Nikki made us the most delicious wedding cake & cupcakes at an affordable price. During our initial tasting she sketched a mock-up for us to make sure she knew what we wanted and it turned out just as we imagined. I highly recommend working with her!

She decorated the cake exactly how I described and delivered it on time to the venue. I also rented a beautiful cake stand from her. Plus the tasting samples were very generous. Highly recommend!

Nikki was easy to work with. She delivered a beautifully designed cake at a great price. All of our guests also commented on how delicious it was! Even my picky Italian mother loved the cake! I highly recommend. My husband and I are looking forward to our one year anniversary cake!

Nikki from Sweet Ladies Bakery is the best. She made us a beautiful wedding cake for our March 2018 wedding – the cake was as gorgeous on the outside as it was delicious on the inside. We loved it so much that we brought the top tier home to eat the next day! Working with Nikki was wonderful – she made the whole process so easy and fun. The cake tasting ended up being one of our favorite parts of wedding planning. I’ll definitely be reaching out to Nikki again in the future for cakes for other special occasions.

While the pricing for Sweet Ladies was a bit higher than other bakeries we were looking at, it was a joy to work with Nikki. She made everything easy. Our cake looked even better than we had hoped for {wonderfully eccentric}, and we got so many complements on it. It was also super delicious, and we are really looking forward to our anniversary cake!

We must have tried 10 different cake bakers before we decided on Sweet Ladies Bakery. What an awesome cake! I just can't rave enough about what a great product, what amazing service, and what a great experience we had with them. Not only did they provide us with our dream cake, but it was so incredibly delicious. They were able to do a different flavor for each layer of cake, and really pulled out a one of a kind cake for our Halloween themed wedding. They are incredibly affordable too. I was so intimidated by the prices of cakes in Northern Virginia but we got our three tier cake for less than $500. Definitely call and at least schedule a tasting! You will understand why you need to go with them after you try their amazing cake!

The cake was perfect looking and tasted deilous! We received so many compliments on the cake that people sent us more pictures of the cake then us! NikKi listened to what we were looking for and designed the cake better then I could have ever hoped for. She was totally on board with our waky flavor choices and they we're so yummy. I plan on using her again for birthdays and other events.

I ended up working with Sweet Ladies through my venue, which partnered with Sweet Ladies Bakery to provide the cake. It was a pleasure to work with Nikki. From planning through the big day, she was responsive and helpful. During our in-person planning session, I loved the way she sketched out what she had in mind. When I forgot to tell the florist that we wanted flowers for the cake, Nikki was quick to reassure me that everything would be ok. On the big day, the cake was a work of art. It was beautiful outside and the alternative lemon and chocolate layers with raspberry buttercream were even better than at the tasting. My only regret is that I didn’t get to eat more cake during the wedding!

Nikki at Sweet Ladies did fantastic work for us. She was very responsive to our initial inquiries and shortly had us come by for cake tastings. She was able to adapt our wedding invitation design into the cake design to lovely effect. Both her carrot cake and her almond cake were to die for. She also provided us with four cheesecakes for the wedding that our guests raved about.

Our cake both looked and tasted amazing, and I say that as someone who doesn't have much of a sweet tooth! Nikki was great to work with and did a fabulous job of getting to know us. Our cake was exactly as we imagined after designing it with her, and it was so, so, so good!

We are so extremely happy with our beautiful wedding cake and the amazing groom's cake. Nikki went out of her way to make sure that all of our requests were met, and the cakes were so delicious! We would fully recommend Sweet Ladies Bakery to anyone looking for a fantastic bakery!

We had a small celebration of 45 people and bought the cake from them. It was a 14" round one-layer red velvet cake covered in white buttercream. It was delicious and very reasonably priced: only $84, and we had leftover cake for a week. If you want a custom design, with more than one layer, their prices are still very competitive. But I strongly recommend their "regular" cakes (as in, not wedding cakes) if you are not too picky. The white buttercream design was beautiful and sophisticated, and they can even decorate it with buttercream roses for no additional cost.

Our cake was amazing and everyone loved the red velvet cake! She made our cake to what we visioned and the sugar flowers were stunning!!!

For my 9/20/14 wedding cake, I used Sweet Ladies Bakery. From the initial consultation/taste-test to the day-of, everything was deliciously well done. I had so many different ideas about what kind of wedding cake I wanted and Nikki (the owner) was able to talk it out with me and put my vision into a cohesive design. I went with a lace design and the yellow cake with chocolate buttercream and the marble cake with white chocolate buttercream. The cake turned out beautifully and the guests couldn't say enough good things about it. Sweet Ladies also does an option that you can choose to have your 1 year anniversary cake (the top tier) made for you at the time of your 1 year anniversary, so you can have it fresh and can re-live all of those memories (instead of it taking room in your freezer for a year!) My only thought for improvement is that I sometimes had to wait a few days for an email reply. Nothing fell through due to it, but compared to some other vendors, it seemed to take longer to hear from the team. Otherwise, flawless execution and a wonderful place for beautiful and delicious cakes.

