We are so happy with our decision to get married at the ACC!! It is absolutely beautiful and the staff is amazing. Kelsey the coordinator especially went above and beyond for us and is so kind and helpful. She was a HUGE part in making our day perfect and run so smoothly. The food was so delicious and the drinks were made perfectly. We are still getting compliments from our guests! Our vendors also loved working with the ACC. I rented the bridal/statehouse suite to get ready in and there was plenty of space for all of my bridal party to get ready with a great view of the statehouse. We cannot thank the ACC and Kelsey enough!!

We got married June 2023 at the ACC. The wedding went above and beyond our wildest expectations. The staff was very accomodating & helpful. Kelsey was great to work with and had fast communication with myself and our wedding planner. We used the ACC for the cocktail hour & reception only as we held our ceremony elsewhere.

When we started looking at wedding venues, we originally thought we wanted somewhere with an outdoor ceremony space, so much so that we almost cancelled our visit with ACC. However, as soon as we walked in we fell in love with the beauty of the ballroom, the dining room, and the fireplace, and ACC immediately captured our hearts. As we worked through the months of planning, Kelsey did a great job answering all of our questions and directing us to upcoming things that needed to be addressed. On our wedding night, Kelsey and her team guided us through the evening seamlessly. Our only negative feedback is that we were surprised to find less food on our dinner plates than we expected for a typical meal and when considering the cost per plate. Other than this, we overall were very happy with our ACC experience and would highly recommend working with Kelsey and this venue! We would have given 4.5 star rating here if we were able to.

The Athletic Club (especially Kelsey) was absolutely fantastic! Kelsey was very communicative throughout the planning process (via a huge email thread) and was great during the rehearsal and day-of. The staff working the event (especially Michael the bartender, who asked us our drink order before the ceremony and had those drinks delivered to us immediately after the ceremony) was great and I am still having guests message me about how beautiful the event space is and the professionalism of the staff. Things to note: there is a minimum spend depending on if your wedding is Friday or Saturday (no Sunday weddings). when you book, you get the whole second floor so can use some of the side rooms to have prep things. The ACC has a really good flow for the reception--> cocktail hour --> reception and people don't have to see the chairs getting moved, etc. They have a basement bowling alley that you can use for the after party (we did and it was perfect). The ACC doesn't provide cake, florals, DJ but has recommendations for options. The venue is beautiful and feels like you're getting a really good value for the price, AND you don't have to coordinate with linens/catering, etc. My sister stayed at the ACC for the weekend, and the room she stayed in is definitely big enough for a small bridal party (~6 + hair and makeup people) to get ready in. We did not get member privileges for the weekend, which was a small bummer initially but was actually fine. You're also caddy corner from the capitol building and can take some really great photos there (weather permitting) This was the perfect venue for us. I'm lying in wait for local friends to get engaged so I can convince them to get married here so we can come back for another wedding!

The Athletic Club did a fantastic job with our wedding day! We received so many compliments from guests from the astatic of the club to the attentiveness of the staff and bartenders. Everything went smoothly the day of the wedding and made for a stress free day

Absolutely the best venue! The space itself is gorgeous but everything from start to finish was perfect. Kelsey was fantastic, always communicated and was helping me navigate through the day of our wedding. All our guests are still talking about the amazing food and incredible service. They made it the perfect day!

My husband and I had the best experience with the Athletic Club for our wedding. Kelsey, the wedding coordinator, was so sweet, responsive, accommodating, and the easiest person to work with! The ACC on wedding day is a dream. The space itself is beautiful, it gushes with elegance and class. We had the best day of our lives and that is due to the amazing venue and phenomenal workers at the ACC. Kelsey was there with us every step of the way and made sure that our day went perfectly, not once was I asked about something or worried about something for the reception. She was so communicative, responsive, and makes you feel like the most important bride. Andy and the bartenders who work the reception go above and beyond. We seriously were so impressed with the alcohol, service, and accommodations that we would recommend those guys every day. Brittney was there throughout the day and made sure everything went smoothly starting early in the morning, there was a coffee station set up for the girls in the suite and the guys had the squash courts booked with coffee service up there. She checked in and set up lunch and cleared everything - she was so thoughtful and sincere and it was wonderful having her smiling face there in the morning and afternoon. Overall, the ACC is the most incredible venue - the staff, the ballroom, the mantle, the staircase, the after party in the basement - it all makes for the most memorable and perfect day of your life. I will recommend the ACC over and over again because it really is a very special place. You will not regret booking your wedding or event here! Get ready for the best day ever!

