We had our wedding here in May 2021, and everything went great! Karen was a pleasure to work with! She was very responsive, and always answered all my questions! Even with special request for COVID precautions, she did a great job accommodating. I would definitely recommend Gale Mansion for your next wedding or other special event. Staff onsite the day of were all wonderful as well!

The Gale Mansion truly is a one of a kind venue to marry the person of your dreams at! It is absolutely stunning, unique and extremely accommodating to meet your dreams on your special day! Jessie, the Director of Catering and Events, truly is the reason that I was able to feel comfortable and have the best wedding day I could have ever dreamed of. She was extremely professional, always punctual and truly is an amazing individual inside and out - her personality speaks volumes. Jessie and staff ensured all decorations were set up to my liking, guests were directed accordingly and even packed up supplies at the end of the night. The catering staff accommodated requests I made to the menu and ensured the food was hot and delicious for my guests to enjoy! Truly, the Gale Mansion was more than I could have hoped for and will truly be a place that will meet your wedding dreams!

We had such a wonderful experience working with Gale Mansion for our wedding venue! We did the whole day at Gale - getting ready, ceremony, and reception. The Gale staff were extremely helpful, kind, and easy to work with throughout the whole process. Karen did a great job coordinating our wedding on the day-of, making sure everything was going smoothly and guiding us through each part of the day according to our timeline. We LOVE that the Gale is an "all in one" venue - they did the food, cake, drinks, and day-of coordination, as well as being a gorgeous venue for ceremony and reception. This saved us a lot of stress finding other vendors!! The outdoor ceremony was GORGEOUS and the ballroom looked amazing for the reception. We love that they were able to take down our decorations for us at the end of the night for our families to pick up the next day! It was also a great value for the cost. We can't recommend Gale highly enough - save yourself some stress and go with Gale!!

I had my wedding at Gale Mansion and I am SO happy we went with it. The inside is beautiful, the outside gorgeous. The director of catering, office manager and staff were such a pleasure to work with and on top of their game. The food was INCREDIBLE as well. All our guests were fed with top notch meals. Thank you Chef! All in all, there's nothing about the mansion I would have changed. Thank you for housing the most beautiful day I have ever seen.

The Gale Mansion is fantastic!! We were so blessed to work with Jessie and her amazing staff. Jessie made sure everything was perfect the day of. She coordinated everything and made everything stress free. They were so easy to work with on timing and making sure everything went the way we wanted. They set up and decor and tore everything down for us the day of and the night of the wedding. After our honeymoon we just picked up the rest of the stuff we left behind. We got so many compliments on how amazing the food was! I was so thankful they were able to make food and the cake specific to dietary restrictions. This place is absolutely amazing!

Having our wedding and reception at Gale Mansion was one of the best decisions we could have made! The on sight coordinator Jessie and her assistant Robin were both amazing to work with. They made our planning as stress free as possible and they made sure our vision was executed perfectly. Many of our guests commented on the beauty of the venue, how great the food and dessert tasted and the professionalism of the staff. Our guests also enjoyed the valet parking offered by the venue.

I highly recommend The Gale Mansion! We had our ceremony and reception there and everything was better than I imagined. Jessie is your main contact and she is so on top of things! Robin is the other person you will work with on site and she is also incredible. Everything was so easy once we had our decisions made. When we went in for rehearsal, Jessie had us drop off all of our decorations and I gave her directions on how I wanted things set up. Everything was EXACTLY the way I wanted it when we came in the day of for the wedding. The food was great and our cake was AMAZING. We had a plated meal and servers were included in pricing. That was probably the best thing about Gale - everything is INCLUDED. We didn't have to find a caterer, rent linens or chairs, and we didn't have to hire a day-of coordinator. Between that and their connections with local vendors, everything was seamless. Hardly anything went "wrong" and the things that did were no big deal, just slightly different timing. Jessie was so flexible with us and was genuinely interested in hearing our vision and invested in making us happy. Seriously, go with Gale!!!

