We live in London so to plan a wedding miles across the Atlantic in Fort Lauderdale - and ask our guests to fly in from all over the world - was a big ask... But everyone at Sun Dream Yacht Charters - especially the Wedding Wonder Woman that is Kristin - made the magic happen, while it all appeared effortless. From the start, Sun Dream were calmly there for us - and allowed us to adapt the wedding ceremony, reception and after party all to our (very specific) requirements. We wanted decor simple and done ourselves, we had the Captain marry us on deck, family and friends make speeches and another sing us down the aisle with his guitar. The Sun Dream team are friendly and such good value for money - to have the full bar included in our package was brilliant as we didn't have to worry about running out of alcohol for our thirsty friends and families - and the food... The food needs a paragraph all to itself. Our guests are still talking about the beautiful buffet food and asking for the recipes (oh, the coconut-crusted Mahi Mahi...) We've all been to many many weddings and NEVER had better food. And all service was efficient so it didn't take long to seat our guests again. But that's how the Catalina is run - utterly organised and ship-shape and headed by CAROL. We would have brought Carol back to London with us if we could. No nonsense, unflappable, kind, as soon as Carol was involved in the wedding, nothing went wrong and we could relax knowing that Carol had everything under control. The lady is a legend. We had the brilliant recommended DJ Roberto who did an additional set up for us on the boat roof and after dinner everyone danced the rest of the night of the way under the stars and Norma's bistro lights. One of our friends quietly said to us that it was better than her own wedding. That's how good our Sun Dream Wedding on the Catalina was. Just wish we could do it all over again. Thank you.

Just got back to Denver from our wedding (extended) weekend in Fort Lauderdale, Florida! Every moment was a dream come true! Kristin was so helpful throughout the entire process and never once seemed frustrated that I was sending her multiple emails per day. Jim, the on-board coordinator, made everything run so smooth and he was exceptionally attentive throughout the evening. Our guests simply can not stop talking about what an amazing wedding we had! One of the most important things for us was the food, and Sun Dream did not disappoint! Every aspect of our meal was amazing! Also, Sun Dream contracted our cake and DJ in the package. The cake was by Main Street Gourmet. It was beautiful and tasted SO good. Ray with DJ Eddie B and Company was energetic and engaging with our guests the entire time. I will happily tell everyone in Florida that Sun Dream is THE BEST venue in Florida!

Sun Dream made my wedding amazing! I can't thank them enough for how perfect everything turned out. Kristen helped answer every question that I had all throughout the planning of the wedding. Rose was also incredible. She coordinated the night perfectly and is just so pleasant to work with. My husband and I have the best memories for years to come. Thank you Sun Dream!

Where do I even begin? First off if you would like a unique and beautiful venue look no further. The yachts at sun dream are all stunning, well maintained, air conditioned and pristine. Our wedding was on the smallest of the three, Sun Dream, for a wedding of 75 people. We went for the all in one package with this venue, which can be a gamble but everything turned out more than exceptional. Basic white linens and gold chiarvari chairs are provided which are great backdrop to any color scheme. We brought our own center pieces and runners to add our colors as well other decorations for the gift table, and a bunch of other pinteresty things - which the Sun Dream staff set up for us on the day of. Their florist was amazing and created the exact vision I wanted. They have a kitchen on board where they prepare all of the food fresh for the events. We selected a buffet dinner and it was some of the best event food I've ever had. Their bakery worked with us to customize cupcakes instead of a wedding cake, and the captain was able to work with us to perform a ceremony individualized to us. There are also plenty of restrooms on board, and the staff is always come around to put another drink in your hand. I also loved the fact that there was a huge bridal suite on board for me to get ready in! The sun dream staff is so caring and so dedicated to making sure your vision becomes a reality. We worked with David during the entire planning process. Jim was with us during the day of making sure everything was running smoothly and that we were on schedule. Everyone was asking me if planning this wedding was hard and I got to say "nope, this is so easy" Thanks to the Sun Dream staff. I can't believe we got to have the wedding of our dreams for a heck of a lot cheaper than some of those hotels and ballrooms and you don't get nearly the service or the views. Look no further for your next event!

