I can't say enough about Jeanetta. She is so sweet, so honest, and she turned my online dress nightmare into an absolutely gorgeous gown. She really knows what she is doing, I trusted her judgement... And she spun gold.

Jeanetta was really great. My gown fit pretty well to begin with, the only alteration I needed was adding a bustle to my dress. With only about 6 weeks until my wedding I realized I may have kicked that can down the road a little too long. Jeanetta made time for multiple fittings and was completely upfront about pricing. I liked her straight-forwardness so much that I had her steam my dress as well (It had quite a large skirt and about 9 layers, not including a detachable train.) She did a fabulous job and I would definitely recommend her to anyone needing a formalwear tailor.

Jeanetta is altering/reconstructing my matron of honor dress for my best friend's wedding. She takes so much time with you and really gets to the bottom of you wants and needs for alterations. She even drew me a picture! And it's not even MY wedding. She was very helpful and I would recommend using her with no hesitation!

Jeanetta is the best! I bought a dress from a sample dress store back in January. It was two sizes too big, the hem had to be shortened because I'm pretty short, plus I wanted to modify the neckline to make it more modest. I called several tailors in the Burbank area to get an estimate on how much alterations would cost me. Jeanetta worked with my budget and gave me a great deal! She's very kind and always responsive whenever I needed to contact her. I got married in June of this year, and the dress looked gorgeous! It surpassed my expectations! I received many compliments on the dress and my accessories, which I was able to purchase through Jeanetta as well. I had a specific vision of how my veil, earrings, and hair accessories would be like for my wedding day. I sent Jeanetta images of what I was looking for, and by my next fitting she had a whole table of accessories set up and ready for me to choose from! The best thing about buying the veil and accessories from her, in my opinion, was that I had the ability to try on a bunch of things with my dress on, so I knew for sure that that was exactly how I would look on my wedding day! All the small floral details in my dress matched the details on my accessories so perfectly! She also created a custom bustle for my dress which looked beautiful! Although it was a more complicated bustle, she made sure she gave my Maid of Honor a map so that she can have a cheat sheet on the wedding day in case she gets lost. On top of that she was readily available the day before and the day of, when my Maid of Honor had more questions about bustling the dress. I could not have been happier with the way everything turned out, and I'm so glad I decided to entrust my wedding dress with her!

Jeanetta is the best. She has her own tiny shop and she's very responsive, does beautiful work, and is very friendly. She also sells a bit of jewelry and hair accessories, so while you are trying on your gown, you can also try out different looks and buy these items, too. She even let me FaceTime my maid of honour once, and she held my phone and walked around me so that my MOH could see the dress and how the fittings were coming along. She also custom-made my veil for me, at a fraction of the cost of what the bridal shops sell them for - plus you can get exactly what you want (white or ivory, length, crystals or sequins, etc). I wasn't sure I wanted one at all, but she had many for me to try on, and then we chose together which would be the perfect one for me and for my dress. Jeanetta did a great job on my alterations and on my veil. She also recommended other vendors (dry cleaner) for me to work with, and I was happy with the other vendor, too. I highly recommend her!

Jeanette is a dream! She is kind, gentle, and a perfectionist! Her studio is comfortable and cozy. I ended up having 4 fittings, and left in the best mood after each of them! She makes you feel very much at ease during the whole process. She even ended up working on my Moms dress too! Her prices are also amazing! Rest assured that your dress is in good hands with Jeanette. I loved the way my dress turned out. I also ended up purchasing a veil from Jeanette, which I never anticipated that I would have wanted a veil. But when else are you ever going to wear one?! The simple veil she made for me was amazing. The Brides Tailor designer Jeanetta Martinez impressed me and transformed the look of our wedding ceremony. We got married 3-17-17 on my husband's country farm hillside. It was romantic with rolling surrounding mountains in North Georgia. Jeanetta discussed this vision for a gown that would compliment the scenery. She was so passioned and had me excited by her excitement. She hand crafted, custom designed the most enchanted wedding gown I could have ever imagined. It brought tears to my bride's heart to gliding in the beautiful dress. When the wind moved through the gown it flowed with fullness and an enchanted beauty. I dont know how to find words, except I wish this would be the experience every bride would have for their most special day of their life. Jeanetta also custom made 2 veils for me and provided jewelry to accent the look. It was amazing, awestruck and radiant. I'm an actress in movies and one of the movies "The Farmer & The Belle" asked us to film our wedding to use for the end of the film. The producer was so impressed by appearance of the gown and said it made me into the most beautiful bride ever arriving to marry my groom on a haywagon filled with my loved ones surrounded by sunflowers, ladies in yellow and the sisters in green coordinating colors of our wedding. We had hay bails for our ceremony and a drone capturing the footage from above. The dress was the iconic visual just like Jeanetta described and hoped it would be. It was special. I was referred to Jeanetta from a friend that had got married the year before. I was grateful to not have to do more research on this too! Jeanetta was great! She had all the helpful info about what shoes to buy and suggestions on how to wear my hair. Even on a timeline on how much time to talk to each guest at my wedding. And the best discussion I made for the whole wedding was buying a "relief" pair of shoes, which was a suggestion of Jeanettas thank you! Jeanetta was great with the scheduling, very up front about what everything would cost and how to save. I came in 2 months before the wedding. When I tried it on the first time I thought - Oh god its soo big everywhere, how it is ever going to fit right - But silly me. The second time I came in a month before, It was almost prefect and looked so great! Just a little long. I picked the finished dress up the week before the wedding. She had it all packed up for me as I was flying there and told me how to take care of it and how to travel with it. It was so helpful and it traveled great, no wrinkles! My only complaint is that she said she would remove the hanger strings, it must have just got missed. Just double check. Thanks Jeanetta, couldn't have done it without ya!

