The Bertram Inn

Such an AMAZING venue! Everything was perfect! Alex, our coordinator, was amazing! The food was amazing! The cake was stunning and delicious! The wait staff and bartenders were super friendly! Its easy to dress up this venue and make it your own. We have had so many people that attended our wedding tell us that it was the most fun they have had at a wedding and the most beautiful wedding they have seen. This venue is such a great value and is completely full service. You really don't have to worry about anything but music, décor, and what you're wearing.. I can't recommend them enough! I hope we get to attend another wedding at this venue!

We had a very large wedding reception with 300 guests at The Bertram and it was amazing!! Everyone spoke highly of how beautiful everything was, as well as good food and drinks. Our coordinator Alex and the GM Frank worked well with our wedding Planner Maria from Elegant Events by Maria to make sure everything went smooth and ran on time. An amazing evening from beginning to from end.

We were married there and had our reception in the Hayes Ballroom. Danielle was our day of coordinator, and she was incredibly helpful! The food was great (we've received many compliments) and the space was beautiful.

We are so thankful we chose the Bertram. The staff at the Bertram were so organized and made both our ceremony and reception look exactly how we imagined it and more. Alex and Victoria are phenomenal to work with and made sure to answer any of my questions and allowed me to come in and take a look as I was planned. The bartenders were lively and fun, the food was excellent and the cake was beautiful. Having a hotel wedding was really convenient because guests didn’t have to travel around and had a hotel room at the end of the night. It was a beautiful hotel and our guests were really impressed. We chose the Hayes ballroom and really loved it because it was almost as if we had the building all to our selves. They really know and have almost everything you need already- I really didn’t have to buy/do as much compared to other venues. We received so many compliments and couldn’t be more thrilled! Thank you!

We found the Bertram to be an exceptional choice for our daughter's wedding. Victoria Hudson and Danielle Jackson took all of the stress from the process with their diligent professionalism. We would choose the Bertram again and highly endorse them. Details were attended to and the food was also excellent.

First let me say that I completely regret my venue choice. Secondly, the food was outstanding, everyone raved about the food and bar! After our first tour we were given a certificate to stay at the hotel for free. AAnndd they charged us. They fixed it and promised us another free night (which we never got btw) but that was our first red flag. But due to my husband's reluctance to tour more venues and because the Bertram had a special going on, we booked the Bertram. We originally had Brenda as our coordinator, who was OK but a little dismissive because our wedding was still pretty far out. Which I get, but I shouldn't feel that way. And she quit, not giving proper notice to her brides and I found out through the grapevine! I think she emailed everyone with a few days left. Then we got Alex. Alex is very sweet and she always answered my questions promptly. I thought we understood each other and were on the same page. I could not have been more wrong. I arrived to my rehearsal in a panic because all of our rooms were wrong (and we booked it WITH the front desk and double checked it two days earlier! ) We also noticed that our napkins were wrong, the dance floor was missing a small piece, and several other small things were off. Well, none of those were taken care of. Our card box was thrown around and the top was lopsided, the entire prefunction area was a hot mess and the absolute worst part was the completely messed up our floor plan in the reception area! My husband's family was against the wall and on the opposite side of their small children. My 91 year old granddaughter was put in the back and couldn't see anything. I could go on and on with their mistakes but what you don't know is my type A, super organized personality. I literally gave Alex an itemized list of all my belongings and exactly where to put them. AND SHE STILL MESSED UP! Either they weren't put out at all or they were put in the wrong spot. And the kicker is they lost about $200-300 worth of my stuff. And the stuff they did return was THROWN in boxes with no care. They did give me two free nights within their hotel chain, but honestly that's what they should have done. Then to wrap up our wedding night, we went to the front desk to get our room keys and it wasn't previously set up! I'm walking around in my heels and wedding dress, we weren't offered help with our bags or anything. And we get to the room -and there is NO bed! So at midnight we have to get a new room. The hotel service was absolute crap and the rooms are only Ok. Finally, Alex did have another wedding that night and I was told that the other coordinator would be available. Well, she wasn't there and I wasn't told why. So there was a good half hour we were looking for a coordinator and nobody was around. My wedding day was amazing because I married the man I loved. But this venue was the worst decision we made.