These guys were absolutely unbelievably fantastic! Couldn't recommend highly enough. We got married on the Caprice in February 2018, leaving from Sea Isle Marina in Miami. We started planning in April 2017 and had initially booked the Sun Dream anticipating around 70 guests. When the number shot up to 100 the team was so accommodating in helping us to move the reservation over to the Caprice which has a bigger capacity. David George was so helpful, professional, accommodating and supportive all through the planning stage and very tolerant of our multiple visits to the yacht and special requests (we wanted special wines and champagnes, brought the boat down to Miami, extended the hours, had multiple vendors visiting in advance etc.). In terms of the time slot, we are so pleased we paid for an extra 2.5 hours (we did 6.5 hours total). We wanted everyone to really enjoy the experience and party into the night, so glad we weren't rushed with just 4 hours. The captain and crew were also incredible. Rose is a dream to work with (made everything run so smoothly) and the captain was so accommodating of our special requests re: route etc. Could not fault any of the service - in fact, it consistently went well above and beyond. As well as incredible service, the food was top notch. All of our guests keep raving about it. So far, all of our guests have told us it was one of the most incredible and memorable weddings they've been to and people actually keep asking if we can do it again! lol. All in all - our wedding on the Caprice far exceeded all of our already high expectations. Huge thanks to the whole Sun Dream team!

Sun Dream was wonderful from start to finish. Kristin was so responsive, accommodating, and patient with us as we worked out all the details for our wedding. She fulfilled our special request for Sam Adams Cherry Wheat beer as a memento from our years spent together in Boston. She spent a great deal of time finalizing and reviewing everything with us and making sure everything was set to ensure an amazing night! On the boat, our on-board coordinator Carol was incredibly attentive and kept everything moving smoothly throughout the night. She told people when to walk during the ceremony, gathered us for wedding party photos, ushered guests downstairs for dinner, and even redirected well-wishers for a few minutes to make sure Enrique and I could actually eat something! We had Sun Dream's in-house florist, David George, provide a lighted wedding arch with tulle and also drape tulle along the boat railings. It was a beautiful backdrop for our ceremony. The servers and bartenders were very friendly and respectful to our guests. As for food, the spinach rangoons, egg rolls, lemon parmesan chicken, and garlic mashed potatoes were a huge hit with everyone! Kristin and the rest of the folks at Sun Dream were truly a dream to work with. Thank you for making our wedding unforgettable for us and for our guests!

We relocated our wedding to Fort Lauderdale (due to work) with about four weeks to plan. I was so lucky to find Sun Dreams. They took care of every detail, including the cake, food, drinks, flowers and DJ. Kristin was amazing with planning every detail and the entire crew on the yacht was first class. Wendy ensured that everything ran smoothly on the yacht (including my nerves)! The boat was gorgeous! I wish that I had booked longer than the 4 hours, because it went by too fast! It would have been worth the cost. As I mentioned, I used the Sun Dream venders. Other than the food and drinks, you can hire outside companies to handle flowers, cake and music. Here's a few things to note: David George, the florist, was totally amazing. I have said this before and it's true.... I could have spent 6 months interviewing every florist in town and would not be able to find anyone who could have exceeded my expectations more than David did. I selected David because I was short on time and unfamiliar with the area, but I would choose him again even if I had unlimited time on my hands to shop around. He is exceptional! I chose from the Sun Dream cake selections. FABULOUS! It was beautiful and delicious and GONE by the next day!!! Every crumb! Not because it wasn't large enough for the group, but because it was so good that the group who followed us back to the condo ate every bit of left over cake! Yum! Note that David did the flowers on the cake. Eddie Bs handled the music. Christian was our DJ and he was great. He played everything at the right time and was completely flexible. We had a buffet and open bar. The food was delicious! There were multiple bar locations and plenty of selections. Could not have been better! My major mistake was that I didn't hire a photographer. Why did I decide not to do this? Well, I figured that a friend could take some pics and it wouldn't be a big deal. What happened you ask? Well, one person dropped their phone and it shattered along with all of the pictures. The other can't figure out how to download the pics in order to send them to me. As a side note, the pics that I've seen (which are not very many) could not have been taken at more unflattering angles and lighting. Spend the money and hire a professional. You will be glad that you did. In summary, my wedding could not have been more perfect thanks so Sun Dream and the wonderful crew.

