The Savvy Bride is a unique Bridal Boutique that sells sample designer wedding gowns straight off-the-rack. Our prices are up to 50% off retail prices and are all under $1999! We carry sizes ranging 0-22 (bridal sizes 6-26). These wedding dresses have not been worn in an actual wedding but just tried on in other upscale bridal boutiques. Not only are we focused on not breaking the bank for a dress but we are also focused on our brides having a great experience! That is why we only have one bride at a time in the boutique. It's like a brides own private shopping experience where you can relax and have fun finding your dream dress! If you want a gorgeous designer dress but don't want to pay a lot of money, then make an appointment today!

Erica was phenomenal to work with, she listened to what I envisioned and even went beyond with educated suggestions on what would look good on me. I found my dream dress which was a style I didn't even think would work but with her gentle guidance we landed on something absolutely beautiful. I would reccomend her hands down to anyone as the best!

I found Erica online and made an appointment to look at wedding dresses with my mom. Erica carefully listened to what I wanted and provided a variety of reasonable priced options. I wasn't 100% sure on what style dress I wanted and she took the time to find me the perfect fit. She steamed the dress before pick up and even provided us with a seamstress for alterations that we ended up using. Wonderful shop and customer service!

We recently went to The Savvy Bride and was absolutely blown away by Erica and her shop! Not only do you get private appointments with her complete attention, but you also get a wonderfully set up boutique. There was a spacious dressing room (which makes a huge difference while trying on several gowns) and my entire party had a comfortable space to sit and watch all the options I tried on. Erica was extremely helpful in picking out gowns for me and there wasn’t a single one I tried on that I didn’t like. She listened to everything I described about my ideal dress and hand picked several options until I found the perfect one! I would highly recommend The Savvy Bride to anyone as you will not be disappointed!! Thanks again to Erica, it was a pleasure!!

I hate paying full retail and my wedding was going to be no different. I couldn't see spending an obscene amount of money on a dress I would only be wearing once. That being said I still wanted, like any bride, to feel and look amazing on my wedding day. After scouring reviews of various bridal salons I decided I would check out the Savvy Bride first. It would be my first and my last salon I stepped into. From the moment you walk in for your appointment Erica (the owner) will make you and your party feel at ease. The dress selection is incredible. And Erica's ability to read a bride is truly a gift. I had provided a brief description of what i was looking for, what I liked, and what I didn't like prior to the appointment. When we arrived Erica already had some dresses pulled and ready to try on. Every single dress was stunning and fun in their own way. With each dress Erica would hang back to allow me time to decide how I felt about it. My party would then get to weigh in. She was focused on listening to how I was feeling about each dress, never pushing her opinion. We narrowed it down to 3, one even being a style I originally hadn't considered. When we got it down to 2 - one all lace, one all sparkle - she could see I was torn between having straps and having sparkle. This was the one time she politely offered her opinion and echoed what one of my bridesmaids had been dying to say. I was definitely a sparkle girl. A quick grab of a beaded belt held over my should to mimic a strap the seamstress she recommended could easily add, and that was it. That was the dress. Right on budget and absolutely perfect for me, my venue, and my day.

Erica is amazing! I filled out her questionnaire before my visit and asked to try on A-line silhouettes with no sparkle or lace. She pulled some dresses for me before I arrived, and the first one in the room for me was fitted with lots of lace and sparkle. She said to trust the process, so I did! It was the first wedding dress I ever tried on, and I came back to purchase her after shopping around at a few other places just to see what else was out there. Erica knows best; trust the process!

After checking out multiple bridal shops, the Savvy Bride was my last stop. I was in sort of a rush to get a dress, and finding something I didn't have to order was key. Erica helped me find the perfect dress for me. I had saved similar photos online and after a few options, she nailed it. Erica makes sure to only purchase the best of the best quality and has a variety of options and styles to choose from. Not only that, but she was able to immediately get me in contact with someone who does alternations in my town... over an hour away near Poughkeepsie, NY. This person ended up being incredibly talented, kind, and fun to work with. Shop local with Erica. She's amazing and so is her shop. Thanks so much for making my wedding dress dreams come true!

I purchased my dress back in December from the Savvy Bride. It was recommended to me by a friend that purchased their dress for their wedding years prior. Erica was so wonderful to work with and accommodating. She was patient, kind, and helped me find the most perfect dress. Her shop has so many beautiful gowns that are so well taken care of, and tons of options within different price ranges. I would highly recommend Savvy Bride!

