The Hitching Post Ranch helped us create a wedding day that we will never forget! The owners are so involved and truly want your day to be everything you’ve dreamed about, and their coordinator, Beth, is no different. They all work together to help make everything run so smoothly and if there is an issue that arises, they handle it so you never even know! The venue itself is set on a big, beautiful property so you feel like you are in your own world. We had the best day thanks to the HPR and would recommend this venue to anyone!

There aren’t enough words to describe just how amazing this venue is! The Hitching Post is worth every penny spent! Their communication was absolutely top tier! I never had to worry about feeling left in the dark because they made us feel like we were the only couple getting married there! The owners took time out of their night to make sure our wedding day/night went perfect! We actually spent a good 30 minutes speaking to them after our wedding and really appreciated their kindness! Everything about this venue is perfect! They helped make our wedding day everything we wanted and more! Couldn’t recommend this place more!

My husband and I spent months looking for a wedding venue. We went all over Ohio and finally found HPR. This venue is not only the most gorgeous place but it hold the kindest people you will ever meet. We fell in love immediately and truly had the wedding of our dreams. The Hitching Post is constantly changing to make things more gorgeous each time you see it. Beth (the wedding planner) is the most organized and accommodating person you will ever meet. Some specialties included are wedding planners, bartenders, sunset photos, and parking attendants. There is a huge getting-ready space for the wedding party and lots of space to dance the night away. I would recommend the HPR to anyone. I received more compliments on the venue and staff than I could ever have imagined. You will not regret booking here!!

We absolutely loved everything about our experience with HPR. Mick, Lisa and Beth were amazing, professional, helpful and made sure that we had a personalized experience from the beginning of the weekend to the end. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. The venue is gorgeous and we got a ton of compliments on it from friends and family during and after our wedding. Everything was exactly as we had pictured it, details were handled, our requests were met, we could not have been happier with our experience with HPR!

Lisa, Mick, and Beth are all absolutely amazing. I fell in love with the venue during the tour and just knew it was where I wanted to have my wedding. They have a beautiful setup with an amazing outdoor country feel and gorgeous views for miles. Our day couldn't have been more perfect from the weather, view, and the amazing staff. This venue had so much to offer to make your day spectacular. Everyone's focused on helping out any way they can to ensure everything does as planned. Mick and Lisa treated us like family and made us feel so welcome and comfortable. Beth helped ensure the day was stress free with her amazing organization skills and her fun personality. I was stress free due to Beth having a well planned timeline of events and communication with all vendors to ensure everyone was on the same page. The staff checked in several times throughout the day and even had amenity baskets in case we forgot something we might need. We really enjoyed the horses and the guests loved getting to take pictures with them. Sunset pictures overlooking the prairie was one of our top highlights of the night and we were able to get gorgeous pictures. This venue also has a bunk house where the bridal party can stay the night before the wedding and a bride and groom suit for overnight stay the night of the wedding. They truly thought of everything. The Hitching Post Ranch was absolutely the best! Our daughter was married at the HPR on July 8, 2023. The owners, Mick and Lisa, and the wedding coordinator, Beth, made us feel like they truly cared about the wedding couple and their family members. Some of our guests needed extra help with mobility issues and they were excellent in providing what was needed! We honestly felt like family! Everything went smoothly and they even thought of and provided services we didn’t even think of! The staff was amazing! All of our guests were amazed by the stunning, gorgeous views! From the beginning, when we had just toured HPR, we fell in love. The venue is so beautiful and the people are wonderful. Beth, the wedding coordinator, was truly amazing. She went above and beyond to ensure our day was everything we had hoped and wished for. She was very timely with responses and helpful in every aspect. Mick and Lisa, the owners, were also incredibly helpful and generous. They truly love their ranch and venue and want it to be the best it can possibly be for your wedding. They are so kind. Our wedding was May 13, 2023, and many of our wedding guests, complimented how beautiful the venue was including the ceremony site and the reception barn. I will always suggest the Hitching Post Ranch as a place to get married, as it truly did make our wedding day the best day ever.