We held both our ceremony and reception at Gale Mansion, and it was truly the best experience -- and day -- we could have imagined! Gale Mansion's staff is on top of things while also being upbeat, easygoing and calm. Any anxiety we had about planning such a large event quickly dissipated when we started working with them. Jessie expertly guided us through the process, provided us with planning documents that helped us make our dream wedding a reality, and was there to ensure that everything went as we had hoped on our big day. We and our guests felt so welcome in this beautiful space. Its elegance meant our photos turned out wonderfully. The food itself is something to rave about (we are talking your-favorite-restaurant level cuisine). And, finally, they quickly moved the whole wedding inside with just hours before the ceremony when the weather turned too cold to hold outdoors. We could not have asked for a better venue or group of people to work with and cannot say enough good things about them.

Jessie & her team did an amazing job! From our first tour to our wedding day, we were very impressed with the service. We have gotten several compliments about the mansion and the food served at our wedding. For all the services we received the cost was very reasonable.

The venue, food, and staff were amazing! Everything was reasonably priced and well within our budget. The mansion is beautiful and well maintained. Our guests had so much fun exploring the different rooms! Jessie and Robyn were absolutely amazing in helping to ensure our day went according to plan. We handed Robyn a box of decorations and flowers and she took care of the rest. Jessie is very bubbly and fun to work with, she was in contact with us the whole time during the planning process and on the day of, handled all the minor details and timeline for the day. The wait staff and bartender were very professional and pleasant. Our guests loved the food! We did a tasting about 4 months in advance at the venue and met with the staff and chef. From the initial venue visit, to meal planning, to coordinating a timeline with Jessie, to the actual wedding day, everything was extremely stress free!

We were married at the Gale Mansion in June of 2017, and it was absolutely amazing! The staff (especially Jessie!) were so helpful and fun - which is great when they are spending your big day with you! The food was fantastic. I highly recommend the walleye (which our guests are still talking about over a year later) - it was prepared perfectly, which is a feat for 150 people. We also did the pies on a stick for desert - which sadly I was too busy rocking it on the dance floor to have one, but I know that our guests devoured them and I thought they were amazing at the tasting. We also ordered a mixtures of sandwiches and other snacks for lunch - and they were SO GOOD. I hadn't expected to be impressed by the lunch, but wow we all definitely were! In terms of logistics, it was very helpful that we were able to leave things locked up there until Monday morning (like extra decorations, not anything of monetary value) - and we were able to lock up gifts in the office during the event. A lot of venues we looked at in Minneapolis wanted you to put things in the car (or generally remove them) from the venue before dinner, which I found to be incredibly inconvenient and risky for potential downtown car theft. Both the men and women loved getting ready at the mansion. It's such a beautiful space to be in. We had a long cocktail hour where people were both indoors (we had a brass band set up in the library alcove - see my review on Southside Aces!) and outside, where we had lawn games set up. It was a very comfortable and easy flow for our guests. Our wedding turned out exactly as we had hoped it would, and if we had it to do all over, we would definitely choose Gale Mansion again.

The Gale Mansion was a dream venue for our wedding. We wanted something with it's own character and history, and this space comes with that and plenty more. Not only is the building beautiful (including the bridal suite, bathrooms, and ballroom), but the staff are amazing! Our catering manager worked through every detail with us and went above and beyond our expectations to make every minute of the day perfect and every step of the planning process easy. Also, the food was delicious! Five stars to everything the mansion has to offer. Thank you for helping us create a perfect wedding day!

We got married on Nov 4th 2017 and I cannot express in words how blown away I was by this venue! I cannot rave more about Jessie the coordinator or this gorgeous space! Literally everything was effortless and easy to plan. Food is a huge thing for me with weddings and I can promise you that their chef will blow you away! From the ambiance, the amazing staff, the great (seriously AMAZING) food, awesome bar selection, and the topper on the cake Jessie I could not have lucked out more with my wedding. It was the best night of my life. I owe it all to this venue and it's staff!! We love you Jessie!!! Thank you!!!

