Stephanie and The Pierpont Inn Staff helped make our wedding day so beautiful and seamless. We had a beautiful ceremony in the Rose Garden, followed by a cocktail hour in the Camulos Room and a reception in the Pavillion. Everything at the Pierpont is laid out so perfectly. The Inn's catered food and beverages were excellent. One of best places in Ventura to tie the knot! Highly recommend!
I was so happy that the day went so smoothly at the Pierpont! The grounds are gorgeous, and the Rose Garden was a perfect spot for our 100 person wedding. The food was delicious! The staff was so sweet and helpful! The cottage was so charming and a perfect place to get ready and stay for our first night as newlyweds! Stephanie did an amazing job with helping me plan, and she was so attentive even in the midst of the busy season! Everyone raved about our wedding, the location is perfect, I couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out! :) ps- the renovations are awesome and keep the historic character of the place!
We got married at the Pierpont Inn in June 2017. The venue is amazing -- we used the Rose Garden for the ceremony, cocktail hour overlooking the ocean, and then the main indoor hall for the reception. The grounds were very well kept and the site was just gorgeous. The only reason I left a slightly lower rating was because, by no fault of either of theirs, the original venue coordinator we were working with left (Nicole) and we got a new one (Stephanie) about halfway through the planning stages and it was slightly frustrating to make sure nothing got lost in translation between the two coordinators. The reception area was in construction when we booked but supposed to be done by the wedding, however, it wasn't. They did a pretty good job of masking the construction area but that was a bummer it wasn't complete. On the wedding day there was only one minor slip up with the food (evening snacks weren't prepped early enough) but that was a minor detail in the otherwise amazing wedding day we had. The best part of this venue is the adjacent hotel (great for out-of-town guests!!) and the large house on the site that can be rented via other home rental sites. My family booked that and stayed there the week of the wedding and it was perfect planning. They should definitely market that house as an "option" for the wedding planning... it's a great amenity! If I were to do the day over again, I would still choose the Pierpont Inn!
After 2 years of engagement, my fiance and I decided to get married at the Pierpoint Inn in Ventura. After searching up and down the central coast, we couldn't have landed at a better spot, both in price and location. The coordinator, Stephanie Lundquist, was extremely accommodating in helping us put together everything we needed for the perfect wedding, all while staying within budget. The food options were excellent. The wait staff was prompt and professional. Plus, they lavished us with bonuses, including a free stay at one of their cottages. If you're looking to get married in the area, I couldn't recommend this location and its attentive staff highly enough.
From beginning to end the staff at The Pierpont Inn turned our dream wedding into a reality. Nicole was so easy to work with she was very informative, responsive and reassuring throughout the whole process. She listened to all of our ideas and let us make our day truly unique. The day of, Nicole as well as the banquet staff made the entire event seamless. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful in person as well as in photos. We did not have to worry about anything as we knew we were in good hands. I would recommend The Pierpont Inn to any couple!
We loved our experience with Jecca and her staff at The Pierpont Inn. The staff was professional. The food was excellent and the venue was beautiful. Jecca was always available to answer questions and made us feel like everything was taken care of. This place was also wonderful because our guests were from out of town, so everything was in one place. The rooms were fantastic and being close to the beach just enhanced the weekend for everyone. We really enjoyed our experience and couldn't have pictured our big day anywhere else.
The Pierpont Inn is fabulous for a wedding venue! My husband and I wanted a beach view for our venue and the Pierpont’s Beach Bluff is stunning. Although, you can hear the 101 traffic, it isn’t noticeable when everyone is chatting and the music is playing. The venue has a great flow from the ceremony, to cocktail hour to the reception. Along with the beauty of the venue, it is convenient for everyone. Our guests were thrilled by the location and grounds and guests who didn’t stay had an easy time finding parking and could leave their car if necessary.
As many people know, The Pierpont Inn is going through construction, but it really isn’t noticeable. The hotel has made great efforts to hide the construction and work on other areas of the hotel, like the landscaping. The flowers, grass and outdoor area looked beautiful.
