Our clients frequently say our cake is the best they have ever tasted, and that is because of our approach to baking - exceptional ingredients, baked from scratch, in small batches, by an experienced staff. Only in this way can a baker create true flavors, fresh taste, and a moist tender crumb. Choosing The Cake House to create your wedding cake will mean that your guests will have a superb finish to their dinner, not just an obligatory afterthought. Additionally, our team of cake artists are able to create bridal shower, groom’s cake, rehearsal dinner cake, or anniversary cake that can perfectly capture your personality. Karen and her team are amazing! We came across The Cake House at a local bridal show in Hampton Roads. After attending a few tastings with other local shops, we knew The Cake House could help bring our vision to life...and we were not disappointed. Karen helped us create a custom wedding cake with such amazing flavor combinations. She truly cares about each of her customers and likes to hear their "story" to help in the cake designing process. She also includes easy-to-understand instructions at delivery, for your venue, to assist in appropriate portion cutting based on your estimates. Planning a wedding during a pandemic was not easy, especially when we had to postpone our larger wedding due to COVID restrictions. The Cake House maintained flexibility and helped us successfully navigate through uncharted waters. Our wedding cake and cupcakes (which they baked for a smaller ceremony in 2020) were delicious and exceeded our expectations. Not only is The Cake House a great small local business for a variety of events, but they offer an assortment of tasty desserts all year long (my personal favorite is the Biscoff Blondies).

Karen at the Cake House created a delicious cake for our wedding! From our initial communication, to the tasting and the final product, it was wonderful. She took her time during the tasting to explain all of the options. Everything we tasted was so good that it made it difficult to choose just one flavor. While we chose just a cutting cake size, it was perfect.

Karen at the Cake House truly created the perfect cake for our wedding. Not only did it taste delicious, but it looked utterly gorgeous. We could not have imagined a better cake for our wedding. We definitely would recommend The Cake House for any event in need of tasty treats!