We are members of the Athletic Club so it was a no brainer to have our wedding reception at one of the most beautiful ballrooms in the city. The entire event went flawlessly and we were in awe of how amazing the uplighting and layout for the wedding was. The staff was perfect and professional and made sure all our dreams came true for our big day. We had a late night Mac and Cheese bar that all our guests were raving about. You will not be disappointed and will have an amazing celebration if you book the ACC!

The most beautiful venue in Columbus with the best event coordinator! The venue's beauty speaks for itself and will leave your guests in awe! The staff is AMAZING starting with Kelsey the event coordinator who will answer all your questions and make sure your event runs smoothly! (We live out of state, we did not have a planner and had 140 guests)! The bartender Mike was also a great time! The food was higher quality than your average wedding! The venue also has a great after party room downstairs which is sure to please all your guest! The venue also has room available onsite which we used during our stay.

The Athletic Club and Kelsey did an AMAZING job with the wedding of my son and daughter in law! It was a beautiful venue and Kelsey did a fantastic job of coordinating everything she was great at communicating with us and making sure everything was perfect! I highly recommend The Athletic Club !

We had an amazing time hosting our wedding at the ACC! Kelsey was very helpful and responsive to emails. The staff day of was great too, everyone commented on how great the food was and attentive the staff was. Would hands down hold another event here one day!

We booked The Athletic Club for our wedding back in 2019. We then changed dates twice due to COVID, and they were very accommodating. I have heard horror stories from other brides about venues not letting them switch or not getting deposits back, etc. and it was honestly relatively easy to switch dates at the ACC. On the wedding day, I got so many compliments from guests with how great the service was. Also, if you haven't been there, when you visit, you will see that it is a beautiful space to work with -- no matter what your vision is for your wedding day. Finally, we did our after party downstairs in the booth, and that was a really fun option -- it was kind of what sealed the deal for us with the ACC in the first place. Our guests enjoyed the time in The Booth and stayed late bowling and eating pizza -- it was a great way to keep the party going!

This venue is so romantic, the food is delicious, the staff are incredibly accommodating and Kelsey did an amazing job at executing all my requests. She was so kind and eager to help me make my wedding day dreams come to life. We loved how smoothly things went and cannot recommend The Athletic Club enough.

We cannot thank the ACC enough. Lisa the coordinator is excellent and always just a phone call/email away. She walked us through this crazy time in our lives with the added challenge of the Pandemic. We could not thank her enough. The staff was excellent and the venue is gorgeous. They set everything up for us, so all we had to do was tell them what we wanted. They made sure everything ran smoothly and was sure to ask us throughout the night what we needed. We would get married here again and again if we could! The venue is gorgeous and we got SO MANY compliments on it. Thank you ACC for making our day so special!

As local photographers, Seth and I love every opportunity to photograph at The Athletic Club of Columbus. This iconic Columbus venue is so special and provides a romantic, classy and regal experience. Every person at the ACC wants a couples day to be special.

A long overdue (but extraordinarily deserved) review from our wedding this past September... Our experience with The Athletic Club of Columbus was simply phenomenal! I'd read countless reviews from other brides recounting their wedding days and in truth, no words can do it justice. The building itself is stunning. The building's architecture is beautiful, timeless, and well-kept. The biggest bonus was having the hotel rooms available for our family. Lisa was wonderful to work with during the planning. She is incredibly organized and ensures that no detail is left unaccounted. Whenever I had a question, she always had an answer for me within a day. We had a specific vision for our day and she made sure that it was everything that we wanted. The day before our wedding we met with Thom, our day-of coordinator, and he was an incredible force. In the twenty minutes that I had with him, he took the time to introduce me to himself and to other members of his team and took note of my last minute to-dos and sought to help me anyway that he could. This made me feel so comfortable that everything would go off without a hitch. The day of our wedding, he made sure that my husband and I had the chance to eat and that we always had a drink in our hand. Every wedding needs a Thom! Thom and Lisa made such an awesome team on the day of our wedding. They were sure to keep us on schedule the day of our wedding and helped to iron out every last minute detail. Along with Thom and Lisa, the entire staff was a pleasure to work with. Each person I met was professional and took pride in what they did. The ACC is truly the best in the business.

