The Dillard House

This was an awful experience for us. When we made an appointment to come meet with someone from the venue, we were told to come at a certain time to meet someone named Andria, but got an email(2 hours into our 3.5 hour drive) from her saying she was too busy and we needed to come sooner. This was after I communicated to her and two other people in the office of how far we were driving to meet them. When we got there, we met with a guy named Andrew who couldn't answer half of the questions we had because he "didn't do weddings, but specialized in corporate events". Our suite we requested for our wedding night was booked incorrectly, and we lost the room we wanted because they filled up. They kept passing me off to different people, none of whom had consistent information from the previous person I spoke with. The staff didn't really seem to care about getting the details correct since I had to consistently correct them after we clearly stated what we wanted before hand.It is almost impossible to get anyone to call you back about booking details. I set aside time for someone to call me about booking food for our wedding three times. I had three family members tell me that they called to book rooms that were reserved for our contract and each of them said their phone calls were never returned. The staff were clearly never on the same page as they were constantly giving inconsistent information. There were MANY more inconveniences that I could list, but I don't think there's enough room in this space. When I called to express my frustration, I was actually told by the person who was assigned to work with me that I "didn't get how busy" she was and when I asked for someone who could help me, I was scolded like a child and hung up on. Apparently, the person over this department (Natalie Dillard) found that this was acceptable behavior and never offered any type of recompense except she felt we "would be happier having our wedding somewhere else". To which I gladly agreed. There is a reason why the venue rental is so cheap; you get what you pay for.