I don't even know if I can fit everything I loved about our experience with The Gale Mansion in this review! If I could give more than five stars, I would. As soon as my husband and I toured the venue, we knew it was the place we wanted to tie the knot. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, inside and out. One of the things that appealed to us most about the venue was the fact that we could have our entire wedding - ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception - in different spaces at the same location. In addition to this, the staff is AMAZING! I cannot express how much I enjoyed working with Jessie! As the bride, it was difficult for me to give up control of any part of the wedding planning process. However, from the moment I met Jessie, I was totally confident that she understood and would execute the vision we had for our wedding flawlessly - and she went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect day. She was so easy to communicate with and I had total confidence that every detail that was in Jessie's hands would be taken care of. She was there all day to keep things on schedule and there was no stress on our end about logistics on our wedding day! Also, the food (which is all prepared in-house) was awesome! We received tons of compliments about how delicious it was. I cannot express how grateful we are to all of the staff at The Gale Mansion - the servers, bartenders, security, and all the behind-the-scenes workers were so kind and accommodating. Jessie and the staff at the Gale Mansion are absolutely fantastic! As a catering director myself, I knew I would be exceptionally particular in how our wedding was handled and executed. Jessie had all of our details covered and became someone I explicitly trusted throughout the planning process. She was willing to help with any and every need. Our food service was great! We received many compliments on the meal, and the venue has timeless elegance. We are so thrilled with our choice to have both the ceremony and reception at the Gale Mansion, and would recommend their services to anyone!

Gale Mansion was absolutely amazing; it's stunning which is helpful in not requiring a ton of decorations which is awesome for people on a budget. Weddings are so expensive and Gale allowed us to stay within a humble budget. Jessie was absolutely amazing- she is experienced but lets you make the choices; she has great vision and really brought it all together. It turned out so beautiful and the bridal suite is THE BEST. Guests loved to be there and loved the food. So happy we were able to say I Do and this venue.

My husband and I fell in love with the Gale Mansion immediately upon touring it. We loved the look and feel and the intimacy of the place. It was the perfect size for our 100 person wedding. Amy and Jessie helped plan our day to be flawless. We loved that so much was encompassed in the venue - we didn't have to think about rentals, caterers, decorations, planners. That was covered by the location. I was very pleased to taste our food - everything was super delicious! We were really excited to offer a seated meal and thought all the food was wonderful - especially the vegan option (which was a delicious portabella mushroom dish). All in all we were so impressed and pleased with the Gale mansion, we wholly would recommend them to anyone looking to have a wonderful wedding in Minneapolis.

The venue is absolutely beautiful and the staff was so helpful & professional. Everything came together so nicely, we could not have asked for a better venue to have our wedding. A great location just outside of Minneapolis with a beautiful lawn (in August at least). Highly recommend!

I was married September 17, 2016 at the Gale Mansion; it was the best night of my life which is exactly how your wedding night should be. A few factors played into the night being flawless: the mansion was beautiful, the guests were fun, my husband was perfect but most importantly the Gale Mansion team, specifically Amy and Jessie, ensured everything went smoothly. There are so many small details you have to think about when you plan your wedding, worrying about the team behind your venue should not be one of them. Between checking in on us getting ready, bringing appetizers after the ceremony and ushering us to keep on schedule, the ladies make our night a success. They are experienced, honest and fun which I don't think you can ask for more in a venue or a team behind it.

Jessie and Amy were both great to work with; they made everything go smoothly. They have great, calming personalities, which was awesome to help keep our stress levels low. The Mansion itself it beautiful and made for a perfect location for getting ready, pictures, and the reception.

The Gale Mansion is an amazing venue for your wedding and reception. While I only had my reception at the Gale, the service of the staff there was amazing. I couldn't have asked for a more accommodating pair in Jesse and Amy Beth. They were helpful through out the whole planning process and made the process that much easier. In the days leading up to the wedding, all I had to do was drop off my décor with instructions and they put it all together for me! Besides the staff, the ambiance of the mansion is romantic and classic, giving your whole event a unique vibe. I was very impressed by how well this historic mansion has been maintained and by the updates that have been done to accommodate modern standards. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! The space and staff were awesome.

