Our wedding at The Cornwall Inn was a dream come true! We had searched for a large home / airbnb and could not seem to find much close to our home in NJ. When we found the Cornwall Inn online we thought it was too good to be true. Anne met with us at the home to walk the space and answer all of our questions, it was stunning in person and we knew this was where we wanted to get married the minute we got there. The location is perfect, very quiet and peaceful. The setup was great, we loved the location to set up the bar and the separate building in between the bar and the tent was great for a charcuterie / app area. The home was cozy and all of the kids in our family spent their time in the game room & movie room. I can’t say enough about how much we love this location and how perfect our wedding was. Anne & James are kind, accommodating and very well at communicating. Everything was set up (chairs/tables etc.) when we arrived. Anne had even reached out to see if we had a specific seating arrangement in mind which was very much appreciated. Thank you so much for making our dream wedding a reality in this amazing home!
The cornwall Inn was the perfect wedding venue. After touring the Cornwall Inn I immediately fell in love with it. Each wedding venue we toured after the Cornwall Inn couldn’t compare to it. You will not find this experience anywhere else. You are able to enjoy your whole wedding weekend on the property which makes this super convenient and you don’t have to worry about transportation to the venue and where to stay after the wedding. The bridesmaids and I got ready on the third floor of the house while the guys got ready and hung out on the bottom level where there is a game room and movie theater room. The wedding party enjoyed staying on the property. Also, the Cornwall Inn is super historic being built in the 1700’s. The rooms were so unique as well. With the Cornwall Inn you have so much flexibility to make your wedding what you want as far as decor and how to use the space. We got a lot of compliments from our guests on our venue choice and how beautiful everything was. Ann and James are great to work with and are a call or text away if you need anything. They answered any questions we had and were super kind. They care about their guests and want them to enjoy their stay. We truly enjoyed our stay and are so happy we went with the Cornwall Inn as our wedding venue. I already miss it and cannot wait to hopefully get back and stay in the near future.
James and his wife Anne were absolutely great to work with! When they took over our contract, we were originally hesitant because they were new owners to the property, but they have definitely taken an already beautiful venue with their experience and polished it to shine. They are incredibly responsive, patient hosts that had an answer for every little question I had. Our guests loved the history and charm of the Inn, and our wedding party absolutely loved getting to stay on site all weekend long. We assigned beds to everyone in the wedding party, then the girls had hair and make up upstairs while the guys played in the game room downstairs. It made packing and unpacking incredibly easy as well, because everything was all in one place for the rehearsal, the ceremony, and the reception. Getting married at the Cornwall Inn had always been a childhood dream, and even with rain all day, we ended up with some beautiful indoor and porch pictures thanks to the classic interior and many outdoor coverings. My husband and I were also able to flip the carriage house into a private area after cocktail hour, so that we were able to have our first dinner as husband and wife alone while everyone else ate in the tent. There is so much versatility and flexibility in this property that is hard to come by. We loved every part of our weekend at the Cornwall Inn.
Ending our special day at The Cornwall Inn was probably the best decision we could’ve made! The owner was so great to work with, so accommodating and on top of everything we needed! The place itself is so beautiful and well taken care of. The venue is quite affordable, as it provides plenty of place to stay in addition to a ceremony and reception area. We had such a great time here and would recommend it to anyone!
WOW, a perfect wedding and weekend! This kind of experience could not be replicated anywhere else! If you want to enjoy a whole wedding weekend and DIY your wedding- look no further! We had an outdoor wedding 6/17/23 and it was beyond our dreams. We got to enjoy both the inn and venue to ourselves and with our family for the whole weekend! James and Anne are so pleasant to work with and always a phone call away. They have made the Cornwall Inn and grounds EXQUISITE, and added amazing touches to both, but when it comes to the wedding weekend you are there alone to have your wedding as you wish. Our guests were in awe and could not stop raving about the natural beauty of the inn, the history (built in the late 1700's), and of course the immaculate and breathtaking grounds. Plus we are were so happy with how relaxed and present we could be on the wedding day with additional guests because we had the day before to set up, and Sunday to clean up. We had our ceremony outside next to the Inn in what feels like an enchanted forest, with the charming barn and carriage house for the bar and appetizers. The beautiful patio outside of the carriage house was perfect for guests to enjoy cocktail hour right next to the cool, babbling stream, and the tent was perfect for our reception. The grounds are just so lush, enchanting, and unique, and naturally stunning- you cannot find a place like this anywhere else! The Inn is absolutely beautiful and grand, with modern touches like a movie theater room, game room, hot tub, bar room, and large TV's scattered throughout for entertainment. We wouldn't have changed a thing about our wedding and hope to have a anniversary weekend here living through it all over again.