Loved Erica so much - my mom and aunt couldn’t get over how awesome she was. She did not pressure me AT ALL and made me my family feel super relaxed and comfortable. She was able to narrow down what I liked easily and allowed me to move as fast and slow as I wanted. She was knowledgeable, friendly and confident. I tried on so many beautiful gowns that I loved and ultimately bought my my dress there and she was my first and only shop. Highly highly recommend!

Let me begin my review by stating that I used to work as a bridal assistant at another bridal boutique in CT, so I am familiar with the environment and process of wedding dress shopping. Erica was my first and only stop shopping for wedding dresses. I had three other appointments with local CT shops that I promptly cancelled after visiting her store! She opened her shop for us and we were the only ones in the store, so we had her undivided attention. I had gone on the Instagram account for her shop and liked some photos of dresses. Erica had seen this and had a selection waiting for me curated to my style. we tried on maybe 6-8 dresses. I loved several. the final dress was one she pulled based on her understanding of my must-haves. I have to say, if was the perfect dress. Erica has incredible instincts and taste when it comes to dress selection. I said "yes!" and was able to take my dress home with me that day. Erica was very conscientious of our budget and helped me stay true to our target price point. She was a great balance of attentive as well as giving me privacy to change. I was very comfortable and felt like I was in great hands! I had a wonderful experience. I would recommend The Savvy Bride over and over again! Thank you Erica!

I heard about The Savvy Bride through family. After reading up on Erica’s story and seeing her inventory of dresses online, I hoped that I would find my dress here – and I did! I had to reschedule my appointment once or twice with no issue. The pre-visit questionnaire was thorough and gave Erica insight into my style and preferences. I loved the one-on-one appointment because it felt more personable than being one of a dozen brides at another bridal shop. She was present and also gave space, which was a perfect mix. Erica fits you to sizes that are similar to your current size in order to give you a realistic image of what you’ll look like on your wedding day. The second I put my dress on (naturally, it was the very last one I tried on), my mom was in tears. The dress had elements of everything I wanted. It was my wedding dress. Erica was so incredibly patient with me as I tried on a number of dresses, asked questions, shared concerns about how I thought I looked, and graciously went through the racks with my mom to see what other dresses were available for me to try on. Not to mention, the gowns at The Savvy Bride are well taken care of and beautiful. Erica does not find “any old dress” to place on the racks, she is intentional with the gowns she brings into her store, which is so important. It was also instant gratification to be able to pick up my dress shortly after finding it as opposed to waiting months for it to come in. She even provided a seamstress recommendation, who tailored and pressed my dress (and veil) beautifully. Highly recommend The Savvy Bride, you won’t be disappointed!

I had a wonderful experience with Erica. She pulled a few dresses to get my style preferences and then let me try on whatever I wanted for my appointment. My mom and I had so much fun and found the perfect dress along with a rhinestone belt to add to it. She also recommended a fantastic seamstress that made my dress fit like it was made for me. Highly recommend making an appointment before going to other salons as their prices are also fantastic and the dresses are in near perfect condition.

When I got to my appointment Erica had 3 dresses picked out based on my questionnaire answers and I ended up falling in love with one of those dresses! The Savvy Bride is just the best! I bought my dress from here about 2 years ago and thanks to COVID, I finally got to wear it! I had heard of the Savvy Bride through a friend who got her dress there so I knew I needed to check it out! Erica was so helpful from the beginning. She had a questionnaire that asked what styles of dresses do you like, what pictures do you like, your budget, etc. From there, she chose the ones that best fit my criteria to try on. Her shop is so cozy and cute! The front of the store has all the dresses and accessories out for you to look at. In the back is where you try on with a cute little couch for your entourage. In the end, I found the best dress for me and it was so reasonably priced! The size was a little big so she recommended a seamstress who could help with alternations. I am obsessed with my dress and wish I could wear it again! Overall, you will not be disappointed at The Savvy Bride!

I had the absolute best experience at the savvy bride! I was a covid bride so pushed my original wedding date out a year. Within the year I changed every aspect of my wedding from color to theme and everything in between. The one thing I didn’t change and continued to love (even more) was my dress. Not only was my dress amazing, the experience at the savvy bride was unlike anywhere else. You are the only bride in the salon which makes you feel like you are the only priority at that time. Erica really goes out of her way for her customers to ensure their happiness, beauty, and comfort. Such a great experience and highly recommend!