The Bertram was the perfect place for our fairtytale wedding because we wanted a classy venue where we could hold all the events of the weekend, have an outdoor ceremony, and throw a killer reception. The Bertram offered all of this, plus a great staff and amazing food. To this day, even four months later, we still get texts and comments about how delicious the food was at our wedding. We absolutely loved working with Victoria, Alex, and the Bertram staff for our wedding. From the time I met Victoria the summer before, I knew I wanted her to help me plan my wedding. Everyone was so kind and genuine ad truly wanted to help make our day all we dreamed of. They made everything so easy and they were so accommodating. We had about 180 people for the ceremony and reception. We held our rehearsal and dinner there the night before and most of the bridal party spent the night on the grounds. We used their hospitality suites for getting ready- we had hair stylists and make-up artists come to us. It was so convenient to have it all in one place, and we loved having the pool for our guests. We also had everyone share a buffet breakfast on Sunday. My husband and I loved using the getaway cottage for our first night as a married couple, and we look forward to staying there again in the future for an anniversary. I would highly recommend the Bertram for your wedding. The grounds provided beautiful pictures without us having to go offsite. The patio was perfect for our outdoor ceremony, and it offered a great space for guests to converse or get fresh air during the reception. We loved using the pre-function area for our cocktail hour, and it was an elegant, Plan B option if it was rainy and we couldn’t hold the ceremony outside. We especially loved the natural light. We also liked that the bar was outside of the reception room because it gave our guests a lot of space to converse and hang out. The staff was so helpful in planning our day and they allowed us to bring a lot of personal touches and decorations to make the ceremony look and feel like our own. One of the last things that is important to mention was how the entire hotel staff made my husband and I feel like royalty the whole weekend. We were treated with such great service and everyone working knew we were the bride and groom and knew us by first name. These personal touches really show how Victoria and her team go above and beyond. Many of our guests gave us compliments on the venue, but all in all, we just keep hearing rave reviews about the food. As a bride, this makes me happy because I wanted my guests to have a delicious meal.

I absolutely loved my wedding at the Bertram Inn and Conference Center. My wedding was in the annex. The food and cake were delicious! The bartender was the best! However, we did bring in our own cookies, and some of them “got lost”. I believe they were misplaced and thrown out. Also, our late night snack was put out an hour too early. The hotel staff, however, were not very friendly or accommodating. The coordinator we had originally had found another position and I was truly sad to see her go. Other than that, everything was awesome!

Guests loved staying here. The accomodations are lovely, guests could hang out poolside or enjoy a snack/drink in our hospitality suite. It was a hit!

We chose the Bertram because we knew how much of a phenomenal job they do. My sister had her reception in the main building years ago and we had ours in the Annex. Wonderful work by Alex and her team. It was a beautiful day and the team did an amazing job preparing everything for our wedding. The food was delicious and the way they decorated the annex was just beautiful. Took care of my husband and I during dinner, we truly got to Kaitlyn enjoy the whole day. Didn’t have to lift a finger. Hotel accommodations and brunch the next morning were great! Would definitely recommend the Bertram to anyone for their event!

Brenda, Vance and the rest of the Bertram team went above and beyond to make our wedding an amazing night. Brenda was extremely responsive to questions we had during the planning process, effortlessly coordinated with our wedding vendors and even ordered our ice sculpture for us. Our guests were impressed with the unique venue and the convenience of the hotel there for our winter wedding. The food and wait/bar staff were amazing. John even offered the shoes off his feet to my MOH for our sparkler exit mid-evening!!! The team truly cares about your event and made us feel so special. I cannot say enough about how perfect our day was and how little we had to worry about before/during/after our event.

We had our wedding reception at the Bertram in August and it was absolutely perfect! We could not have asked for a more wonderful experience. Brenda was a blessing to work with. She was there for everything a bride could need. She truly dedicates herself to her brides. Without her our day would not have been everything we had dreamed of. She made the process easy and fun. Our guests raved about the delicious food and incredible service. We recommend Brenda and Bertam every chance we get!