We had our wedding reception on The Catalina and it was absolutely stunning! We didn't go out looking to have our reception on a yacht but just kind of stumbled across it and are so glad we did. Our guests have all said it was the best wedding they have ever been to and that they don't think it will ever be topped. They all raved about the food and service and the spectacular views they got to take in during our 5 hour reception. We worked with Kristen to secure the date and details and she is amazing. So helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. Carol was there on the day to make sure everything went off without a hitch and made sure we ate plenty of the wonderful food and always had a drink in our hand. We ordered our cake with them too and it was delicious!! The staff were all so amazing and fun. We used the Sun Dreams DJ - Eddie B & Co and Chris, aka DJ ELOW, was fantastic!! The dance floor never emptied and he was just so much fun! We really had the most amazing wedding, more than we could have ever expected. Thank You Sun Dream!!! :)

We could not have chosen a more spectacular venue for our perfect union! Yacht Caprice picked us up from the nearby DoubleTree hotel where we were staying (yes, picked us up) and easily hosted about 80 family and friends for the wedding and reception! The food was freshly prepared and was scrumptious! ...and the crew... that crew was top notch, efficient, and very professionally run! The captain even got into the act by performing the ceremony, which fit right in with our nautical theme! Be sure to hand over your marriage license, and they'll take care of obtaining witness signatures, and mailing it back to the issuing county clerk of courts. We received the original license signed, sealed, and delivered (mailed) back to us from the clerk of courts within 10 days. The crew even handed out gift bags and sparklers to guests as they disembarked. We wanted for nothing! Special attention was paid to everyone, not only the bride and groom! It was smooooooooooth sailing for 4 hours on three different levels! Everything was well coordinated by Kristin on the office side; to Rose, 🌹 who may not be a captain, but she runs the yacht like she is! It was an affordable adventure, one where you will definitely get your money's worth! Well done Sun Dream Yacht Charters, we'll see you again for our 10th anniversary!

We can't possibly being to describe how PERFECT this venue was for our wedding!!! We are from Pittsburgh and got married on the Sun Dream on June 9th. Everything was absolutely amazing!!! Our guests can't say enough great things about the food, staff, and overall environment!!! Everyone was so easy to work with and very accommodating. From the start of the wedding planning to the actual day they were all there to make the day exceed our expectations. The food was delicious and the cake looked and tasted exactly as we had hoped. The flowers, floral arrangements, and centerpieces were gorgeous! We are so thankful for the amazing staff who made this day extra special for us. We truly had the wedding of our dreams!

Couldn't have asked for a better evening to unravel. Just wished we spoke with the woman on the boat all night with us ahead of time just so we didnt have to go over so much the day of. Great food, amazing scenery and great compliments from our guests

We just had our wedding aboard the Sun Dream yacht Catalina on 10/28/16 and it was the best ever!! From day one when I first emailed Kristin I knew we had to have our wedding here. She was very nice and professional. She answered every question, concern, and email promptly. She was on top of everything and guides you every step of the way. She literally made it stressfree wedding planning! Then all the staff, the captain, and Carol (the on board coordinator) aboard the yacht are seriously the best!! Carol was also very nice and professional and made sure everything went smoothly and kept everything moving and organized before, during, and after the wedding. We had the Captain do our ceremony and he did an amazing job. The whole staff was great and made sure our guests were well taken care of all night. We also used DJ Chris which we booked through them with Eddie B Co and we have nothing but good things to say about him as well. He kept everyone on the dance floor and moving! Now to the food on the yacht, although you can't do a taste test before let me say the food was out of this world delicious!! Our guests were raving and still are that it was hands down the best wedding they have ever been to with the best food they have ever had! They want to go back just so they can eat more of their food. That's how good it is! Everyone can't stop talking about how amazing and beautiful everything was from just the yacht itself, to the staff, to DJ, to the food, the cake, and drinks. Perfect wedding!! If you want a stressfree wedding where everything is taken care of and your guests will be talking about forever this is the venue!! Couldn't say enough good things about Sun Dream Yacht Charters!!

