The Inn at 835

My husband and I had our wedding here. The seemed very disorganized. We felt like we weren't being listened to, had to repeat ourselves multiple times and ask questions multiple times before getting an answer. You have to look through your contract with a fine comb because the coordinator makes many mistakes and upcharges. Multiple guests said that trying to book the room was difficult and staff was rude. The day itself was good, besides wait staff taking our food away before we finished (as we had to get up and see a few guests who had to leave). We asked wait staff to not take our food. They did and then were rude and said they could make more, however, the schedule still had to go on and we couldn't wait for more. Parts in our contract that stated we would receive certain things day of like coffee and water station was never there. When we brought this up they essentially said "whoops" and we did not get prorated. We also were told by the bartender (who was great) that not many people drank wine so we had money left over on our tab. When we reached out to Julie (coordinator) about this she said that we didn't. She sent scans of receipts. I explained that it was weird because the bartender said otherwise. We never heard back from her again.

Excellent venue for reception with awesome staff! This space was also our backup for rain. They were super accommodating and helped us make a last minute call (like an hour before). The central dance floor gave our guests an intimate look at all the happenings and kept people on the dance floor all night long. My parents said this is the best wedding food they've had and I was the 4th of 4 sisters to get married!

Our daughter's wedding reception was held here last Saturday. Such a beautiful, classy venue. Julie helped us through all the details and really listened, while offering her expertise. Nick was our contact at the reception itself and made sure everything went seamlessly. I spent most of the evening in the reception room but heard later that the bar area was a lot of fun - nice to have a separate area for guests who didn't want to dance and wanted to visit. We wanted it to be a special evening and good time for everyone and that's the feedback we received. The photos in front of and on the grand staircase of the Inn itself are stunning! I would recommend this venue to anyone!

Perfect in every way! Hands down the best venue around for a lovely reception. Julie, the Sales/Event coordinator is so wonderful to work with. The food is fabulous. The staff were all professinal and lovely. Shout out to Nick who was manager on duty the night of our event. Everything ran smoothly. Very grateful we were able to use the Inn for our daugter's reception. Everything and everyone was perfect! Can't say enough good things about the Inn at 835!

Using the Inn as for our wedding and reception made everything SO easy. We used one of the wedding packages they offer so I didn't have to worry about anything. They had the food, the beverages, the centerpieces, arch, and anything else I could think of. Julie and Nick were extremely helpful and answered every question I had. I wouldn't change a single thing about having my wedding at the Inn at 835

We enjoyed the attention to detail and the care the staff at the Inn provided for our ceremony and reception. They were willing to work with us on our kitschy 50s wedding ideas and everything went smoothly. Highly recommended!!

I wish I could give this place 10 stars. We got married 6/22/18. This place was special for my husband and I before getting married as a special getaway place, but now that we had our wedding there, it’s beyond special. Every step of the planning was so easy with Julie and Nick. Even the day of the wedding when it looked like the weather wouldn’t cooperate, everyone was so patient and nice. We had a relatively small wedding, so the garden area was perfect. We’ve gotten so many compliments on how beautiful our wedding was and how amazing the food was. I had the wedding of my dreams and the Inn at 835 played a big part in that.

If you’re looking for a venue in Springfield, for any reason, the inn at 835 is great! I recently had my wedding there and it was beautiful! The staff is great and they all make you’re happy with everything. Julie is quick to respond to any questions you may have and Nick was awesome the weekend of our wedding. Staff sets up for your reception, all I did was place decorations on the tables. They also clean up. We were very happy and satisfied with our wedding. I’d definitely recommend the inn for any occasion!

The Inn hosted our small intimate garden ceremony and reception. From the start of wedding planning they have been on the top of my list. I am a florist who does lots of weddings and the Inn is by far my favorite venue to work with. They were priced very well for the value and perfect for our small group of 85 people. From the start Julie and Nick made the planning process easy and low pressure. The food was great, the servers were awesome and the bartender kept everyone happy. I could not be more pleased with the overall experience and service. If we had to do it all over again, I wouldnt change a thing.

