An incredible experience and I would pick them time and time again! The best selection of gowns, the friendliest and most helpful staff with professionalism and experience that preceded them. It was a top notch experience for myself and my family. My sister is now getting married and we of course chose them again! Vivian, the attendants, the girls, and the seamstress. All a pleasure to work with and my wedding day was made because of this dress. Endless compliments and stunning photos. It was a fairytale! I highly recommend Bridal Salon of Dix Hills!

I originally did not have a great experience my first time coming because the attendant wasn't very attentive. However, when I found my dress, Bridal Salon of Dix Hills was able to offer it to me for a little cheaper. Vivian was super sweet and helpful when ordering my dress. She even kept me updated when my dress was delayed coming in. The alterations were done very quickly and I did not have any issues!

I have never written a negative review in my life but I am writing this in hopes that no bride has to go through what I went through. I ordered my dress in July of 2022. I was told my dress would arrive in February/March. When it arrived in March, we scheduled a fitting for April. When I went to my fitting they unzipped the bag to a dress that was not the one I ordered. They blamed the error on the manufacturing company and I was understanding because mistakes are made. Throughout this time, I remained extremely calm and kind. The owner even thanked me for being so understanding. He comped me $100 off my alterations for this mistake. Due to this error, they ended up remeasuring me and stated that I went down 2 sizes. There was a dress 2 sizes smaller "conveniently" in the warehouse in upstate NY that they were able to expedite. I was hesitant to proceed because I was worried the bust area would not fit, but trusted in the owner who does this every day that it would. At my second fitting, there were issues with the bust area. The back of my dress was in my armpits because there was not enough fabric to cover my bust. I was told that they would alter it and it would lay correctly at my last fitting. At my "last" fitting, the dress was completely botched. This was 6 days before my wedding. The back of the dress was still in my armpits, my boobs were coming out in the side. I addressed my concerns and was not being heard and the seamstress kept making remarks that because I am petite with a larger bust, it could not be fixed. The Sunday seamstress clearly does not enjoy working with brides and clearly did not want to be bothered fixing the mess she made. The owner came in with an attitude and was being extremely rude to me regarding my concerns. I went back Tuesday to pick up my dress and it was STILL wrong. 4 days before my wedding, the salon had to cut off the top of a whole other dress and sew it to mine in order to fix it. I picked up my dress on Wednesday, 3 days before my wedding. The owner tried making it up to me by giving me a reception dress of the rack, which I declined. No compensation was given and there was not amount of compensation that could make up for the amount of stress they put me through. I am not a complainer so I hate to leave this review, however, I will never forgive this place for making the week leading up to my wedding as miserable as they did. It is unfortunate that I even have to give this place 1 star.

I finally said yes to my dress thanks to ladies at The Bridal Salon of Dix Hills. They were so amazing to work with. I went back twice to make sure it was the one and they were super patient with me. Ladies, try on those dresses you never thought you wanted. I had to have tried on 60 dresses of a particular type I thought I wanted. The ladies here helped me pick something out that wasn’t even what I was looking for. I can’t wait to wear my dream dress and I have this wonderful team to thank for it!!!!

Great experience! Alterations were a breeze. The staff was friendly. I called the salon almost every other day leading up to my wedding with questions and everyone was always accommodating and patient. I also got a bridesmaids dress here for another wedding years before and we had a great experience here too!

I had a great experience buying my dream dress back in December. The Bridal Salon at Dix Hills was very accommodating so I was able to bring everyone I wanted. Donna gave me great advice and all the dresses organized when selecting my dress because I tried on many dresses within my time slot. This was the first and only bridal salon I went to find my dream dress. Pricing was very reasonable as well. Thank you, Bridal Salon of Dix Hills!

I’ve debated writing this review but I don’t want any other bride to have to go through what I went through. I think it’s important to note for any first time bride, if you are asking for any modifications to your dress (in my case adding sleeves) HAVE THEM WRITE IT DOWN. I was a Nov. 2022 bride, I found my dress in Nov. 2021, my dress was almost perfect, however I had my heart set on something long sleeved for my fall wedding. The original dress I chose did not have sleeves and before I said yes to it, I asked them if they could add sleeves and they told me yes. I come in May 2022 to see my dress for the first time and it looks exactly the same except in my size. When I asked the owner, she was confused and asked if I had mentioned that in my first meeting. Strike 1. Strike 2 was when I went in for a fitting in Sept. 2022, still no sleeves. They claimed to have ordered the fabric but I have a hard time believing that. Side note, if putting sleeves on a dress is too much work, PLEASE disclose that to the bride, I would’ve happily found a dress like the one I wanted at another store. I made another appointment in October 2022, 3 weeks before my wedding to actually here them say they didn’t have a record of me making an appointment, even though I made one literally last month. My dress still had no sleeves. I was so distraught at this point, my mother had to call the salon and give them a piece of her mind. 2 days before my wedding, I finally got the dress I wanted. The only reason why I’m giving even 2 stars is because their seamstress Maria made the perfect modifications I had asked for, and she did an amazing job. I did get my dress in the end, however, the whole process was so upsetting and frustrating that I can’t in good conscious recommend this place to anyone. With any bridal salon, be clear about your expectations and what you want when it comes to modifying your dress.