Me and my wife got married in August 2016 on the Sun Dream yacht and it was every it of wonderful. The food, the staff, the yacht, the DJ, the desert and most importantly the scenery. Kristin was very helpful from day one when we first met her and until the final days of our wedding. They have all the services you need and we used them and you just need your guest to show up and yourselves and dance the day away. Thank you Sun Dream and DJ Ray!!!!!!

My Husband and I just had a wedding reception on the Catalina with Sun Dream Yachts. I have to tell you that I was completely blown away by the service, food, and everything in general. Our only concern was not getting to taste the food or cake ahead of the event. We were given a menu to choose from. We picked what we thought would be good for our crowd, and the reviews of the food were phenomenal! Everyone raved about the food, and the cake was amazing as well! We even had a few people ask where we got the cake from…and when we told them it was part of the package with the yacht company, they couldn’t believe it! We couldn’t be happier with our experience on the yacht for our reception and I can’t imagine doing it any differently than we did. One of our guests, a father of 5 girls, said to me after the reception, that out of all the receptions they have been to for their girls, this one was the best! I think that was in part a reflection on the yacht company and deciding to do our reception a bit different than the normal… If there was any hesitation on your part before about hiring Sun Dream Yachts to do your wedding/reception, let me put your mind at ease. It will be the best decision you will ever make!

This wedding venue is top notch! We had a destination wedding in late February aboard the Sundream and were very pleased. I was only able to see the venue once when we selected it so was very nervous about getting everything done. Kristen, Jim, and staff were incredibly helpful with the planning and the execution of the wedding. I had many questions being in Ohio and they were super friendly and timely with all responses which helped ease my worries. The food was simply amazing (we didn't get to taste before again because we were in Ohio) including the cake. We had passed hor'derves, salad, chicken and pasta. Everything was great and our guests raved about it all. The staff was attentive and even informative on the famous boats we were passing along our journey. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone who would like their wedding on the water. It was exactly what we envisioned for our special day.

The affordability and quality of this venue was beyond our expectations!We had our wedding on the Caprice and the staff, David, Rose and Jim were so flexible and helpful. We were able to board the ship a few days in advance (thanks to the boat's schedule) and set some things up ourselves. Rose was amazing and helped the night run smoothly with no bumps. The food was so delicious (I heard from the guests, as the bride I didn't even have time to think about food) and the drink selections were great.The experience of having our reception on a boat was just so unforgettable. Our guests had a blast! We were so happy with everything and have told everyone in hopes of sending Sun Dream some more business.

I can't say enough about the whole staff and crew from Sun Dream. They exceeded my expectations every step of the way! My wedding was on the Caprice on Dec 30, 2012. They made my dream wedding come true. Kristin was so helpful during the planning stages and Rose was so accommodating the week of and during my wedding. All of our guests have continued to rave about the crew and how terrific the food was. If you're thinking about having your wedding on one of the Sun Dream yachts, think no more. They will make your dream wedding a reality!

I was very impressed with the service I received from Kristin with Sun Dream Yacht Charters. Any question I had which was countless being the bride, she would immediately delivered the answer in a friendly and professional manner. She made this experience very delightful. Sun Dream Yacht Charters offered three different package deals as well three different Yachts to choose from. We picked the Classic Package which we had Prime Rib and Parmesan Crusted Chicken for the main course. The food was delicious! The wedding cordinator did an amazing job as well keeping the wedding reception organized in a timely fashion. The value was definitely worth the price. I would recommend Sun Dream Yacht Charters to my friends and family.