Our daughter and son-in-laws wedding was held on October 28, 2017. We have enjoyed every minute from our first meeting to the phenomenal reception. I'd like to personally "thank" Victoria Hudson and Brenda Schiralli for their care and concern in guiding us through this process from start to finish. All of our guests raved about the ambiance, food, beverages and service provided by every staff member. If you are looking for a First Class facility to host your reception, I would highly recommend the Bertram.

My husband and I got married at the Bertram Inn earlier this year, and we can’t speak more highly about Brenda and her staff. When we started planning our wedding, we felt like a lot of the heavy lifting would be on us since we decided not to hire a wedding planner. However, Brenda quickly put our minds at rest, and helped us plan everything from start to finish. She was always very quick to respond to our questions and was extremely accommodating with our requests. The day of the wedding she worked with all of our vendors and ensured that we had nothing to worry about on our special day. We would highly recommend anyone looking for a wedding venue to strongly consider the Bertram Inn!

My wedding reception was recently held at The Bertram Hotel and Conference Center. Without a doubt, I would definitely recommend this venue to others. Brenda, the catering sales manager, did a fantastic job coordinating everything with the outside vendors. Brenda was very professional and accommodating to our needs. It was a pleasure working with Brenda. The food and service was amazing. It was truly an absolutely perfect wedding reception!!

We had our wedding at this venue and I can not say enough about how wonderful the staff is. With Brenda you will be receiving a wedding planner for free. She has many years of experience and will provide this knowledge every step of the way to plan your perfect day. The food will make you feel as if you are visiting a 5 star resort. We could not have chosen a better place to for our wedding! I wish I could relive this day over and over again because of all The Bertram Inn did for us.

Very beautiful venue. We had the ceremony and reception in the same building. They have a building to the right of the main hotel that we have all to ourselves. Brenda, the Bertram's wedding coordinator, is very helpful. She has a lot on her plate with a lot of weddings scheduled at the Bertram so check it out early! They give you center pieces if you want them and a complimentary coffee bar during the reception. Staff at the Bertram take care of all the set up and tear down as well. Very professional.

Our daughter had her wedding ceremony and reception at the Bertram this past weekend. Perfection! Brenda, our wedding coordinator took care of every detail. Welcome bags were delivered to our guests as requested, last minute safety pins for a fashion emergency and spotless chiavari chair cushions. Every detail was taken care of, so that we were able to enjoy our guests, and not feel anything needed extra attention. The entire hotel is spotless clean, which is so very important to us. Everything was set up perfectly prior to the ceremony, the bartenders were very attentive. Food was served promptly and so tasty, hot and fresh. We had so many compliments about the Bertram, and the wedding ceremony and reception. Our late night guests were able to enjoy Paws lobby bar until late where the service was excellent as well. Our guests who stayed at the hotel told us it was very clean and comfortable. The staff was sure to give the bride and groom the wedding gifts/cards after the reception and brought them to their room. We enjoyed Erynn and Wilbur Krebs on steel drum and guitar in the annex prior to the ceremony and during cocktail hour, and the acoustics were perfect. Every vendor, from Lowe's Florist, TKO DJ entertainment, Videos by Adam videographer and David Harris photographer told us how easy it was to work with the Bertram. The annex is a beautiful area, with plenty of space for a reception (we had approximately 150 guests) . And gorgeous floor to ceiling windows. Another perk is the cake is included in the wedding package, so we don't have to worry about another outside vendor. Cake was delicious by the way. As far as pricing, we compared 3 or 4 other nearby venues, and found this to be most affordable and include the most amenities. I would absolutely recommend the Bertram to any bride and groom.

Brenda was a joy to work with during the whole wedding planning experience at the Bertram. It was really great to have someone to count on so heavily during the everyday stress of planning a wedding. Every detail of our reception went off without a hitch and we couldn't have asked for a more smooth reception. The food was delicious, and we've received many compliments on the location. We're so glad we went with the Bertram for our wedding reception and would definitely choose them again!