The Athletic Club of Columbus is stunningly beautiful and the staff is absolutely amazing and a dream to work with. From day one when Lisa gave us a tour of the venue, to the year and a half leading up to the wedding where the entire staff helped us and made us feel special every time we visited, to the actual wedding day, everyone went above and beyond to make our wedding vision a reality. This was not a small task as we had very big ideas and high expectations. The attention to detail and first-class service were beyond anything we could have hoped for. The entire team was absolutely incredible. All of our expectations were far exceeded and we confidently give this venue our highest recommendation.

The BEST of the best venues in Columbus! Not only is their space drop dead gorgeous, but the staff is amazing to work with! As a wedding photographer, I have worked at countless venues, but ACC is one of my favorites and is always a pleasure to work with. They are accommodating, will ensure everything will run smoothly, and the space is BEAUTIFUL! Their ballroom is so classic and timeless and an amazing space. If you are considering them for your wedding, DO IT! You will not regret it, all of my ACC brides love them!

This was the PERFECT venue! Lisa and Sarah were incredibly easy to work with. Thom and the event staff were AMAZING! Thom made sure every single detail was taken care of the day before our wedding and both he and Sarah made sure that the day was absolutely perfect (they even traveled all around Columbus to make sure our open bar was fully stocked with Whiteclaw :) ). My husband and I wouldn't have changed a single detail from our wedding day and this was because of the wonderful ACC staff! I give the highest of recommendations for future couples looking for a gorgeous, unique wedding venue where you can get ready - have your ceremony and reception - and after party!

Look no further. Book your wedding at The Athletic Club of Columbus! We looked at a few downtown venues, but were initially blown away by the sheer charm and beauty of the Athletic Club. When we met with Lisa, the events coordinator, we knew that this was the venue we wanted for our wedding reception. Lisa was one of the most responsive vendors we have worked with. She answered question after question with such patience and grace and helped make our reception perfect, down to every last detail. She explained everything - sometimes multiple times, to ensure that we understood everything. It was easy- they provide everything- catering, linens, table numbers, etc. We brought a few other decorations to personalize a little, but the venue is so naturally gorgeous and really needs no decorating. Another side note- some venues make you pay a few thousand dollars to rent nicer chairs, or a few hundred to cut a cake- you won’t find silly fees like this at the ACC. The week of the wedding, we had major stressful issues with some of our other vendors. Not with the ACC. We did not encounter one issue the entire year we planned our wedding. Not one! They remained professional and a joy to work with the entire time. Every detail was laid out and well communicated. The day of the wedding- everything was executed perfectly. We met Thom, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was taken care of and that we did not have to worry about anything. He had cake sent to our room so that we had a chance to eat some at the end of the night! Don’t forget to check out the after party space in the basement of the ACC. Once the reception was over, we all went downstairs to continue the celebration with bowling and billiards. Our guests are still raving about it! The ACC was the best choice we could have made when planning our wedding!

Every Bride Dreams of her Wedding Day! My daughter dreamed of her Cinderella moment with her white horse drawn carriage and Prince Charming. The task was to find that perfect venue, that team of people that could make my daughters vision and dream come true and we found it all right here at THE ACC! Our banquet coordinator Thom was my Prince that made all my daughters dreams and expectations come true! The service,support, kindness, accommodations were all stellar! We didn’t ever want to leave and when the bride woke up the next day she said.....I want to do this again Mom it was so Magical here, The ACC made all our dreams come true here as this is the best wedding place on earth! Thank you to Thom for relieving every nerve in my body as mother of the bride in making sure 125 guests left feeling full of joy and talking about their experience for years to come! I can’t say enough about the wedding staff at the athletic club. The club is truly a well oiled machine. Great food, beautiful venue and very helpful and professional staff. Special thanks to Lisa, our wedding coordinator who was on top of the event and Tom in charge of everything else!

The Athletic Club made our night perfect. Lisa was so extremely helpful in planning and making sure our night ran smoothly. Thom was extremely attentive during the planning process and wanted to make sure everything on the food and beverage menu was delicious and well-chosen. We can't say enough AMAZING things about working with The Athletic Club of Columbus! Lisa was incredibly responsive and helpful with any and all questions we had during our planning process, and was more than happy to work with us and any of our other vendors to make our vision come to life! It was so easy to have all tables, chairs, linens, candles, set up, tear down, food, beverage, and service through ONE vendor. They literally do it all! The day of our wedding everything was set up earlier than anticipated and the staff was incredible. I had so many compliments from our guests about how kind and attentive every person was at the venue. The next morning, they had torn down the decor we brought and cleaned, boxed, stacked, and carted everything for easy removal. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a stress-free, gorgeous event!

