We had a smaller wedding and hosted our dinner at The Hard Shell- downtown. I feel very thankful for Kelly and her staff. She always answered my emails within a day and was so pleasant in person and on the phone. Their menu prices were affordable for what they offered compared to so many outlandishly priced places I researched and the food was fantastic (especially the oysters.) I dropped off a box of decorations the day before our wedding and spoke with Kelly about how I wanted things set up and not a single thing was forgotten on the day of. Their staff took better than good care of our party! The private room was perfect for people to give toasts and we could play our own music. They made our wedding special with their own small touches of personalization too. Great place for any event setting.

The Hard Shell at Bellgrade was an excellent rehearsal dinner venue. They give you several menu packages that fit many different budgets. The food was absolutely delicious! The rooms are private from the rest of the restaurant and you even have your own private bar. The woman in charge of handling the dinner was great to work with!

We actually used the Hard Shell at Bellgrade on the Southside of Richmond as our rehearsal dinner location. Food was good, service was a little slow. Private space in the back was nice.