My husband and I got married at the Gale Mansion in July 2016. It was such a wonderful experience! For one, the mansion it's self is stunning but the staff went above and beyond. From the planning sessions leading up to the wedding day, Amy was very organized and fun to work with. The waiters/waitresses, bar staff, kitchen, everyone did a phenomenal job. The guests loved the food and the flow of the night was smooth. I truly got to enjoy our wedding knowing that Amy and staff had everything under control. I would highly recommend the Gale Mansion!

We loved having our wedding at the Gale Mansion. We were able to have our ceremony and reception there, and it worked perfectly. Guests were able to roam about the house and the lawn during the cocktail hour while the reception hall was changed over from ceremony to dinner. Our guests gave us lots of compliments on the food. The hors d'oeuvres were raved about. Everyone enjoyed their dinner and their cake (some people at multiple pieces), and our guests also enjoyed their late-night snack of pizza. All the food was wonderful - I just wish I could say I got to try it all! Amy and Jessie are wonderful to work with. They are so patient and accommodating it made the planning go by as stress free as it could have been, and the day of went off without a hitch. We couldn't have done it without them. Overall, I would definitely recommend the Gale Mansion to someone looking for an all-inclusive wedding venue for a ceremony and reception. It's a wonderful place, and it fit into our budget perfectly.

Everything was wonderful - Jessie is a ray of sunshine and she made everything easier. Both Jessie and Amy are very responsive, accommodating, and helpful. The mansion is beautiful and we loved that it was a one-stop shop for so many aspects of the day!

Such a great team! In spite of a staff change shortly before my wedding Amy and Jessie made a point to ensure that everything was smooth and checked in with me often. They even offered me the bonus of complimentary pipe and drape from a style shoot they had done the day before. Which was so unexpected and so generous! They were wonderful in assisting pulling down our florists arbor for us and checking in with us afterwords as well. I would and still do recommend this gorgeous mansion for any future couples in search of a venue!

Our October 2015 wedding day was the best day of our lives! The whole planning process, rehearsal and wedding day went as smoothly as I could have ever hoped. I didn’t have to worry about a single thing on the day itself—except for not tripping down the aisle, of course! Amy and Amy Beth were very quick to respond to any questions we had and helped us plan our day every step of the way—in 3 months, no less! The short timeline was no issue at all. The Mansion is GORGEOUS, the food was wonderful and the staff was great. If you love "Old World Charm", and you are looking for more of an all-inclusive experience, Gale Mansion would be a great option for you.

From the first tour to the shuttle home after the reception, the staff at the Gale Mansion made it their goal to be as accommodating and professional as possible. They were great about communicating, keeping in touch and answering our questions through the whole planning process and executed our plans the day of the wedding flawlessly and smoothly! Our guests raved about the food, service, and flow of the evening even weeks afterward. The price is the best out there for what you get and we couldn't be more grateful!

My husband and I could not have found a better venue for our wedding. Amy Beth and Amy Leh worked with us to create a wedding package that fit our budget and our personalities. How many venues allow Nerf Guns, board games, and video games? The staff were friendly and professional, the food was phenomenal, and the atmosphere was perfect. You will be hard pressed to find a venue like this.

I found the Gale through the knot and researched them and read nothing but amazing reviews. I am so glad I chose the Gale for our wedding ceremony and reception location. They made the planning process so easy for us and we are catered to our needs, as we were from out of state. They really know what they are doing over there and have the best suggestions. Our wedding was just fabulous and that's all because the Gale took such good care of us. I also used several vendors, DJ and make up that I found on their website. The food was fabulous too, we had so many guests telling us how wonderful the food was! If you love old architecture and charm you will love the mansion, the rooms are stunning, I hardly needed that many decorations. I would use them again in a heart beat.

