Alex went above and beyond in helping with every aspect of the wedding and she is a lovely person. She made me and my husband feel so comfortable during every step of the wedding. The owner even helped me at the end of the night when I couldn’t get out of my dress 🤣. Thank you so much!
Make sure you hire HHH! They are amazing and I couldn't have gone through my wedding day without them! Alex, our planner, had a great personality that meshed well with everyone! Highly recommend!
We used Happy Hour Hostess's month-of coordination service for our wedding on 10/28/23 and I feel like it may have been one of the best decisions I've ever made, no hyperbole. The first time we spoke with Carrie it felt like a great fit and she talked through our vision with us and gave us a couple tips. We wanted to do most of the planning ourselves, but a major factor for us in booking HHH was the ability to hire Carrie for a few additional hours to come to our design meeting at the venue. She. Was. Amazing. From offering ideas for beautiful place settings to helping us set priorities and decide what was and wasn't "worth it", I genuinely don't know how we could have gotten through that meeting without her. And she took extensive notes that she sent to us afterwards and kept in her file so that when we reached the month of our wedding, HHH already had tons of information about what our tables should look like and what the layout of each room was. For month-of coordination we worked with Mallory, and I could go on forever about how fantastic she is. At our wedding, Mallory was accompanied by Annie and they were so fun to have around and just so in command of everything. There was no detail Mallory wasn't aware of and no question she couldn't answer. It was so nice to have someone we trusted and could say "just do whatever you think" or "we'll leave that up to you". She made sure that everything went incredibly smoothly and, from our perspective, the day was absolutely perfect. If anything went wrong we didn't know about it. And, again, she managed all this while being a fun presence and truly helping us celebrate. When we started planning I wasn't sure whether we would hire a coordinator or not, and now I can't imagine having our wedding without HHH and Mallory. The fact that we were able to host such a beautiful event relatively stress-free is a testament to Happy Hour Hostess and the wonderful work they do. I just can't recommend them enough.
Carrie and her team are incredible!!! We were really nervous about how stressful wedding planning can be, and HHH took care of absolutely everything! There’s so much niche knowledge when it comes to weddings and things come up the week-of (or even day-of), and Carrie’s team handled it all so we could relax and enjoy the day. On top of all that, they’re so fun to work with I’m actually going to miss them! Of all the costs that go into a wedding, this is 1000% the best value. I would rather invite fewer people than not have HHH there haha.
The Happy Hour Hostess was a great service to us for our wedding. All in all, we had a good, professional experience and our day of team was really kind, warm and also kept us on track. I would recommend them for anyone looking to have a smooth day-of wedding experience.

Aside from a flawless wedding day, our entire experience with Carrie, Mallory and her Happy Hour Hostess team from the initial planning months in advance, to coordinating with ALL of the vendors, to providing us with great to-do lists / recommendations to help keep us on track - everything was incredible. We would have felt completely lost with out them. Mallory in particular was such a special part of our day. She was patient, always available, recommended so many great ideas, played a key role with all of our other vendors, and truly cared about us. She made us feel as if we were their only client. I can't recommend Happy Hour Hostess enough!!
Finding the right day of coordinator was tough since I plan events myself and had high standards, but did the Happy Hour Hostess ever deliver! From the interview to the days following the wedding our coordinator Mallory was communicative and on point with questions, details, Mallory made sure we were fed, and at that we were having a blast the entire night. I would highly recommend this team for a perfect day!
Having Kristinia as our wedding coordinator was by far the best money spent. Our daughter was in California and I was in Boston. She literally kept us on track 100% of the time with zero mishaps throughout our planning and actual event. Her assistants were so very helpful the day of. I highly recommend using Happy Hour Hostess services for your wedding, big or small!