Although the construction did make things a little nerve racking, the Event Planner, Nicole, eased all of my concerns. She was amazing! She returned all emails in a very timely manner, helped myself and parents with questions multiple times, and organized a perfect day. More times than not, she would anticipate my questions and have an answer for me immediately. Yes there were some bumps in the planning process, but they were minor and I trusted that Nicole would handle any and everything that came our way. Also, her assistant Jecca, was always very nice and available to step in and help too!
The Pierpont Inn felt like they actually cared about the wedding and the execution. Myself and family didn’t feel like we were working with a corporate machine, which was great. All of the staff at the wedding were so kind and friendly. Also, in our bridal suite we had a very sweet gift basket with a hand signed card from them!
I would 100% recommend The Pierpont Inn to anyone getting married in Ventura. It is affordable, beautiful and has an amazing staff!
Thank you for making my day perfect!
I really have three reviews of the Pierpont.
The first is for the service and location for my daughter's wedding at the rose garden, and reception at the Pavillion, on Saturday evening, Oct 8th.
My daughter and I, worked with Jecca Schmidt at the Inn on all the arrangements. Jecca is extremely professional, and easy to work with. When she said my daughter would have a perfect day, she was not kidding!
We paid a per person rate, which included so much. Passed appetizers, a cocktail hour (you pay for alcohol), a complimentary suite for the bride and groom, champagne toast, plated or buffet dinner (we chose plated with filet mignon and lemon chicken), two bottles of wine per table (the red was Coppola Claret, which is my favorite), as well as beautiful table settings, and a fabulous staff. There was not ONE problem, and the evening was perfect! Between the Inn's staff, and the wedding coordinator who carried out the timeline, I had a stress free day, and was a guest at my daughter's wedding.
The second review is regarding my cousin's stay at the Inn for 4 nights. They had traveled from Scotland to attend the wedding, and had booked in at the Inn. The rooms have been remodeled to bring them up to today's standards, and they raved about the staff and food at the restaurant. He said everything was excellent, and everyone was so nice.
The third review is regarding the Spa House on the Inn property. You can rent it out through VRBO. I decided to put some of my family up there, so we rented it for a week. Although it is an older home, it is huge, with 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. The hotel owns the home, and although they cannot remodel it due to its historic status, they have furnished it with wonderful beds, and flat screen TV's, as well as all the other comforts of home. It was perfect. You have access to the pool and restaurant as well. My guests from the east coast, enjoyed hanging out at the pool with the kids, and even ordered food from the restaurant, which the staff delivered to them poolside. They said the ahi sandwich and salads were excellent.
All in all, it was an amazing week at the Pierpont Inn. I HIGHLY recommend the Pavillion for any special occasion, and the hotel and restaurant for dinner.
Wyndham Garden, thank you for breathing new life into this old gem of a place. I cannot wait until the restoration of the historic part is complete!!!
We had both our wedding ceremony and reception at the Pierpont Inn in Ventura, CA. Nicole and Jecca worked with us every step of the way - we planned out wedding from the east coast, but planning with them was easy! On the wedding day the staff took care of everything, from laying flower petals down the aisle, to setting up our cupcakes during the ceremony. They even made sure we were able to eat a bit of everything by serving us (we had a buffet) - this was really nice since time really flew by! We stayed the night at their small cottage and it was beautiful. We highly recommend The Pierpont Inn for your wedding/celebration!
Nicole Peters at the Pierpont Inn was such a pleasure to work with. She offered suggestions, listened to our needs and made adjustments to have our reception at the Inn go perfectly. We rented the house next to the reception building and that made all the set up and organization much easier. Would highly recommend this venue and the opportunity to work with Nicole.
