I cannot say enough great things about Sweep The Leg. Throughout the night, numerous guests of all ages approached my wife and I just to tell us how great the music was. Josh kept the energy level up on the dance floor all night, playing all of our favorites but also mixing in some surprise songs that everyone loved dancing to. He read the dance floor incredibly well and even mixed things up a bit by handing me the mic at one point to sing along to "Born on the Bayou" (my best man had mentioned that I love karaoke in his speech). Josh also stuck to the wedding schedule so well and never missed a beat. Everything was literally perfect. My wife and I didn't get to hear much of Tom and Josh performing acoustically during our cocktail hour, as our photographer pulled us outside during a break in the rain, but from what we did hear and from what guests told us, Tom is an incredibly talented guitarist and Josh has pipes like John Mayer! These dudes are seriously so multi-talented! Last but not least, Josh and Tom were also just really awesome guys to be around. I bonded with Josh over our shared love for oldies rock during the lead up to the wedding, and he was equally as personable on the actual day. They both helped make our wedding so stress-free and enjoyable. Working with Sweep The Leg was an absolute pleasure. If you want your wedding to be one that your guests talk about for years, I highly recommend Sweep The Leg as a DJ/acoustic duo.

Sweep the Leg absolutely made my wedding! I had several guests come up and let us know how incredible Josh and Tom were. (They got wedding requests the following morning!) Josh was incredible to work with from the moment I found them, he easily hopped on a call when we needed to talk and responded to emails very quickly. Due to weather, we had to move our ceremony location indoors which was only decided on 2 hours before the ceremony. A quick text to inform Josh with a response of “got it!” was the perfect response as I felt he understood he didn’t need to remind me of the weather 😉 When I got to the ceremony about 10 minutes before it started, Josh came to say hi and let me know he was all set. I dropped a complete bomb on him, “I am so sorry, we now need to include an additional song as the groomsmen & his parents are walking out now too.” Again, Josh without hesitation or frustration “Any song in particular or would like me to pick one?” and then Josh was off to set it up. I could not be more thankful for his professionalism, patience and kindness that day with so many things going on. We hired them to do an acoustic hour during cocktail hour and received incredible reviews immediately, and still getting rave reviews weeks later. Our guests loved having live music! When we got announced for the reception, my guests were so loud and it made the moment even more exciting. I know without Josh & Tom, the crowd would have not been that loud. For the rest of the evening, everything was perfect. Songs flowed perfectly and the dance floor was packed. We loved providing a playlist of songs we wanted and let Josh & Tom add in others, we couldn’t have had better songs played. Do not think twice, hire them immediately and you will not regret it. Thank you both again!

Josh was so fun to work with! His energy is contagious and all of our guests raved about our music after the wedding. The live music at the ceremony and cocktail hour added to perfect touch to our day, and Josh’s DJ-ing skills were unmatched. Can’t recommend them enough!

Josh and Tom are the best- we have been to so many weddings and they were honestly the best we’ve ever heard! They truly made our wedding so special. They had the dance floor jam packed from start to finish. Our family and friends could not stop raving about how great the DJ was after and so many have already asked for their contact. From our first conversation right through the wedding, they were so easy to work with. They took a genuine interest in getting to know us as a couple, and tailoring our special night to be exactly what we wanted. Our ceremony was outside on a windy day, but they provided state of the art microphones to ensure that our friends and family could hear us without the wind becoming a factor. During our cocktail hour they sang and played the guitar. Our guests were blown away by how great the vocals were. I would highly recommend Josh and Tom for any event you need music for. Not to mention they are both SO DOWN TO EARTH and easy to talk to. We felt like we’ve known them as friends our whole lives- that is how much effort they put in to make you feel comfortable and at ease - we fully trusted them to get our 200+ wedding party on the dance floor and they kept everyone on the entire night!!! Also appreciated them respecting our “do not play list” and “must play list”! Could not recommend more they are TOP OF THE LINE! Professional , punctual, friendly, kind, FUN, and fully equipped!

Josh and Tom were AWESOME. I literally never write reviews, but they deserve the good praise. My wife and I reached out to them about 6-7 months before our wedding, when another vendor fell through and they were super responsive, fun and easy to work with. Wedding day went off without a hitch, nailed every song during the ceremony and even announced a raffle winner for us (something unique we did for our wedding). All in all, can’t recommend enough.

Josh and Tom were absolutely fantastic. Everything was absolutely seamless, communication was very easy, and I loved the fact that we were able to put songs that we really wanted played right into a Spotify playlist. Their personalities and skill really got everyone excited and having fun. The dance floor was full from the end of dinner until we had to pull the plug about 4 hours later. The uplighting that was provided completely transformed the venue in the absolute best way as well. I can't recommend them enough!

