The Colonial Inn

My husband and I got married in beautiful Ogunquit, ME in August 2015. We were able to reserve 15 rooms at the Colonial Inn for our guests staying in town. I think it's awesome that the Colonial was able to do this for us since rooms in Ogunquit are very hard to come by in the summer time. Tanya was wonderful to work with and made the entire process seamless. The Colonial Inn even hand delivered our welcome bags to people's rooms so they were waiting for them when they arrived. A few issues making sure all guests received the quoted rate but it was easily resolved. Highly recommend.

We had a destination wedding in Ogunquit and spoke to a number of Inns for our guest room block, and we chose The Colonial Inn. The Inn has special memories for me as it was the last of the quaint and rustic Inns of yesteryear, and I'd stayed there often over the years. So we were delighted to see that the new owners had renovated the Inn with great sensitivity to historic details, and kept the original feel to the rooms and common areas, but made it modern and stylish at the same time, with larger rooms and bathrooms, soft peaceful colors, comfortable beds and quality linens. Taylor the Manager was kind and welcoming and made it an easy choice for us. Every contact we made with her was met with prompt replies and great flexibility. Every single one of the guests (15 rooms) who stayed there had positive reviews and a couple of guests who had never been to Ogunquit have been back to stay here again. An extra plus was that we rented Trolleys for an off site wedding, and they are able to park and turn around at the Colonial. The only suggestion I would add is to note that the rooms are all quite different in terms of views, size and layout, which is an intentional part of the charm, so be sure to specify if you want a certain size or view. The top two floor front rooms have the most spectacular views in the hotel, overlooking the Marginal Way and beach.
