Sun Gold Photography's Team was easily one of the best parts of our wedding. My husband and I are introverts who hate having our pictures taken. We were incredibly nervous about having to stand and pose and model. Sun Gold Photography were friendly, connectable, and really brought out our energy with ease. My husband loves architecture, and the Team really made sure we to capture the amazing buildings around us and built it into our photoshoots. 10/10 would hire again for any event.

Damian and his team went above and beyond to make us feel so special on our big day. He is such a great person to work with. Damian made us feel so comfortable and confident. We loved working with him to shoot our engagement and wedding photos. He was also such a joy to collaborate with on the album. Damian has such a passion for what he does and it SHINES in his work! I can not say enough wonderful things about Paula and Damian! From the first moment I met Paula I felt so comfortable during our meeting. She was flexible and easy to talk to. I’m beyond ecstatic with my engagement, bridal, and wedding pictures. Damian and Paula are the absolute BEST!!! Not only are they extremely professional they are also funny, kind, understanding, and helpful. Originally I was supposed to get married in 2020, but COVID had other plans, however Damian and Paula were super flexible and understood the date change. Then when I decided to do bridal portraits Paula made it happen for me, even though I asked last minute. The day of my bridal portraits I had so much fun with Damian and Paula, not one smile had to be faked and I didn’t have to try. They made the experience so easy and not at all stressful. Moving onto the day of the wedding, Damian was PHENOMENAL! I was out into such a bad mood by my mom and no part of me wanted to take pictures anymore. Damian pulled me off to the side, and had such a pleasant conversation with me and made me feel better. Damian helped me laugh off the anger, and even in the midst of the incident he still managed to get beautiful pictures. We also weren’t able to do a specific picture I wanted due to something at the venue, so Damian came up with a different sunset picture plan and made it work. The pictures that I got from SunGold are beyond amazing, and I would totally use them again in the future for other types of pictures. I love this family run business, they are so kind and amazing. I can't say enough good things about Damian and Paula with Sun Gold Photography! They were with me and my husband through everything - from our engagement photos, to my bridal portraits, to the day of the wedding. They were both such a pleasure to work with. I had many slip ups, like forgetting to wear my engagement ring for our engagement photos, booking my bridal portraits last-minute, and then having a day-of change of venue for said bridal portraits because of weather, but Damian and Paula were so accommodating and patient with me (THANK YOU!). Also, Damian has a way of making you feel and look like a rock star while posing for pictures. He gives great direction without anything looking "too posed" or awkward. I booked Sun Gold on the advice of our venue contact - in fact, we booked all of our vendors based on his recommendation, and all were fantastic! Damian and his assistant, Clayton, were AWESOME! My husband and I had our wedding in 2016 (i could have sworn I did this before) and we did a 1 year anniversary shoot with them because they were so amazing and could have us always smile and relax. Honestly they know how to make a bride feel special, not stressed, and they know how to get great memory shots. Some of my favorite shots were ones that they took that just got reaction. For instance my dad seeing me in my wedding dress for the first time. (After being in a few weddings since my day I found many photographers miss this special moment) Our guest loved them and commented on how fun they were and made them feel at ease. Yes they will get the traditional wedding stylized shots (and they will take your breath away) but the ones you dont even realize are being taken look and feel just as amazing. They will make you wonder if it could have been staged, but Sun Gold Photography will help you with keeping a special moment special and not fabricate it. I can not say enough about them and I love them so much for making our day so special and stress free. I loved working with Damian and Paula. They were nice from the beginning and offered great advice in terms of when to take pictures and how to pose. Damian did a great job with my bridals and even encouraged me to let my personality shine in the photos. His coaching is great and his attitude was contagious for all of us. I have to give him major props for dealing with intrusive family members in a polite and well-mannered way, and I can't thank them enough for that. They nailed all of our requests and were always sure to check on us if something seemed wrong. My bridal photos turned out beautifully and I can't wait to see our wedding photos. On our wedding day, Damon came to the venue extra early and took some great shots of the venue, my dress, and rings before we even got there. My mother and I came across Sun Gold at the San Antonio Bridal Expo. Their booth was set up in a way that just lured you in with a mock lounge/living room style, making you feel welcomed to come and get to know what they are all about. Not only are Paula and Damien warm and friendly, their photography is beyond amazing. I'm one of those people who can be very expressive when I talk, I make faces and use my hands to get a point across, it's just part of my charm I guess. I'm always showing up all goofy looking in pictures, but let me tell you, they made me look like a sophisticated queen on my special day and I know that was no small task. My dad was so nervous about the dancing with me because he isn't the best dancer, but every photo of us dancing looked just beautiful! You couldn't even tell that he was nervous or that I was slowly realizing how right he was about his dancing abilities. Long story short- Sun Gold is your pick for any occasion. We took bridal photos in Gruene and on that day it had to be in the 50s, which felt great to me! They kept our spirits high and laughing the entire day. The bridal portraits are phenomenal! The day of the wedding they arrived early and ready to have fun! They (as well as the videographer) kept us laughing and brought a calmness to the day. The were respectful the entire day and gave instructions very well. I made sure to dance with them at the reception! The photos were turned around very quickly and once again blew me away. Another note that should make you book them now... my husband was a ball of nerves that day and even HE agrees the photographers were phenomenal. They have been on several covers of magazines and their photos speak for themselves but incase you are still questioning it and want my personal opinion, My husband and I love Sun Gold Photography! We heard about them because of my sister-in-law when we paid for her wedding photography. When they sent us her proofs everyone fell in love with them and we instantly wished we knew about them when we got married because we would have hired them in a heartbeat. Wedding: Iberostar Rose Hall Suites, Montego Bay, Jamaica (July 19, 2015) Next to agreeing to marry my husband, picking Sun Gold Photography to capture our wedding day was the best decision I ever made!! From start to finish, working with Damian and Paula was such a joy. Wedding planning can be stressful, esp. planning a destination wedding, so I was worried about booking a photographer that I wouldn’t meet in person until the wedding day. From the first email, I was put at ease and knew we were in good hands. They were very responsive and flexible with all my questions and the cost was great!!! The day of the wedding, when we met, it was like meeting up with old friends. I did not have one crazed moment. I was calm and cool mainly because of them. They were able to deal with my crazy family and keep order too! Every single detail of our day was captured perfectly. Our daughter, the bride, lives in Houston. On one of her weekends in San Antonio to handle wedding business we decided to cold-call some photographers based on their websites. Though they had a shoot later that afternoon, Damian and Paula squeezed us into their busy afternoon to meet, see examples of their work and discuss their services. They were warm and welcoming, easy going and obviously very talented. It wasn't a difficult decision; we knew they were the photographers for her wedding and bridal portraits and they did not disappoint! They were friendly and fun and got along great with all the wedding party and guests. We would use them again in a heartbeat. Their work has a unique artistic quality and captured our daughter wonderfully. At our wedding I was dreading pictures because i'm more of the lets get to the party kinda girl but I also knew I would want the pictures later and he made it as painless as it could be, I cant imagine the torture another photographer might have made me go through! On top of the pictures after the ceremony during our reception at the beginning when my husband and i were first eating her comes and shows me a picture of a sunset and i thought what are you showing me, well he says this is your sunset its your choice but we can go now. What was I to do it was beautiful so we dragged our butts to the parking lot b/c he knows a good shot that's for sure! During reception everyone wants pics and Damien would set up everyone and himself before ever making us come over, for this I love him even more! I recommend this sweet couple to all brides !
