We had a wonderful time at the Hythe. Sara was incredibly easy to work with and super responsive. The Hythe staff did a wonderful job making sure our day was a blast. The food was absolutely delicious and they worked with us to accommodate our requests such as making sure my grandparents could get around easily. Would easily recommend the Hythe. Such a beautiful place to celebrate our marriage at!
The Marriott team is phenomenal. We had our ceremony on the patio and the reception in the ballroom. The staff were so meticulous about every detail and the entire weekend went off without a hitch. Thank you so much to Courtney, Matt, and the banquet and sales teams. You made our experience unique and memorable!
Buyer Beware! We have been planning a wedding for 500 since November and have struggled with the room reservations the entire time. We guaranteed a minimum number of rooms for our July wedding to get a discounted rate. We have already filled that block and asked numerous times if we needed to add more guaranteed rooms and was told no. Now they will no longer honor our rate and raised it $100. CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH! We still need another 80 rooms. Thank goodness the invitations have not gone out.
I got married a couple of weeks ago on the Vail Mountain Wedding Deck and had my reception at the Marriott. The staff at the Marriott is amazing and the cost of the whole thing was fair. The Marriott is about a 5 minute walk from the gondola at Lionshead, which is the gondola you take to get to the wedding deck. I made the walk in 3 inch heels (with my bridesmaids who were also in heels) and my wedding dress on and it was fine. There are a couple of closer hotels, but the distance was still close enough. For about 45 minutes leading up to my 7pm ceremony, there was torrential rain. The gondola was even shut down! The Marriott staff had a back-up space already setup for us since it was raining and was easy to communicate with the whole time. Thank my lucky stars the rain stopped just in time for our ceremony which only started a few minutes later than expected. After the ceremony was done our guests went back to the Marriott where passed appetizers and a bartender were open for business. After that, the food was amazing and everything went smoothly.
The Marriott has many available packages that can suite most budgets. My wedding was about 40 people so we used the "Sun Down" conference room as our reception space. But I saw there other rooms that can hold much much more. Our space was just right for 4 large tables for seating, a few standing cocktail tables, bartender area and a dance floor. Also, the event coordinator was extreamly helpful. I specifically worked with Matt Welsh and he was an integral part of my planning as it was a destination wedding for me and I didn't actually have a wedding planner! I wouldn't change it for the world. Thanks Matt and thanks Marriott :)
From the time we got engaged in Sept 2010 I dreamed of having the perfect wedding. I didn't want to be high maintenance, but I did want to be happy. Rather then head to the beach to get married, we decided on the mountains (my hair looks better without humidity :)). I had never been to Vail; it just sounded pretty. From initial contact, to planning, and then execution, the Vail Marriott provided superb service. Thank you, Dan Moller, for being so informative and flexible when we first contacted the Marriott.
We had a small wedding (less then 25 people in attendance) and we found the price of everything to be VERY fair. The outdoor patio is breathtaking and the perfect venue for a wedding. The restaurant was where we held our reception/after-ceremony dinner. They have amazing food and amazing service. Our wedding really was perfect and the staff was unbelievably helpful. Mr. Matthew Welsh became our contact for the planning and execution phase of our wedding and he was an incredible asset to our day and our stay. He went above and beyond in helping us coordinate EVERYTHING. For example, the day before the wedding I realized my dress was in sad condition and definitely needed another round of steam and press. Matt hand-carried the dress to a local vendor, had it pressed and steamed to perfection, only to hand-carry it back to my room the very next morning. He was determined to make me a happy bride and for that I am very thankful! If you are in the mood to have a wedding, in the mountains, you should definitely consider the Vail Marriott. The entire staff was great, the grounds and rooms beautiful. Other then the normal stresses that come along with planning a wedding this was a FANTASTIC trip!
We reserved our block of rooms as VMMR&S for our guests since no one lived in Vail and most everyone stayed there since they were so affordable. On top of only being around $100/night they are soo nice! Big beautiful 5 piece bathrooms, fireplaces, balconies, awesome room service and really comfortable beds. DH & I cancelled our original reservation and stayed here on our wedding night and go to Vail every year for anniversary and stay there. I love it!
