This is the best wedding venue and company!! We had an amazing time planning our wedding with Sarah and the team at Landmark event co. They paid attention to every detail and followed through and executed everything beyond our imagination. The food, alcohol, ceremony and decor were so thoughtfully put together and totally personalized to our requests. They even made a special signature drink for us that is not typically on their menu. Our guests raved about the quality of everything! They are a very professional group, as the bride and groom we showed up to the venue on wedding day and we didn't have to lift a finger during setup, ceremony, and tear down. We just got to enjoy! The day of coordinator kept us moving through the day with ease, please hire their day of coordinator. We also couldn't believe the value of this venue. There were other venues we looked at that were comparable in size/capacity but were more costly and did NOT include food/catering/waitstaff, alcohol or decor. It was so nice to have the venue take care of the big items, so we could just bring our dessert, entertainment and photo/video vendors, which all worked very well with the venue. Their preferred florist also makes it easy because you don't have to set up anything.
If you work with Landmark and the MV Skansonia, you will have the best, most seamless and beautiful event!! (The venue itself is stunning but that's clear from the pictures online).

Incredible experience working with Sarah and the Landmark/Skansonia team! Highly recommend. Pricing was reasonable and Sarah made the before/planning process so smooth. She also had amazing ideas for our wedding because of her experience. Day of it rained non stop, but moving the ceremony inside was still beautiful and Sarah did an amazing job coordinating the event!

The MV Skansonia was a dream venue and their team was a dream to work with! From the beginning, Sarah and Ruby answered every question we had -- from our first tour to planning meetings to tastings to the day-of. Can't recommend working with them enough. The venue itself is stunning and the views are incredible. The in-house food was of high quality and the bar options were great.

Cannot say enough positive things about the MV Skansonia.
Not only is the venue itself unique, with a stunning view of Lake Union, the team was amazing: Responsive, helpful, personable, completely organized and on top of things. On the day-of I didn't have to think about a single venue-related logistic (bless) and everything went off without a hitch.
The food was also delicious. Most of our guests came from San Francisco & Seattle (ie. picky AF) and everyone gave complements. The team was also completely accommodating and proactive about noting all food allergies and dietary needs.
Highly, highly recommend.

Celebrated my wedding earlier this month and the staff and mv Skansonia made it the perfect day! Such a unique venue with the Seattle skyline on the water, and on a cute character-filled boat! My husband loved it as well and we felt that the food and everything was also great as well.

Great space on Lake Washington. Gorgeous boat deck makes you feel like you are literally on the lake. Wonderful space inside for dinner and another side for dance. If the weather is good dance outside. As a wedding DJ I love thins space for a party. i highly recommend uplights and sparklers

We could not be more thrilled with our wedding at the MV Skansonia. We had a lot of out of town guests and this was the perfect location with the most beautiful views to show them Seattle! I also was surprised how many Seattle venues don't have a great rain plan, so the indoor option was a big plus. Though getting to have our wedding outside on the bow during a sunny Seattle day was pretty unbeatable! I really was considering doing a more 'DIY type venue' but I'm so glad we chose a place that would take care of everything for us. The staff, and specifically our coordinator Emma, did such a fabulous job taking care of us, handling small details, and there were no hidden fees or surprises. Food was great and the team kept the drinks flowing!

Hands down one of the best venues in Seattle! Perfect setting that allows you beatiful views and a unique feel, all while accomodating everything and more you want for your wedding. We had 2 weddings due to COVID and could not have been happier. When we were finally able to have a receptions guests were raving about the venue and how awesome it was. The bonus for us was working with Ruby who made everything and more happen for us and was so fun and easy to work with over the 2.5 years of us trying to have our wedding. If I ever need to host another party this is the only place I would do it.

