The North Church Venue is a historic wedding venue located in Muncie, IN. This beautiful building was constructed in 1902 and initially used as the community’s place of worship. In 2019, a family purchased the abandoned property and converted it into a breathtaking backdrop for momentous occasions. This stunning location will provide an unforgettable experience for your special day.
Having retained most of the original architecture, The North Church Venue features exposed brick walls, tall vaulted ceilings, arched doorways, and stained glass windows. Newly added decorations include elegant ball jars on the walls, manhole covers in the bathrooms, and unique furniture and lighting that gives the space a gothic vibe. This building is ideal for hosting your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, meaning you and your guests can relax here for the entire day. Ornate wooden staircases lead to balconies overlooking the main area, and polished wood-paneled floors provide a beautiful terrain for marital festivities. Outside you can find a charming garden area decorated with plants and antique furniture where you can catch a breath of fresh air. There’s room for up to 200 of your loved ones to come witness your wedding celebration. Private suites are also available for you and your wedding party to prepare for the big day ahead. This spacious venue is ideal for live entertainment and dancing, so you and your guests can delight in the wedding of your dreams.
The North Church Venue offers wedding packages so you can find the right service for your special occasion. Their team will happily carry out the setup and cleanup of your event, and can also supply a list of esteemed vendors. Your caterers can use this building’s kitchen space and refrigerators so they can provide an impeccable experience, too. The rental of furniture such as chairs, barstools, and tables can all be arranged with this venue, so you have one less thing to worry about.

The venue owners do not care for the safety of the wedding party. There were leaks throughout the venue that Megan was aware of. She did not do anything about them which could have been a safety issue, someone could have slipped and fell. We were also kicked out before the night was even over. They did not give any warnings whatsoever. On top of that, they had called the cops before they even let the bride and groom know that we had to leave. I would not recommend to anyone. It was absolutely terrible service.

Absolutely, terrible service! How do you kick an entire wedding party out of a venue, mid-celebration?! How do you run a venue and host someone on their BIG DAY, then turn around and kick them out before their night is even over?! Weddings are supposed to be one of the happiest days of one’s life and the owners completely ruined this for my friends! All the guests were from out of state!! The couple both serve in the Military, and had traveling guests from ALL over, and the owners not only kicked everyone out before their booking was up, they always called the cops to have us all removed from the property! The officers even felt terrible for having to evacuate everyone. No one was arrested, no one was found to be in any trouble whatsoever, the venue owners kept my friends money and we literally had no time to even pack up belongings or even call Ubers for the guests. The owners even had the audacity to call the neighboring bar down the street and tell them not to let us in. It just blows my mind how you could ruin what is suppose to be someone’s happiest/biggest day!!! Shame on you!!! I would NOT recommend this place to my worst enemy. Terrible and heartless people.

Hi Jake,
Our number one priority is the safety of our guests, staff, and vendors. We do no...
t allow illegal drug use, alcohol consumption by minors, abuse of the bar, and destruction of property. With over 100 weddings, we have never had to involve the police nor have we had to ask guests to leave. The police became involved when a member of the bridal party became belligerent and our safety was compromised. This decision was forced upon us after numerous attempts to warn the bridal party, bride, and groom that they were in breech of our contract. This was our absolute last resort and it was an unfortunate situation for all involved.
Feel free to contact me with any other concerns.

If you plan on having ANY alcohol at your wedding DO NOT use this venue. I can not express the poor management we received from Megan and Sarah.