If you want a super laid back do-it-yourself kind of wedding, this is your place;if you are someone who needs consistent set plans and guidance sprinkled with a little elegance, you may want to look elsewhere. I booked this venue with full on Sweet Home Alabama vibes. I am a city girl but with coronavirus still somewhat at play, we booked this charming country outdoor venue to ensure some social distancing. We initially loved the venue but what we were not told is that during the time of our wedding, they would be undergoing remodeling to the venue bathrooms and the designated area where we had our rehearsal dinner and got ready the day of.That upset me because it was not included in our contract nor was it aesthetically pleasing at all, no flooring & finishings, and we were not warned that they were going to be doing this until we arrived for our wedding weekend. I had to purchase a carpet myself for women's bathroom as they only had plywood flooring and guests were having to walk through wet grass in heels to get to bathroom as they did not yet have an entrance. The venue is owned by a sweet couple who basically run the entire operation with some family, along with their friend who is the wedding coordinator. Very nice people, but not big on organization/planning. Ie- the day of the wedding my coordinator said they would be there in the morning to set up.The day came, my florists show up, and coordinator is not there, nothing is ready, so my parents and friends scrambled to set up tables. We had the venue until 11pm, but venue owners instructed dj to announce last call at 10pm.Little things like that, where we were told one thing by the venue and then those things never came to fruition, continued to happen which impacted my final review of venue.They offered us wedding props but said we would have to pay to rent them-fyi there is a much nicer venue down the road (who is booked out 2 years) that lets you use all props for free and charges the same amount as HPR. The weekend package includes wedding coordinator and shuttle bus amongst other things. Only crucial benefit in opting for weekend package is to ensure there is not a wedding at the venue the night before yours. The wedding coordinator was kind but did not do much the day of the wedding or prior,I felt that I did most myself. Ie-I had to call someone to escort myself and my entire wedding party by golf cart to the reception as I could not walk in my dress and my wedding coordinator was nowhere to be found.We also had little details promised to us for the reception that were not given because they told us they simply forgot. We were also told the venue had wifi for guests by the owner the day we toured the venue, but again this was not true as I asked for the wifi info during our wedding weekend and was told they did not have it by the same person who said they did. The reception area is beautiful and a huge part of why we committed to this venue. Beyond that, much of the the venue is travel by foot and all locations are just far enough away that, in a dress/heels/tux you really want to be diligent about how much you have to walk- separate areas of the venue include an area to get ready, the ceremony, to the reception.There is uphill/down hill, gravel and grass torrain.This is also why it was upsetting when my wedding coordinator was nowhere to be found when my and my wedding party needed to be introduced at our reception-we ended up being about a half hour late. As the parents of the bride, we wanted the wedding venue, ceremony and reception to be a wonderful experience for the bride and groom. Beth, Lisa, Mitch and everyone behind the scenes at Hitching Post Ranch gave just that! This was an amazingly positive experience enjoyed by everyone that celebrated. Thank you so much!

The Hitching Post Ranch was the best venue I could have picked for our wedding. The moment I stepped foot on the property I knew it was where I wanted to marry my now husband. Everyone at HPR is so kind and thoughtful, and they were always available to answer any questions I had. All of our guests had an absolute blast and spoke so highly of HPR. Our wedding was an absolute dream thanks to HPR!

I cannot say enough about how amazing HPR is!! I had so many compliments on the venue and the staff that run it. Mick and Lisa are two of the most gracious people I have ever met. They made us feel like family for the weekend. Beth, the wedding coordinator, is an absolute asset to their team. I am not sure my day could have even happened without her. She made a quick judgement call that kept my entire ceremony from being doused with rain. I highly recommend the wedding weekend experience as it made the whole process a lot more fun and a lot less stressful. I cannot express how much I love this place and the people who run it. I am forever grateful for my experience here!

We cannot even begin to describe how amazing this venue is, as well as the people who own it. Mick and Lisa went above and beyond to make our special day perfect. The wedding coordinators also did an incredible job of making everything flow seamlessly, even with some last minute changes. If it is an option for you, the weekend package is an absolute must. This provides a space for the bridal party to stay the night before. We were also able to have our rehearsal dinner there and spend the whole weekend with our family and friends. It was amazing to be able to set up early on Friday, have fun Saturday night, and then come back Sunday for clean up. Absolutely worth it. There is also an amazing space to get ready, with private rooms for the ladies and gents and a spacious common area to hang out for the day. You cannot beat the views and spaces for the ceremony, reception, and pictures. They have also added on a ton to the reception area that makes it perfect for the celebration. We cannot recommend this venue enough to any couple looking for where to spend their wedding day!

The Hitching Post Ranch was the absolute perfect place for our wedding. The owners, Mick and Lisa, were wonderful and very accommodating. Beth, the wedding coordinator, was amazing. She handled every little detail and made sure our wedding day went flawlessly. A gorgeous, spacious pavillion nestled inside rolling hills, beautiful trees, and a serene pond provided stunning pastoral ambiance. Sunset photos atop their hills gave us the most incredible wedding photos. The Hitching Post Ranch is bar none the best wedding venue in the area.

I cannot even begin to describe how wonderful our wedding was here at the Hitching Post Ranch! The ceremony site offers an amazing natural backdrop. The reception area is functional and extremely beautiful. There are many amazing locations for beautiful sunset portraits too! Not only is the venue amazing, but the owners make the experience all the better! Mick and Lisa were so involved in making sure our day was just how we pictured it. You are not treated as a couple getting married, but rather as a part of their family; this sets them apart from all the other venues we visited and had solidified our choice before we had even seen the whole place! We cannot thank them enough for making our wedding, the wedding of our dreams!