I had a GREAT experience here. I can’t recommend this place enough. Alyssa was amazing and helped me find my dream dress. She was so helpful and knew exactly what I was looking for. The owners happened to both be in the store that day and also came over to help and offer advice. Everyone here is amazing and I can’t wait to go back for my first fitting.

I was here for the weekend wedding dress shopping (I live in out of state now) and I really wasn't having any luck finding what I wanted anywhere. The night before my flight back to I was on IG and saw a reel of this dress and I knew I had to find it. I woke up the next morning told my mom, we were leaving for the airport at 3 and I went out for a walk. When I got back my mom surprised me and told me to get ready to go, she found the dress! She called Dix Hills Bridal Salon who was closed that day (a Monday) but Vivienne just happened to be there quickly and answered the phone. She was going to Westchester or something to visit someone but told my mom what time she would be back and offered to open the store up for us to see the dress. As soon as I put it on it was the one! I have nothing but good things to say about Vivienne and Bridal Salon of Dix Hills. Although they are a small boutique I'm very impressed with their selection. I wasn't able to find that dress anywhere else and I'm so grateful she opened the store up for us. Also, alterations were great too, no issues and the dress came in on time.

I had an amazing experience finding my dress at Bridal Salon of Dix Hills- the owner, Vivian, was an absolute pleasure to work with and treated me like a VIP. We were getting close to the wedding day and my dress hadn't arrived yet, but Vivian kept me in the loop throughout the process and snuck me in for a first fitting the second that the dress arrived. My alterations came out perfect and I thought they had a really great selection of dresses for any brides! I would highly recommend their shop to anyone who needs a dress on LI!

I am so happy I came here! First of all booking an appointment was so easy just had to do it online, pick my date and time and done. Second, they have later hours so I went after work which was so convenient for me. Then when I get there I’m told I’m allowed to look through and pull my own dresses which is AMAZING because no where else had let me even look for myself which I really wanted to do. Matt was fabulous and let me try so many dresses I picked and he actually ended up picking my dress! He listened to what I wanted and pulled a dress based off what I was saying and that was the dress I said yes to!!! He was super honest as well about other dresses and what looked good or wasn’t the best on me, which I really needed to hear for some direction! This was the best experience and I’m so glad I got my dress from here. I cannot recommend this enough, I was becoming doubtful that I would find a dress because I am so indecisive but right when I walked in and was greeting by Matt, I knew this would be the place. “This is where the magic happens.” Go here, you won’t regret it!!!

Overall, I had a good experience here. I got a Sophia tolli dress during a trunk show, and even though my dress wasn’t part of the show, she honored the discount for the dress which was awesome. My only issue is that when I ordered my dress I had asked for detachable off the shoulder sleeves. When I went for my first fitting, the owner told me they were around somewhere and they’d have them for the next fitting. I went for my second fitting and still no sleeves. This time she didn’t even say she had them and told the seamstress to make them out of extra material from my dress. I was a little upset, but the seamstress Maria was great. The sleeves turned out great and she did a fabulous job with my alterations. I’m super short and the dress came out great. My bustle even stayed in tack all night even with all the dancing! All in all, I’d recommend the salon- just make sure you stay on top of them if you order any extras.

This was my first experience wedding dress shopping and it was also where I found my dream dress. I was very nervous leading up to the appointment but as soon as I met Amanda, all my nerves were at ease. I felt like I was hanging out with a friend, she just understood what I wanted and what my vision was, before I even knew it. Matt came over multiple times to check on us and he even pulled my dress. He knew exactly which overskirt and veil to add to have everything come together and I truly could not be more pleased with this experience. I went into that appointment convinced that I wouldn't find anything and left breathing the biggest sigh of relief and had so much fun during my appointment. I highly recommend them to any bride and will definitely be back with my mother, mother in law and bridesmaids.

I loved having the ability to walk around the shop and pick out some dresses myself. But it was a dress pulled by Vivian, the owner, that ended up being the one (and it had pockets!!). I had a great experience, and my mom ended up getting her dress at the salon too. We used the salon for alterations, and our dresses fit perfectly the day of my wedding.

