The place is gorgeous and the staff was amazing. Dawn, the wedding planner there was the best ever to work with from picking the venue right through the wedding. In a year of uncertainty about if we would even be able to have our wedding the way we wanted, I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to work with me. She was available to answer questions all the time. She was so helpful all weekend.

I cannot say enough good things about the Fort William Henry Hotel. Dawn, the wedding coordinator, was amazing at helping us plan the wedding, staying in touch during the planning process (we live out of town), and keeping us calm the day-of! She was the best and the rest of her staff were amazing too. The moment we arrived at the hotel, everyone greeted us and congratulated us and seemed just as happy for us as our actual friends and family. The day-of, the all told me how beautiful I looked and said they had watched the ceremony from afar and were crying! Then the next day, they all congratulated us again – it felt like it was a small, close-knit staff and they made us feel so welcome. They were also great about clean-up after the wedding, as I had no idea that we were supposed to take everything away that night. Dawn and Kim were kind enough to let us keep some decor in their offices overnight so that we could coordinate bringing it all home in the morning. After all of this, they mailed my mom some of the clothes she had left in a dresser! From the planning process to the day-of, the staff of the Fort William Henry Hotel went above and beyond to make our day special. P.S. It's also in a beautiful location with a gorgeous view of Lake George!

Give this location a serious look for your wedding venue!! Dawn was a great help with all the details before, during, and after the ceremony! We always knew what we needed to do. The food was delicious! The appetizers were displayed lovely an all that I tasted were great: oyster Rockefeller, melted Bree and crackers, meatballs awesome, as were the cheese platter and fresh fruit! Myself and 2 bridesmaids were sharing a room and we were mistakenly assigned a handicapped room that had a tub that I was not going to be able to climb into and we were immediately moved to an appropriate room!! It was my daughter’s perfect wedding! The view can’t be beat either.

You will not find a more perfect wedding venue and to be right on Lake George and be affordable, is amazing! The grounds were beautifully landscaped for the outside ceremony. The inside ballroom is regal and surrounded by windows overlooking the lake. Mike Ryan, the food and beverage manager, made sure that we all had our favorite drinks and the food was 5 star! The event manager, Dawn Bennett, was a pleasure to work with through all of the planning and during the wedding, she made sure everything went smoothly taking all of the stress off the bride and groom. We have receive many compliments from the guests. I would highly recommend the Fort William Henry for any event and it is a beautiful site all four seasons!

Three years ago, we were at our best friends’ wedding at Fort William Henry - I was a bridesmaid, and my now husband, Stephen, was the best man. Both of us were single at the time and went with the intention of focusing on the bride and groom while also having a good time. We first met on the veranda before the rehearsal dinner, then danced the night away at the wedding. When Stephen proposed, we knew exactly where we wanted to get married. Fort William Henry was the only venue we had on our list and it was just as great for our wedding as it was for our best friends! Dawn communicated with us throughout the entire process and helped us make our wedding perfect. The food tasting really helped us figure out what we wanted the day of the wedding with a massive selection to be able to try a lot of their dishes. We had a guest who had a lot of different food allergies and their staff was able to accommodate all of her needs to make sure that she could enjoy the wedding as well. Everything came together seamlessly thanks to the hard work of everyone there. The wedding turned out beautiful and perfectly the way we wanted!

There aren’t enough words to describe how amazing Dawn and her team are. From start to finish, our wedding weekend was nothing short of amazing at the FWHH. My husband and I are from Queens and we had A LOT of ceremony and reception decor/items to bring up to LG so we drove up a few times a few weeks before the wedding and Dawn kept everything in her office for us. She is so calm and easygoing and never made anything a big deal. She made us feel so good and worry free about EVERYTHING! (Even when it was so hot that we had to move our welcome party from outside to inside and move the ceremony site over a few feet so our guests would be in the shade.) All the decor I brought was set up exactly how I wanted and Dawn and her team made everything look AMAZING. They even packed up everything neatly and organized at the end of the night. Right after the ceremony, there was an attendant waiting with a tray of drinks for us and the bridal party, they were very attentive and throughout the entire night the staff made sure we had everything we needed. The food was AMAZING, we got nothing but compliments about how great it was. Do not think twice about having your wedding at the FWHH, you will be in the BEST hands.