My wife and I had a wedding more perfect than we ever could have imagined at the Cornwall Inn. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful location – it was everything we could have dreamed of and more. James and Anne were wonderful to work with, and their support helped make our dream day a reality. The rooms in the Inn are absolutely gorgeous, and so cozy – I could talk about those huge pillows and the giant soft towels forever. It was so nice to have a dishwasher, multiple fridges, and every kitchen utensil/pot/dish one could imagine. We can’t recommend this venue enough.
Our wedding on October 12th was a dream, thanks to the attentive staff and beautiful grounds of the Cornwall Inn. The gazebo area served as our ceremony space, the carriage house was where our guests began the party at cocktail hour, and the big white tent was where we enjoyed a delicious meal and great company for the remainder of our evening. Our guests raved about our buffet dinner. The venue is also very convenient to multiple hotels in the area, which is a plus for those who were from out of town. The Cornwall Inn has both a bridal and grooms suite that are great for adding the finishing touches to your look before walking down the aisle. I would highly recommend this venue for your dream day and wouldn't change a thing!
We had our wedding on October 13, 2017. Despite the rain, our wedding was absolutely beautiful at the Cornwall Inn. We wouldn't have changed a thing. Richelle and Sue were extremely attentive throughout the entire night. We will never forget their kindness and service. We received several compliments on this lovely venue. We wanted simple, casual and a day full of love and that is exactly what we received. We were told multiple times that our wedding day was what a wedding should be. The food was amazing as well as the staff. We highly recommend the Cornwall Inn.
Thank You...Mr. and Mrs. Smith
We had the best wedding ever thanks to the hard workers at Cornwall Inn. Everything was fabulous !
We had our wedding at the Cornwall Inn this past weekend, and we are absolutely thrilled by the way everything turned out. We wanted to make it more casual and low-key with a twist of class, and we were able to more than accomplish that here. We received so many compliments on the beautiful grounds and the food, and the staff were wonderful to work with during every step of the process. They made sure the entire weekend was virtually stress-free, and overall, the success of our wedding made us overjoyed. Thank you!
My wedding was September 16th. Richelle and Sue did an absolutely wonderful job. Everything went so smoothly. I couldn't have asked for a better wedding day. All of my guests said how beautiful the grounds are and how amazing a job the staff did. I highly recommend this place to any brides looking. It's absolutely stunning grounds and from beginning to end everything has been absolutely wonderful!
I just had my wedding there yesterday (9/9) and everything was beautiful!!! Richelle and Sue were amazing to work with and made sure everything was ready prior to the day and answered all questions. They both were amazing the day off the wedding and made sure it ran wonderful!! I couldnt have asked for a better day!!!
We are SO incredibly happy that we chose to have our wedding at the Cornwall Inn! From the delicious food to the beautiful scenery, our guests ensured us that they enjoyed themselves! Everyone that we worked with did a tremendous job making sure everything ran smoothly and that we had everything we needed. Although it did rain on our wedding day (YAY for good luck!!) I would have never known because the tent kept us dry and worry-free. You will not be disappointed!! Love, The Withrows
This place is so charming and was the perfect place for our "enchanted forest" wedding. It would also work for more rustic weddings, fairytale weddings, vintage/ Victorian weddings, or natural/earthy weddings. Definitely a unique space with a lot of versatility. We did our ceremony outside and the reception inside. Something to note: it says 151-200, but if you want your reception inside you can't have more than 80 people. The outside tent is what can accommodate the 200. The food here is done exclusively by the Inn, but that is a bonus, because their food is amazing and it definitely makes the process easier. The food tasting was a fun day :) You can however bring in your own cake/ desserts. It's also BYOB, which is great because it cuts down on the cost of alcohol. Richelle was very helpful all the way through and both Richelle and Sue did a great job behind the scenes on the wedding day making sure everything ran smoothly. No need for any separate wedding planner or day-of coordinator. There is also a room available for the bride and groom to stay that night, which was so convenient and easy. In addition to the room to stay over, there is a room for the girls to get ready and one for the guys. In my opinion, the guys' was nicer, but the girls' room looked over the outdoor ceremony space, which was nice. You could see when everyone was settled and ready to start... also gave me some butterflies watching them sit down haha! Overall, definitely a great pick!
This was the first venue we visited, and we loved it immediately! Its absolutely beautiful! Richelle and her team went out of their way to make sure that everything went smoothly the day of, and answered all my questions(no matter how trivial) leading up to the big day. And the food - absolutely amazing! All our guests loved it.
