The Robert Treat was the worst choice I made when planning my wedding. They did a horrible job and William the event planner didn't keep the promises he made. The food was horrible, the staff was unprofessional, our guest check-in process was unorganized. The table clothes were dirty and wrinkled. The glass wear had smudges and didn't match. The waitstaff was a bunch of children with no proper training.
DO NOT GET MARRIED AT THE ROBERT TREAT HOTEL.
This benue was right inthe heart of downtown newark, and it was easy for my family and friend from NY to get to. The Banquet Manager Nocle Washington was very helpful and accomodation from the day we booked right up until my special day, and for that I'm sooo greatful!
a year long planning process with all its ups and downs, the robert treat hotel was very accommodating for the hall. my only advise is to please read everything in detail, go over your contracts every time u meet with mr gibson and keep a copy of everything.
they were able to provide a sit down dinner in their grand ballroom for over 800 of my guests. they met with me during the reception to make sure i was happy with how everything turned out. i do appreciate their assistance and patience through the planning process.
The aspect that I loved most of the reception venue was flexibility in enabling us to provide outside catering services (our traditional menu) and committed wait staff.;The Director of Food & Beverages was unpleasant to our caterer and wedding coordinator; he was difficult to work with.
