The Caldwell House

We could not have chosen a better place to celebrate our wedding. From the moment our family and friends arrived on Friday for the rehearsal, everyone was impressed. The house, garden, pavilion and curb-appeal are welcoming and gorgeous. My favorite part of this venue was that we had a "get-away" weekend while feeling so at home. Our parents stayed in the rooms upstairs, so we were able to have breakfast together, visit, laugh, cry, and reminisce. It was nice for our families to have a chance to come together. The one thing we knew we wanted in a venue was to provide a carefree event for ourselves and our families...no setup, cleanup, cooking, etc. That's exactly what we got with the Caldwell. The attentiveness of the coordinator was wonderful, and she really wanted to make everything run smoothly. And it did! Everything went off without a hitch (that I knew about anyways). We could not have had such a wonderful event without the staff at the Caldwell. After all of the excitement and festivities, what I loved most was relaxing in the jacuzzi in the gorgeous honeymoon suite! We've gotten so many compliments about the Caldwell House and our wedding, and we'd definitely recommend them to anyone who wants somewhere for a unique experience.

I am a newlywed who had her dream wedding all in one place. The Caldwell House is not your ordinary Bed & Breakfest. At least not to me:) I fell in love with the historic house the minute my mother and I walked in the door. The staff immediately made me fell that my special day was going to be just as important to them as it was for me. I not only had my wedding ceremony there, but I had my bridal pictures, rehersal dinner, ceremony and my husband and I enjoyed the honeymoon suite the first night as husband and wife. It was magicial! I can honestly say it became my home. The venue is gorgeous. You can have your ceremony inside or outside. I chose outside and even with Louisiana weather nothing could stop The Caldwell House from making my day perfect. We got married under the pavillion, but we did also have the choice of the outside garden. I chose to have my bridal pictures taken in the garden, on the amazing wood staircase, in the bridal suite and on the front porch. Me and my bridesmaids enjoyed the bridal suite the morning of my wedding. We were provided with champagne and sandwiches and a morning full of laughs and tears. Me and my girls had our hair and makeup done there and the staff would check on us periodically to make sure we had everything we needed and if we didn't they would make sure within minutes we got what we asked for. The rehearsal dinner was amazing as well. I never once worried about a thing. They took care of everything. Their motto was we do all the work and you enjoy the journey. What bride do you now that seriously would want to have all events at the same place. I promise you there is this feeling of being at home at the Caldwell House. If you are anything like me you get this automatic feeling when you walk into your house you grew up in a feeling of security and peace. I got that feeling when I first stepped into The Caldwell House. The staff has the perfect Southern hospitality.You cannot go wrong with The Caldwell House. My husband and I have already agreed to celebrate our anniversary there. I love this house and it will forever be a place I call home and where my new life with my husband began. Whatever type of wedding you are looking for The Caldwell House will make it happen:)

I had my wedding at The Caldwell House about a month ago, and I couldn't have been happier with it! The house itself is absolutely gorgeous, and Mae and her staff are an exceptional group of people who really care about the way your wedding day turns out. Mae was always available whenever I had questions or needed help with anything. They took care of all of the little things I didn't want to worry about, like calling the florist and the caterer to set up delivery times etc. The price and value were incredible. I would recommend this venue to anyone I know!