My now husband and I were married at the ACC in early April 2019. We read rave reviews about the venue online, saw beautiful pictures and added it to our list when we flew to Columbus during our initial search. As soon as we walked into the renovated lobby, we knew it was the location we wanted for our wedding reception. A massive vase of flowers greets you at the historic front entrance, stunning leather furniture decorates the entryway and the deep and polished wood sets the tone for the perfect winter/spring wedding. Honestly... we were blown away by our first impression of the Club. And then we met Lisa. It's safe to say it was love at first handshake. Her kindness, smarts and supportive spirit was so attractive - as we were a couple that was planning from afar. You could tell that she was equal parts fun and professional. Being that we are based in NYC (Columbus is my hometown), we were looking for a team of communicators to stay in touch and help us every step of the way. The ACC was everything we had hoped for and then some. We had the pleasure of meeting Thom the week leading up to our wedding, and were so impressed. He shook our hands, introduced us to the entire team who was setting up for/serving at our wedding, and got to know our parents and immediate family members who were staying onsite. Lisa, Thom and the ACC team went above and beyond to cater to our parents and their preferences, and made sure that we had the dream experience from soup to nuts. Our wedding day was magical, y'all. The venue looked stunning -- the tables were in perfect order, our linens and chairs were set the night before (so we could have a sneak peek with our brothers and sisters), and the chandeliers sparkled to perfection. The staff was professional, helpful and courteous. Every single individual we encountered made us feel like royalty on our big day. The food was exceptional and the wine was equally yummy. Every individual that we spoke with raved about the salmon and short rib. Looking back, not one person had a negative thing to say about the apps, food or drinks. We opted for an "elevated" open bar as we both have big Irish Catholic families - and it did not disappoint. The ACC even worked with us to ensure our favorite beer from ATL (where we met) was served. In fact, I visited the bar during the wedding and the bartender handed me the very last craft beer from ATL. Before I knew it, someone came up to me and said the staff ran out and restocked the craft beer mid-wedding. I mean... BEST SERVICE EVER. They truly wanted us to be happy and have everything we could have needed or wanted that evening. That we did. I'd also like to shout-out the ACC's preferred vendor list which Lisa shared with us. The ACC developed a custom list of vendors they enjoy working with and it's how we found many of our favorites, specifically our planner Michelle (STR Events). They don't just identify the most expensive in the city - but rather those who are "best in class" and deliver exceptional service much like the ACC. It's true that the ACC is NOT the cheapest option in Columbus. But, they are the VERY BEST use of your dollars if you're looking for peace of mind, a stunning venue, and a day that your guests will rave about for years to come. They aren't a vendor, they are your team. We very much felt that at the end of the day, the ACC was like family. In my opinion, you can't put a price on that! Thank you ACC. We are eternally grateful.

The venue was the most important decision for us - we started visiting potential places the moment we got engaged. I scoured the internet to the point where I felt like I was an expert on all the possible venues around Columbus. Having read tons of reviews for tons of places, now that it's my turn to write one I feel like I can't possibly say enough to express how wonderful the Athletic Club was as a venue. You can visit for yourself and see how gorgeous the location is, you can try the food ahead of time to know how delicious it is, you can even get all the details like parking in the lot is included for your guests. What you won't know until the day of is how incredible the staff is! We worked with Lisa leading up to the big day and she was always quick to communicate and guide us on any questions. She was there the day of to help make sure everything clipped along too. The entire staff the night of the wedding was fantastic! At one point before the ceremony, I noticed price tags left on the felt backs of our frames for the table numbers. My mom started trying to use a hair dryer to melt them off, and the staff ended up taking over for her and doing it themselves. It was such an above and beyond gesture! The entire staff did a great job of putting our decor together as well. The bartender, I hear, was a big hit too! The food was out quickly and efficiently. At our sweetheart's table, they had our signature drinks ready for each of us at our spots. When it was almost time for toasts, champagne magically appeared at our table. At the end of the night, we returned to our room (we stayed on site) to find pizza (my favorite food!) waiting for us, our leftover cake, a packed leftover entree, and champagne! Now, we managed to eat all of our delicious food during the reception, but I was still hungry afterwards and so grateful for the pizza! A lot of this is owed to Thom who coordinated the service that night. He was everywhere that night and seeing to it that everything went smoothly. At the end of the night, they packed everything up for us and left it in our parlor room for us to pick up the next day (I hear some places make you take everything home the night of!!). Your vendors will make your event! Once the day starts, it's basically all on them! Our day was a fairy tale wedding largely thanks to the excellent service at the Athletic Club. Again, I really can not say enough good things about our experience here. If you want an elegant, romantic venue, this is your place!