The MV Skansonia and its staff were perfect for our 80 person late summer wedding in Seattle.
First off, thanks to Ruby, our day of coordinator who helped ensure that everything ran smoothly, she made our wedding as relaxed as possible for us as the couple. She and Finni were responsive to emails and were extremely professional and easy to work with. We did not need to hire a separate day of coordinator because she was really there for us the entire time.
In the setting of COVID, staff wore masks at all times and were attentive and gracious, the bar kept drinks flowing!
In terms of the venue itself, the views from the Skansonia could not be beat. There is an incredible view of the Seattle skyline on Lake Union. We lucked out and had a gorgeous sunset, but even if it were overcast, the view at night would still be spectacular. The interior has a brand new mahoghany bar that fits so well with the character of the boat and the renovations in the last year have opened up the space, making it much more dramatic and also practical for dinner and dancing. The two large garage doors at the front of the boat do open up completely making an indoor venue feel like it is outside with good airflow.
Also wanted to give a shout out to Amanda from Nadira design, the venue's florist. She gave us exactly what we wanted with our flower arch for the ceremony, boutonnieres, and interior floral. Everything was beautiful, we would not have changed a thing.
All said, I would 100% book this venue again.
Big thank you to MV Skansonia for making our special day so memorable.

Absolutely Amazing!!!! We couldn’t be happier with how the venue turned out and the process leading up to it!! Finni made the process smooth and was incredibly helpful. She was easy to get in touch with whenever we had questions. We had a bunch of guests from all over the country and they were absolutely blown away by the beauty of the venue. You would be hard pressed to find another venue that embodies Seattle more than the MV Skansonia. On the day of the wedding, the entire crew working the event was outstanding. The cooks, bartenders, everyone did a fantastic job. The venue comes with food, cake, and the decor and they were all A+!! We are so happy we chose this special place for our wedding! Thank you again to Finni and everyone at MV Skansonia who helped!!

The team at the MV Skansonia were great to work with and put together a great wedding for us. They made the planning process easy by including almost everything you need for the event (just booked DJ and photographer separately). The food, flowers, cake, and staffing for the event were all planned through them. Everything went smoothly for our wedding. This venue also has one of the best views of Seattle and a great rainy day plan for the ceremony. Definitely recommend!

My husband and I had our wedding on the MV Skansonia in July. It was truly a "ferrytale" wedding. Everything was just perfect, from the beginning planning to the final wedding day. Finni and Ruby handled all the details and took all the worry away. The food was delicious and our signature drinks were a big hit. The weather was so perfect on our wedding day and all the guests raved how amazing the view was and the romantic feel of the boat. The Skansonia will forever be our love boat.

I have shot several weddings at the Skansonia and only have praises to sing. Let's begin with the venue itself:
The upstairs is primarily white with beautiful minimal decor and furniture, and LOTS of windows (aka: gorgeous preparations lighting, even if it's raining).
The downstairs boasts twinkle lights on one side where the dance floor or rainy weather ceremony takes place. I love using this for photos whether it's raining or not! Gorgeous! The nice day ceremony normally takes place on the bow where angles from the second deck, as well as both sides and angles are easily accessible.
My point being that from a photographer's standpoint this venue is amazing!
The staff. Oh my stars. Professional, efficient, and highly experienced. To boot they are incredible with all vendors. They once ordered us pizza. Just to be kind.
And lastly, they genuinely care about their couples and their guests. Behind closed doors this staff is positive, caring and completely 'for' their clients.
If you love the venue, book it. You won't regret it! I recommend this venue to any couples looking in Seattle!

We were married on the Skansonia two weeks ago and it was the most amazing day! Finni was so wonderful to work with. She made sure our day went off without a hitch and made the planning a breeze.
From the first day we toured, Finni was professional, knowledgeable, sweet and fun! She’s cool, calm and collected and made it stress-free. She answered all of my questions patiently and never made us feel rushed or bothersome.
The venue is so cool- and undoubtedly has one of the best views of the city of anywhere. We had 100 guests and everyone - our of town guests and Seattleites - commented on how they loved being on the water with such gorgeous views. Our wedding was in April but we had sunny skies for our 5pm ceremony.
The food was fantastic and the chef was really great to work with via Finni. They were able to accommodate some pretty limiting food allergies at the last minute at no additional fee. And the pastry chef - wow - we had cupcakes and they were divine! The flowers were gorgeous and the florist was super helpful as well.
If I could give 6 stars I would - that’s how much we loved getting married on the Skansonia. Finni went above and beyond for us!

We just had our amazing wedding here last Saturday. We can't praise this incredible venue enough! Finni, Ruby and the entire Skansonia team were wonderful to work with. From start to finish they had it all under control, which sure helps a stressed out bride!!! The day went smoothly from start to finish and every single one of our guests complimented us on the food (we used in house...highly recommended!!!), the venue, the drinks (in house again, definitely...the mimosas were a huge hit!), basically all of it. We were thrilled to share this piece of PNW history with our guests and everyone loved it. The staff here is amazing and made our day come off with no complications and absolutely perfect. We are already thinking of anniversary celebrations here!!! Thank you Skansonia team you made our day amazing!!!

