The Duke Mansion was the highlight of our wedding planning experience. From start to finish, they excelled in their customer service and wedding planning process. They went above and beyond to ensure our wedding weekend was perfect and were supportive on both a personal and professional level every step of the way. We had to move our wedding due to COVID-19 and they made changing the date stress free. I cannot emphasize how much we loved our experience with them. A very special shout out to Brittney for all of her help and making everything wonderful for us. Thank you!!
We held our daughter's wedding at the Duke Mansion last weekend. Every aspect of the wedding weekend was perfect. The facility was gorgeous, with the gardens in full bloom creating the perfect backdrop for photos. Staying on site with the wedding party and close family allowed generous time to relax and enjoy the weekend. The wedding food was the best we have tasted and each staff encounter was meet with graciousness and desire to make our stay remarkable. Savanah, our event planner, was on top of everything throughout the planning process allowing us to leave things in the staff's competent hands. We cannot recommend Duke Mansion enough for your wedding or special event.
The Duke Mansion was a fantastic choice for our wedding ceremony and party and we highly recommend it as a wedding venue! From the great staff (including Ginnie Little, the Social Conference Services Manager, who managed our wedding) to the beautiful grounds and delicious food, the Duke Mansion was the perfect place for our wedding. Additionally, having 20 guest rooms on site was incredibly beneficial for our family and close friends who were able to be near us during all of the festivities. The Duke Mansion staff were very helpful and communicative throughout the entire process and it made our big day seamless when it finally arrived!
We LOVED our wedding venue! Not only was the Duke Mansion incredibly beautiful and expert at putting on weddings, it also was one-stop shopping for our events which we loved. With it also being a B&B, we were able to take over the mansion for our bridal party and families to stay all together, host the rehearsal, and of course the outdoor wedding, reception, and dancing! The bridal suite, gardens, and porches are all beyond beautiful and our guests were wowed! The food was wonderful and the chef was amazing to work with.
A few notes to be aware of:
- Grand Tasting: you will likely not be able to taste the food before you book unless you pay, also the grand tasting does not have all food samples so we'd recommend just paying and going when it suits your timeline.
- Food: you also can only pick one starch/veggie no matter which entrees you choose
- Some small things may come up and the Duke, having tons of weddings and being a premier location, does tend to have more strict rules and may not be as flexible as you'd like - ask questions up front if you have any specific wants/dreams
I had my bridal portraits taken at Duke Mansion in April. It was an absolutely stunning venue to have my pictures taken. I worked with Cinthya in setting this up. She was responsive, helpful and informative.
We did look at the Duke Mansion for a wedding venue. Although it would be a beautiful spot to have a wedding, as a host you are required to fill all of the rooms (I don't remember how many, maybe 20 or so). If you don't fill them all you are responsible for paying for those unused rooms. We couldn't guarantee our guests would book there and we didn't want to be stuck with this cost. You can also only have 150 guests- this wouldn't have been an issue for us but obviously would be if you have a larger guest count.
Not even sure where to start... everything about our experience with the Duke Mansion was great. Everything about our day was beautiful on the backdrop that the Duke Mansion provides. Our coordinator Laura was beyond helpful and a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process! The service we received during our event was awesome. In addition to the service, we loved being able to stay onsite for the wedding weekend. It was a great way to spend some more time with guest who were staying there as well. When we booked our date, I'm not sure that we realized just how lovely our event could be. I couldn't be happier with the decision we made to host our reception here. I would recommend the Duke Mansion to anyone considering having their wedding here!!
We hosted our ceremony and reception at the Duke Mansion, and it was the perfect night for us, in large part due to the efforts of the DM Staff. They are wonderful to work with - accommodating and helpful throughout the entire planning process and event. And they truly care about making your day special. They provided so many useful suggestions that really helped us plan our perfect wedding. The space is amazing, too. It provided for a very intimate and romantic wedding. The entire night exceeded our expectations.
Absolutely loved the Duke Mansion. I coordinated with Laura for over a year to make our wedding run smoothly and be as beautiful as possible. They were a joy to work with. The Duke Mansion speaks for itself as just a beautiful breathtaking venue and ALL of our family and friends that stayed there for the weekend just loved it.
I had the pleasure of working with Laura Stump for my bridesmaid luncheon. We met about a month before the event and sat down and finalized all the details for the day. On the day of the bridesmaid luncheon her and an assistant had everything already set and ready to go. The venue is so beautiful! I even had my bridal portrait there. Great place for any event!
My Mom hosted my bridesmaid luncheon in the Library and it was a great, intimate environment for that special occasion. We had our own waitress that stayed in our room the entire time- available to help us with any need. Wonderful service!
Stress free and absolutely the best staff to work with! Our entire family stayed at the mansion for the weekend, and it was just the perfect fit for us and our wedding! Gina was absolutely the best and so flexible with us! Thank you!
The Duke Mansion was the perfect venue for our wedding. Not only is it gorgeous, historic, and elegant, but it was perfect for planning a stress free wedding. The coordinator there, Gina, is wonderful to work with and will help you through every step of planning the event there. The food is catered through Duke Mansion and is all absolutely delicious. The chairs and tables and linens are also all rented through the Duke Mansion. It was very easy and stress free to work with this venue and I would recommend it to anyone!
We stayed int he Dowd suite and despite it being a bit too cold to enjoy the porch what a lovely hotel. The service was excellent and you could not beat the price for such a beautiful suite. A truly great couple of escape days following the wedding!
The Duke Mansion was the perfect setting for my bridal tea. The food and beverage was wonderful, the room was beautiful and the staff accommodating. It was absolutely lovely!
I recently had my wedding reception at the Duke Mansion. It was a dream come true. It was so beautiful. Everyone working there was so helpful from beginning to end and truly made my wedding incredible. I would absolutely recommend using the Duke Mansion as your wedding venue!