I held my daughters wedding at the Wyndham Garden Ventura Pierpont Inn last weekend. What a perfect venue. They were married in the Rose garden. It was magical. Nicole and Jecca helped organize the event. They were so organized. The communication was outstanding. They answered questions before I even thought to ask them. The reception area was perfect. Everything was set up on time exactly how we pictured it. The entire staff including servers were polite and professional. Guests raved about the food. We reserved a block of rooms for out of town guests who were all completely thrilled with their accommodations. The bridal party stayed in the Vickers Estate the night before which was a perfect spot for all the bridesmaids to get ready. The 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom estate provided plenty of room for the girls to do their hair and makeup and for photos to be taken. I highly recommend this venue for an event.
I 100% recommend The Pierpont Inn venue. First off Nicole Peters and staff were a dream to work with. I have ever felt so taken care of in my life. Nicole is organized, always willing to chat about the big day and is very accommodating. She is also a all around wonderful person with a friendly smile. The Rose Garden where we were married is beautiful. I felt like I was in a fairy tale. The reception site called The Pavilion. This is a beautiful building with its exposed beams and twinkle lights. It made the romantic feel come to life. The food was also amazing. Everyone was served at once and all the food was warm on delivery. It was one of the best filets I have ever had. Our day went smooth and we didn't have one hick up. Definitely check out this venue and I promise you will fall in love!
The Pierpont Inn was an incredible place to have a wedding! Between the beautiful Rose Garden for the ceremony and the Pavilion for the reception, it was a perfect day. Working with Nicole Peters and Jesus was a pleasure and they made it so easy and fun to plan our wedding. The staff working the reception was attentive and worked efficiently, the food was the perfect temperature when it came out and the drinks were always topped off. I'd defiintely recommend the Pierpont to anyone who wants a beautiful California wedding!
I recently had a party at Pierpont. Could not have picked a better location. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had all we needed to make our event a success. Whenever we want to have an event... We know where to go. Pierpont Inn!
We booked a block of rooms in August 2013 for some wedding guests from out of town, and were very pleased with the Pierpont. They are under new management, and from what we can tell this new management is doing a great job at restoring and improving the place. Many of the rooms have been renovated, and the rest will be soon too. So some of the rooms still seem a bit outdated, but shouldn’t be for long. All our guests mentioned that the beds were very comfortable, even in the rooms that haven’t been redone yet (memory foam we think), and there was a pretty extensive and good hot breakfast included every morning at no additional charge. The location is fabulous, right on the beach. If you’re thinking of staying here, you should also know it’s right next to the 101 freeway, but honestly when I was around visiting guests in various rooms, I couldn’t hear the noise from most of them. We would also like to compliment Severine (a manager I believe) because of how helpful she was with our group. We actually reserved the block of rooms with the interim management, who made a mistake. The Pierpont normally doesn’t allow reserving blocks except for events on the grounds (our wedding was off-site). But when we called to confirm the block with the new management, Severine was able to honor our reservation even though they technically didn’t have to. She continued to be a great help to us in answering all my emails very promptly, and then passing out our welcome packets to our guests as they checked in. The Pierpont is a beautiful old Craftsman building with a lot of character and charm. Ask for a quiet, renovated room, and you won’t be disappointed!
I had my wedding here, and it was magical. The rose garden where the ceremony was held is beautiful, and away from freeway noise. The cocktail hour area provided a fantastic view for our guests while they mingled. And the reception hall was perfect. Hardwood floors, lovely lighting, updated chairs and linens. Our guests could not stop commenting how delicious the food was. Get this- as part of the package they provide, a sit down dinner is served with BOTH chicken and filet mignon! I encourage every bride to check this place out. The value is amazing for all the things you get in the package. It includes 2-3 night stay for bride and groom and entire wedding party. We are so pleased with our wedding at this location. There were some "hiccoughs" surrounding the ceremony (almost a missing microphone and the train that comes by at 5:20 on the dot!) but these can be avoided if you can be punctual (which we were not) and if you arrange certain things with your DJ. Overall, a great time, a beautiful wedding venue, and GREAT value. Highly recommended.