The Gale Mansion was a beautiful and elegant venue for our wedding. We had a perfect wedding and a perfect day at the mansion. Unfortunately, the only downside of our day was the two Amy wedding coordinators. They know how to get the timeline and the day done and run smoothly, but they were very unfriendly the whole day to everyone in our wedding party. They were rude and act like they hate their jobs, I didn't understand how they could act like that to someone and their familes on their wedding day. I really didn't want to write anything bad because of how gorgeous and what a perfect day our wedding was, but that stood out to many people through out the day and the rehearsal the night before.

Gale Mansion is a truly beautiful place. It is full of history and impeccably restored. Amy Beth and Amy Leh are the most wonderful people and are truly gifted in organizing and running a wedding day. They are the friendliest people who really care about your day and your experience with them. The cater to your every need and see to every possible detail. We had a totally stress-free and fun day because of Amy Beth, Amy, and the rest of the staff. The food was scrumptious, the attention to detail was mind boggling, and the service was amazing. I highly recommend this location to any bride who is looking forward to a unique and fun ceremony and reception space. You will not regret booking this venue. My husband and I just got married a week ago and I cannot wait to see the pictures taken here! I cannot say enough about this venue and the staff. They made our day incredible!!! Living in California and getting married in Minneapolis (my husband's home city) proved to be very challenging. I did all my research online months prior to our visit. Luckily, I was pretty sure I wanted a historical mansion as our wedding venue. I found several within the historical district of Minneapolis and after carefully considering each venue, I decided to visit Gale Mansion on our next trip to Minnesota, which was a year from our proposed wedding date. I was in contact with both Amy and Amy Beth, arranging a tour and a tasting. My husband and I were very pleased with the intimate and elegant ambiance of the place and the food was delicious. We were sold. Over the following year, we kept in brief contact regarding payment installments and random questions I had along the way. My emails were always answered promptly and they even sent me pictures upon request, reminding me of the layout. Our wedding was small (50 guests) so the main level ended up being the perfect amount of space. Several days before the wedding, I was able to drop by and show my closest friends the venue so they would be familiar as they were assisting me in a variety of ways on the wedding day. I was also able to drop off all my wedding gear the day before, which made arriving the day of smooth and unhurried. The day itself was wonderful and from my point of view, nearly flawless! (any minor hiccups were handled with ease between my friends and Amy and/or Amy Beth.) Thank you Gale Mansion!

Picking our venue was one of the hardest decisions we had to make for our wedding but picking the Gale Mansion was by far one of the BEST decisions we made. Amy and Amy, the 2 fantastic women who run the show there, made our wedding absolutely flawless. They made us feel so comfortable about our wedding day, carefully walking us through the day and making sure to take care of every single little detail (like taking care of our gifts, feeding all of the kids early so there were no meltdowns, getting a sewing kit for my dad after his pants split, etc). The staff and servers were so respectful, kind, attentive and overall amazing. I have heard horror stories of family members having to stay for hours after a wedding ends to clean up and take care of leftover items at the wedding venue but the staff at the Gale Mansion did basically all of this for us so everyone could enjoy themselves. If you want a beautiful, hassle free, and amazing venue I HIGHLY recommend the Gale Mansion.

Absolutely beautiful, from the glowing woodwork, to the vintage paintings, to the sparkling chandeliers, to the grandeur of the staircase leading up to the ballroom, 5 Star Venue all the way!

Great venue to have outdoor/indoor ceremony and reception. Free valet parking for groups 50+. Staff will set up your decorations and pack them back up. Groom and Bridal suite upstairs. Personal wedding day coordinator included. Food and cake were fabulous! We loved the character of the house and interior decorations. No need to decorate beyond table tops if you do not have time. Amy Leh and Amy Beth were great to work with. Very experienced and organized. Highly recommend this venue. Downside: No pets allowed. :(

The Gale Mansion was perfection for me! The staff is amazing. Both Amy and Amy Leh gave me so much personal attention and time I could have asked for a better support system at a fabulous venue. The set up for the ceremony to the fabulous foot and cake was a perfect 10!!! My guest count was almost 100 and this venue was perfect for an intimate feel yet plenty of room to set up all my tables and dance the night away! The Gale Mansion is a wonderful place to have a wedding.

