Lindsay (Rapids coordinator) was so helpful with all venue questions leading up to and including the day of the wedding. Maureen (Rich’s catering coordinator) has her staff set everything up beautifully. The wedding went perfectly, everyone keeps telling me it was the most beautiful wedding they’ve been to. Loved the red chairs, vintage feeling, and dance floor. Had about 100 guests and it was perfect size for our party. Would book again in a heartbeat. Zero regrets.
Had our wedding here a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it!! The atmosphere was great, and the staff is so easy to work with (even when we had crazy decorating ideas, etc.)! We got rave reviews from our guests too! 100% recommend!!
My husband and I got married at Rapids Theatre on 7-7-17. I cannot say enough about how incredible the venue was! Our guests were absolutely blown away and have not stopped talking about it how impressed they were! The venue looks vastly different than it does for concerts....much, much shinier and cleaner! And the lighting! Even the pictures don't do it justice. Absolutely breathtaking! The staff was so attentive, especially to the bridal party. They made sure that we were on schedule and always had everything that we needed to make the night run smoothly. Lindsey was SO helpful in the planning stage. She was always available for questions and gave us great advice. I am SO thankful that we decided to have our wedding at Rapids. Truly the best day of our lives!
I really don't even know where to start with this place, it was so amazing!! When I was originally looking at venues I was mainly thinking vineyards and the knot suggested Rapids to me so I thought I would check it out. First of all the venue looks amazing!! I fell in love with it once I saw it!! It has a magnificent ceiling piece, a nice theatre feel with amazing lighting options. Some of my review things may apply to both Rapids and the catering service they have there through Rich's because they worked seamlessly on a lot of things together to make our wedding day perfect. At Rapids you have someone there working with you to make your day the most perfect, and I had the amazing pleasure of working with Lindsay. I have to admit, the venue looked amazing, but Lindsay is probably 80-90% of why I chose this venue in the beginning. She was so accommodating, lovely, and dedicated...she is exactly what you would want a person to be who is going to be helping you through this process. Now when I say she goes above and beyond is an understatement. I mean she gives out her cell phone number so you can reach her whenever!! Let's just recall a couple of the things (though there are more) she did that she definitely did not have to: 1-even though I was not having my ceremony at Rapids I thought I would ask Lindsay (the week of the wedding mind you) if she had an easel I could use to put my sign on for my ceremony...she hunted one down at Rapids and gave it to me gladly. It saved my rear from having to hunt one down and probably pay for it myself. 2-I had Converse to wear for my reception and I stupidly forgot socks...no problem for Lindsay! I have no clue if she ran out to get them or what, but before too long she came back with a new pair of socks!! Besides Lindsay's amazingness, the venue also makes a lot of the reception details go by so smoothly. I dropped off everything at the Theatre at our final meeting a couple days before the wedding. I simply explained how I wanted all the decorations and other things set up, and they take care of the rest. And I am not gonna lie, I was nervous about leaving it to someone else to do (that's just my personality), but you have to believe me when I say that they set up everything exactly how I wanted, and some even better than I expected!! The venue also has a livestreaming camera that shows your cake cutting, dances, and just everyone dancing on screens through the night. This is also where you can choose to do a slideshow (which I did not), but they showed our names and the date on a background matching our colors in the beginning when the guests were coming in. Another extra tidbit, my mom realized the next day that she had lost her gold bracelet that night. She had given up hope (or didn't really have any to begin with) that she would get it back....that is until she went back to pick up our things from Rapids. They handed over the bracelet having found it and figuring it was one of our guest's. My mom cannot stop telling me how amazing they are for finding and returning her bracelet. Lastly, you may be nervous that Rich's (their caterer) doesn't do food tastings, but let me just say you won't be disappointed! The venue was just perfect and I am still getting compliments about it, and imagine I will be for a long time to come. I highly highly recommend this venue to anyone that asks. The reception was so fantastic, and we have Rapids Theatre to thank for a big part of that!!
I am not even sure where to begin. The Rapids Theatre was the most perfect venue for my wedding day on April 8th. Lindsay was amazing to work with, and I am going to miss working with her now that my wedding day is over. She responded to my questions in a timely manner and made sure that I had everything I needed.
