My wedding dress shopping experience was amazing at Altar Bridal! My stylist was Maureen and she was so bubbly, amazing and helpful! She helped me find many dresses that suited my style and asked me questions that helped me eliminate dresses I chose to try on but didn't suit what I wanted. All in all, I found my wedding dress here and it's beautiful! Maureen even found a beautiful veil that looked like it was created for the dress. Being a size 16/18, I was worried there wouldn't be a vast selection of dresses, but there was! I love that I got to immediately take my dress home and it'll need minimal alterations, since it fit me perfectly! It was also within my budget. Thank you to Altar Bridal for helping me find my dream dress! I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for their wedding dress.

With my wedding only 5 months away, I knew the Altar Bridal would be my first stop - as it’s an off the rack shop. I was not disappointed! Emily was amazing to work with. She listened to my vision, worked with my budget, and I left 90 minutes later with my dream dress! Best part is that it was way under budget AND stunning. Definitely make this your first stop when dress shopping.

I bought my wedding dress about four months ago from The Altar, and have nothing but good things to say about them! My stylist and all of the ladies were all so warm and welcoming, and great hype women!

I rarely take the time to write reviews but this one definitely deserves it. Emily was a dream to work with. She was so fun, kind, and patient. She was the calm, confident, and collected to my cautious, concerned, and clueless. I picked out a bunch of dresses that I ended up liking on but wasn’t sure about. She asked if she could clear the deck and grab a few she thought I’d like. She knew what I wanted when I didn’t and without being rude or pushy, helped me put on my dream dress. She was 100% right. She knows what she’s doing. She is the definition of “made for this”. Her degrees in fashion and design show!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! (I’m a cautious person so I didn’t buy until the next day, but she definitely deserves the credit. )

I had a appointment with Emily, and let me tell you she is amazing. She was so much fun and made my appointment such a special experience. From the time walked in till the time I left I enjoyed myself. I didn’t but my dress immediately but came back later and bought it. They had it pulled again and had it waiting for me. The quality of the dresses is outstanding and I stayed under budget! I am so happy with my dress and experience there. Definitely recommend this place!

I had come in to the altar not knowing what I wanted at all. But after 90 minutes I walked out with a gorgeous dress that was the pick of the associate helping me. Everyone there was so helpful and so caring, even if they weren't helping me directly.

The Altar and Yesi came to my absolute rescue... with a bad altering experience less than 8 weeks away from my wedding, we came to the Altar to find a backup. They were kind, speedy, and had a FABULOUS selection for being an off-the-rack store. I was made to feel beautiful and went home with my dress that day :)

Emily and the team at The Altar were phenomenal to work with from the time we arrived throughout the experience! I was able to try on multiple styles and have open, honest discussion with Emily to find my dream dress. I was so anxious about this process and the team made my worries fly away! Not pushy on sales and truly present for being a support during my visit made all the difference. My dress came home with me on the same day, which makes me so happy to know I won’t have to worry about waiting for it and fitting alterations in on time. I absolutely love my dress and cannot wait to show it off next year to my friends and family when I walk down the aisle!

This place is AMAZING ! Very size inclusive which was awesome. I had Emily as my stylist and she truly helped me find my dream dress! I would highly recommend this place !

I had the best experience here! I came in not fully knowing what my dream dress was, and Yesi helped me find it! I tried on a lot of beautiful (well-priced) dresses, and Yesi listened to every thought I had on each one. I definitely found my dream dress by the end of my visit, and they had it cleaned for me in less than a week. Super easy, super friendly, and a super fun visit!

My experience at The Altar Bridal with Gelly was amazing. I am not the one who loves shopping for myself and my previous wedding dress shopping was stressful and ended in me leaving discouraged. This was not the case at The Altar Bridal. The room to try on dresses was spacious and comfortable. Gelly kept me laughing and feeling confident in myself the whole time. Gelly also provided a no pressure atmosphere and gave helpful tips and feedback to help me determine what I loved about the dresses. I walked away with my dream dress and I can’t wait to wear it in October!!!

I bought my wedding dress a couple of weeks ago from Altar Bridal and I am still so happy with my experience! The staff here operates like the bridal salon of your dreams: they're attentive, knowledgeable, fun, and enthusiastic about finding your perfect dress! My whole experience was wonderful from start to finish and finding my wedding dress was icing on the cake! They have complimentary dress cleaning which they say could take a month, but my dress was ready in a week. I highly recommend going to Altar Bridal when you're dress shopping- you won't be disappointed!

I was so excited to go dress shopping at the Altar Bridal. I made my appointment months in advance and followed their FB page for months watching the new styles arrive in excitement. I called a few weeks in advance of my appointment to confirm and to notify that I had an additional guest joining my party. I spoke with Carly, who was lovely, and said, no problem, you don't have to let us know your party size. The day before my appointment, I received a voicemail from Monique indicating that my party size was too big and I needed to remove 2 people from my party. I also received a follow up voicemail on the day of my appointment from Monique indicating the same. My sister contacted Monique back to discuss who then told us we needed to remove 2 people from our party. After much discussion, my sister informed Monique that we had people travel in from out of state, as far as Texas, to be here on this day for my dress appointment. We ultimately were given the OK to bring my party to the appointment but were told that we would have to sign waivers because we had a party of 8. I was really worried after these phone calls because I didn't want any negativity or issues during my dress shopping. Upon arrival, the dress shop was very busy, but we were assigned Carly as our consultant. We were never asked to sign any waivers, and we were given a huge changing room that easily accommodated our group size without issue. Carly was absolutely amazing, making me feel so calm and comfortable, and was never pushy in the process. She complimented my group of 8, saying they were one of the nicest groups she's had of that size. She was VERY helpful with trying on dresses, asked me pointed questions to help me determine my final choice, and ultimately helped me find my dress that I said Yes to! Then when I was getting ready to check out, I noticed some dream catchers that completely aligned with my wedding decor, and Carly took the time to contact the owner and ask if they were for sale. The owner offered them to sell to me, and I purchased those for my wedding as well! Overall I purchased my dress, a wrap, and decor, all at a very reasonable price. Carly was AMAZING to work with. I would've given this shop 5 stars if there wasn't the confusion regarding the party size, even after I had called to confirm a few weeks before my appointment. I felt like it was an unneccessary stressor, but luckily it ended up not being an issue when we arrived.

