- Bailie SchwartzSales ManagerBailie is from Grantsville, West Virginia, where she graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelors in Multidisciplinary Studies, focusing on Public Relations, Communications, and Event Planning. After graduating, Bailie gained experience in catering sales and leading events at places such as Gaylord Opryland, InterContinental Kansas City, and The Maverick. With extensive wedding planning experience, Bailie supported curating special memories with clients alike at the well-known Maverick. Her little touches and charming personality will be your first and last touch for your special day. Bailie is now ready for a new chapter in Charleston and is so excited for new adventures to come! Recently married, she loves to travel with her husband and explore new restaurants. She also enjoys working out and being with her two golden retrievers, Nala and Winnie.
- Cornelious MartinetArea Director of Catering & EventsCornelious began his hospitality career in 2016 as a guest services associate at Bellows Lodge in Waimanalo, Hawaii. In the spring of 2017, he was selected to participate in the Disney College Program at Walt Disney World, where he acquired numerous valuable skills that he continues to use today. After completing the internship, he moved to Savannah, Georgia, where he spent over three years working in various departments with Hilton. Cornelious later took on a part-time role in events while managing multiple departments full-time at The Red Fox Inn & Tavern, the oldest continuously operated inn in the United States. He then ventured back to Savannah as the Catering Sales & Conference Services Manager for Mansion on Forsyth Park, where he sold, planned, and executed large events for luxury clients. In this role, he had the most exciting and rewarding part of his career, managing group events for 150-200 guests. With a passion for weddings, Cornelious is thrilled to welcome couples to Emeline, The Ryder, and Hank's Social Hall, offering his wedding expertise and unparalleled guest service throughout the planning process.

Wow! I cannot say enough wonderful things about our event at the Ryder Hotel. This past weekend we hosted a Bridesmaid Brunch in the backyard and from the moment we arrived we were greeted with welcoming arms and so many helping hands. Cameron at the valet quickly unloaded all the decorations we had for the event and made sure it was seamless arriving and parking. Our bartender and event manager the day of made sure that each guest had everything they needed (even making sure the kids were treated to warm hot cocoa). The day could not have been better!! And leading up to the event and post event the team of Catherine and Bailie were the best. They helped plan everything and made great suggestions for the menu and decor. All the guest could not stop raving about how it was a winter wonderland! Thank you everyone at the Ryder Hotel for truly going above and beyond. I would recommend this venue and staff for any event moving forward :)

In late June 2024, my girlfriend at the time and I moved to Charleston, SC. We had visited the Ryder before and it has always been one of our favorite spots to grab a drink or dinner because of the level of service and the delicious food/drinks! Little did my girlfriend know, after the move, I was searching for a location around Charleston to propose and where to have an after party for the engagement. This was such a special and important moment in our lives, and Bailie, Catherine and the entire Ryder / Little Palm staff made it one of the most memorable nights of our lives. I worked with Bailie and Catherine for months leading up to the event and then couldn't have been more helpful and attentive the entire way. I had tons of questions for them and they always got back to me in a timely fashion and with attention to detail. The venue and the customization of how it was assembled for our 30-person group was perfect in every way. If you are hosting an event, large or small, please get in touch with this group!!! They are the best in the business and we will always be thankful for them + the night they gave us. 10/10 would recommend!

We are Charleston locals and decided to get married in Charleston May 2024. We had a lot of options to choose from but they Ryder was THE PERFECT choice for our smaller wedding (70ppl).
We hosted our welcome cocktail party in the backyard courtyard (just the half with the bar) and it was a hit- intimate, upbeat and fun atmosphere. The space itself is beautiful, especially at twilight and night, so we did not feel the need to bring in additional decor - only flowers and signage which was great.
We used the hotel as our base for the wedding party and out of town guest it was the perfect location and the room block made it a "more" affordable options for our OOT guest compared to 90% of the other hotels nearby. Can not beat the location, value and price!
Make sure to inquire about their bridal suite, available exclusively for special events and groups with a room block. I initially missed it when looking at their website. It was huge, had great lighting for getting ready/photos and was a cozy space to come back to all weekend.
The staff was very friendly and the event coordinators, shout out to Bailie, were great to work with. Could not be happier about choosing the Ryder for our special day.