Sweep the Leg knocked our wedding out of the park!!! I asked Tom for a rock 'n roll band and he gave me the rock 'n roll performance of a lifetime. From the seaside, mood-setting acoustic set at cocktail hour, to the high-energy wedding party introductions and overall MC, to the 5-piece rock band that brought down the house... the tone for an epic night was set early and often. Friends and family are still raving about the music, and several guests have already inquired about future gigs. I could go on and on but not enough good things could be said. It was absolutely fantastic. What. A. Night. Thank you to Tom and Josh Groleau, Jim Taft, Tom Appleman, Luke Gosselin, Janine Antonellis, and Joe Carson. Kudos. We are forever grateful.

Josh and Tom did an absolutely phenomenal job providing the music for our daughter’s wedding! The acoustic music for the ceremony and cocktail hour were lovely—guests commented on the live music, and any song we requested was in their repertoire. During the reception, every guest was on the dance floor with the up-tempo music; Josh worked in family favorites and kept the party moving. Throughout the planning process, they communicated with our daughter and her fiancé to make sure the music was exactly what they wanted. They are both lovely people-- professional, personable, and friendly, and we cannot recommend them enough. They will help make your wedding perfect!

If you’re looking for a DJ to book for your wedding or event, book Sweep The Leg. No seriously, book them! You will have no regrets! I found them while searching The Knot…dragged my fiancé and some friends to Boston to listen to them play live and we knew immediately we needed them at our wedding. Fast forward two years later to our wedding day and they KILLED IT. We could not have been anymore happier with their performance. From the instrumental ceremony that had everyone in tears, to the reception where the dance floor was packed all night! Our guests keep raving about them! Thank you guys so much!!

I needed to write a review for Sweep the Leg because they were such a big part of our wedding day! We planned the wedding from out of state so it was sometimes hard to contact and book vendors. I reached out early and Josh was super responsive. Unfortunately, we had to postpone the wedding a year and they accommodated us without issue which was a huge relief. The day of our wedding was actually the first time we met! They are just genuinely nice guys all around and Josh is hilarious! Prior to Josh had us fill us fill out a worksheet to get a feel for the type of music we like. He also sent us a link to create a Spotify list of music for him to pick from and honestly the process of just picking songs was so fun. They provided music for our ceremony, did a live acoustic set for our cocktail hour and DJ'd the whole reception. Josh knew exactly how to get people on the dance floor and loosen up to have a good time. One of my favorite moments was when he played a classic Portuguese song and it got all of the family up and dancing. I honestly had a complete blast and was on the dance floor all night. I had so, so much fun and wish I could relive that night again and again. I could not have asked for a better team for my wedding. Do not hesitate, book them now!! Nick and I hired sweep the leg to do our wedding last night and I’m still on cloud 9! They were absolutely wonderful. I can’t say enough good things. So personable, kind, flexible and offered everything from creating a live acoustic cover for me to walk down the aisle to, to acoustic live cocktail hour, switching to dj for the reception (where the party did not want to end come 11) and taking on the spot requests and making them happen without a second thought! I’d say if you’re considering sweep the leg for your wedding, event, etc, say yes!!!

We hired Sweep the Leg Entertainment to perform acoustic guitar at our ceremony/cocktail hour, followed by a DJ set. They were unbelievable in all aspects. I had numerous guests come up to me after cocktail hour stating "they sounded so good I thought that was a DJ playing acoustic songs until I realized there were two guys in the corner playing live music." Besides keeping everyone on the dance floor all night, they were nothing but professional in all senses especially after we had to reschedule our reception from September 2020 to August 2021. Don't look any further and don't settle for a cheaper DJ. These guys are worth every penny and more!

This was easily the best decision we made on wedding vendors! Josh was SO easy to work with. He made a point to get to know us and our vision before the wedding. They played acoustic for the ceremony and cocktail hour and my gosh did they exceed our expectations! Many guests throughout the night complimented the live performance. We asked for specific songs to walk down the isle and it sounded flawless. Then comes the DJ aspect for the reception, awesome! ! They played fantastic music and they totally understood the vibe we were going for. According to our venue, we danced like a 200 person wedding even though we only had 94 people. I think that in itself tells you how awesome they were! Cannot recommend enough!

We cannot recommend using Sweep the Leg for your wedding more!!! We loved them at a friend's wedding and are so happy we also used them at ours. From the beginning, Josh & Tom have been responsive, professional, organized, and communicative. We love live music and the biggest reason we love Josh & Tom is that they do both acoustic, live music, but can also be incredible DJ's. They did our first dance live and my husband cried the entire time, it was that beautiful. Their ability to read the crowd with their song choices and keep the dance floor full is truly amazing. I don't think I stopped dancing all night!!Thank you both for the best night of our lives, you both are the BEST!