The Crew at Skansonia were excellent!! They helped us plan and execute down to the last detail. Finni is a real gem to work with. She was warm and kind throughout the process and even helped mediate a debate over cake. It was beautiful to have wedding on this historical monument of a venue. It was warm in the middle of the winter, yet gave us the feeling of being open to the outside. The view of Seattle city-scape was gorgeous and blood-wolf-moon eclipse was an epic add... Not sure how Finni pulled that one off!

I really can't sing the praises of this venue enough. It's beautiful, we hardly did any decorations, the food provided by the new catering company (the Ruins) was wonderful, and the staff were extremely warm and professional. Finni was our main point of contact, and she was a delight. She was flexible, responsive, and asked all the right questions to make sure we had every detail covered!

I truly can't say enough good things about the Skansonia.
My fiancee and I were looking for an impossible venue - large capacity without being a big-box convention center; full-service without being cookie-cutter; glamorous without being overpriced. And improbably enough, the Skansonia checks all of those boxes.
One of the Skansonia's biggest advantages is that they have in-house vendors for catering, baking, and florals, although you're free to use your own instead. They even helped connect us to a photographer and a band. Most importantly, Anita and Finni were razor-sharp day-of coordinators. Once we got to the boat, we knew that everything was taken care of, and we were free to enjoy ourselves on the most special day of our lives.
Oh, and the food. The food is AMAZING. Get the whisky barbecue pork shanks. You won't regret it.

Skansonia—highly recommend!
We were looking for a Seattle venue for our wedding that had a scenic view, offered tasty food, and was affordable.
Location/View
The Skansonia is on Lake Union and provides a great view of the lake and downtown.
Indoor/outdoor
One of the best features of the Skansonia is that the venue is versatile. We knew if the weather was sunny, we could enjoy cocktails with our guests and hold the wedding service outside, on the bow of the Skansonia, surrounded by views of Lake Union and the Seattle skyline. But if it rained, the interior of the Skansonia would be an excellent indoor alternative with its wood work and natural light.
Food & Beverages
The food was amazing! All of our guests were raving about the food served at our wedding. Attending a tasting (before the wedding) was helpful in planning our menu. That being said—everything they offered was tasty. Bar service was great and well staffed. While planning our special day, Skansonia staff suggested having a signature cocktail. We loved the idea; it was well implemented and the guests were all impressed.
Service
The team at Skansonia was super helpful with planning and implementing our wedding plans. We appreciated their helpful attitude, prompt communication, and thoughtful ideas.
Flowers and the cake
It was great knowing the team at Skansonia would be able to take care of the flowers and the cake. No worries about working with additional vendors and day-of delivery. We worked with the Skansonia florist and were wowed by the seasonal flowers she selected. The cake was tasty and enjoyed by all guests.
I can definitely say that Skansonia played a big part in making our wedding day memorable and fun—to the wedding couple and guests alike.
Thank you, Skansonia!

Finni and Anita at the Skansonia helped make our wedding day at this venue SO amazing. From our first tour through the wedding day, they were helpful, cheerful, responsive, and so easy to work with. The "all inclusive" nature of this venue is absolutely worth it. Their food and bar were great.
An awesome perk of this venue is that it really doesn't need much decorating. It has its own antique charm, and we really only added center pieces and some signage to personalize the day.
From the minute we first stepped on the boat, we knew this was our top choice for a venue, and I couldn't imagine having the wedding anywhere else.
We got married Labor Day Sunday, and the weather was perfect (always a gamble in Seattle on Labor Day), and provided the perfect, classic Seattle feel for our out of town guests. The views from the bow are stunning!
Flowers and cake through Lake Union Cafe (their sister venue) were also great, and easy to coordinate.
You will have zero regrets booking this venue for your wedding or event, and will only wish you could relive the day over and over!