It was my daughter's fairytale wedding. The place was beautiful. The staff was hard working and great to work with. The food was really good. The wedding coordinator was great to work with before and during the wedding. It was the perfect place to have an outdoor wedding and reception. Thanks, to all the staff for a job well done.
The venue was absolutely gorgeous and everyone was completely blown away. Richelle was very attentive and accommodating to our individual needs and went above and beyond to maintain clear communication and help make our day run smoothly. The food was phenomenal and we received so many compliments from our friends and family. I would absolutely recommend this venue for any special occasion. It's romantic, vintage and absolutely stunning. The location itself made our wedding a dream come true. Thank you Richelle and your staff for your hard work!!!
Absolutely stunning venue! We knew as soon as we saw the property that this was where we wanted to get married. It was great working with Richelle and Sue for our wedding. They are wonderful individuals! Richelle was easy to work with and communicate with during the planning phase. She responded to my requests quickly and followed up on outstanding items. Sue did a great job coordinating the "day of" activities. I saw them briefly throughout the day as they managed and executed tasks with their staff and my vendors. Everything was perfect!
Our wedding at The Cornwall Inn was absolutely perfect! From the very beginning we fell in love with the venue. Richelle was such a pleasure to work with and was very quick responding to all (and a lot ) of emails. It was a breeze setting up meeting times when we felt talking in person would be easier. The day before and day of the wedding were spectacular! They were flexible with set up times and made us truly feel accommodated throughout our entire experience. Our wedding day went without a hitch - seriously, it was perfect. Everything was set up as we had discussed and they made sure to cater to our guests needs as well as ours. I would HIGHLY recommend using this venue. It is stunning, intimate and the staff is a true pleasure to work with.
The Cornwall inn facilities and staff are incredible for our wedding on August 20th! The grounds were stunning and well kept. The staff was so helpful and flexible. Every time we looked around the staff was busy clearing plates or setting something up. They were moving around like crazy and truly made our day run so smoothly. The point person answered all my emails so fast and was able to answer my questions. The food was great and all my guests loved all the places to go and sit, other than in the tent and in the sun and the ceremony.
The Cornwall Inn is a very classy and beautiful place to have a wedding & reception. Our guests had nothing but great things to say about our wedding/reception. The grounds are beautiful and the Inn is gorgeous! Richelle is top notch and caters to the bride and groom! Our day was perfect! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is a wonderful wedding venue – historical, whimsical natural setting, intimate feel. Guests commented over and over about how lovely it was; “like the Shire.” We had our wedding outside in early August 2015 - the weather was about hot and humid, though thankfully not rainy! (We could have had the wedding in the Victorian mansion if it had rained). Though the weather was hot and humid, the tent was cool enough that the heat was not a concern. Also, there is a lot of tree cover!
Richelle and Sue are very accommodating to all requests and timely in their responses to my inquiries - they really wanted me to feel that my day was unique to my own style. They are very thoughtful and experienced at their craft.
I would definitely recommend the Cornwall Inn as a truly magical place to have a wedding.
We had the wedding I have always dreamed of at this beautiful, historical venue. We had a very small wedding, only seventeen guests. But we still had the whole venue for ourselves the entire day. The ceremony was at 3pm, with a forecast of possible thunderstorms. Richelle set up inside and outside so we could go either way to have the ceremony. I decided to have the ceremony inside, the temperature had reached 92 and it was very humid.
Even though it was a small wedding I still felt that I was treated the same as if it had been a larger one.
We had a wonderful photographer, Amy from LA Photography in Lebanon, Pa.. We were lucky that the sun stayed out and got some amazing pictures inside and out.
We had dinner at The Bluebird Inn, which has the same owner. The food and atmosphere were excellent. Service was great and portion size was equal or more than the price. We will definately return there to eat more often.
We then returned to the Inn and spent the night . We stayed in the larger suite, which offered a jaquizzi and king size bed. It was a wonderful way to relax and talk about our special day. Adding to the great memories that we had all ready made earlier.
This is a very quiet and relaxing venue. An elemantary school and churches surround it.
I will definitely recommend this venue to family and friends. They also do other events such has anniversaries, graduations, vowel renewals and birthdays. They can also do events in the winter, this would be a great location for a holiday party.
The Cornwall Inn was the perfect place for our wedding. We wanted to have our ceremony and reception all in one place, but we also wanted to have it somewhere that had a lot of history and beauty. After our first meeting with Richelle, we knew The Cornwall Inn was where we wanted to start our new beginning. The staff, the food, the venue...everything was perfect. Our guests are still raving about the entire event!