Dawn and her staff were wonderful! Easy to work with, and extremely professional and detail oriented. The food was AMAZING. The reception was in their beautiful White Lion Restaurant- full window views of the lake and mountains, and beautiful historical moldings! It was the perfect spot for our wedding reception! We also had use of the outdoor space and fire pit which provided a nice quiet space to hang out at the end of the night. A++!!

We cannot say enough about Dawn and all the people at FWH. They helped us plan a wedding in under 8 weeks, that turned out better than we could have imagined. They made everything leading up to the day so easy and the day of was just a dream. Everything went so smoothly, if there were any issues Marie and Dawn did a great job of taking care of them before I ever knew. The venue and view were picture perfect and the food and service was wonderful, all our guests kept commenting on it! They made it possible to sit back and relax on our wedding day and enjoy it all. We are so thankful and would recommend them to anyone!

We were both blown away by our experience at Fort William Henry (“FWH”). We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception all at the FWH and everything went better than we could have ever imagined. Dawn Bennett was the hotel provided wedding coordinator and working with her could not have gone smoother. It’s rare to find someone who can be organized and take charge when needed, while also being so calm, easy going and accommodating. She was an absolute pleasure to work with, and took care of everything, big and small, allowing us to just enjoy the day. Not only was Dawn great, but the entire staff throughout the weekend kept impressing us with their customer service. Everyone went above and beyond what we would have expected. Several members of our family and friends even commented on how that was some of the best service they’ve EVER gotten. The staff ensured that we optimized our time with our guests, while still taking the time for ourselves to enjoy everything that was going on around us. We also had some special requests for our wedding that they were able to accommodate. We’re from Saratoga and have been to Lake George several times, and we were still very impressed with the views (both indoors and outdoors) from the FWH. Being up on the hill you have a great view of the water and mountain background and feel like you have it all to yourselves, allowing for great photos and atmosphere. We would highly recommend the FWH to anyone looking at Lake George weddings. They have a great system down.

Fort William Henry is the absolute best wedding venue ever. The venue and property is absolutely beautiful Dawn and her staff are so caring and helpful, they really know how to make your day run flawlessly. From start to finish our wedding ran perfectly. All of our guest keep talking about how great everything went and how amazing the food was. My husband and I couldn't be happier with everything. We are very grateful to Dawn and her staff for everything they did to make our day perfect. It truly was the best day ever.

My husband and I have families spread out around the country, but we knew we wanted to get married in Upstate NY, where we both have roots. My family visited Lake George when I was a kid, and I thought it'd be a great destination for a Labor Day weekend wedding. Fort William Henry was a great choice because they have EVERYTHING! We didn't have to worry about finding an outside caterer, day-of coordinator, bartenders, etc. The quality of the service is amazing. I really feel like we got a lot of bang for our buck. Dawn made the planning process SUPER easy. She was very receptive to emails, held a rehearsal for us the day before (even though she had another wedding happening), checked in on me wedding morning, and coordinated us through the ceremony. Marie and other catering staff were incredible. They made sure my husband and I got to taste all of the appetizers, and kept our drink glasses full the entire night. Everyone said that the food and service were amazing, and I agree! My downsides: The dance floor is a little small, but it worked for our 100 person wedding. The hotel rooms were expensive, but luckily there are plenty of places to stay in town. Even with those downsides, this was the most beautiful wedding venue, and I would choose it again.

Absolutely wonderful venue. The ballroom was beautiful. Best food I've ever had at a wedding. Dawn was incredible and coordinated everything perfectly.

Amazing venue, beautiful views, the best staff you will ever meet. Everyone at the resort was so welcoming and catered to us in every way possible. I am so happy I choose to be married and have my reception here!!

Fort William Henry Hotel and Conference Center was the perfect spot for our wedding. The staff and scenery were exceptional. Not only did we enjoy, but our guests are still raving about our celebration! Dawn and staff were willing to go above and beyond to meet all our needs. Our wedding day was more than we ever dreamed of!

If you are looking to have a wedding in Lake George, FWH needs to be an option. The best thing, Dawn. Dawn is the wedding coordinator who will make your vision come true! She is thorough and meticulous and will guide you through one of the best days of your life! Myself and my family are so thankful for her! The venue in itself is great. The White Lion Room held my reception and it was beautiful. The outside area is perfect for guests to mill about all night if they choose. The food was delicious. I heard compliments all night about the food! You and your guests can all stay in one location which is not only convenient but smart. I loved Fort William Henry. The staff, venue, food... all lived up to our expectations.