I don’t think I could have imagined having my wedding at any other venue! Between the view, history, staff and food it was by far the most amazing venue I have ever seen! From the first time I saw the venue over, a year ago, the planning process couldn’t have gone better. The maintenance of the ferry boat was amazing which allowed me to not need to decorate much and just take in the wonderful history of the Skansonia. The day of the wedding was just amazing. Finni was the most helpful ever and making sure the day ran close to on time and making sure everything ran smoothly. All of our guests were just shocked how amazing the venue and staff was at the Skansonia. I’m so glad that I accidentally found this venue and had the most amazing experience of my lifetime! Thank you to everyone and all the staff over this last year making it the most memorable wedding of a lifetime!

The venue was gorgeous and the food and dessert were excellent. We lucked out with beautiful weather and our guests, who were mostly from out of Seattle, couldn’t stop talking about the venue. I highly recommend this venue, and this staff, if you’re looking to get married.

We simply could not have asked for a more special day for our wedding! We worked with Anita, who is very professional, polite and organized. She did a wonderful job making everything very easy on us, and left no details unturned. In addition we chose to get our catering and the cake through the MV Skansonia and both came out excellent. We had everyone compliment us on the incredible food, great cake, but most importantly the gorgeous venue. We lucked out with the beautiful weather and were fortunate with a perfect sunset on the bow. There isn't a more beautiful view in town. We had several meetings leading up to the event allowing us to walk through the process and give us an idea of how beautiful the venue was. However, we weren't prepared for how truly stunning this venue is until the day of our rehearsal, when almost all finishing touches were in place and the details came alight. Anita did great throughout the event taking the initiative and feeling out the event and the mood, ensuring everything flowed appropriately and went beyond what was asked of her at times when she saw an opportunity to make it even more special. We felt the prices were very competitive and are lucky we found this incredible gem of a venue for our wedding day.

My hubby and I just had on our wedding at the MV Skansonia in late June. I really can't say enough good things about it, we had an incredible time! Devon and Melissa are rockstars and made sure everything went according to plan. We didn't have a DJ, instead my older brother was manning the music and they worked with him on everything so all the correct songs got played at the right time. The food was delicious and the dessert was so yummy. Plus, the view! The weather decided to cooperate and the view was stunning the whole time. So many of our guests told us how much they loved the venue. And at the end of the night they packaged us up some food for a midnight snack! For everything you get, the price was so reasonable. Perfect evening that I will never forget :)

We fell in love with the charm of the ferry immediately! Our first trip to the Skansonia was on a rainy day in November and the space was cozy, warm and welcoming. Victoria and Vicki were always available to answer questions and to meet at the last minute. They truly made planning easy with in house catering from Lake Union Cafe (which the food was amazing - our guests raved!) as well as an in house florist and bakery. You don't need to go crazy on Pinterest either since the space is so unique and beautiful.
So here is where our story takes a bit of a twist. Our wedding fell on the same weekend as Seattle suffered through the remnants of Typhoon Songda. The winds that weekend were consistently 30 - 40 mph, with gusts up to 70 mph. We were informed on Friday that the boat might not be safe for everyone to board on Saturday due to predictions of even worse weather the next day. Gulp. So we slept on it to see what the weather would do and the next morning it looked just as bad. We decided with Victoria not to hold the wedding on the boat since we might lose power or have to evacuate if the weather made the boat unsafe. I say all of this not to scare anyone away from the venue. This was one of the fist times they ever had to move an event. So this is not common, at all. But what Victoria did do is move our wedding over to Hotel Deca and busted her ass to pull off a pretty fantastic wedding. So if you want a venue that can handle unexpected problems. . . which will happen. . . this is your place and Victoria is your woman!
After all of that we had the most amazing event. Everything went off without a hitch. Other than lots of nautical themed koozies, our guests would have never known we hadn't planned it to be at the new venue. Thank you Victoria, we were sad not to get married on the boat, but couldn't of had a better backup wedding without your help. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a great place to celebrate!

The staff at the Skansonia helped to make our wedding absolutely amazing! We mostly worked with Vicki Spears, who went above and beyond! She was so good at keeping a calm and positive attitude, even when the stress began to add up. In the months leading up to the wedding, she was quick to respond to emails and great at helping to keep up organized and ready. During our rehearsal and wedding day, she kept things moving and made sure we weren't overwhelmed. I can't speak highly enough about Vicki and all the staff at the Skansonia, our wedding day wouldn't have been as amazing as it was without them!!! The venue is quite stunning as well. Our guests enjoyed the uniqueness and ambiance of the venue. The food was amazing too! I'd definitely pick the Skansonia if I had to do it all again! Absolutely no complaints!!

