The Royal Ridge Weddings

***Long Post Alert*** Royal Ridge wedding venue 0/5 would never recommend! This was the most stressful experience of my life as a new bride! Starting off the communication was basically non-existent! After multiple attempts to contact I was either ignored or brushed off, I did not feel prioritized leading up to my big day. We booked the Ridge location in 6/10/23 and we were told 10/23/24 that she “double booked” the venue our wedding was supposed to be at on 11/2/24. We had already met with her to discuss how we wanted everything to look and was never told anything about her double booking. We were forced to move locations and There were no other options given. The only compensation we got was her paying for rehearsal dinner and we stayed at the air bnb and extra night outside of what we originally paid for! ( we tried to book the extra night previously and she told us it was booked. Then after her mess up it was available. She’s very unorganized) The other list of things she tried to compensate us with we honestly didn’t need due to it being 10 days before my wedding and everything had already been payed for and set in place. When telling her this she proceeded to over talk and turn the blame onto me, saying “it’s your number of guest” after she confirmed that everything would be fine when I gave her my guest list. Now onto the Airbnb. When we pulled up there were people from another wedding walking out of the the Airbnb and up the stairs saying there were locked out of the bridal suite so she had to come through the house that WE PAID FOR just to get to the suite. The master had had no door handles leading to outside so it left two open holes, the only part of the master shower that worked was the hand held part, the downstairs (where we had kids sleeping) door would not lock, the fridge was disgusting and DID NOT WORK , the dishwasher smelled like something died in it or sewage, there are uncovered LIVE wires sticking out from behind the tv in the living area, I tried to plug in the tv because it would not turn on I was shocked while doing so. ***And finally the FORREST CREEK VENUE that we were forced to move to** The day of my wedding my family got there early to get things together and realized that the chairs and chargers were dirty, the chairs and aisle were not set up, the alter wasn’t done, the candles didn’t have batteries. when they brought it up to their attention that things were dirty she stated “it’s a barn so it’s gonna be dirty”, she then turned around with an attitude and yelled “well do you want me to do it”. The staff she had decorating left the venue unfinished to go finish another venue and my wedding was set to start at 4pm leaving my family to finish everything! her staff is just as unprofessional and rude as she is. There were no signs that she promised, we had to make signs out of boxes which caused us the start late since EVERYONE were getting lost. There was no running water in the bar area for the caterers and bartenders. And the road leading to the venue is HORRIBLE!! My wedding turned out beautiful thanks to my family and friends picking up the slack and stepping in to finish up what the Owner and her staff did not do since my wedding was not a priority for them. Before deciding to book this venue I would suggest reading the reviews and the fine print of the contract! It states that she can change venues at her discretion at according to past reviews she uses that as an advantage often.