I used Gale Mansion for my wedding in July 2014. The wedding coordinator I worked with was Amy Leh, she was always prompt to respond to the many questions that I had throughout my planning process (about 12mos or so). I felt that the price was a little expensive and was more than what we wanted to spend but we did it because the Mansion (both inside and out) is so beautiful. Once we decided to book Gale Mansion as our venue we were able to schedule a food tasting and a planning session with our planner Amy. The Gale Mansion does not charge for food tasting for the Bride and Groom but charge $35 per person for anyone else, my parents wanted to come (because they were the ones paying), I felt that if someone is paying $10,000 to rent a venue they should get to taste the food for free. The planning session that we had was very helpful and we were reassured that everything would be taken care of by the staff and Gale Mansion. When we arrived on the day of the wedding we were very happy with how everything turned out. The set up and take down of reception decor was all taken care of and was beautifully done. We used mini chalk boards for our table numbers and Amy wrote them all by hand and did a fantastic job. The only complaint I have is that they didn't stress their policy about no ouside food or beverages being brought into the Mansion more the day before our wedding. We were told about this policy when we first signed the contract (which was about 12mos before the event). One of our guests brought in a bottle of alcohol and left it in the room where the guys were getting ready - we had no knowledge that this person brought it in. We were penalized by having half of our $500 security deposit taken away because they had to throw a bottle away. I wished that we had been reminded about the policy so we could have let our guests know to not bring outside alcohol. Overall the experience we had with the Gale Mansion was good enough that asside from the experience we had with losing part of our deposit I would still recommend them as a great wedding venue.

My husband and I planned our wedding from out of state--Amy at the Gale Mansion made that incredibly easy. We coordinated via email many of the details, and she was always quick to respond. She was incredibly flexible with our needs. We wanted a morning breakfast wedding, and though they had never done it before, the staff was absolutely on board with it! They served up an outstanding breakfast (eggs benedict, bacon, breakfast potatoes, pastries, fruit, french toast) that was restaurant worthy. We also had a small lunch (chicken, mashed potatoes, salad--also delicious), and believe it or not, serving two meals was incredibly reasonable for the pocketbook. We wanted guests to be met with a coffee/tea bar and pastries outside as they arrived. It was done, and looked classy. We also had fruit, pastries, coffee, and tea served to us in our bridal/groom suites. The complimentary valet is a wonderful touch. The venue was also very photo-worthy. So many interesting spots to take excellent pictures. The staff was absolutely ON IT when it came to set up and transitions. After the ceremony, they worked seamlessly (and without getting in the way of pictures) tearing down the chairs and setting up our yard games. They were so efficient clearing out tables for the dance, I didn't even notice that they did it. I only had to make one complaint--they brought tear down boxes out a half hour before the event was done. But after I said something, the boxes were cleaned up within the minute. Amy made our wedding absolutely stress free. I would return to the Gale Mansion for events in a heartbeat, and I would have our wedding there again without question. Many guests said it was the most fun wedding they had ever been to! I believe it, because it was definitely the most fun wedding I've ever been to.