Our experience with the MV Skansonia was so unbelievable, I'm not sure where to begin.
I suppose we can start with the staff. Vicki, Victoria and McKayla (my apologies if spelling is incorrect) were truly spectacular. In short, both my wife and I aren't the most organized folks. The staff went above and beyond to calm our nerves about preparation, but also helped with every facet of the ceremony and reception.
The women of the Skansonia were the talk of the town amongst family and friends. They seamlessly guided us through the process of planning and executing the entire day and everything went off without a hitch. They really made us feel comfortable, they advised us when we were unsure and most importantly, they listened to our every request, no matter how big or small it was. We wouldn't have pulled this off without them.
Next, let's go with the venue itself. We are originally east coasters who now call Seattle home, so most of our guests came from out of town. The venue blew everyone away. The historic charm, the waterfront location, the quintessential views of the downtown skyline made it a truly unique celebration. We're still getting calls about how unbelievable the venue was. Few decorations needed to make this place looks beautiful, the history speaks for itself.
Up next, my favorite: the food! One of the reasons we chose the Skansonia in the first place was the reviews about the food. Man, they did not disappoint. From the tasting night to the reception itself, there was never a bad bite. We had steak, salmon, butternut squash ravioli and plenty of tasty appetizers. Normally for weddings, it is quantity vs quality but the Skansonia found the secret to provide both. I couldn't tell you how many times we were told that it was "the best wedding food we've ever had". We had 160+ guests and we heard that from nearly everyone. On top of how delicious the food was, it was extremely affordable compared to other catering services. If they were a restaurant (hint: they are), I would eat there constantly (hint: I do).
Miscellaneous comments - One of our main concerns was the table setup with our group size and how most tables would be separated from the dancefloor. The ladies of the Skansonia assured us that they would create a layout and environment that flowed with the events of the night and they backed up their statements. While people were dancing, others hung out at the bar and others wandered out front and on the upstairs decks. The layout really provided an intimate setting where people could get a variety of settings if they wanted to. We provided our own alcohol for the wedding - mostly beer bottles and wine. The Skansonia was so helpful in providing accurate alcohol amounts and they were extremely accommodating for dropoff of the alcohol and other wedding decor.
Overall, the women of the Skansonia were easy to work with, proactive with communication, honest with their professional opinions and most of all, their presence was calming, assuring and approachable. I know it sounds cliche, but we really would not have been able to pull the wedding off without them. I would recommend this venue and it's wonderful employees to anybody (and have been!). I hope that one day, Susie and I can attend a wedding on the Skansonia as guests, so we can see from another perspective how wonderful this place really is. Thanks for so much!!

Skansonia and everyone there did an awesome job through the whole process. The price was great for the amount that this venue provides. The food is delicious. This was absolutely the perfect venue for us! With many friends and family traveling for our wedding (more than half traveled from out of state!), what better way to show off our beautiful city than to be on a ferry w/ a view of the Space Needle across Lake Union? Aside from the perfect setting, everything else was spot on. The food was delicious! I would pick something and say "you must have _________", but there isn't just one thing! You can't go wrong w/ the menu. The space is well laid out to allow guests to move about easily, find a quiet spot, or even escape outside.
The onsite staff were wonderful during the event. Perfectly kind and helpful all evening.
Looking back, there is not a thing we would change and given the chance, we would do it all over again!

I can not even begin to say how amazed I was with the absolutely phenomenal experience I had with the MV Skansonia. To begin, the venue itself is stunning. We had our ceremony on the bow of the boat with the Seattle skyline as the backdrop. The inside is equally beautiful with unique vintage-looking decoration and beautiful lighting hanging from the ceiling. The staff at the Skansonia are also wonderful people to work with. Kristine answered all my questions, no matter how little or silly and met with me and my husband several times to make sure that we were the most comfortable we could be with everything having to do with our wedding day! Both Kristine and our day of coordinator, Vicki, helped us to make the boat our own for our wedding day with suggestions on decorations and other ideas. Vicki was the most incredible coordinator I could have asked for, she was calm and made me feel so loved on our wedding day. I felt so confident knowing that she was in charge and she did an amazing job allowing us to enjoy our day but also moving things along so as not to go over our allotted time. I also loved that we were able to get all food and cupcakes from the Skansonia as well. It made it easy to only have to deal with one person as opposed to five different vendors! And the staff at the Skansonia did all of the cleaning up! I loved that my bridal party and family had minimal cleaning post-reception. Thank you to the amazing staff at the MV Skansonia for making our day so special! The MV Skansonia was the absolute perfect place for my husband and I to be married and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, elegant venue.