I just had my wedding reception at the bertram inn a couple days ago, and I would highly, highly recommend it to other brides looking for a classy, beautiful venue. Brenda, the on-site coordinator, is amazing. She has been doing this job for 20 plus years, and her knowledge clearly shows. Everything was flawless. They work with you and try to do whatever they can to make the day special go go smoothly. They are so accommodating and attentive. Food was incredible. The guests all raved about it!

We had our wedding reception at the Bertram March 2017. Stacey is amazing to work with and extremely responsive. Our reception was perfect there! The venue is gorgeous and I loved all the different rooms we were able to use. Everything went off without an issue, and the food was all the rave! People are still talking about the dinner! Highly recommend!

We had our wedding last night at the Bertram and a post wedding brunch there today. Everything was incredible and Brenda made everything SO easy. She was very proactive in planning and her communication was consistent. There was never a question that went unanswered. Furthermore the food was AMAZING. There was not a single guest that didn't comment on what a great time they were having and how good the food was. Every vendor that was recommended to us by Brenda worked out incredibly. I can't imagine the day going any better. Thank you for such an unforgettable weekend!

Overall in the end we did have a very beautiful wedding but we did have some bumps along the way. We fell in love with the Bertram and with our wedding coordinator Val but halfway through the wedding planning process Val left the Bertram and we were left scrambling. A new wedding coordinator was assigned to us but it took some stress and long discussions for both parties to get back up to speed. Definitely not what we had expected or hopes for during this process. In the end everything turned out beautifully and on the day of our wedding coordinator was wonderful and worked very well with our other vendors.

My husband and I were married August 29, 2015 and had our reception at The Bertram Inn and Conference Center; and it was nothing short of phenomenal! Our wedding coordinator, Melissa, was absolutely amazing! She helped us immensely while we were planning our wedding day. Our needs were always met and ideas made into reality. She was on top of everything the day of and kept everything running smoothly! The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous! We had a large open space for the cocktail hour separate from the ballroom. The ballroom was spacious and beautiful; high ceilings and large windows. The food was delicious; many of our guests commented on how great the food was! One of the best features of The Bertram is that is has accommodations at the venue. It doubles as a hotel which was extremely convenient for our guests! Overall, we absolutely loved The Bertram! It was the perfect wedding venue for us and we would recommend it to anyone!

My daughter's wedding was August 1st and my husband and I could not have been happier with the reception. Lauren was our consultant and she was great; helping with all of my many many questions to calming down all of those pre wedding day jitters. We held the reception in the Annex ballroom and were thrilled with having "our own space." The ball room was beautiful, the staff professional and the food and cake were great! We received a ton of raves from our family and friends. We loved having the wedding in a hotel so all of our out of town guests could just walk to their rooms. It was one of the best nights ever!!

The Bertram Inn was definitely the right choice for our wedding! The venue was beautiful, and we loved having everything in one spot. We had the rehearsal dinner in the Paws restaurant the night before, and having the ceremony and reception there meant that nobody got lost! We had some issues with the wedding coordinators (we had 3 of them!), and their communication was not the greatest leading up to the wedding. However, the day of, everything went exactly as we wanted it, and it turned out great! We got so many compliments on the food (absolutely delicious), venue (beautiful), the cake (turned out exactly how we wanted it, and very yummy), and the service (amazing!). Everyone told us that it was the best wedding that they've been to, and I have to thank Valerie for helping me put it together! I would highly recommend the Bertram Inn to any one who is planning a wedding!

We couldn't have been more happy with our choice to have our reception at The Bertram Inn!! Our Event Coordinator, John, was absolutely amazing and bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect for us. I can honestly say that NOTHING went wrong, everything went according to plan and was executed with so much professionalism. Having the reception and the guest's rooms for the night all in one place was ideal and much easier than trying to arrange a shuttle. Also, all the catering (including the cake) is included with the package (if you choose to go this route)which makes everything easier- the less people/companies you have to work with/coordinate the better! The servers were great, the bar tenders were on point and everything looked stunning. After the months of planning, to finally see your "vision" come to life by the staff at the Bertram is such a wonderful feeling. I will highly reccomend!!