I cannot say enough good things about the Bridal Salon of Dix Hills! Before going, I called to see if they had 3 dresses I was interested in and they did. Jill was my consultant, she is the owner Vivian's daughter (who doesn't actually work there and was just filling in for the day but I got so lucky to get to work with her). She was beyond amazing and helpful and we pulled a lot of dresses for me to try on, in addition to the ones I called about. Jill helped me in the fitting room to get in and out of the dresses and hang them back up. She really listened to my likes and dislikes, and made me feel very comfortable. I never felt rushed or pressured, I truly just felt that Jill wanted me to find my perfect dress. At the end of my appointment, I was between two dresses and Jill told me to go home and see which one I kept thinking about. Again, no pressure to make a decision or buy something I wasn't certain about. That night I was leaning towards one dress but wanted to go back to try it on again. We went back the next day and worked with Vivian (the owner) who had taken the opportunity to pull some similar styles before I even came in. After trying on a few more dresses, I found my dream dress and said YES!! Vivian was so helpful and gave me an amazing idea about alterations I never would have thought of. After finding my dress, my mom and maid of honor looked around for mother of the bride and bridesmaid dresses, and both found something they loved too! This salon truly is a one-stop-shop and I cannot thank Jill and Vivian enough!

I said YES to the dress here. Vivian was so helpful and professional at my visits. I drove 6 hours every time I visit the store. If I have to drive again I do it. This lady was the only one that make my dream come true. I’m really happy that I meet Vivian in this difficult time because she help me a lot.

Had the best experience saying yes at the Bridal Salon of Dix Hills! The owner Vivian was so sweet and communicative even before I visited the shop in helping me find what I was looking for. She went above and beyond in tracking down my dream dress and getting it to their store so I could try it on. The whole process was very comfortable…they were attentive, friendly, and did not make me feel pressured. 10/10 recommend!!!

I said Yes to the Dress at The Bridal Salon of Dix Hills! Found the perfect dress for my themed wedding here and I love that the salon is only 5 minutes from my house. Vivian and her team are amazing and so very helpful and accommodating. I had a lovely time at the appointment and brought along my fiancee's little sisters, who also found their flower girl dresses easily. My mother was also able to find her dress here and she looks fantastic in the design. The alteration specialist is also wonderful and very easy to work with - she got us all fixed up in a jiffy at our alteration appointment and I am looking forward to seeing the final product in two weeks. I am a last-minute bride as I was throwing my wedding together within a month and The Bridal Salon at Dix Hills is one of the many vendors who has been so supportive and helpful to me in this incredibly stressful time. I highly recommend coming here to find your dress. They are lovely people and very flexible, willing to help you get what you need to accomplish your big day! Thankful for the Knot in helping me find them.

Everyone was so nice and helpful throughout the whole process! I was so concerned during the pandemic that my dress wouldn’t arrive in time. They were so quick to answer any questions and reassure me that everything would be fine and it was. Their pricing is very reasonable and the alterations were perfect! I wish I could go back for other dresses but I only plan to be a bride one time! :)

Love the Bridal Salon of Dix Hills! The entire staff was welcoming and enthusiastic, and made it a relaxing and fun dress shopping experience. (For reference, this was my fourth and final shop that I visited). I never felt rushed or pressured and Matt, Monica and Vivian all shared great advice and honest opinions. In fact, I said YES to a dress that I never would have found without their help. I would 100% recommend and I am very excited for my dress to arrive!

I of course tried on others just for fun & with the help from Donna who was super sweet! They work with you & knew what style I was going! Highly recommend!

I came to the Bridal Salon of Dix Hills and was blown away! Monica and Vivian helped me find the most BEAUTIFUL gown. The whole time, I felt no pressure, just support to find the perfect dress! It was a wonderful experience that I’m sure could have been very difficult if I had been somewhere else. I will recommend to all my bride to be friends!

I had an amazing experience with The Bridal Salon of Dix Hills...from my dress...to my moms..mother in laws...and all my bridesmaids...AND my invitations! I really felt that I was the only bride and wedding they had. Thank you so much Vivianne and Donna, you guys were amazing and always answered all my questions. The Bridal Salon of Dix Hills was more than just a bridal salon. It was a place filled with comfort, happiness, and care. Linda was more than accommodating and would not stop looking for my perfect dress until I got emotional. It didn't stop there. The owner personally took me her under her wing and went above and beyond to help accessorize me and make sure my dress fit me beautifully. I loved them so much that I went back with my bridesmaids and got their dresses there too! The owner does invitations too!!! So I will definitely be getting mine from her. She knew my style and showed me a few handmade samples she had at the store. I instantly fell in love. How she knew my style and what I was trying to capture was truly a work of art. If you're looking for a place with a wide range of dresses, super friendly and genuine professionals, and a place that you can do it all at, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!