Scott and I are finally back and adjusting to reality after our amazing wedding & honeymoon adventures in Cabo! We simply cannot thank you enough for providing us with such a BEAUTIFUL wedding on July 5th! It was everything we had hoped for and we are so thankful for everyone's help and support from the Skansonia! We have heard nothing but amazing compliments about the venue, the service, and of course the great party that ensued ;)
The Skansonia truly is Seattle's best kept secret and Scott and I feel so lucky to have spent our special day in such a beautiful location that captures Seattle at its best! We also loved the fact that the Skansonia used to commute from Gig Harbor (my hometown) to Tacoma as a passenger ferry which gave us another reason to love this venue and its' unique character. Again, we thank you and would absolutely recommend you to all our friends and family!

For a truly Seattle venue, you cannot beat the Skansonia. Being on the water with views of the city is just breathtaking. The Skansonia did an amazing job for our wedding! The atmosphere is stunning and the food is even better! All our guests complimented the food. The staff is very helpful, too. We met with Ellie, one of the coordinators for the Skansonia, the before the wedding and she really helped us figure out the timing and logistics for the big day. On the day of the wedding she took care of everything for us. She really made sure the event ran smoothly. I felt like I didn't have to worry about a thing. I highly recommend using the Skansonia.

We had our wedding with about 180 guests on the Skansonia May 27th, 2012 and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! Everyone at the Skansonia was incredibly helpful and supportive leading up to the big day. I emailed frequently with questions sometimes multiple times a day/week and they always gave quick and informative responses. For the events directly before the wedding (i.e. finalizing meeting, rehearsal, etc) they were completely on top of everything and very relaxed which helped to keep us relaxed too! We worked directly with Shauna and Ellie and they were both there the night of the wedding to keep everything running smoothly and make sure we had everything we needed. For everything that was included and the incredibly wonderful setting, the price was very reasonable. We have had many guests remark about the amazing food and great location and we highly recommend this venue to anyone!

We had our wedding and reception on 10-9-11 on the Skansonia, and everything went just as we had expected! The weather cooperated for our short ceremony, so we were able to do the ceremony on the bow of the ship (they allow you to make the call up to 30 minutes before the ceremony). The food was amazing as well! We had salmon, pasta, and a green salad. They also allow you to bring on all your own alcohol without a corkage fee, which was a huge savings for us. We also made our own centerpieces and brought them in, which they were totally fine with. Easy to work with, flexible, and affordable! It was an amazing day and I wouldn't change a thing about working with this venue!

We were married on the Skansonia over Labor Day weekend 2011. We were very fortunate to have our wedding on one of the sunniest, warmest days of the year. Overall, the Skansonia was wonderful - the food was delicious (we heard this from numerous guests), the space was nice, and it was affordable. We loved being able to bring all our own alcohol on board.
There are some cons - first, you only have one hour before your event to set up, though you can purchase additional time for a fee (for us, it was $300 for each additional hour, but I believe that has since gone up).
The staff are very nice and professional overall. We were quite upset though, that on our wedding day, one of the staff told family members that the front rows for the ceremony were reserved. Yes - that was correct - they were reserved - for family! As a result, several family members ended up standing for the ceremony because they'd been told not to sit up front - and those front rows remained empty for the ceremony.

The Skansonia is a great location for a wedding. Pros include: the view from the deck is amazing, the food is fantastic, the dance floor is huge, the wedding packages are affordable, and they offer BYOB. The staff are easy to work with and did a wonderful job for our wedding.

I loved the location, the view and the staff. They were all so helpful and they made sure that I left with everything that I brought with me. They washed and re packaged our champagne glasses and cake knives and they helped my parents pack up all the vases They were so nice and the venue was perfect. Loved just about everything!