The venue itself is BEAUTIFUL. My guests could not get over how amazing everything was and many were asking me where I found this beautiful venue. Rapids and Lindsay are very accommodating and work with you to make sure that you have everything that you want to make your special day AMAZING. I highly recommend Rapids Theatre; it is so unique and beautiful. The lighting, sound system and staff are phenomenal along with many other reviews on here about the ceiling- it is breathtaking! Who else can say that they got married on a stage?!?
My husband and I have no complaints whatsoever- we had an amazing time and we cannot thank Rapids Theatre and Lindsay enough for making our special day so perfect. If you are getting married in the future please take some time to see Rapids Theatre- it is perfect for your special day!

The Rapids Theatre exceeded all of our expectations! It was truly magical from the beautiful lighting and welcoming space to our golden fireworks on stage at our kiss. Guests of every age continue to rave about the wedding and it's thanks to the wonderful staff. Whenever we had a question Lindsay responded right away and provided a degree of support and care I will be forever grateful for. Her genuine kindness is possibly exceeded only by her attentiveness and competence. This is a wonderful place and I'm so happy we trusted them with our wedding!
Our wedding was amazing! And not just because I'm the bride. From the start the rapids and Rich's catering crew were fantastic. I live in LA and had to do all my venue hunting from afar. Working in entertainment I wanted a venue to reflect my and my husband's lifestyle. The minute I saw The Rapids website I called my mom and sent her to take a look. Trusting she knew my taste, she called and said it was perfect. Not just because of the beauty of the space, but because Marie was so welcoming and helpful.
Marie is the owner, but she also acts as wedding planner during your day. When she told me "if something goes wrong you won't even know about it." I knew I had chosen right. I wanted a day where I could just sit back and be pampered. Not be stressed over where's the cake, that's not the right centerpiece, etc. And That is what happened. I arrived at the venue to champagne, fruit and cheese. In my own green room away from all the commotion. I can be a control freak, but I didn't have to be because I trusted Marie from the start. She got to know my family, how we work and what our style is. Go to the Rapids! Even if it's just for a concert. They have done a fantastic job preserving such a beautiful theater, that could have easily fallen into disrepair.

This is Western NY's best wedding reception venue BY FAR! It is beautiful, vibrant, elegant, and perfectly laid out for the reception of your dreams. And it isn't the cookie cutter reception hall you're so accustomed to. What's more is that they have made the perfect team with their exclusive caterer, Rich's Catering. I'll be honest, when I pulled up outside for the first time at this venue in Niagara Falls, NY, I was skeptical. The area isn't the greatest because of how blighted that city is in general. (Although the police station is right next door, so it is totally safe!) But that made the surprising beauty and elegance of the interior of the venue that much better! Marie, the owner, thinks of this place as her baby and personally attends each reception to make sure everything goes without a hitch. Between Marie and Steve (from Rich's), every detail is perfectly coordinated and so impressive! It's like having two wedding planner/coordinators included in the price of the venue/catering. If I could do it all over, I would, because I had such a wonderful, relaxed time at our wedding! But obviously, I would stick with my decision to use Rapids and Rich's! They were delightful. Even down to the small details of the entire staff being attentive and making sure we always had a drink in our hands so we didn't have to break conversation or leave the dance floor, even without asking. Everything from large details like decor to small items like place cards were exquisitely done. On top of all this, your DJ gets to plug into the concert quality sound system (this is also an amazing concert venue), you get a lighting engineer, AND a sound engineer, all to make sure everything looks and sounds amazing on your big day! I can't say enough about The Rapids Theatre, Rich's Catering, Marie Hutchins, or Steve Guagliardi. Our day was perfect, and I wouldn't change a thing. Don't book anywhere until you've seen this place for yourself!
Our wedding was just PERFECT thanks to Marie and the entire staff of the Rapids. We were looking for a venue that was different from the generic "hall" and found the Rapids simply by googling "unique wedding venues"... The interior is restored and absolutely gorgeous, the staff is beyond outstanding, and the price is reasonable... I could go on and on about this place, but it wouldn't do a justice - call Marie and make an appointment for a walk through or check them out on Facebook... If you're looking for something a little different without sacrificing a-plus service, you won't be disappointed!
Wonderful venue if you are looking for a reception or event site with personality. Staff is friendly and accommodating.
I cannot say better things about Marie and her staff at Rapids! I had to add them to this site just to be able to give them the reivew they deserve. She listened to every little request, her attention to detail is impeccable and best of all, SOOO easy to work with! I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for something new and unique, and who loves a perfect wedding reception!