The ACC was the perfect venue for our daughter's wedding ceremony and reception. The venue is beautiful and elegant, requiring minimal decoration. The staff, from the event planner to the banquet manager, servers, front desk people and valets are top-notch professionals who made the whole process easy and extraordinarily enjoyable. They all went above and beyond our expectations to take care of us and our guests. We even had a fun after-party in the bowling alley to top off a magical evening. We highly recommend booking a room or suite at the ACC for your event.

I can not say enough about The Athletic Club of Columbus and Lisa Sullivan!! My daughter and son in law were married at The Athletic Club of Columbus on New Years Eve 2018 and from our very first meeting with Lisa Sullivan and her staff at ACC, everything was amazing. The ACC is the perfect venue if you want an elegant timeless event with a staff that is very attentive! On the morning of the wedding, we found out close family friends would not be able to attend the wedding due to a family emergency. The staff at ACC very graciously was able to remove the table and rearrange the seating for the other guests at the table .At the last minute, the dear friends informed us that they would be able to attend the wedding after all and the staff at ACC- without hesitation set up another table for these very special family friends!! All throughout the evening, the staff was checking to see if there was anything we needed. The ACC made my daughter and son in laws wedding a dream come true! I highly recommend the ACC for a wedding.

The Athletic Club of Columbus is one of the loveliest places to have a wedding. Absolutely elegant. Lisa, the events director, was always positive and a delight to work with. She made planning for the wedding easy and fun. She was always willing to go the extra mile for us, too. Thom, who was in charge of the staff the night of the wedding, made sure we were taken care of - always. Everything went so smoothly. The food choices that Lisa suggested were excellent. We all felt so relaxed the whole time. It was just a wonderful evening and enjoyed by everyone.

My daughter was recently married and had her reception at the ACC. EVERYTHING was perfect. From the first phone call expressing interest in the venue to the final cheers at the reception. I would highly recommend this lovely place. We worked with Lisa and she was a delight. Things went so smoothly, I actually had a fear that I had forgotten something but no! Everything was just that smooth. We even had my elderly mother and mother in law, stay in one of the hotel rooms upstairs. And they were well taken care of. The most complimented thing from the reception, was the food! It was excellent. Not an easy feat for 150 guests. We needed some vegan meals, and that was no problem. I highly recommend the ACC for your ceremony and reception.

When I first got engaged, my dad googled "where would Audrey Hepburn get married in Columbus?" and The Athletic Club came up as the first option. That blog post couldn't have been more right! We immediately booked a visit and fell in love as soon as we walked into the lobby! It is absolutely breathtaking and the PERFECT venue for a romantic fairytale wedding for both the ceremony, reception, and not to mention the after party in the bowling alley! Every detail of our wedding was planned around the natural beauty of The ACC- from my dress and the bridal party attire to the flowers and the band. It all came together absolutely perfectly to make our fairytale come to life! The staff at the ACC is the absolute best you could ever ask for. They worked with us for over 18 months, answering questions and giving suggestions on how to make our dreams come to life. Since we were planning our wedding from across the country, we did our tasting and finished all day-of details a year in advance, and the staff was essential in making sure those details came to life on our day of. They were patient with my type-A tendencies and my random "go and see" visits whenever I was visiting Columbus just to "make sure everything was okay." They went above and beyond to make the entire wedding weekend relaxed and flawless- from the time we checked into our rooms on Thursday night with complimentary drinks from Thom to our getting ready mimosas and snack bar to the time we checked out on Sunday morning with all of our decorations and details organized and ready for pick up and everything between. The food was incredible. The drinks and bartenders were outstanding. The service and coordination kept everything on track. The space is outstanding. And we are still getting compliments from guests about how the entire wedding was as if it were straight from a magazine or movie! I could not have asked for a more perfect venue or staff for our most perfect day! There is no better place in Columbus for your fairytale wedding!

