Today, the inn is owned by the Swedish hotelier, Jenny Baker, who oversaw a complete renovation of the building in 2017. Jenny has been an entrepreneur in hospitality for her entire career, having worked in the United States, Sweden, and The Netherlands. When designing The Maidstone, this creative professional incorporated elegant and whimsical elements in its interior design. She sought to bring an environmentally sustainable space to life and has included eco-friendly practices throughout the establishment. Jenny runs the hotel alongside her husband, filmmaker and entrepreneur Jonathan Baker. Couples who host their wedding at The Maidstone are sure to enjoy its beautiful event spaces and high-quality service. Several function rooms are available to choose from, as well as the neatly manicured gardens that provide a picturesque setting. Inside, the bar and lounge, dining room, and sunroom are ideal for romantic wedding celebrations. Soon-to-be newlyweds may reserve all of the spaces to accommodate larger events. Each room is individually designed using artwork, color palettes, sustainable materials, and other distinct features.
