Working with the Marriott Water Street Tampa was an absolute pleasure. Claudia Zanine, helped us every step of the way and and the whole team exceeded our expectations!
Marriott Water Street was the perfect wedding venue from start to finish. We wanted everything to be in one location and we couldn’t have picked a better spot. It’s a perfect place to wake up and get ready. The ceremony and reception were beautiful. Everybody raved about the food! The hotel has an unlimited amount of picturesque spots to take photos. We didn’t even have to leave for the after party. We were able to gather easily with our guests at Anchor and Brine. Nobody had to think about transportation at any point in the day which allowed for smooth transitions and a stress free day. Our Event Manager Hayley was absolutely fabulous to work with. Communication was great and she was open to working with any ideas we had. The entire process was smooth and easy. We are so happy with our venue selection.
We had our wedding at Tampa Marriott Water Street in September 2022 and it was absolutely incredible – everything we hoped it would be and more! We had a significant number of out of town guests, so it was amazing to have the entire event in one place so our guests were only an elevator ride away. It is expensive per plate but there is SO much included it is absolutely worth it. Chivari chairs, linens, open bar – it was such a relief to have all of that taken care of by the venue. The best part was working with all the wonderful staff. We ran into a bit of a scheduling issue and Brittany was extremely helpful in getting everything fixed. The Bell Captain, Brian, was fantastic in helping to ensure all our guests got their welcome bags. Additionally, the valet team was SO patient as we loaded and unloaded tons of wedding items into multiple cars. However, the most amazing person we had the good fortune to work with was the Senior Event Manager, Jeni Wallace. She was SO much fun to work with – incredibly knowledgeable, quick witted, and honestly just a lovely person to be around. She was our fairy godmother and made all our dark wedding vibes come to life. We are so grateful for her and her incredible team!
My husband and I loved having our wedding at the newly renovated Tampa Marriott Water Street! We really appreciated how accommodating and helpful they were throughout the process of postponing. Huge thank you to Brittany Erigo in particular, she was the one who helped us throughout the entire postponing process and she definitely helped ease a stressful situation. She was a pleasure to work with and also helped book my bridal shower at the JW Marriott across the street, which was also a huge success. As for our wedding, our ceremony was held right down the street at Sacred Heart Church so it was extremely convenient to get to and from the venue. Our room block was also held at the Tampa Marriott Water Street and all of our guests loved the rooms, the hotel and the fact that there was a lot to do nearby. My husband and I also had luxury suites booked for the weekend, we loved them as the suites are newly renovated and are very big so can accommodate a good number of people. Our cocktail hour was held in The Florida Ballroom Foyer, followed by our reception in The Florida Ballroom. All of our vendors and coordinators at the hotel worked together to make our special day the best day of our lives thus far. Our entire wedding day ran so smoothly from start to finish. My bridesmaids and I were able to get our hair and makeup done in one of the meeting rooms next to the ballroom, which was super helpful and accommodating so that our suite didn't get too messy. The ballroom ended up looking absolutely breathtaking (shout out to our amazing vendors) and all of the staff were so kind, professional, fun and helpful. Execution of the entire night was perfect. My husband and I had a dedicated staff just for ourselves the night of the wedding and it was a fantastic experience (Miriam was amazing). The food and drinks were also 10/10, everything tasted delicious. As our event manager, we worked with Jeni Wallace in the beginning but then began working with Christine Alejandro after the pandemic. Jeni & Christine were both always very kind and professional. I saw them both the night of our wedding and was able to thank them in person for everything they had done to ensure that our special day was everything and more. We were blessed to be able to have such a great experience working with the Marriott and truly wish we could relive our wedding day over and over again!