When we got engaged we knew right away that Fort William Henry was where we wanted to have our special day. We planned a long engagement (2 years) knowing we would need some extra time to plan a wedding 3.5 hours from home. Dawn Bennett and her team were nothing less than amazing. Marie was our server for the tasting and for the reception and was such a great person to take care of us. The White Lion Room looked amazing and it was so great to have the Tankard Tavern and the deck outside for people to pull away from the party for a breath of fresh air. We had our ceremony outside on the lawn overlooking the lake with the foliage of the Adirondacks in the background. It was breathtaking. The food was excellent. We had selected the platinum package for our wedding and the amount of food was perfect. We heard from so many of our guests how much they loved the spread during cocktail hour and that they were actually full after dinner! There is one thing that stood out above the great servers, wonderful bartender, and beautiful venue; Dawn Bennett. She went above and beyond for us. Being 3.5 hours away was not easy. She was so great to help make this process go so smoothly for us. Fort William Henry was such a great choice for us. Many times over the week after our wedding we heard our guests raving about how this was the best wedding they have ever been to. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our wedding day such a memorable experience for us and the other 113 crazy Bostonian's.

The staff is friendly, the rooms and the view are gorgeous and our guests had an amazing time. Marie was our server all night and she really stayed on top of things and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend using the Fort for your wedding or any special function. FANTASTIC!!

My husband and I used the Fort William Henry Hotel in Lake George for our reception, and we loved it. We got a great deal because we got married on a Friday, so we were offered the Gold Package at the Bronze Package price. They decorated the room exactly as we wanted, and set up everything well before everyone got there. The food was outstanding! Everyone we invited loved all their meals. I would highly recommend the Fort to anyone else!

My wedding reception at Fort William Henry was amazing. Dawn, the wedding coordinator, was fabulous. She was attentive and helpful tying up any loose ends. For the cocktail hour we had a musician set up on the deck and our guests were able to relax outside listening to music, playing corn hole and shuffle board. The food was delicious and the reception was incredible.

The staff is wonderful, absolutely wonderful to work with. Questions were quickly and efficiently answered. The setting on the tree deck for both my rehearsal dinner and wedding breakfast was stunning. Guests were treated to not only wonderful food and drinks but a million dollar view of Lake George and the Adirondacks. A hidden gem and somewhere I highly recommend for anyone looking for not only value and great service but picture perfect views.

The location was perfect and their was lots to do there and within walking distance. I set up a group rate which had a lot of price options for guests. We got married on the boat behind the hotel and our guests just walked to the wedding. My mother-in-law hosted a breakfast at the hotel the next day and it was great.

We had our wedding at the Fort William Henry Resort in Lake George, NY. Roberta is the woman to deal with when planning your wedding, and she is absolutely incredible. She understands what it is like to plan weddings and wants it to be the most stress free experience possible. The resort is beautiful, the grounds are beautiful, and the view of the lake is beautiful. Everything about the hotel is gorgeous, except that the rooms are outdated- with a nice renovation it will be the best place in Central NY! We got married in September and the leaves and the colors were gorgeous. I highly recommend FWH!

We held our ceremony and our reception at the Fort William Henry Resort & Conference Center. From day one when we met with our coordinator, Roberta Daab, we knew we were meant to have our wedding there. She is top of the line and knows her stuff inside and out. She helped us stay on track and everything went off without a hitch. I highly recommend the Fort for any celebration!!! The staff that took care of us on the day of our event was just as wonderful and attentive. Definitely a first class establishment and the price was right.

My guests loved staying here. It was an entertaining stay for those who got to stay longer, too!

If you do business with this place i think you are nuts. I could not believe it was a no answer to just about everything. These people do not seem to want your business at all. I asked if guests could check in early? No. I asked about room blocks? Yes, but if it isn't fulfilled they would hold the bride and groom responsible for the difference. Wouldn't even let me check in early so i could get into my dress. I refused to do business with people like that. Great location, but poor attitudes. If i could give a 0 i would.

We blocked off a set of rooms here. Went out of their way to help when the groom forgot to book rooms for his groomsmen!