-Amazing, I honestly don't use that word very often but it is the first word that I can think of when I reflect upon my experience at The Bertram. John Roach, who is the head event coordinator, was very personable. He was able to guide us through planning the wedding and always made himself available for any questions we had. The staff during the night of the wedding were very energetic and tentative, and the food and service were amazing. The stress of a wedding can be a bit much, but the day of the wedding everything ran seamlessly and our guests couldn't stop raving about the whole event. I strongly recommend The Bertram Inn as a place to hold a wedding or any event. Their professionalism and dedication to great service will make any event you want to run a success.

We had our ceremony and reception at the bertram and it was amazing! Jon had everything we could have ever asked for. The day of the wedding was flawless. There was no stress at all. Jon was always there if we needed water or drinks during photos and before the ceremony. The food was out if this world! I could cut my fillet with my fork! The salmon was wonderful! I couldn't have asked for a better cake! Everyone raved about how flawless everything was and how great that everything was in one location! This is the go to spot!!!!!

Our reception was held at the Bertram Inn's main room, the McKinley Ballroom, and was done fantastically. An event was held prior to our reception, ending at 3pm, and the team at the Bertram was able to change the room completely over by 5pm when our guests arrived for cocktail hour. Hors d'ouvres and cocktails were served, as well as a cheese table. Guests were promptly seated at 6pm, where our tables were set up perfectly with our centerpieces, guest favors, and table numbers as requested. Dinner service was a formal buffet of beef tenderloin, vegetable ravioli, and roasted sea bass, sides of almond green beans and parmesan crusted red potatoes. Guests made sure to tell us how flavorful and fantastic the food was all night. Waitstaff was attentive, and very friendly, garnering even more praise. Overall, The Bertram met all of our requirements and exceeded our expectations with little difficulty, going so far as to offer to contact our vendors for us to finalize details. We will fully recommend them for a fantastic and memorable wedding day!

I have to admit, I was a little apprehensive about having my reception at The Bertram because it's a bit pricey, but in the end I was so happy with my choice! The fact that the Bertram is both a hotel and an event space is unbeatable- I didn't have to worry about guests getting home after the reception, especially considering we had our wedding in January with very snowy roads! Our wedding coordinator, Stephanie, was fantastic as well! She was always either available by email or in person and responded to me right away. On they day of the wedding, Stephanie and the Bertram crew took care of every little detail- I didn't have to worry about a thing! This will be the second wedding my family has hosted at The Bertram, and our experience both times has been excellent!

Great to work with only a few minor problems

The quality of service was stellar. The attention to detail was impressive. A special thanks to Stephanie, our wedding coordinator. She was thorough, responsive and very knowledgeable. I really appreciated the time she took to help us make our reception a beautiful and wonderful event.

Our wedding was everything I wanted it to be! Our reception hall was the one that is separate with the patio off it. We had approximately 160 guests. The food and service was excellent! We went with the buffet and the food was hot and delicious. Valerie was our coordinator and she is sweet, thoughtful and down to earth. She executed our theme down to every detail we wanted and I couldn't of been happier! The Bertram is exceptional and holds a special place on our hearts. Thank you for creating one of the most beautiful and memorable days of our lives!!

Everything ended up going well, food, service, etc...no hospitality room which others were disappointed about, I didn't mind. They had to search to find something to cut the cake, I don't understand why they wouldn't have one handy.

I had such an excellent experience at The Bertram. Everyone there was amazing! The Event and Banquet Staff were more than happy to accomadate anything they possibly could and each person made sure my wedding was a priority. The food was DELICIOUS and the accomodations were superb, as always. The guests are still raving about the crab cakes! Even better, everything that you could possibly think of regarding food, drink, cake, etc. is available through the hotel itself, so no need to shop around for a lot of different vendors. Don't be dissuaded because of the inital shock of the cost - this is NOT an ala carte venue, which proved very hard to find in the area, especially at hotels - which was a must for us. Overall, it was an amazing experience with an fantastic group of people - I'd highly recommend!

The Bertram is the best place to have a wedding! Arianna the wedding coordinator completely exceeded my expectations. She set everything up for our ceremony and reception beautifully. The food was fantastic, we had a duo meal, and the bar was amazing during the wedding. All of our guests keep raving about the fabulous location of the wedding and how nice everything was on the wedding day. No complaints at all from this Bride!

