The Leland Lodge

Honestly the best place we could have chosen. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how good the food was. Kyra and the whole staff was kind and helpful. I will be suggesting The Leland Lodge to anyone planning on getting married. We had the wine cellar and it was absolutely gorgeous. I can’t say enough good things about this place. They were so helpful and accommodating when we had to move our original wedding from May 2020 to June 2021. It was amazing to not have to stress about details like linens and getting food and drinks coordinated because I knew the team had it covered. We were able to have a wonderful, fun-filled day with family and friends all thanks to everyone at the Lodge. I can’t stress enough. Book. Your. Wedding. Here.

The Leland lodge is the perfect place to have a intimate, rustic, northern mi destination wedding. My husband and I are thrilled that we chose them for our big day. Kyra and Sarah are awesome event coordinators, they are quick to communicate and will go out of their way to make sure you have exactly what you want the day of your wedding. You don’t have to worry about any coordinating the day of the wedding with them around, they have it handled! The whole staff is just fun and makes you feel right at home. They will work with you on any food and drink items, and let me tell you, the food is phenomenal! It was so great to have our lodging, ceremony, and reception all on site and so close to town. Our guests are raving about our big day and I know many of them will return for a visit, including us. The venue is the most important vendor of your big day, and we highly recommend the Leland lodge!

I don't know where to begin...we had our rehearsal, ceremony, and reception all at the Lodge and it couldn't have gone better. Our wedding was on Nov 1, 2019 and the weather was amazing. Our guests loved the Lodge, Bogey's, Doug, Tony, Kyra and the rest of the staff, and Leland in general. We had a Halloween party rehearsal dinner - Kyra made sure everything went smoothly, from setup, staff in costumes (they dressed as busy bees), coordination between music and slideshow, helping with rehearsing the ceremony processional, and providing us with an elegant yet festive Wine Cellar to celebrate with a dinner surrounded by our closest family and friends. The weather was so crappy that day, and we'd been on the fence for the 2 weeks up to the wedding if we'd need to do an indoor ceremony. Friday ended up being beautiful and Scott cleaned up the wind blown leaves from the courtyard for us. Kyra and crew set up our outdoor ceremony and it went off without a snag (apparently there was a short sprinkle before the ceremony that I missed since we were hiding beforehand). Kyra made sure our guests had the blankets we laid out, the DJ knew what to do, and that our assigned seats for processional members were apparent. Kyra folded all of our napkins for the reception and helped make the Leland Room look amazing! There was no need to rent linens, silverware, cups, or plates - they have it all! The napkins come in different colors too!! Kyra and Sarah worked with Chef Tyler to get our custom menu down, as well as our bar requests. Kyra also made sure I had everything I needed every time she saw me on our big day. She and the Lodge itself and the staff were phenomenal and we couldn't have asked for a better wedding!! I highly recommend the Lodge for your all-in-one stop for the rustic wedding of your dreams! Nicholas cottage was fantastic because it's away from the Lodge, is spacious (had on demand hair/makeup here), and quiet. We had family and friends over for dinner or drinks every night we stayed. Bogey's was phenomenal too! Tony and Doug were great - they stayed open late for us, they let us have our Halloween party post-rehearsal in there as well as the lobby, and were overall some of the kindest, warm-hearted people I've ever met. Also, Chef Tyler has fresh delicious cookies at the front desk every morning ;) okay done ranting now...there's more but I'll leave it at that...thank you all!!!

We had a blast at the lodge last weekend. Kyra and Sarah have been really awesome. Literally you will not hear a ‘no’ from them. We customized the menu, which turned out great. The venue itself is just so beautiful, nested between lakes and golf course, with nice outdoor and indoor space. We really could not have asked for more. Thank you!