I have worked in hospitality and I’m a very forgiving person because of it, but avoid this hotel! I checked into my corner suite ($500 per night, king bed, separate living room) the night of the rehearsal and went to shower and get ready beforehand. What I found on the shower wand was repulsive, fecal matter left over from the previous occupant. It looked like they’d given themselves an enema! So I went down to the front desk, told them what I found and headed to my rehearsal. I received an email saying it’d been cleaned while I was gone & when I got back with my MOH it was still there. So I returned to the front desk and they weren’t much help. There were no available rooms big enough to accommodate my bridal party the day of my wedding. They offered to send someone up first thing the next day (so I could sleep in a room with poop on the shower) and they’d get to it around 10/11 am the following morning. After a while the night manager finally came up to the room and cleaned it himself. This was at midnight. They offered to take $200 off for my troubles but made it sound like they were doing me a favor. Finally when I checked out the day after the wedding the manager called me. He offered me a free night for the trouble but couldn’t offer me the same room & then finally agreed to take off the first night when my room was contaminated. So many diseases can be spread that way & it made me worried about touching anything else. I can’t tell you how disgusted I was with the entire situation but I don’t want it happening to any of you. When something like that happens, it needs to be taken care of immediately! The rest of the staff was amazing- valet & bellman especially. But I will never return.
I loved loved loved using the Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel and Marina as our wedding venue! We got an amazing room block rate and there was so much to do at and around the hotel for our guests. We reserved a table at Champions for our Welcome Party that worked out great. Luis, our wedding coordinator, was a lifesaver in so many ways! I would definitely recommend to other brides.
We got married in November at this venue and it was absoloutely beautiful. We chose it because of its location next to the water and proximity to our church. It has a tropical feel in the middle of downtown. We had the cocktail hour outside by the marina and everyone loved it. The hotel has a tropical feel in the middle of downtown!!! Katie, our wedding coordinator, was excellent. She honored all of our requests and promptly replied to our emails. She set up the room exactly as we wanted it and it looked perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful the day of the event, and the guests were very happy with their food. The only blip was that when the desserts were brought out, no announcement was made, so many people were unaware that they were available. Other than that, I would highly recommend this hotel for your wedding!
The hotel staffs were professional and helpful throughout the planning. Our event planner Katie Edwards was fabulous. We gave her a budget and she provided so many options. She was always pleasant to be around. The only complaint I had was the renovations that were going on for the republican convention in the middle of the lobby, so guests could not use the lobby bar. The scenery in hotel for pictures is breath taking. We could not go outside due to the weather so all the pictures were taken inside. The pictures came out perfect! I am so happy I chose this venue.
They worked with us to get a group rate and accomodate our guests. Employees were helpful and extremely friendly!
I was so happy with our decision to have the ceremony and reception at the Marriott waterside. We had the ceremony on the beautiful back patio which over looks the downtown Tampa ware channel, and reception inside the ballroom. The staff was great to work with. Katie was wonderful and was quick to swear ny questions or address any concerns we had. She was very organized and helped guide me with what all needed to be done ahead of time and made sure everything looked great and ran smooth the day of. The catering staff made delicious dishes that looked and tasted great. They made sure we were happy with all the selections and went through everything in detail at our tasting we had. Everything the day of looked great and we couldn't have been happier. I would definitely recommend the Tampa Marriott waterside to anyone looking for a great venue for a ceremony and/or reception.
Everything was amazing. Above and beyond what I had imagined! Aleksandra did a great job coordinating my dreams to come true
As many brides know planning the perfect wedding can be exhausting and frustrating at times. After a very hard and stressful weekend shopping for our venue we were definitely sure we wanted to have both, our ceremony & reception here at The Marriott Tampa Waterside (kudos to Michelle Griffin for the great presentation)... The entire staff were exceptional from day one. The great service , the chef's extraordinary food and whole ambient of that night was just exactly what I was looking for... It was truly the best decision we made. A+++++++ to Janice Ramirez, I can not begin to express the joy and hapiness Axel & I felt during and after our wedding... A Dream Come True... I would definitely refer Marriott Tampa Waterside to any bride to be for they made my wedding an amazing and memorable one... Superb Job!!! Here's some photos of our wedding...