I’m known as picky when it comes to DJs & music choices & we were very happy! Great communication, we got to pick our own songs in an easy way, very attentive with announcements when I was yelling out for shots & when the groom saved the wedding for a beer run. Guests kept commenting on how hilarious he was. I 100% recommend!

I might have heard more "WHERE DID YOU FIND THIS BAND?" more than I heard "Congratulations". They are THAT good. Cant wait for another reason to celebrate so we can hire them.

We cannot thank Josh and Tom enough for making our wedding day! From Tom’s acoustic solo for the ceremony, to the cocktail hour duo, to the dinner/reception DJ....our little Covid wedding could not have been more perfect. We are so so so so SO thankful that they were available at the last minute once we decided to go ahead with a small ceremony, as we had postponed our “big day” until 2021. Josh and Tom were absolutely amazing! They made the planning for ceremony and reception seamless, and ultimately made planning a wedding during a pandemic SO much easier. With the combination of live music and DJ, it brought such a cool variety for everyone to enjoy from the ceremony, to cocktail hour, and to the reception (Not to mention their live music is fantastic). They kept us and our guests on the dance floor all night long - would recommend to ANYONE!! Book them and you will not be disappointed!!

Sweep the leg was amazing!! Josh and Tom were outstanding. They went above and beyond. They did live music at our ceremony, sang at our cocktail hour, and DJed our reception. They provided so much in one package. Our day was perfect and they made choosing a dj so easy. We loved having Sweep the Leg DJ and be the band at our wedding! They were accommodating to our wishes for love music during the ceremony and cocktail hour and a DJ during our reception. The live music was exactly what we wanted and they did a great job DJing to keep the dancers happy during the reception. The only minor setback was that they forgot to include our anniversary dance that we had planned prior to our wedding. Regardless, we would definitely use them if we did it all over again!

If you're in the market for a band or DJ for a wedding or any private event, LOOK NO FURTHER! This is long overdue! I first want to say, I am not a hype man, I only speak the truth. Josh and Tom, aka Sweep the Leg Entertainment were absolutely phenominal during our wedding. My wife and I had very specific requests, Josh and Tom made them come true flawlessly and appeared effortlessly. We asked them to play a specific acoustic version of a song during the ceremony. Our guests cried so many tears of happiness, my wife and I surfed away from the alter. Then we asked them to play a live set for the cocktail hour. Crushed it. Finally, finishing up and killing a DJ set for us during the reception, comparable to Tiesto and Avicii. They were an absolute blast to work with. The quality of these two professionals is top notch. I've been asked numerous times about who "the band" was at our wedding and that they absolutely rocked the house down. SWEEP THE LEG, You guys are awesome! Keep doing you and keep the great vibes going! Looking forward to seeing you guys in Boston on weekends! Will always refer my New England friends to you for all their rocking out, DJ crushing needs! We were so incredibly grateful to have partnered with Josh and Tom of Sweep the Leg for our wedding this past October. We were very torn between a live band and DJ for our wedding entertainment. The bands were a bit out of our budget but we didn't want to give up on having live music. After a bit of research, we came across Sweep the Leg and they were able to give us the best of both worlds. We had Tom play acoustic guitar for our ceremony, Josh and Tom perform as a live duo for cocktail hour, and then DJ for reception and dance party. They were extremely easy to work with and were very patient as we took forever to choose our music and made changes up until the week before the wedding. Tom learned two new songs on guitar for our ceremony and our guests were raving about Josh's beautiful voice. Loved that we could collaborate on shared Spotify playlists and they played every one of our 'must play' songs. One of my bridesmaids has already booked them for her wedding next year. Highly recommended for couples who are looking for a DJ/Live Music mix and local talent in the Southern NH/ME area. Thanks so much!

Sweep the leg were a truly amazing band. They sounded excellent, had such wide knowledge that no song choice was a problem. They were very friendly guys and we would love to see them again. They helped make our special day just that bit more special. Couldn't recommend them more highly.

