 2 months of our wedding. Our wedding film makes me cry like a baby...its so good. They have this drone they flew getting us these amazing shots of us at the park and outside ceremony. highly recommend the starlight team!
It has been 4 months since the the greatest day of my life. I still play the day over and over in my head. It would have not been so perfect without the Startlight team, and their beautiful photography & videography. They have an amazing ability to capture everything and go with the flow. Ellen, Eddie & team went beyond our expectations. The pictures are more than beautiful and I couldn't be more pleased. Their calmness made me feel at ease and their humor let us relax and feel comfortable allowing the most natural expressions to be caught on film. I can not say enough about how great Starlight Studioz were! So professional and easy to work with. They made us feel really at ease in front of the camera and the results were just beautiful. They did our engagement shoot, videography & photography. We also chose to do the same day edit, which our guests loved! It gave them a chance to see the what happened earlier in the day...sort of like behind the scenes. We receive sooo many compliments on our photos, wedding video and album. It took forever to choose our photos because they all were stunning!!! You can not go wrong with Starlight Studioz!!!
I truly believe that the photographer is one of the single most important components of a wedding. The venue can be beautiful, the food can be delicious, the music can set the right mood - but if the photographer can't catch it all to help you (and everyone else) re-live the fabulous memories? Then it's (almost) all lost! With that said, the Starlight team completely captured the feeling of the entire evening! Every time we look at the photos, the wonderful memories of that day come flooding back to us and immediately make us smile and reminisce about what a great day & party we had. Highly recommend without a doubt.
The team was so attentive and nice! I barely noticed they were there throughout the wedding but yet I know they were videotaping all the important moments. I would highly recommend!
Starlight Studioz is an amazing company. The entire experience was very pleasant. They met all of our requests in a professional manner. The one thing we were most impressed with was the attentiveness they provided during both the engagement photo session and the wedding. We loved our pictures and video. I couldnt have asked for more, from the first moment I contacted them it was easy to work with the team. I just got my video trailer and pictures. The pictures were incredible, Im going to have a hard time choosing the ones I want for my album there are so many I love. I was awed by the highlight clip definitely left me in anticipation of the rest of the video. They do an amazing job of capturing those that matter. Honestly, their talent is amazing. At the end of the day your video and pictures are the only memories you get to keep, so it's worth the investment to know that you are going to get exactly what you wanted. I highly recommend them!
Ellen & Eddie were one of our favorite vendors we had! personally I hate being the center of attention and I originally didn't want a video camera following me around all day! however I thought I would regret it if we didnt hire someone....in walks ellen & eddie! they responded so fast to my emails...met with my fiancé and I one mile from our house (NO other vendors did this), and was such a hit at our wedding that I have given their info to more than 20 guests! Eddie captured every second without being in our face and basically being invisible. I don't know how they did it but my husband and I are so happy with the final product! If you are on the fence...HIRE STARLIGHT STUDIOZ. You won't regret it :)

We are very grateful for how Ellen and Eddie were before our wedding, on our wedding day, and in receiving our dvds. Communication was excellent and he was flexible with song choices on our video. Eddie at Starlight Studioz was amazing. He is so down to earth and makes you feel like your a friend not just a client. The day of the wedding he was so attentive and worked so hard on the details. He made me and the wedding party feel comfortable. He got so much amazing footage. When my husband and I saw the final product we cried. It was more than we could have ever dreamed of. We weren't originally going to spend the money on a videographer but I am so glad we did... worth every penny. If you are unsure you should definitely get a videographer and it better be Eddie. He will make you feel amazing and comfortable and give you the best gift you could ever ask for... he did for us!
Eddie and his team did an amazing job with our videography, and I would highly recommend him! Ellen his wife was very responsive to email and phone. The quality of their work is outstanding, not to mention the price. I provided little guidance for what i wanted with the video, and it turned out greater than I could have ever imagined. They are very passionate about their work, and it really makes all the difference.

Had a wonderful experience with Starlight Studioz! They were very professional, attentive, and friendly. Since I had a destination wedding in NYC, I hired a videographer to film the special day so my family and friends back home would be able to see all the events of my wedding day. They worked with me during the editing of the video to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. They were extremely nice and professional to me and my family who attended the wedding. I got so many compliments on our wedding video, and my husband and I loved it. I would highly reccomend their services!
not long after our wedding we promptly received several copies of the completed dvd/bluray and all of our photos. they were a pleasure to work with before the wedding and are still easy to talk to and responsive during the process of choosing photos for the different albums now that it's been a few months after the wedding. really happy with them as our photographers!

We LOVE our wedding video from Starlight Studioz! I am so happy I found this wonderful company to do our wedding videography. They were professional, on time, easy to work with and the price was definitely right. Just visit their website and see how creative they are! They were a dream team of editing and shooting. We were able to pick our own music. They even captured little moments that I didn't even know anyone saw and other scenes like the food preparation that I wouldn't have necessarily noticed, but it is a special memory to have.

My wedding was 5 hrs away from NY and a hurricane was about to hit the tri-state area. While I was stressing that my DJ and other vendors wouldn't be able to make it, I was confident that my photo and video guys would be there. Two days before the wedding Eddie had three contingency plans to make sure my wedding was staffed, and he followed through on everything while keeping me calm. That's dedicated service!
The photo and video staff made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, and I have beautiful photos and video as a result. Highly professional and courteous people, who worked as a team and got everything done seamlessly.
The photo frames were the best party favors ever!

The filming and editing of the video was professionally done in a documentary style. They heard what I wanted and they provided it! I still look at my dvd and I fall in love with my husband all over again. Highly recommend them.