Where do I even begin??? Carrie and the entire HHH team are PHENOMENAL. My sister got married 5 years ago and used a different planner. While it all went ok, I can say from experience that Carrie is top. notch. The best in the biz. She was arguably even more excited about our wedding than we were and it made me realize what a special season of life this is and how we could make our wedding dreams come true. Her warmth and excitement combined with her calmness and professionalism is perfect. She is well-versed, connected, and beloved by other vendors in the industry. She will navigate all aspects of your day and leading up to your day with ease. She worked very closely with my mom and was a huge help to MOB and bride :) She asks the right questions you’d never think to ask and juggles multiple items and tasks all the while making YOU feel like the most special bride and being present with you in your vendor meetings and beyond. Always a text, email or call away too. And let me be clear—Krystinia and her entire team are ON. POINT. too. It shows that Carrie is an A+ business owner and expert planner and she trains and grows all the rest of her talent. Carrie is so likeable, so knowledgeable, and she positively builds up all those around her whether it’s her coworkers, colleagues in the industry, family of the bride or groom, strangers, you name it. This is the kind of planner you want to entrust with your wedding. I don’t even need to go into minute detail because I can just say Carrie had all the details and pivoting down! Especially as we shifted, downsized, postponed our reception, all the thing because of Covid. Carrie did not miss a beat and our day was PERFECT. Hire her already!!!! My husband and I love The Happy Hour Hostess!!
I heard about Happy Hour Hostess and Carrie through a calligrapher friend who is well connected in the Hampton Roads wedding scene. Then met Carrie in person at a bridal show. Once my fiancé and I spoke to her on the phone, we knew we were in GREAT HANDS! Carrie and her team are so detailed and are one step ahead of everything. She and her team are very responsive with emails, calls and texts. Six weeks from our big day, we worked with Krystinia and she was so amazing. Super sweet and allowed us to relax and enjoy our day. She connected several times with all our vendors to confirm details and created a minute by minute timeline of the day to assure us the day would run smoothly. It did rain a bit during the outdoor ceremony, and Krystinia was right by my side holding an umbrella over us. This was a metaphor really, that she had us covered from every angle and was by our side. Our exceptions were exceeded and I highly recommend Happy Hour Hostess for your wedding or any other event!
My husband and I are both incredibly busy and live in separate cities for work, so we knew we needed a wedding planner. We met Carrie and Krystinia at a bridal expo in Norfolk. Over the year of planning, Carrie and Krystinia became two of the most important women in my life. They made all my impossible vision come true and were just rock-solid all-stars who were available to talk whenever and be a shoulder to lean on. They conquered obstacle after obstacle of my crazy vision and made it a reality with such ease. They talk about post-wedding blues because of the come-down after such a huge event, but my post-wedding blues were the reality that we wouldn't be in constant communication anymore. The team at The Happy Hour Hostess is the best in the business if you want people who genuinely care about relationships and making your day perfect.
As a person who loves and obsesses over planning, and with only 5 months to plan a wedding, I was excited for the challenge. Everyone I spoke to highly recommended having a day-of coordinator, so I did some research and found Carrie with The Happy Hour Hostess. After talking with her, I knew that she was the person whom I could entrust to execute my vision for the wedding. What a blessing she was! She took care of all the details and the behind the scenes happenings so everyone was able to thoroughly enjoy the day with no stress whatsoever through the process. Carrie and her team made my day everything I ever dreamed it could be!