I found Jeanetta via searching the internet rabbit hole for someone to alter my Vera Wang wedding dress. It is my dream dress and I was able to buy it at a sample sale. The issue was the bodice was too small for my larger than average ribcage, but I bought it anyway, hoping that it could be salvaged. Enter Jeanetta. She was kind and welcoming and we discussed ideas if the bodice couldn't be expanded enough. Luckily, she was able to alter it to my body perfectly and now I have this gorgeous dress to look forwards to wearing next week! Her location is easily accessible and her rates are more than reasonable. I highly recommend her to any bride. Jeanetta was extremely easy to work with, especially when it came to scheduling times to come in and communicating what could be done and what would look best.

When you're looking for someone to provide alterations for the most expensive and most important gown you'll ever own in your life, it's pretty nerve wrecking. When I first me Jeanetta, she immediately put me at ease. She is the sweetest person ever and will give you an honest and fair opinion regarding your alterations. I wanted cap sleeves added to my gown and was worried it might make it look "piece-y" but Jeanetta's skill proved me wrong. The best part was the bustle on my dress. I truly had a fairy tale gown on the day of my wedding and it was breathtaking. I had so many people commenting on the bustle and the gown that I was more than happy that I chose Jeanetta to do my alterations.

Please ladies, believe these great reviews because they are absolutely true! Jeanetta is such a sweet woman, she does amazing work and she is reasonably priced. Trust me, I checked around and did a ton of research! She was so wonderful, in fact, I had two of my bride's maids get their dresses worked on as well. Jeanetta is delightful! She did a fantastic job on my dress. I needed a hem and a bustle, she ended up giving me 2 bustle options and I used them both. She even gave me a third one when she found out we were doing a tango, so I could be certain I wouldn't get caught in my train. I also had a wool cloak she hemmed for me, and we were so happy with the work she had done, my mom took her dress in to be tweaked, and both dresses and cloak ended up perfect!

STAY AWAY FROM JEANETTA. Dealing with her was a TOTAL NIGHTMARE. She left my without a veil 9 days before my wedding and screamed at me until I walked out of her shop. It took her 7 months and me begging to pick up my wedding dress to finally get it. She completely botched my dress. I cried myself to sleep. I texted her that now I don't know what to do. She said it was okay to bring the dress back and asked me to give her one more chance to fix it. If I was unhappy she would give me a refund (I had already paid in full). After cancelling and pushing over and over again (and may I say the only appointment she didn't push or cancel was the very first one), I was finally ready to see my dress again (10 days before my wedding), she texted me that I had a $140 balance. Jeanetta added a mysterious balance to my account after I told her I was unhappy with the botched alteration job. She told me nothing is free and she forgot to charge me last time even though the memo on my check said remaining balance when I paid her. She said she "forgot to ask me" when I picked up my dress the first time. So let me get this straight - if you didn't do a botched alteration job and I didn't bring the dress back you were going to forgive a payment? NO. It was a total lie. In blue pen, Jeanetta added more costs to my invoice after I signed in black pen and stated that these costs were always there. No, she added them after I signed. That is fraud. 6 months ago Jeanetta told me she could make me a custom veil. I agreed to pay her $600 for the veil. I left a $100 deposit. I went shopping a bridal store in Downtown LA and saw the CUSTOM veil hanging in a store there. I brought it to her attention, she was charging me 6X the price of this veil and calling it custom. She told me that there was no way that it was downtown and that was a fake version so I decided to turn my head towards that and give her the benefit of the doubt. Fast forward so many months, I still haven't seem my veil. She was going to add beads and rhinestones to it upon my request. I figured at least if I'm paying another $500 then I should get a lot of bling, right? Wrong. I went to see the veil 10 days before my wedding for the first time because she refused to send me pictures. It was clear that she didn't work on it for 6 months and just lead me on. The veil was pretty although it wasn't what I wanted to I pulled out my checkbook to pay her as I had done in the past. Jeanetta accused me of ATTEMPTING TO WRITE HER A BAD CHECK. Who runs a business like that? Is that how you treat customers? I decided I couldn't take the veil. I didn't want to hand her cash and have her say I never paid her. I saw how she added the payments onto my dress. If anyone wants photos or any more details please send me a direct message and I'll be glad to show you. I never write reviews but I feel like I have a responsibility to do something to prevent this from happening to any other brides less than two weeks from their wedding day!