I am an audio engineer by trade, and was pretty set on having a live band for my wedding. Unfortunately the venue we decided on did not have the space to facilitate a band. We spent a lot of time interviewing wedding DJs, attempting to explain to them exactly what we wanted. The majority of them didn’t listen to me or my concerns when it came to the specific venue. The venue was multi tiered and I was concerned about coverage for things like the speeches and the first dance etc… MOST DJ’s simply said, “It will be fine, we’ll just turn up the speakers on the main stage level.” This was not the answer I wanted as they would be buried in a corner and I don’t care how loud you can make it, there is no way to make it both audible to the above and below levels while not making it deafening on the Main Level. Sweep the Leg’s Josh and Tom were very responsive to this issue and brought in additional satellite/ delay speakers to give a clean and crisp sound to everyone both seated and dancing. At no point over the course of the evening did I need for them to turn down or turn up. The volume was always proper to the point were you could converse at the tables and on the dance floor but still enjoy the music. They also did an amazing singer/songwriter style performance outdoors for our cocktail hour, which scratched my proverbial live performance itch. They were also extremely accommodating to the music we wanted played. My wife and I spent a very long time putting together the playlist we wanted with “Dinner” “Dance” and “Absolutely must be Played” songs and they did not deviate one bit to our extremely specific requests. They even went out of their way to help us to cut down an 8-minute Mother/Son Dance song to a much more tolerable 3:30 without cutting any of the parts I wanted to make sure were heard. If I were to do it all again, I would have done it the same way! Thanks guys, for everything! Sincerely, Paul Higgins

My husband and I were married about a month ago, and our guests are *still* reaching out to compliment our DJs! Honestly, these guys were absolutely amazing! We were married at a all-in-one location (Castle In The Clouds), where the ceremony was on top of the mountain and the reception was in the carraige house below. Josh and Tom set everything up and ran music at the ceremony, played guitar at the cocktail hour, and rocked DJing the ceremony afterwards! They are polite, funny, and made me feel completely at ease. They knew exactly what music to play at the reception; I am completely serious when I say they kept our guests dancing the whole night!! I cannot reccommend these guys enough. If you are looking for DJs for any event, please give Sweep The Leg a call! They made our wedding day an absolute blast, and I cannot fully express my gratitude!

AMAZING! From start to finish Josh & the band made our night perfect! We knew we wanted a special experience for our wedding guests. To find a Band/DJ combo was difficult. Sweep the Leg kept our guest dancing the ENTIRE night!! We had a broad range of ages and the music selection was chosen perfectly. From the intimate acoustic set played during our cocktail hour to the band rocking out bringing guests on stage to sing along during our reception...we couldn't have asked for anyone better! We even had guests asking for the band to stay later!! They even had uplighting included with our package and set up everything! It was beyond perfect! When we were planning our wedding, the DJ was the vendor I was most nervous about. I am so happy we went with Josh at Sweep the Leg, because he is phenomenal! We went with live music from Josh and Tom during the cocktail hour, and then MC/DJ for the reception. So many people could not stop raving about what an amazing voice Josh has, and what a great selection of music they played. I was worried about whether people would dance at our smallish (~50 people) wedding, but Josh played such a great variety that kept people on the dance floor all night. Truly, what a great experience working with him, he is a down to earth and incredibly nice guy who did such a great job making our wedding fun.

Josh and Tom were absolutely fantastic. We had a dynamic wedding with 3 different locations for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception. My brother played the keyboard during the ceremony, and Josh and Tom made sure that he was all set with audio equipment, and also ensured that our officiant was good to go with her mic for the outdoor ceremony. These are details that we didn't really think about, so these guys were lifesavers. One thing we loved about Josh and Tom from the get go is that they can both play their own music and also DJ. We went and saw them for Sunday Brunch at Bostonia in Boston (which I'd highly recommend doing regardless of whether or not you have upcoming nuptials) and realized right away that they would be perfect for cocktail hour. Our guests loved their song selection and would not stop telling us how awesome they were. As for the reception, they made it perfect. They are not only energetic and fun, but also super organized. They really gave us a sense of confidence that everything was under control, and we could unwind and have fun with our guests. I can't emphasize enough how great these guys are as a wedding band/DJ, but also as people. They seamlessly fit into our group, getting along great with everyone and ramping up the energy. They were also incredibly easy to work with and super flexible. We collaborated on a playlist on Spotify, and 99% of the songs we picked out were already on their playlist, which made us feel like we really didn't even need to worry about the music piece. It's been 3 weeks and we're still getting compliments about Josh and Tom - I really can't recommend them enough!

Josh made our wedding experience so easy and fun! He was so helpful, flexible, and just a really fun person to be at our wedding. He is a professional through and through. Being just one month removed from my wedding, the stress from all the decisions that need to be made are still fresh. Believe me when I tell you there was no easier or better decision we made than to pick Josh and Tom from sweep the leg as our DJs. Their communication and willingness to do whatever we asked of them is unmatched. Although we had some direction of what we wanted for music selection, most of the playlist was of their choosing and we could not have asked for a better playlist. Josh is not bashful at all and provides awesome adlibs throughout the night to get everyone engaged. We had a less than traditional entrance to the ceremony and he absolutely delivered. The sound and lighting were perfect. We couldn’t have thanked them enough and highly recommend anyone looking at sweep the leg entertainment to choose them, you will not be disappointed.