My husband and I held our wedding reception at the Gale Mansion in October 2013 and are still amazed at how happy we are with our entire experience. From the moment we toured the Gale Mansion we knew it was a perfect fit; the gorgeous vintage(but never stuffy)interiors and detailing, cozy atmosphere, unique dinnerware, and the friendly and informative staff who were genuinely interested in tailoring our day to make it perfect. The price was right in our budget, and the planners there were so thoughtful about making sure we felt comfortable with the cost of our event. They did not snark when we decided to remove a few elements for cost saving efforts, and were happy to tailor some extra special details just for us. My now-husband and I wanted to craft an event that had a cozy, Minnesota-esque feel and the team at the Gale created a delicious menu (complete with pie pops in the shape of Minnesota, s'mores desserts, and locally brewed beers) that exceeded our expectations. Our food was delicious, the staff decorated the entire event to our specifications perfectly, and they packed everything up carefully so it was ready to go at the end of the night. Honestly, the level of service could have easily cost twice as much as it does at the Gale. Looking back, I am still amazed at how much was included in the cost of the venue rental and menu pricing. Just the fact that they packed up all the décor for us at the end of the night made it worth it! I can't imagine having to deal with that the day after getting married, as many places require you to take care of your own décor clean up. Overall we are extremely satisfied with our experience with the Gale Mansion. From the moment we started planning, Amy and her team were exceptionally informative, organized, friendly, and genuinely happy to be a part of our event and gave sincere and honest advice. The Gale Mansion is such a unique venue that it would surely make any wedding or reception stand out. And the price was just right; the bar bill received after the wedding didn't even scare us too much!

The folks at the Gale Mansion did a fantastic job staying on top of things the day of our wedding, especially with unpredictable weather during the ceremony. My husband and I coordinated from long distance, and they were easy to work with on our own timeline which took away the long-distance stress and there weren't many surprises the day of. The food tasted great, and the kitchen did a fantastic job accommodating special dietary needs. However, I had ordered salads and somehow they were removed from the final invoice (at the last minute I just didn't notice, so partially my own fault), and so I was really confused when no salad came out during dinner. But the staff was all very nice, and the bartenders did a great job. On the other hand, I would suggest that future couples be more specific about when the staff should start clearing up the centerpieces, etc. Our reception wasn't done until 11:30 pm, but the decorations and a lot of the tables were gone by 10:30 pm. I felt like that really took away from our atmosphere.

The Gale Mansion made my wedding day absolutely perfect. The service was impecable and the food was fantastic. Not only did they make the day incredibly easy for me (handled everything perfectly and helped to organzie all the other vendors), but all of my guests raved about the food and service for weeks after. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone who is looking to get married in the Twin Cities area!

I highly recommend the Gale mansion for a wedding venue. Everything went more perfectly than we could have imagined for our August 17th wedding. The venue is elegant and beautiful and staff including Amy and Amy Beth were great to work with. Amy was very responsive and upbeat during the planning stages. She had a lot of helpful suggestions. The two rooms upstairs for bridal party to use to get ready were really handy. We hired make-up and hair people to go to the Gale so the bridal was able to ready together there. We had an outdoor ceremony and it was magical. The food was delicious and the wait staff and valet were very professional. We had about 95 people on the main floor. The space was perfect for that size group. It was cozy and intimate but not too crowded. After dinner, we had a dance with a live, five-person band (Cafe Accordion orchestra). The dance floor was a perfect size and people danced until the very end. We received many compliments from guests that it was on of the most elegant and fun weddings they've attended. I researched many, many venues before choosing the Gale mansion and I'm thrilled with our choice.

Our experience with the Gale mansion was terrific! It makes for a wonderful venue especially if your wedding is on the smaller side. It is a great space for photos and feels intimate and vintage. The staff was wonderful, took care of setup and take down, were very flexible with our requests and were accommodating. Everything ran smoothly, and Amy Beth was on top of everything. We received many compliments on the food and how great everything looked. Thank you again for your wonderful service!

The Gale is an amazing place. It's great for a vintage style wedding and a lot of the decor and ambiance is already there so minimal decorations/DIY is needed...which is less pressure on any bride to make sure the venue is decorated just right. We love the feel and the character that the venue provided, especially for a our vintage themed wedding. It was a great back drop for pictures. We had our medium sized/small wedding reception upstairs which I had reservations with fit but it was perfect for 120 people. Amy Beth and the rest of the staff were amazing...they set everything up and took everything down. They helped with last minute decorations and made sure that the timeline we had made sense and ran smoothly. They so open to making our wedding more personal and out of the norm like providing a signature dark and stormy cocktail and mini pies for our guests. A big storm actually knocked out all the power the night before but the team was already on it, with back up generators and candles that we didn't stress about it. In reality, the candles and limited power created "real" romantic vintage feel. Gale Mansion truly made our wedding day an amazing unforgettable moment in our lives!

