Hiring Steve as our wedding photographer (and engagement shoot photographer) was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day! We felt so uncomfortable and awkward going into this process, but Steve literally took every single worry away from the moment we met him. He is so kind and funny and knew exactly how to bring us out of our shell to capture the perfect moments for our big day. He captured every single shot we could have wanted throughout the entire day from details, to family portraits to pictures of our flower pup to our first kiss and they all turned out incredible. We couldn’t have been happier with the photos we received (in a very timely manner no less) and will absolutely hire Steve again for any and every major moment in our lives! We sincerely couldn’t recommend Steve enough!

We first met Steve through a recommendation from our wedding planner. I asked the planner for photographers that embody dark, moody, romantic, beautiful, and candid. She did not disappoint with her recommendation! And I'm so glad that we met Steve. He's absolutely wonderful! He is super creative and fun to be around. We actually scheduled two engagement sessions with him before our wedding day and I'm so glad we did. It gave my husband and I the chance to get to know Steve a bit more (and vice versa) so that we felt totally comfortable with him on our wedding day. Beyond Steve being the most genuine and fun guy, he's also a beautiful photographer. He has the ability to transform ordinary locations into beautiful photos by capturing the light and perfectly framing the shots. We have been completely blown away by all of our photos and everyone that has seen them has nothing but amazing compliments to give.

I stumbled upon Steve's work while perusing the Instagram for our venue (Muckenthaler Mansion) and immediately fell in love with his style. I reached out to him soon after and he invited my then-fiance and I to meet him over coffee so he could get to know us a bit. He made us feel so comfortable and understood, we both left feeling like we knew we had found "our guy." Steve truly cares about capturing the story and feel of each couple he photographs and we both feel that he went above and beyond to make our wedding day incredibly special. On a day so filled with emotion and potential stress, Steve made us feel like we were hanging out with an old friend and we hardly noticed we were being photographed! He was such a calming presence and made everyone (even BOTH of our mothers--a true feat) feel at ease. Steve is super personable and super easy to work with. I needed to make some changes to our timeline a few days before the wedding and he was very flexible and understanding. Our wedding pictures are more beautiful than I could have imagined. He even sent us a few while we were on our honeymoon a few days after the wedding, which I loved. I am so happy with our decision to hire Steve and would do it again a million times over.

From the moment we met Steve Cowell initially, we knew he was our guy! You see, the idea of wedding photos was a little foreign to us, being the couple who doesn't have a ton of photos together (other than a few food or travel selfies here and there, or the rare photo as guests at someone else's wedding). Our planner had recommended Steve based on some sample images I had shown her, which were not your super cutesy/posed/standard wedding photos. After being super impressed by Steve's portfolio, we met him after work. You can't miss the iconic red-bearded and bow-tied guy! During our meeting, Steve made us feel super at ease, almost like an old friend we'd known for years. We shared our backstory and brainstormed ideas for our potential engagement photos. It was clear at that point that we wanted him to be our photographer. When we met for our engagement photos, once again, it felt like we were hanging out and spending the day with an old friend. It was amazing to see how quickly and organically Steve's creative vision would come to light as he would quickly survey our locations and gently guide us before taking photos. The best part was the way Steve would talk to us and coach us into the poses, which could definitely be odd or get a bit tiresome if the photographer wasn't so skilled. His techniques kept everything light-hearted, fun, and romantic. When we got our photos back, we were absolutely blown away! On the day of the wedding, Steve showed up excited and ready to go. From our getting ready photos to our first look, he made everything so easy and quick. We saw that organic creativity come to light again as Steve snapped shot after shot, engaging us and having fun with us the whole time. During the wedding, Steve and his team were on the front lines, not missing a beat and capturing the event as the night unfolded. There wasn't any point in time where we felt bombarded or like we were missing a photographer, as Steve and his team struck the perfect balance. It is clear that Steve loves doing his job, which shows in his professionalism and client interactions. The best part about working with Steve is that while we chose him because of the excellent photos he captures, we gained so much more than the finished product; we had memorable, worthwhile experiences during the process of being photographed by him.
