The staff, food and ambiance is amazing! We cannot thank them enough :)
The only downside is interacting and working with the events coordinator, Kelly. She is unprofessional, extremely behind on email responses and phone calls. We had to hunt her down (visiting the hotel, calling her number and all other numbers and emails galore) to be able to receive a loose confirmation for our rehearsal dinner. We are extremely frustrated with her as she overcharged and underdelivered. It took months for her to respond to emails.... this one experience was the most difficult to book. We asked for a final invoice, which was not received until AFTER the night of, and overcharged as mentioned.
Her manager was able to step in and assist to make things right, though that took until the night of and recapped after (don't worry, Kelly wasn't present to the event).
The Armstrong Hotel is absolutely wonderful, the staff and management was perfect. The food outstanding, the service received from Kelly was not. As long as she improves, you will be glad you booked with them... best of luck to you all!
I had my wedding reception at the Armstrong Hotel and also stayed there during this time. The hotel is beautiful and a great place to have a wedding. It is a nice location near bars/restaurants in Old Town. My main contact at the Armstrong, Johnathon, was super nice and helpful. He was very easy to communicate with even out of state. Our reception was so much fun, the servers were amazing, and the food was perfect. I am so happy that I decided to have my wedding at the Armstrong Hotel and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique place to get married.
I contacted them to try to book blocks of rooms. They explained that it was required to be two nights for weekend bookings, which is fine. They said that you would get $10 off guest rooms, and be able to book up to 20 rooms if you pay $600 to book a conference room and get their catering service (food and drink not included), or the max you could book at a time were 5 rooms. Fine, but I decided against doing that. But then when they sent the actual contract, the night of my wedding (Sunday) was $100 higher than the night before (Saturday). They also said that cancellation had to be before a cutoff date, but then never said what the cutoff date was. They said the reason for the price hike was because it was graduation weekend. They flat out lied. There is no graduation that weekend for CSU or the local school district. That, and its not that likely for a graduation to happen on a Sunday rather than a Saturday. Just-- pick a different hotel for room blocks if you're getting married in Fort Collins. When people lie to you and want the people you love to pay a ridiculous sum of money to attend your big day, it doesn't feel good, and it's not good business practices either.
