The Evergreen

The Evergreen is a perfect wedding venue. My husband and I toured it last and were planning to select a different venue. As soon as we walked in though, I knew it was the place for us. The high ceilings, beautiful floors, and loft immediately brought my wedding vision to life. Loyal Legion as an option for cocktail hour was a major bonus as well. Both Shannon and Yvonne were incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the process. The entire team navigated wedding changes during a pandemic with ease and made it less sad and stressful to have date changes before the big day finally arrived. Anyone getting married in the Portland area, should tour the Evergreen before making a final decision!

We had such a wonderful wedding at The Evergreen in September 2021. It's the most beautiful venue - an industrial backdrop that you can really decorate and make feel as big or small, or any style you like. We loved working with Shannon to design a custom bar menu. The Evergreen worked wonderfully with our wedding planner service, GATHER, and all of our vendors - we had such a great team. The entire day ran so smoothly and The Evergreen made every accommodation we needed to make our perfect day come to reality! Cannot recommend the venue and staff highly enough! Our guests had such a great time! Dream come true!!!

The Evergreen was amazing! They were very responsive throughout the whole wedding process from figuring out our date and setting up tours of the venue to days before making sure that everything would go as we wanted it. We used their in house coordinator, Yvonne, who was amazing and knew exactly what to ask and when to make our day perfect. If I could do it all again I would 1000% choose to do any event at the Evergreen!

Such a great location right in SE Portland. With it's large ceilings and windows all around it is still light and airy. The staff was so great and very helpful through our whole process of having to change dates with COVID. So happy we were finally able to have our wedding

Planning and Re-planning a wedding during the pandemic was extremely stressful and The Evegreen stepped up to the task a providing a great experience nonetheless! They were helpful, flexible, good communicators, and very understanding. During a time when all of those qualities could be easily strained or discarded, the Evergreen came through. Thank you!

The Evergreen was the perfect place to get married! Our guest count was small (under 50) so we had the round tables set up for the ceremony and reception. It worked out great and the amount of space was perfect! Shannon and the rest of the team were amazing, as well! They really bent over backward to make sure we had the perfect day, despite all the complications of having to postpone by a year due to COVID. We really appreciate all of their help and patience. They made the whole process so seamless and they were all so easy to communicate with!

We had a wonderful celebration and experience with The Evergreen! Our original date had to be postponed to this year due to Covid, and Shannon and her team had great communication with us and helped us get to our beautiful day. The venue is an amazing space with so much potential for planning and designing your dream wedding, or any other event you want to have. The team at The Evergreen helped make our day incredible and we are so incredibly thankful to everyone there for making our day amazing <3

My daughter was married at The Evergreen and it was precisely the experience she was hoping for! Shannon was very responsive and helpful and answered all of our questions thoroughly and quickly. The venue itself was beautiful and clean. The list of vendors that were provided were extremely helpful in planning our day.

I can't say enough about The Evergreen as a venue and a group of professionals to work with. They have an incredible team (shout out to Shannon and Yvonne!) who made our decision making and planning process easy through their expertise and reassurance. The venue checks all the boxes and was the perfect fit for our wedding day! We loved the bonus of having the Loyal Legion on the first floor to make cocktail hour easy. And now they've added the underground speak easy, how cool!! Thanks to The Evergreen our wedding went off without a hitch. Truly, every concern I had was surpassed because they have figured out how to meet all needs. Our guests were transfixed by the vibe and beauty of the place!

We could not have been happier with our wedding at The Evergreen! The space was perfect for our 160-person wedding -- it felt intimate, yet there was enough space for people to mingle and dance. What really sets The Evergreen apart is the staff. Shannon was so down-to-earth and insightful as we toured the venue. Yvonne was amazing as the day-of-coordinator. Not only is she incredibly organized and detail oriented, she is just wonderful to be around. I highly recommend The Evergreen for anyone getting married in Portland.