We chose the Bertram because they offered a really helpful, inclusive package - from valet parking to linens to the cake and our room the wedding night, they took care of it all. This saved me a lot of time, since I was planning this OH wedding from NV. There were a few service slipups at the wedding (vegetarian meals didn't make it to the right people, even upon request and the valet was MIA most of the night), but otherwise, the modern decor and new facility here made this a choice I would easily repeat.

We had a Christmas time wedding at the Bertram and were so impressed by the facility. The decorations were beautiful, the food was delicious, the staff was friendly and the event coordinator was fabulous to work with. It was a beautiful day!

Outstanding in their service, beginning with the event co-ordinator who addressed all topics in a timely manner. The servers, staff and bar tenders were well mannered and served all our guests highly. Thrilled with the set up of the ballroom and 5 star quality food.

The Bertram was the location of both my ceremony and the reception, and I couldn't have been happier! Marci Izeman was my coordinator and she was FANTASTIC! Anything I wanted, she took care of, she responded immediately to every email and phone call, and even upgraded my ceremony space and reception room at no additional charge, and took care of coordinating the last minute change with all my vendors. The Friday night before the wedding, the hotel lost power, and Marci kept me calm and never once seemed concerned, even if she was! I could NOT have been any happier! I also hired another team to come in and do my chair covers and tablecloths and centerpieces, and they were pleased with how accommodating she was.

We had issues with our original venue and decided three weeks before the wedding that it was not going to work out. We figured all the other venues in the area would be booked, but we decided to try anyway. Luckily the Bertram had a last minute cancellation and they were able to accommodate us. The staff was extremely helpful in making the last minute transition as smooth as possible. I had already designed my reception and it had a lot of details. They were able to flip the room from a lunch event and turn it into a remarkable reception. They went above and beyond. Everything I asked for was done perfectly and the room and service was more than I could have asked for. We were so luckily that our first venue didn't work out because we ended up in a place that was ten times better!

The Bertram was great. Our wedding coordinator was so helpful and patient with us. The day of, not a detail was missed. The rooms were a little plain, so lighting and decoration is an extra cost, but with my tall centerpieces, the room really came together. The food was excellent, and the rooms are very nice. I would recommend to any bride and groom. I loved that the Bertram was a one stop shop. Our cake, alcohol, passed hors devours, plated dinner, champagne toast, and linens were all included in the price per person. Our food was delicious and there was much to choose from as far as the menu. 5 stars for The Bertram!

Marci, one of the wedding planners, took care of everything. Everything went smoothly and the people setting up were super friendly and it looked great. The food at the tasting was surprisingly dry (but we were already locked in) but the day of the wedding the food was great! Everyone thought it was great. It was also nice have the annex to ourselves the whole day whereas other venues may have a wedding in that space before yours!

The food was outstanding... we had a band play and the rehersal dinner was a great time. I know my parents had a little trouble with setting things up and the prices changing. FYI

Bertram was nothing short of fabulous when it came to every step of planning our wedding all the way up until our big day. Monica, the wedding coordinator, is PRICELESS. I'm confident there is not a more caring, helpful, sweet, dedicated wedding coordinator out there. She took away so much of the stress of the whole process and put me at ease every step. Our actual reception was fabulous. Everything I had hoped for and more. Excellent food, just as we had tasted. Beautiful atmosphere. And most of all, INCREDIBLE service.

The Bertram was a great place for our reception, but you can definitely tell that they need to hire another wedding coordinator. There were 3 weddings at the Bertram the same night as mine, and it was hard to find someone to help us when there was a problem. The food was excellent, the room looked fantastic, and our cake ended up looking and tasting great, but there were some problems with the staff not being very responsive at times. I would still recommend the Bertram for a wedding reception, but definitely think they need to add another coordinator if they don't want their reviews to start getting negative.

Our ceremony and reception at the Bertram was perfect. The atmosphere was beautiful. Every detail was handled. Food was the best tasting reception food I've ever had. The service staff totally catered to the whole bridal party and family. The experience completely exceeded all of my expectations.