Before my wedding at the Cornwall Inn this past weekend, I never fully understood when people said, "My wedding day was the best day of my life." Now, and thanks to the staff at the Cornwall Inn, I completely understand and agree that my wedding ceremony and reception at the Cornwall Inn was, indeed, the best day of my life.
I worked with the staff for 9 months and every experience I had was lovely and helpful. The guidance provided by Sue and Richelle was impeccable: they handled all of my questions (and my family's questions), they provided insight and foresight (to details I never would have thought of), and guidance around what works best.
On the day of the wedding, and because we didn't have a rehearsal, they helped all of us make some final decisions and provided direction when we wouldn't have had a clue how to move forward. During the reception, I didn't have to step away from any activity or conversation with a guest because staff had every next move planned and were prepared for everything.
When I think of how wonderful our wedding was, I think of how much I appreciate the staff at the Cornwall Inn because of all of the prep work and day-of work they put their hearts in to.
And, to top it off, the grounds and buildings are BEAUTIFUL! A bad photograph has yet to be taken at the Cornwall Inn.
Much appreciation!
The Cornwall Inn was an incredible venue to have for our wedding. Richelle was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was responsive to every question I asked and accommodating on all of my requests leading up to the wedding. (and I emailed her quite often!) The day of the wedding, her staff were wonderful and pleasant. It rained up until 10 minutes before the ceremony and her staff were immediately outside drying off the chairs and preparing the ceremony area. Everything flowed smoothly during the day and I didn't have to worry about a thing. We received many compliments on the location and how beautiful it was. We also received many compliments on the food that was catered by The Bluebird Inn. I would definitely recommend The Cornwall Inn for any bride in the area.
The Cornwall Inn made our Wedding Day exactly what I had pictured. The whole day felt like a dream! Sue and Richelle were amazing and very patient with me. They were very accommodating and let me change the table set up all around the night before at the set up, a lot of which they did after I left and had it all set and ready to go the next day. There was even a wedding going on inside while I was setting up outside and they were still very attentive to me, and made all the changes I requested. Richelle answered my many many emails, always in a timely manner.
The day of the wedding it was raining off and on all day. They did everything they could to make sure, if it was possible, to have the wedding outside. Even down to the last second. As it turned out, it dropped down to a slight drizzle and we had the ceremony outside. We got so many compliments on the venue and the food from our guests. We really could not have had a more perfect day and a lot of that credit goes to The Cornwall Inn for all of their amazing work and dedication to making our day great!
If you are looking for a venue with natural character and charm all of its own, then you must take a look at this place. I promise you will not be disappointed!
The Cornwall Inn was a perfect place for our wedding. Every part of it is beautiful, which made it possible to worry less about decorations and more about having a fun time.
We had pictures done on the grounds, and there were so many great, unique locations to choose from. There were about 45 guests in the large room of the inn, which was plenty of room to seat everyone comfortably, to have the food/bar and DJ set up, and to have a large dance area. As the women were getting ready, we had a large room that allowed seven of us to get ready at the same time. There were at least five mirrors to work with, which meant that there was no stressing about getting our makeup on and hair done at the same time.
The staff was amazing. I was actually really calm about everything because I knew that there were great people working behind the scenes to make everything work. They were also really supportive of my unique ideas.
We had a lot of guests from out of town, and the area definitely could accommodate with several hotels around. We were also given the option to rent any or all of the rooms at the inn for people. While we did not get married in a church (just did everything at the inn!), there is a beautiful church across the street from the inn. It would be so easy to have the ceremony and then walk to the reception at the inn.
If I could plan my wedding all over again, I would not have changed a thing. My husband and I were blessed from the moment we met; the wedding was just one more great step in our journey. Everything worked together perfectly, and I owe a big thanks to The Cornwall Inn!
At our first visit we knew this was the place for us. The Inn showed beautifully inside and out, we had our choice of a tent reception or ballroom. We chose to have our ceremony onsite, cocktail hour in the carriage house and our reception was in the ballroom. The food was outstanding and we had tons of compliments on the food and venue. Richelle was there for us from our first meeting until the end of our reception. She exceeded all of our expectations. If you're looking for a beautiful place with exceptional service look no further.
Cornwall Inn is a gorgeous building and grounds for almost any occasion. The staff were excellent in helping to plan and execute a stress free wedding. There are unlimited locations for stunning pictures both inside and outside. I would highly recommend checking out the Cornwall Inn for any size function.