The Skansonia Ferryboat was a perfect venue for so many reasons. First, since they have so many weddings there a year, they really know what they're doing. The staff is very helpful and I loved having the option of using one of their staff for a day of wedding coordinator. Second, they've created unbeatable atmosphere. Being on an eclectically and vintage decorated old ferry boat with a glowing view of the Seattle skyline was so magical. Third, the prices were up front and they have so many options to add on to make a wedding easy (candles, table runners, cake, ice cream, catering, flowers etc). They have many vendors that have worked with them in the past. It was a great piece of mind to know that many of vendors already knew the staff and layout of the boat.

I was extremely happy with my Skansonia experience. The venue speaks for itself - I fell in love with the ferry immediately. The view of the city skyline, including the spaceneedle, from the ferry is amazing and it was a great way to introduce out of town guests to Seattle. The food was unreal - so delicious, I was very happy with it. Upgrade to inlude the Lobster Mac when you upgrade the number of entrees...guests (and I!) loved it. The planning and service at the wedding and before was so easy to plan. Overall, I thought the quality, service, and value for the venue were all 5 out of 5's. In my particular case, I was not able to come anywhere near my guest minimum, so for me, the value was not there as much - so I recommend definitely making sure you can meet the guest minimums when picking out your day.

We got married on a Monday on the boat and it was the nicest day in Seattle all year! It was beautiful, the food was amazing and delicious, way better then we thought it would be because we were unable to make it to the tasting. Most all of the staff were great, so friendly, helpful, but one person in particular seemed to maybe be having a bad day but that would be the only flaw! It's a spectacular venue, they do a fantastic job!!

This is an absolutely amazing venue to use for your wedding! We did both our wedding ceremony and reception here, and not once did I worry about everything being done the way I wanted it to be! This venue is a GREAT deal, because you don't pay any fees for renting the venue, you simply use their in house catering. My guests raved about the food and unique location, and I would HIGHLY recommend it! Shauna was a wonderful help, and I couldn't have asked for better! The ONLY thing we weren't ecstatic about was having to pay a tuning fee to move the piano closer to the deck for our outside ceremony - but that's it!! I definitely would use this venue again, and hope that you do, too!

We had many guests coming from out of town and the Skansonia was the perfect setting for a Seattle Wedding. Nothing beats the view of the city skyline and Space Needle! They allow you to bring your own alcohol, which saved us a lot of money. I thought the food was OK, but my guests raved about how good the food was. My only complaints are that you can only book the boat for 5 hours, including the one hour setup time, since they usually have 2 events per day. Also the speakers are only set up on the side of the dance floor, so you can't hear the music during dinner.

While perusing Yelp.com I wasn't expecting an old vintage ferryboat to pique my interest in terms of a wedding venue even though it is so very fitting for the NW Seattle wedding. The Skansonia would have made five stars but due to sub par beef medallions and a sometimes less than pleasant to work with onsite catering manager, Tamara, it gets an honest four. The old boat is so classic and beautiful and unexpected, even. All our guests loved the location!

The staff was very accomodating and open to various family and friends dropping off wine and flowers and the cake before the wedding (technically before our rental time began). It was one of the stormiest nights of the winter and the staff made everyone feel comfortable and warm.;Trying to get ahold of the staff prior to the wedding week tended to include a bit of phone tag.

It was interesting and unique. People from out of town really enjoyed being on the water with a view of the city on a ferry. Since it was a nice day people enjoyed being outside. The ferry is docked people could leave whenever they wanted. The upstairs was easy to escape to after the ceremony for pictures and such.;Some guests will have to park a ways away and walk on a gravel path. There are a few disabled spots, but if you have lots of elderly people it might be a problem. There is a drop off area. The food is only ok, and you must use their catering.

Beautiful view of the Seattle skyline and Lake Union. Great for all of our out of town guests to experience Seattle. Food was great and the staff was good to work with for the most part. Our original wedding ceremony site got rained out and they worked with us to have it on the boat - it turned out fantastic.;My only issue with the site was that they forgot to set out some of the things we brought ahead of time - disposable cameras and guest book for example. So it is best to have someone there to oversee some of those details.

The location right on Lake Union with views of downtown. Antique setting. Something different on an old ferry boat well decorated.;They say they will give you left over food but we had less guest than intisipated and after all the staff ate we saw then throwing away food and we got all most no left overs. Which were looking forward to since we didn't get to eat more than a bite.