My wedding day was incredibly perfect, all because of the Inn at 835. I have wanted my wedding at the Inn since I was in middle school because of the rustic beauty, calming atmosphere, and amazing food. Their staff is undoubtedly the best and I cannot imagine our big day without all of their help. The elegance of the venue room, pairing with the high reputation of the catering options is something that makes the Inn way over the top from any other venue in the Springfield area. The night of our wedding, I had so many guests talk about how amazing the food was and it was the best wedding food they've ever had. Plus, with their seasonal tastings, there are multiple opportunities to taste their selections, but seriously, there is no bad option with their food. Also I would love to point out how helpful and thoughtful Cody was during the night of our wedding, he handled everything with such ease. The servers and the bartender were so incredible to my family and friends and just very attentive to the night which was great that I didn't worry about anything. Julie is incredible. She works so very hard and met with my family and I multiple times and was always attentive to changes, even at the last minute. She has so many great ideas and is very knowledgeable and experienced which was super comforting. From the very start I knew I was in great hands. I sing nothing but the highest of praise about the Inn and I cannot imagine my wedding any other way.

If you're planning a wedding reception or any event in Springfield, IL, you MUST use the Inn at 835! I've personally attended a wedding as a guest at almost all of the Springfield area wedding venues, so at the time of my engagement, I didn't even look at another option! I knew that we would be in good hands with the team at the Inn, that the meal would be wonderful, and that the space would be unique and beautiful! We hosted our wedding there on 10/28/17 and they ensured that everything was perfect- from the food to the service! The event was so memorable and special because of the staff's support throughout the process. We received many compliments from our guests on how unique and beautiful the Inn is. They also commented on how friendly the staff was. The Inn is romantic and a beautiful space, perfect for a wedding. I could not have asked for a better wedding reception venue! Julie, Nick, Elmada and the entire staff of The Inn at 835 and Conn's Catering were extremely helpful and so fun to work with. I highly recommend this location for any event. Our families were extremely pleased with the guest rooms, and our wedding guests couldn't stop saying how over the top every detail of our wedding and reception was.

I will recommend the Inn to all my friends who get married in the future. The staff, food, and venue are amazing. I had never been a part of a wedding before. I felt like Julie held our hand and helped walk us through everything. They took so much stress out of the wedding day. They asked for all the contact info of the dj, baker, etc, so they coordinated all the day of stuff. It was almost like having a built in wedding planner. Nick, the day of coordinator was amazing. He was super helpful and made sure everything looked amazing. They also put aside a plate of appetizers so we wouldn't miss them them while we were taking pictures. BTW, their food is amazing. Go with their buffet option, because your guests will want seconds. They had mac and cheese bite that my husband loved. Also, when my mom went up for seconds, she got an entire plate filled with their garlic mashed potatoes. All of our guests agreed it was a perfect wedding reception, and that wouldn't have happened without the Inn. All of their staff was amazing.

Wow! What a great place. I think it is easy to get swept away with how absolutely beautiful of a location the Inn provides, because it is just gorgeous; however, it would not do the place justice to not emphasize how excellent the staff is!!!! They all are great examples of customer service experts. They also have a fantastic eye for design and understand how to keep a wedding on track. They even put down fresh mulch for our big day!!! Wonderful people, wonderful place, great value!!!

They've been super helpful in running cost options for us so that we know exactly what we're paying for. They've also been very hands on and helped us plan our time lime. It's also a very beautiful space.

My husband and I had our ceremony and reception at the inn. There is honestly nothing bad to say about this place. Julie and Nick were super friendly and accommodating, we were able to get in early (by a couple days!) to decorate for the festivities, and Nick was around for the entire duration of our reception to handle things. We ran a little ahead of schedule and that did not seem to be a problem at all, they had a plan in case of rain, and they kept in contact with us throughout the whole process. Our guests had only good things to say about the look of the venue and how delicious the food was! I can't wait to book another event with the inn, everything was amazing.

The Inn at 835 was a wonderful venue for our wedding reception of 150 people. Julie helped me plan everything months in advance, and Nick helped me the day of my wedding to ensure that everything ran very smoothly. Everyone raved about the food that we chose and how pretty the reception was decorated, along with the excellent service from the waiters/bartenders at The Inn. I would highly recommend the Airline chicken with red pepper cream sauce, Baked ziti with sausage, Garlic smashed potatoes, California medley vegetables, House salad and the Strawberry Chantilly dessert. We stayed in The Lavender Suite the night of our wedding and it was very pretty and super cozy. If you want great service from really nice people then choose The Inn at 835! :)

The whole staff at the Inn at 835 was amazing. Julie always responded quickly to any questions I had no matter how far out from our wedding date or how close. And with Nick there was nothing to worry about at the reception. I did not have to worry about any of the little details they took care of everything from set up...to clean up..and everything in between. I would highly recommend the Inn to any brides in the Springfield area.