Look no further! Jeanetta is truly the best!! My dress needed a few alterations that she executed beautifully. When at the last minute, I decided to ditch my original veil thinking I would go without one, Jeanetta told me she didn't want to push me into it, but could make me a veil to complete my "vision" if I did end up wanting one. Thankfully, I took her up on it, and my veil ended up being one of my favorite elements of the day.

Jeanetta is the best! My dress arrived one month before my wedding and the neckline was much lower than I expected. Because of the intricate beading and small amount of fabric, there was no way to raise the neckline using the existing fabric. Jeanetta designed a custom insert that was added to the top of my dress so that the neckline wasn't so plunging and it was gorgeous. It looked like it was part of the design of the original dress and yet provided a completely custom look for me. In addition to adding the neckline addition, Jeanetta created a bustle system for my dress. This was very complex because my skirt was made up of 4 layers of silky fabric topped with another 4 layers of tulle. Jeanetta was able to number the buttons and hooks so that my mom was able to bustle my dress in under 10 minutes, despite the fact that it was comprised of over 15 hooks and buttons. I was so thankful that Jeanetta was able to complete all of the alterations in a few short weeks and completely saved me! I got so many compliments on the finished dress and am so happy that I found Jeanetta!

Jeanetta is OUTSTANDING. She has a meticulous eye, gives each and every customer her upmost care and attention. Whether you are a bride or bridesmaid - your dress is a priority. Her skill is far beyond what you find at most other places as she has made costumes for television and film in addition to making her own custom gowns. Prices are reasonable compared to many other places. We completely re-designed my dress and it turned out spectacular. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Jeanetta is AMAZING!! She made two beautiful dresses for me within a two week time frame. One for my dauther's baptism and the other for my brother's wedding where I was the matron of honor. There was not a detail overlooked. I am extremely picky was more than pleased with the immaculate work she did and brought my exact vision to life. Not only is her work amazing, but she is the sweetest and most trustworthy lady to work with. Highly recommended!!

Jeanetta was my savior. I have never had such a problem ordering a dress. When I finally got my dress it was the wrong size and the wrong length. I called Jeanetta before I even took the dress off and she told me to come over to her shop right away and she would help me figure out how to make it work. She recommended a great place to buy under garments that would help give the dress some shape and hold it up. Then she evened out the hem. The dress was so beautiful that my sister, the bride, refused to let me cut it. I only had two weeks to make this dress perfect and Jeanetta did just that...my dress is absolutely perfect! It was the one thing on my list that I could check off as soon as I dropped it off to her and knew I would not have to worry. I will only go to Jeanetta in the future and I will recommend her to any and everyone I know!!!!!!

I want an elegant, very simple, yet spectacular gown for my wedding, but in burgundy velvet. No one was willing to take it on & then I was referred to Jeanetta. I described what I wanted and she quickly and excitedly sketched out exactly what I had in mind, only better, adding touches that give the dress more structure and make it fit beautifully. Had a custom made dress made for my special day! Couldnt decide on anything we seen in stores and was so unhappy, we found her through an inernet search and made the appt we werre able to come up with an ide of what i wanted and she was able to make it come alive! So happy with this dress best decision i ever made!! Absolutely love tis dress wish i could wear it everyday!!

My daughter and I were novices to bridal attire and I believe we contacted Jeannetta only 2-3 weeks prior to the wedding date to take care of the bustling and a few alterations to her dress. My daughter had lost a little weight and also wanted alterations to her rehearsal dinner dress. Jeannetta was very calm dealing with us as we swirled through the chaos and stress of last minute details. We missed and had to reschedule appointments a couple of time but Jeannetta took that in stride. She even found replacements for the missing stones on some sandals my daughter wanted for dancing. Professional with attention to detail and the patience of a saint, that's Jeannetta! We are now in the process of preserving the gown and Jeannetta takes care of those details, too.