I first debated whether or not I would need a wedding coordinator for my recent October wedding. This was mainly due to the fact that I was having a great time picking my vendors and organizing my special day. I decided to hire a wedding coordinator particularly for support and organization during the big day, and to make sure my mom and sister were able to enjoy the day with me (and without a coordinator, I knew they would be running around for me). Carrie was recommended to me by our planner for the rehearsal dinner venue. The planner said “I just know you will get along!” and we did! I reached out to Carrie and she gave a very detailed description of her wedding services and what to expect between the packages. I was not pressured to pick the most expensive package and during our first call, I knew Carrie would be the perfect person to help with my wedding. She was always friendly, calm, professional, and realistic about plans. She let me make my choices but was also there to give sound advice based on her experience. She was always present when I needed her, but also never pushy and really understood what I wanted for my wedding day. When I began to feel stressed, Carrie had a good answer and I felt good about the big day. Carrie went above and beyond the expectations. My wedding party had beautiful timelines that kept everything organized…not a single detail missed! We were moving from hotel suite to church to another reception venue so many moving pieces that went flawlessly…I am sure mainly due to Carrie keeping myself and the vendors informed and on schedule. I appreciated that she communicated so well with my vendors, particularly when we were getting closer to the wedding day, I was finding I forgot to pass something on, and Carrie already had it covered. During the day, Carrie took care of us and the wedding party. She helped make sure we enjoyed all the special events we spent so much time planning while also visiting with friends and family. The next day, many members of my wedding party talked about how great Carrie was, some who were recently married who said she was the best compared to others! My mom said she doesn’t know what we would have done without her. She is right! I absolutely recommend Carrie for your wedding needs. Thank you, Carrie and the HH Hostess team for helping to make my day so perfect!
Let me preface this by saying that I am in the event coordinating/planning industry, so Carrie and crew probably started with a little bit of an uphill battle. However, Carrie far surpassed any and all expectations that we had! We hired her for month-of services and got much more than that. Carrie took the time to get to know us and our vision for our big day and then followed through with precision and attention to detail that surpassed our high expectations. Beyond ensuring that we got exactly what we wanted out of the dozen or so vendors we hired, Carrie became a confidant and someone that we could bounce ideas off of and get the value of her experience expressed in all of the little details that we knew would sneak up on us as the wedding approached. She truly became the conduit through which our dream came alive. Both of us took a couple of days off work prior to the wedding with the expectation that we would be really busy and finalizing details and putting out fires…but I found myself with nothing to do (except spend time with all of our guests who traveled to celebrate with us). Carrie took the load off as the day approached so that we could spend the time we wanted to with the people we love.
As for the actual day-of, Carrie was a rock star. Her calming presence was absolutely reassuring and she made us feel positive that everything was going to be perfect. By the time the ceremony and reception came around, she actually knew some of the people’s personalities in our wedding party. She’s super observant and had great input throughout the process. If you’ve read this far, then you should already know this but, you should absolutely 100% use Carrie and HHH as your coordinator and planner.
I can not truly put into words how amazing Carrie and her team are, because they are simply the best. I hired Carrie as our Month of Coordinator more then a year out from our wedding. Even then she was always an email or phone call away about ideas or helpful tips. She gave suggestions on things from vendors to save the dates. When our day final came it went by flawlessly. Carrie and her staff made our day a dream come true. I truly do not feel that anyone else could have made our day as special as Carrie did. She truly is the best of the best.
I couldn't say more good things about Carrie and her staff. Our wedding definitely would not have been so successful without her love and joy that she puts into her work. Carrie was dedicated to working with my husband and I on planning our wedding from Oklahoma and went out of her to make each detail sparkle.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Carrie and her team. I knew when we met her instantly she was going to be the person we needed to help plan our wedding. We hired Carrie for Month of Corridnation and to do our florals. Carrie was there not just for the month but throughout the entire process and always was very welcoming and helpful. I told my husband what I loved the most about Carrie was how genuine she was and wasn’t trying to upsell us to something else just because it was our wedding. Everything went off without a hitch even getting last minute heaters for outside for our 36 degree wedding day. Carrie also designed our florals for us. She did an AMAZING job and really took the time with us at the floral shop to pick the exact flowers and look we were going for. Carrie is the best vendor to book for your wedding. You will regret NOT hiring her!
Carrie and her team are absolutely amazing! They executed my vision for my wedding and my day was absolutely perfect. Every one of my guests complimented how amazing my coordinator Melanie was and how everything was simply amazing. If you are in doubt about having a wedding coordinator, do yourself a favor and hire The Happy Hour Hostess. I cannot say enough great things about them.