Working with The Evergreen was a wonderful experience! The venue is HUGE and their team knows their stuff! For me, communication is a big aspect of booking all my vendors and The Evergreen knocked it out the park. I was emailing them frequently during the first few days of booking them with tons of questions and Shannon, our point of contact for the venue, was quick to respond with loads of information. Even after our viewing, she was emailing me to thank us for coming and to encourage us to ask her anything we weren't sure on. One of the biggest selling points for us for this venue was that they provided tables and chairs and they had a large guest capacity. Our original guest list was 160 and they were going to be able to accommodate it! (Our final count was only 110) The space is beautiful - industrial elements and modern touches, it really romanticized the large space. There is a mezzanine (great for cocktail hour, bouquet tosses and photos) and a bridal suite that is perfect for signing paperwork and getting dressed in before the first look. The bathrooms are large and they have great selfie mirrors. On the windows there are some plants that really soften the space and the go with absolutely any kind of floral decor. One of my favorite things about the space is the staircase leading up to the mezzanine. I chose to walk down it for the ceremony and it was so romantic, everyone gets a good view of the dress! One thing I would consider is that The Evergreen does have a list of approved caterers so if you're on a specific budget or have a catering company picked already, you may want to review that list before booking to see if any of them are in budget or will meet your needs. Although we absolutely loved who our caterer was (Cheryl's on 12th), we know we could have saved a little cash had we been able to pick a different caterer that wasn't on their list. The Evergreen makes having a bar easy - they have a partnership with the bar below them called Loyal Legion and you can use that space for cocktail hour. We chose to have our bar served from The Evergreen themselves so I can't speak to any experience with Loyal Legion involvement but I still think it's a cool option. Overall our experience was incredible! A large venue, an attentive and communicative staff, amazing accommodations and amenities, and everything/everyone came together to give us the special day we'd been dreaming of!

The space is amazing with the bricks and plants on the windows. We had our dream wedding couple weeks ago and there's no complaints!

The Evergreen and their staff were absolutely amazing, bringing our wedding vision to life! Working with them was a dream, and we continue to receive compliments about everything from the beautiful ceremony and reception space to the cocktail hour at Loyal Legion and the wonderful signature cocktails during the reception. The Evergreen team truly made this day so special for us and we highly recommend the space to everyone, especially our friends, whose weddings we'd love to attend at this amazing venue!

We were so happy we picked the Evergreen as our wedding venue. The space is so pretty that it doesn't require a lot of decoration. I loved having the bridal suite on the mezzanine; the walk down the stairs to the altar was so special. For us, Loyal Legion was a huge plus--it was one of the main reasons we picked the Evergreen, and our guests had a great time at our cocktail hour. The staff were always quick to respond to our questions and helpful; we used their expertise as we were making final decisions about the ceremony and timeline. We'd absolutely choose the Evergreen all over again.

Shannon & Yvonne helped us plan the event and did wonderful - they were both easy to work with and understood what we wanted. Shannon was our day of coordinator and she really did an amazing job ensure things went seamlessly in the background. The Evergreen as a space kind of speaks for itself. It's a gorgeous venue and in a perfect location. The fact that they partner with Loyal Legion for cocktail hour if you want is a huge perk too - we had our cocktail hour downstairs and it was a blast. Thank you Shannon & Yvonne, we had so an amazing day and we really appreciate all that went into it!

The evergreen is gorgeous! I held my wedding there in November 2018. It is so well designed and comes with all the greenery on the windowsills you hardly have to decorate!

We absolutely loved this space and working with Shannon and Yvonne. I cannot say enough about how perfect and beautiful the space is. My husband and I wanted 3 things: Great food, great booze, great dance party, and we got them! We didn't want to spend a lot of money on 'extras' and this space doesn't need much at all. the exposed brick and sunlight beaming in was stunning. We had about 80 people and we knew we wanted it inside (who really likes to sweat their butt off during the ceremony- no thanks). Yvonne was our main POC and she was on top of everything and even had great recommendations for 3rd party vendors. Ceremony was downstairs and cocktail hour was upstairs. Then dinner/dancing moved back to the main space. Also, it is perfect that there is one of the better bars in Portland (Loyal Legion) for everyone to end up late night. I did my research on Portland locations and The Evergreen is absolutely the BEST space and reasonably prices. Thanks again Evergreen team!

I am so happy we chose The Evergreen for our wedding venue. Not only was it beautiful, and the perfect combination of vintage and modern, but the team there was a pleasure to work with. Shannon & Yvonne went above and beyond to make sure all of our questions were answered in a timely manner and were extremely accommodating when scheduling walk-throughs and coordinating with outside vendors. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for an urban and unique location for their wedding (or any other event!) in inner-PDX.

We came across this venue after we had already put down a deposit for another. It was a no brainer. It's an ideal room for a wedding. We had about 115 guests and I'd say that's about perfect for this sized room. Many more would be hard to handle. We haven't gotten our pictures back but it was an extremely photogenic place so I imagine they will be great. Our point of contact at the Evergreen was Yvonne. We found her very easy to work with, responsive, and fair. Having the Loyal Legion at ground level was a nice perk.

Fabulous venue! The bar service was excellent. It was exactly what we had envisioned. Affordable/able to work within a budget.