Well, well, Sweet ladies cakes were so yummy that people went back for more and cake that was suppose to be for 100 guest was GONE! We had coconut, red velvet and vanila. A mixture of tier and cup cakes. They were on point with the designs that we had selected as well. The only thing that I didn't like was having to run around for the cake accessories, I would have loved to have the baker do this because I have no clue what I was doing and didn't want to keep all the accessories afterwards but at the end of the day, it was the cake that matter and it was on point!

1. Their chocolate cake tastes like homemade ones I had growing up. 2. Great Bailey's icing. 3. Best fondant you've ever had. 4. They actually made a minecraft cake for my husband. So awesome!

Nikki with Sweet Ladies Bakery did a fantastic job with our wedding cake. Not only did the cake look so beautiful, it tasted just as good, if not better, than what we sampled! She was so easy to work with and truly listened to our design ideas so that we got the cake that we wanted on our day! She did an excellent job!! We were truly pleased!

A cake to feed 130 guests, it was delicious! Everyone loved it and we continue to receive complimentary feedback, especially from some hard-to-please relatives! They were easy to work with, professional and affordable.

Nikki and her team did an AMAZING job with my wedding cake. It was exactly what I wanted!! It turned out wonderful!! Our guest also LOVED it! We received many comments on how good it tasted and that it was fresh and perfect!! We cannot thank Nikki enough for her hard work and amazing talent!

The cake was beautiful and tasted great.It was delivered on time without any trouble. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is that the color of the design should have been metallic gold not orange which was agreed on.

Nikki at Sweet Ladies is not only a master at making delicious cakes, but she goes above and beyond as a vendor. Our wedding reception was cancelled due to a power outage and Nikki had a backup generator so the cake was fine! And she delivered the cake to a new location only a few hours before we arrived. It was so special for us to be able to have our cake on our wedding day, even though nothing else we planned for the day remained the same- we still had a tasty beautiful cake. Also, her cakes taste wonderful! We couldn't decide from our tasting which we like best so we had three different flavors. I recommend this vendor hands down. Thanks Sweet Ladies!!!

Nikki is amazing and makes GORGEOUS and DELICIOUS cakes!! We gave her just a few ideas and she came up with a gorgeous wedding cake design! I'm so happy that she was recommended to us!

I absolutely loved our wedding cake! It turned out exactly as I had pictured it! I never actually got to meet Nikki personally but was aways friendly through our e mail conversations. I did meet her assistant when we did our tasting and she was very nice. I got so many compliments on how beautiful and tasty the cake was. I would definitely recommend Sweet Ladies Bakery to any Bride!

I saw a picture of Nikki's previous work and knew she could do a great fire truck, so I had no doubt it would be great. But let me tell you, I complicated things by wanting a climbing fireman groom on a ladder from the truck cake to reach the bride at the top - and the rest of the cake to be actually cupcakes. I am not kidding when I say that Nikki worked with me tirelessly and in the end, I gave her the toppers, the ladder, the cupcake stand and said, "Make it pretty.". And that's exactly what she did! Amazing detail, awesome presentation! I wish I could post a picture here :-)

I used Sweet Ladies Bakery for my wedding 4/28/12 and I aboslutely LOVED them! I told Nikki what I wanted and she brought it to life! She incorporated my wedding colors into the cake while keeping it traditional (which was exactly what I wanted). I also asked Nikki to make a groomsmen cake for my now husband. It turned out fantastic, he is really into snowboarding so that was the theme. Everyone at the weddign was blown away by both the cakes, and my husband thought the groomsmen cake was the best he'd ever seen!

We loved working with Nikki. We sat down with her and she designed a great cake for us -- and it turned out even better than I'd hoped. It was SO delicious and completely beautiful. We got a lot of great praise. Unlike a lot of bakeries in the area, these wedding cakes are actually CAKE (as opposed to tiramasu or custard), and all the flavors we tried were fabulous. I can't wait for my first anniversary cake!!

Nikki did a great job with the cake for our October 15 wedding. We had a specific design in mind, and she worked with us to sketch it out. When we first met with her, she brought little cupcakes as samples of each of the flavors we wanted to try. It was no problem to have two tiers of red velvet and one of almond. The icing was beautifully done and looked perfect. The price was in the middle of the three bakeries we looked at, but we felt the quality was almost as good as the highest-priced bakery (and we heard that Nikki had actually trained with that baker). We felt comfortable that she would do a good job, and she did!

The cakes are delicious! The only reason that I can't give 5 stars across the board is because it was sometimes challenging to get a quick response. (A hard thing for a type-A bride like me, but I know there were some changes with the dual owners at the time.) In retrospect, it doesn't matter because the delivered on time, and all three cakes were fantastic artistically and delicious. I first contacted Sweet Ladies for a retirement cake, and it was better than I anticipated. The whole group raved about the cake and design. Next we ordered the grooms cake (red velvet in baseball theme), and again the crowd raved. (I'm not a red velvet fan so I couldn't tell you, my hubby said it was a little dry. The few bites that I had were fine. Our venue put it in the fridge, and I think they taste better at room temp.) Finally the wedding cake....I am biased, but it was the most wonderful cake. It was gorgeous and oh so delicious. I will use Sweet Ladies bakery for all of my specialty cakes in the future.