Just walking into the Athletic Club of Columbus you get the sense of what a top notch venue it is. Lisa Sullivan, the Event Manager, was amazing, as were the staff that assisted us. Lisa had so many good ideas and suggestions. She is kind, personable and made us feel at ease. Her attention to detail and deadlines kept us on track. The food was great and perfectly cooked, which is not expected at most weddings, and the bartenders, waiters and staff kept up with demand, we had 157 guests. The butler passed appetizers and wine at cocktail hour was a nice touch. Thom, the banquet manager made sure that I, as mother of the bride, did not want for anything the day of, and that everything ran smoothly. The dining room was so beautiful. The venue is just gorgeous, so it really saved on floral costs. You don't need a lot of decorations. It oozes charm and sophistication. The place speaks for itself. Our daughter and her friends stayed in the six suites they have and that's where we all had our hair and make up done. My daughter and son-in-law (did I just say son-in-law) chose The Athletic Club of Columbus after looking at 7 venues. What sold them, and me, was the the elegance and beauty of the club, AND the amazing bowling alley downstairs that we used for the after party. What a hit that was for our guests. Darrell, the bowling alley manager, was very attentive, personable and very helpful. They even provided a security guard to walk folks to their cars or hotels. Very thoughtful. Plus, you can get a block of hotel rooms within walking distance. I can't recommend The Athletic Club of Columbus more highly. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

AMAZING! We had our wedding here last weekend and everything was great!! We visited pretty much every venue in town that could hold over 200 people and this one stood out as the best by far! I was nervous about weather playing a factor in my day, and this venue was perfect! It was 90 degrees outside, so we had mostly lovely indoor pictures and then took some pretty outdoor pictures a few blocks away for only 10 mins. It worked out really well! The food was amazing (yes, I ate it all... I'm not one of those brides who eats nothing, haha) and so was the after party in the bowling alley. Only complaint is the coordinator changed half way through our wedding planning. As a result, everything we discussed with Emily needed to be re-discussed with Lisa. Don't get me wrong, Lisa was great, but we forgot to reiterate the importance of having IPAs at the wedding, and as a result, there were none. The dining manager went out of his way to find something for my husband to drink, but none of his groomsmen were able to have any. Despite this, everyone had a great time and everything was coordinated very well!

We can't say enough great things about the Athletic Club after our wedding. The day went perfectly and the venue was beautiful! The quality of the food and the service was excellent. Lisa was so easy to work with and incredibly organized and professional. It was also extremely convenient that there were hotel suites upstairs that we could great ready in the day of the wedding. Beautiful venue for a wedding, would highly recommend!

Our venue was amazing and beautiful. The space is so unique and magical. The staff was very helpful and made sure the wedding was everything we wanted rather than how they always do weddings. Couldn't be happier with our wedding! It's a one of a kind venue as it was large enough to hold the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception for our 165 guests. We visited over a dozen of wedding venues in Columbus and The ACC was one that stood out above all the rest. It was honestly the best wedding decisions we made. Emily is absolutely amazing and made sure we were able to have the wedding of our dreams. She made awesome suggestions and coordinate the event perfectly. The ACC staff is amazing and went above and beyond the call of duty. We received so many compliments regarding the staff and their excellent customer service. One staff member named Thom made what we feel like his personal mission along with the rest of staff for us to be treated like royalty! My husband and I had our reception at The Athletic Club this past May. From our first tour to the wedding day, Emily (the coordinator) was extraordinarily friendly and helpful. Our evening went off without a hitch, and the venue was absolutely beautiful. We had an after-party downstairs in the bowling alley, which was very fun and a big hit with our guests. I would definitely recommend this venue!

We are members of the ACC and had our wedding there in April 2017. We couldn't have been happier with the venue or the service. My guests raved that the food was the best they ever had at a wedding. Emily, the on-site coordinator, was just a blessing. From helping coordinate all the vendor arrivals to fixing my bustle before the reception she was a great asset. The staff was very accommodating to our needs as a couple and went above and beyond to make sure our day was special. It's a great perk to have a bowling alley and game space in the basement also available for rent. We had an afterparty for our guests here and everyone had a great time. My wife and I held our wedding ceremony and reception at the ACC in February, 2017. Words can’t begin to describe the wonderful experience we had there. My wife and I fell in love with everything about the venue from the very first time we walked through the door. The historic architecture, swanky décor, and classic energy come together beautifully to give the ACC its charm. Emily, the wedding coordinator, was amazing. From day one, she was so helpful in the planning process - helping us find many of our vendors and being willing to help in any way possible to bring our wedding vision to life. On the day of the wedding we couldn’t have been more impressed with Emily and the rest of the staff. They took care of everything. We knew Emily was great, but she really shined on our wedding day. She directed traffic perfectly, taking care of all the details so that my wife and I could focus on what is most important – each other. All our guests were so complimentary of everything. We heard from multiple people, that our venue was the most beautiful they had ever been to. Not to mention, the food was out of this word! Our wedding day was something out of a dream, and we credit so much of that to the ACC. We feel so lucky to have found this place, and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone planning to have their wedding in Columbus!