We held both our ceremony and reception at the Gale Mansion and both went off without a hitch! It was wonderful to know that with the purchase of the renting the Mansion came our own personal wedding coordinator for the day of who could take care of all of the details! It was quite expensive but the satisfaction of knowing that someone was there taking care of everything was worth the amount paid. My only complaints are that 5 months before the wedding the original coordinator left and we didn't hear from anyone until I prompted communication 3 months before the wedding. And with this switch the files and notes from our original meeting didn't get brought over correctly, so we had some issues with the food. But Most of my guest raved about everything anyways! My main issue was with the "owners" who took no responsiblity in no communication about who our new coordinator would be or when someone might be in touch. I think the owners handles it poorly, however I loved our actually coordinator for the day of.

We had our wedding on 6/9/12, everyone raved about our food, the atmosphere, and the overall serivce. I can not say enough about the food. Everything for feeding the wedding party before the wedding to our late night snack was amazing! The new catering manager was there the whole night and made sure to take care of guest needs and check in with me from time to time. I also liked that I did not have to do much decorating as the space is beautiful, and that everything was done on site (gives you less to worry about)

When we toured the mansion, I knew it was perfect for us! Working with Sarah Gruber was a breeze! She was fantastic and worked so hard to make sure that everything was taken care of for our wedding. The mansion was beautiful for our wedding with all of the decor provided by the mansion. The food was fantastic, as was the list of wines they had for us to choose from. Overall we had an incredible experience here for our wedding! I highly recommend you check them out!

We were at first a little hesitant given the higher price to reserve the mansion for our wedding reception, but fell in love with the old charm and beautiful features that would add a unique touch to our wedding. We had our cocktail hour on the main floor of the mansion, and our reception in the ballroom. Our guests completely loved the look and feel of the mansion, and we got a ton of compliments on how delicious all of the appetizers and the main dishes were. The appetizers were continuously passed throughout the entire cocktail hour and all of the dishes were served hot during dinner and tasted great. Sarah, the event manager, really worked with us to get all of our plans executed and answered all of our questions right away. Overall, this was a great place for us to hold our wedding and we were so happy with the outcome.

My wife and I were married at the Gale Mansion in June 2011. We had both our ceremony & reception at The Gale. We had the ceremony outside, cocktail hour & appetizers on the main level, and the dinner/dance downstairs in the ballroom. The event could not have went better, the venue was extremely elegant/classic, and the staff was very friendly/organized. I was extremely pleased and grateful for the service and judgment of Sarah (Business/Catering Director). We wanted to have our wedding outside, and we had a drizzly/rainy day right up to the time they needed to be setting chairs up outside. Sarah was extremely patient with this decision, and waited until the last possible moment for the weather to clear. I was grateful for her poise/judgment, as the easier (safer) choice would've just been to tell us they needed to move the wedding inside. Overall, Sarah was extremely competent/organized in all her responsibilities, and my wife and I were very impressed with her ability to be in-charge. It was relaxing/calming that we could trust her judgment. The food was extremely good, and has a distinct elegance that is a cut above the typical banquet food you see at most weddings. We received numerous specific compliments about it. The Gale Mansion is a wonderful venue to get married!

We had our wedding at Gale Mansion in August 2011. Everything went perfectly. They went above and beyond. They ordered specialty beer for us and when we ordered late night food that they had never done before it was better than expected. Everyone loved their meals. The new catering manager Sarah was easy to get a hold of and always returned messages. She let us have extra time setting up the day before, which was much needed with everything we had to do. There was no wedding the day before so we were able to use the venue for free for our rehearsal. I also appreciated that despite the fact that prices went up we were given the prices from when we signed our contract. Everything could not have gone smoother. On other sites I have read some negative reviews but all of those things have changed, they now have a ballroom big enough to seat 200 and there is a new catering manager. Thanks Gale!