Tatiana was amazing to work with. She understood my vision and was very patient with me and my mom. I tried about 10 dresses and found the one here!!! I was dreading the dress shopping, but boy was I surprised! Tatiana and the entire staff at the location in Barrington were so sweet and made me feel really special. I definitely recommend The Altar Bridal for all soon to be brides in Chicago.THANKS AGAIN TATIANA AND COMPANY!!!!

I loved this place and the customer service they offered. Sadly I was able to find a dress that fit. There was no high pressure and lots of different dresses and accessories to choose from. Great prices too.

I went here today!! Monique made my dreams come true!! She’s truly amazing! So helpful, knowledgeable, etc. it was a pleasure working with her and I found a gorgeous dress!!

I came in from waaay out of town (New England) to visit friends, including my maid of honor and a bridesmaid, and we figured this would be a great chance to do a preliminary wedding dress shop while we were together (which doesn’t happen very often). I mostly wanted to try different silhouettes to get a feel for what I would look for back in NE, and did not plan on buying anything. Monique and Ashley were both so helpful and had very thoughtful insights about each dress I tried on. As I put one of my final picks on, Monique popped in and said, “Ohhhh! I know I don’t really even know you, but that dress is YOU!” She was right. It was absolutely GORGEOUS. An hour later I walked out the door with the dress and a cathedral length veil for an *unbelievable* price. 10/10 - would definitely dress shop here again (but hopefully not 😂).

This by far was the best first experiences I have had in a bridal retail environment. I went simply just to "look" and walked out with a dress that was absolutely perfect. They all made me feel so comfortable and really took there time listen and get a feel for what my style is. And the prices! Perfect!

Found my perfect dress! We came in last minute after visiting one other Bridal store. It was right before closing and Ava was a huge help. Didn’t feel rushed in the slightest, she asked lots of questions to get to know me and my style and the type of wedding I wanted. They were extremely professional and seemed to genuinely want to help me find the dress of my dreams. I was torn between two choices but went back the next day and said yes to the dress. I am so happy I didn’t let the perfect dress slip away! Couldn’t have been more pleased with the service during both my visits, the ladies in the store did an outstanding job!! Highly recommend.

Just bought a dress at the Altar- the staff is very nice and the dress is beautiful! If you want a unique/one of a kind dress, this shop is a great place to try!

The Altar Bridal was the second bridal salon we went to for wedding dress shopping. They were wonderful! Ava and Ellen were friendly, very helpful, and accommodating. Ava helped me find the right style and fit, and THE dress. Ellen at E Veli Atelier did beautiful and quick alterations. I bought the dress at the beginning of February 2019 for a wedding in March 2019. While I do not recommend doing this in such short amount of time, I am incredibly thankful for Ellen's service and quality in a short timeline. She is amazing!

Fantastic experience far exceeding the two other bridal shops my daughter explored. Monique was so warm and knowledgeable and helped us find all the desired elements in "the perfect dress" including price. Great selection, lovely setting, expert personnel. Don't miss The Altar. PS they have more than bridal gowns but that was our focus.

Highly recommend The Altar! They had just gotten a lot of new sample dresses and I definitely had plenty to choose from as a plus size bride. Ava was super sweet and amazing to work with. She made my bridal party just as comfortable and happy as I was. Even got to video chat with my MOH the whole time! She let me pick out the dresses I wanted (not all stores do) and also gave me suggestions based on what I wanted. I thought my dress was perfect, but then she found a belt (that didnt come with it) and it made it stunning. Prices are incredible and amazing quality. They even have alterations on site and their head lady came and gave me a great quote with amazing suggestions to make it unforgettable (we are adding straps). Super excited for my dress and so thankful to Ava and Altar for helping my dreams come true.

I walked into The Altar Bridal after going to numerous trunk shows and bridal salons (I.e. BHLDN and a Stella York trunk show) I really was settled on my dress choice and just went in for a look right before paying for my dream dress at a different store. As soon as I walked in the staff was more than welcoming and every single consultant on the floor was helpful and looking for the details to bring the best options available. I like to think that I have Fashion forward sophisticated taste, so when I looked at the dresses they had I noticed quality of cuts and materials and and inexpensive correlating prices, I was shocked. I highly recommend this bridal boutique to any ride as a first dress shop experience all the way down to checking before you make any commitment anywhere else! They will more than likely change your mind on your dream dress & find you a dress 10 times better.

I cannot recommend this place enough! The dress shopping experience had been the most overwhelming part of my Wedding Planning. Monique and team were there to help to make it incredible. Both their impressive selection and their expertise was everything I was hoping for. While the search might have spanned a couple days, I finally was able to find the perfect one.