The Inn at 835 was a wonderful choice for our wedding! The staff was wonderful and helpful during the wedding planning process as well as throughout the wedding day. They went so far as to bring a television into the bar during the reception for all of our Blackhawks fans to watch the hockey game (even though we are Blues fans)! We have also gotten many compliments on the food, as it was amazing! We had planned for a wedding in the garden, however the weather did not cooperate with us on our wedding day. We had to move the wedding inside the Inn, but it still looked amazing and worked out so wonderfully!! Having our wedding at the Inn at 835 was a wonderful decision!

The Inn at 835 made my wedding reception wonderful! First of all, they have several packages to choose from and various prices to fit your budget. The package I chose included hors d'oeuvres, buffet dinner with several accompaniments, water, tea, coffee, tables, linens, silverware, chairs, and centerpieces. I was able to buy several kegs and a champagne toast while keeping my budget where I needed it to be. I can't thank them enough for how great the night went. The staff was absolutely phenomenal and Nick was so accommodating to our requests! It honestly couldn't have been any better. I can't tell you how many people came up to me that night and raved about the food and good service. The bar staff was excellent as well! We look forward to staying there in the years to come and would highly recommend it to others. Great job and many thanks!

I am the mother of the bride and the one who worked with Julie and Nick at The Inn @ 835. From the time we had our first meeting until we walked out of the reception Julie and all the staff made it so easy. We were able to enjoy the wedding & reception without worries about anything. The Inn is absolutely beautiful. We held the ceremony in the garden area outside which was perfect. The reception hall is beautiful in itself so minimal decorating is needed. The food by Conn's was awesome, not one complaint. All of the staff, servers and bartenders were so polite and helpful with any request. Everyone really went above and beyond to make our daughters wedding perfect, and it was exactly that! A lot of guests commented that they did not know about the Inn @ 835 and how beautiful it was. I can guarantee anyone looking for a venue, especially for a wedding, will not find anywhere else in Springfield that beats the service or price. This is a top notch venue and would highly recommend to anyone.

We had our ceremony on one side of the parlors and brunch/reception on the other side. It was beautiful, the food delicious, and the staff were exceptional. My day went perfectly without a hitch, no stress, just perfect. I highly recommend!!!!

We just had our reception here a few months ago and I couldn't say enough good things about the place. While it was rather small, It was perfect for our family and friends. The staff was excellent and easy to work with. I'm don't live in Springfield, so I was concerned about planning the wedding from Chicago, but everything worked out perfectly. Great people to work with!

The inn was the perfect place for my wedding of 125 guests. The staff were friendly and helpful. The wedding and reception cam with two night complimentary in the bell house suite. The made the day and evening perfect and my guests felt pampered with a seated meal and butler passes appetizers.

My husband and I were thrilled with our choice to use The Inn at 835 for our wedding. The staff was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful reception. From the first meeting through the end of our wedding day, the staff was there to help with whatever we needed, big or small. The planning for a wedding can be very stressful, but the reception hall coordinator walked us through the entire planning process and gave us much appreciated advice and guidance. During the whole process, she was in close touch and worked with us on any issues that unexpectedly popped up. Our reception itself went incredibly smoothly, and the coordinator was there throughout the day to assist with anything that was needed. She stayed in touch with our other vendors and coordinated set up for our DJ and photographer, as well as delivery of our cake. Being able to relax and enjoy the evening without worry was great. We absolutely would recommend the Inn to anyone planning a wedding in the Springfield area!

The staff was very helpful. They had a beautiful courtyard for a garden ceremony. The banquet room worked perfectly for our dinner and dancing reception.

Great location, easy to deal with, excellent food!

The Conservatory room is a great place to hold a reception. It's elegant and it has a very nice bar adjacent to the room. I love the fact that the bar is not in the reception room itself so those that wished to watch the Cardinals play in the World Series with a drink in their hand could do so! (We're big Cardinal fans) Conn's catering does the food and it was excellent! The staff is friendly and helpful.