Choosing the ACC as our wedding venue was the best decision my husband and I could have ever made. Everyone there was FABULOUS our whole process through. Emily was a god send and made everything so easy and stress free. The place was beautiful from the gorgeous fireplace, to the intricate ceilings and wood walls, and we could have not found a better place to get married. Would recommend it 100 times over.

I was getting married in Columbus while living in Chicago and wanted to have a low key planning process. I stumbled on the ACC from The Knot and with one initial email exchange and phone conversation with Emily Knapp, we knew it was the place for us. It's very elegant and timeless, a classic type of space. Our wedding was phenomenal--the food was fantastic, the staff kind and helpful and the rooms including the wedding suite for me, my parents and bridal party were beautifully comfortable. It was a magical wedding weekend.

Wow, we were so impressed with our overall wedding experience here. We had both our ceremony and reception at the ACC, and everything was exceptional. Emily was amazing with coordinating everything and making sure we thought of all the details (my husband and I are both awful at planning, so having her as a coordinator was soo incredibly helpful). She made sure everything was accounted for and went smoothly on the big day. The ceremony and reception room were gorgeous - you don't really need to do a lot of decorating, the rooms speak for themselves. All of our friends and family raved about the food and experience. We even rented out the bowling alley in the basement for the after party, which was a HUGE hit. I highly recommend having your event at the ACC! The staff and venue are top notch!

The Athletic Club of Columbus made our wedding day absolutely perfect! The event planner, Emily is a pleasure to work with. I cannot say enough nice things about her. She met with us on several occasions to help plan and create a vision for the day. She also gave us great recommendations for other vendors. The day of the wedding, the bridesmaids and I got ready in the bridal suite, which had plenty of lighting and space. We had our ceremony, reception and after party at this venue, and it was very convenient for all our out-of town guests. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. Not only is The Athletic Club one of the most beautiful places to get married, Emily, the wedding coordinator at the ACC is absolutely amazing. She really does everything in her power to make sure every bride's special day is as stress-free as possible. She is very easy to work with, responds to emails in a timely manner, and never made me feel like I was bothering her even after email number 50. This review is well over due! My husband Zach and I held our wedding at this gorgeous facility on July 30, 2016. I honestly do not know where to begin to start raving about this place. First thing is first -- to the eye, it is stunning. It posses rich, historic architecture that is just jaw dropping and makes for fantastic photos. Secondly, the lady who made it all happen... EMILY! She was an absolute dream to work with. She had an answer to every question. Communicating back and forth was effortless. She provided many suggestions that were so helpful and made the stress of planning a wedding almost disappear. A genuinely sweet girl - inside and out! The entire staff the day of were over the top when it came to accommodations and taking care of anything and everything that we needed. The Athletic Club will always hold a special place in our hearts! ❤️

My family has been members at the ACC for years. The venue is absolutely beautiful - an instant classic! Very little really needs to be done to the space, which makes it even more effortless to host a wedding or event here. We worked with Emily, their wedding coordinator, and she was great! She walked us through every step and detail. She was extremely attentive and answered any and all questions. She was also very detailed orientated, which was very important to us. All of our guests raved about the space as well as the high quality of the food. Everything was truly delicious! We had our ceremony, reception and after-party at the ACC and everything went flawlessly. There were ZERO surprises the day of the wedding. Emily was so helpful, friendly, and flexible throughout the entire planning process! My family is from New York and have really high expectations when it comes to weddings. Since they were traveling so far I wanted a full-service venue that would really wow my guests and make things easy for them. The ACC's classic romantic decor, high-quality service, and excellent food options had my entire family raving. We had a smaller wedding with about 85 people so we were able to use the crystal room for our ceremony and the lounge for our reception. There was also plenty of room for mashed potato bar, photo booth, Lego bar, and stationed appetizers. The ACC also arranged to have our favorite hard cider and a specialty cocktail. We ended the night with an after-party in the Booth, the ACC's private bowling alley and club. I would also recommend reserving the guest rooms on-site at the ACC. It was so convenient to be able to get ready on-site and run up to our room anytime we needed something. Everything was perfect!

Working with the Athletic Club was an absolute dream. Not only is the venue gorgeous but the staff went above and beyond to make sure that our experience was nothing short of perfect. We greatly enjoyed the planning process with them. They walked us step-by-step through the entire event and went over in detail everything that we wanted and a few things we didn't know we needed. Our coordinator, Emily, checked in with all our other vendors as well to make sure that everything ran smoothly the day of our wedding. The staff service was so excellent that several of our guests commented on it. One such example was a staffer who overheard someone mention they might like hot chocolate - this server went and had hot chocolate specially made for my guest and brought it to them during the reception. This was done without any question and at no extra charge of me. They were truly the best to work with and I would highly recommend The Athletic Club to anyone considering getting married or hosting any other type of event in downtown Columbus.

The Athletic Club of Columbus is everything you can imagine for a wedding venue and more. The building is stunningly elegant down the the smallest of details, and the club's new billiards and bowling room was the perfect way to top off our wedding night with our closest friends and family. The food was delicious, the staff beyond welcoming, and our on-site coordinator, Emily Knapp, made everything come alive for our wedding day. It was truly nothing short of perfect! We already have guests requesting anniversary parties at the ACC in the future!

I fell in love with the Columbus Athletic Club the moment we stepped through the revolving door! It’s old-world elegance and sophistication takes one back to a time of black ties and long tails, flowing dresses and white gloves. Dark green marble floors and deep red Persian rugs greet you upon entrance, while the oak and marble curved stairway lead you to the ballroom and dining rooms on the second floor. The ceiling in the ballroom is an intricate design of carved wood ornately painted in contrasting colors, while the floor is a beautifully designed wood parquet - perfect for dancing! The windows are two stories tall and dressed with brocade-like ivory drapes, while crystal chandeliers hang throughout like stars. It was the perfect setting for our daughter’s wedding! The event was overseen by Emily Knapp, the ACC’s hidden treasure. From day one, Emily guided us through all the details and helped us in ways too numerous to count. She was cheerful and energetic, infusing life into a club that could have been considered “stuffy” were it not for her attentions to detail. The food was melt-in-your mouth wonderful as well. We had the duet of salmon/filet along with mashed potatoes and fresh baby broccoli, as well as numerous hot/cold hors d’oeuvres during the cocktail reception and late night snack. Many guests came to us afterward and said it was the best food they’d ever been served at a wedding! The wait staff was attentive and kept things flowing smoothly. The entire night was magical! I would definitely recommend the Columbus Athletic Club to any bride looking for that perfect place for her wedding reception.

From Bride: My husband and I chose the ACC for our venue just about the instant we walked upstairs and saw the beautiful carved wood ceilings in the ballroom. If you are looking for traditional, old world beauty, this place cannot be beat. The staff was also wonderful, and the ACC truly has a gem in Emily Knapp as an event planner. Her cheerful demeanor made every meeting a joy. She is also extremely knowledgeable and competent, asking me questions and prompting me on things I had completely forgotten to consider in the haze of wedding planning. She kept us on track during the planning process and the day of the wedding. I also have received numerous compliments that the food was the best wedding food our guests have ever tasted. We chose the steak and salmon duet, and several people commented on how well the steak tasted and melted in their mouth. We feel completely blessed to have been able to have the ACC as our venue, and the pictures show how beautiful the night was. Most importantly though, we all had FUN. I was able to really enjoy my night thanks to how smoothly everything was run at the ACC. I would highly recommend the ACC, and particularly Emily.

We held our wedding reception at the ACC on 4/18/15 and it was nothing short of amazing! We really were looking for an elegant/timeless reception venue and this is exactly what the Athletic Club provided. There has been some improvements made to the ACC recently (new carpet, new chair seat customs) that look great. Everything was ran very smoothly by Emily Knapp - who was also great to work with. The food was also fantastic (we served a duet of jumbo shrimp and beef short ribs). Highly recommend!

The ACC was a perfect place to have a beautiful and intimate winter wedding! We had ~190 guests and live band, and the venue was great. our planner, Emily, was wonderful to work with, and very willing to help us with our budget and suggest cost saving ideas for us. The food was delicious, though I would not order the filets again, they were a tad overcooked. But the salmon and chicken was delicious!