I was very nervous about finding good options and a variety of sizes as a plus size woman going into this experience. Erica made me feel safe, welcome, supported, and truly beautiful in each dress I tried on. I love the format of GORGEOUS bridal dresses at a discounted space, but it was truly Erica and her studio who made this experience so comfortable and rewarding. We went to The Savvy Bride for my wedding dress, and had a great experience! I needed a dress I could take home with me right away as my wedding was only a few months away. I loved that I had the whole shop to ourselves during my appointment. Erica was so helpful in figuring out what kind of dress I liked - I started out thinking I would like a more simple style, and she quickly figured out that I actually wanted something with a little more sparkle. I tried on 12 dresses total, and mine was the 6th one. I was so impressed with Erica’s ability to pick out dresses that I would like. I ended up with a beautiful dress, at a very fair price. Before I took it home, she noticed a tiny tear in one area and fixed it up for me so it was perfect. Would highly recommend!

I am so happy that my grandma discovered this place (from an article in a newspaper no less!). I loved the whole concept of the shop - designer dresses for less, so I was excited to see what they had and I was not disappointed. You make an appointment and have the shop to yourself so the owner of the shop helps out as much as you'd like her to during your time there. Good range of sizes and styles. Plus, the dresses are off the rack so you get to take it home the same day. I also used the seamstress the owner recommended, and had a great experience with my customizations. I recommend this shop to all of my NYC/CT engaged friends!

This was my second stop to finding my dress. When I arrived to my appt I was so happy that I had the entire shop to myself for 2hrs. I told Erica the styles I was interested in and she had me try a few on. I thought I picked “the one” but she pulled a dress out and told me to just try it on. I FELL IN LOVE! From only trying on a few dresses she got a feel of styles I liked and what I was looking for. I can’t wait to finally wear my dress!!

This shop is AMAZING! Erica is awesome, super personable and wants only to help you find your dream dress. She has several selected for you, based on your likes and dislikes in an email she sends you, then you go from there! The shop is extremely clean and very cute, she’s very organized and professional. She never puts any pressure on you! On top of all of that, if you’re like me and want to be reasonable and rational about how much money you spend, this place is PERFECT for you! Erica is the absolute best! She has a few dresses pulled for you, ready to try based on your wants. You and your entourage have the shop to yourselves to browse for other dresses or styles just to try. Erica is professional, genuine, supportive and accommodating. I tried each of the 6 dresses on about twice each time narrowing it down. Erica helped by guiding me, asking me what I liked about the dress I was in. She truly became another member of my bridal team that day! I went to other stores and I highly recommend Erica at The Savvy Bride!!

This review has been a long time coming! I bought my dress at the Savy Brides and it was the best experience a bride could ever dream of. Ericka was very nice and professional and had so many dresses in stock! I went in feeling defeated because, being bigger than A SIZE 2 (12-14) no shops had a great enough selection. I mean there were some but just not the one for me. Thank goodness I popped into this shop and said yes to my dream dress! Thank you high recommend!

The Savvy Bride is the absolute best bridal shop! Erica is THE best to work with and the experience at her shop is very personal and special. Being the only bride there during your appointment makes you feel extra special, and Erica truly tries her best to pull dresses that represent exactly what you describe. She has great suggestions, advice and at the end of the day wants you to be happy. Words cannot describe how amazing my experience was with Erica at Savvy Bride. From the beginning at booking the appointment to the end where I said yes to my dress, everything was a fairytale and flawless! A few days before the appointment, I received a questionnaire which provided me an opportunity to let Erica know what I thought I wanted! When we arrived to the appointment my girls and I were warmly greeted! Erica explained to us what she does and how the appointment was going to go and we got started!! She had options ready based on the answers from questionnaire I had completed (it was short and sweet!) and was extremely patient throughout the entire process! Her presence made me feel so relaxed and I knew I was in good hands! The prices and options there were amazing!! I truly had my fairy tale experience! I am writing this review a year after my appointment because I'm still raving about my experience to everyone I know. Erica sent me a survey in advance of my appointment, and I knew then that my time there would be special. She prepared a variety of dresses for me to try on, paying attention to the things I liked most. Sure enough, one of those dresses was The One! She was so patient letting me try on dresses multiple times and even let me come back past my appointment so my mother and grandmother could see the dress before I bought it. If you are looking for a private, customized bridal dress experience, definitely make an appointment with Erica!

So appointments are usually 2 hours, a few days before my appointment Erica had me fill out a questionnaire about what I’m interested and styles I would like. I walk in and she said she had a dress she believes I would love.. WELL not even 15 minutes into my 2 hour appointment, she had me try on the dress AND I IMMEDIATELY SAID YES!!! Erica knows what she’s doing and I couldn’t be any happier about my decision!! I loved how the session was one-on-one and she really pays attention to what you’re looking for!!! Erica was such a pleasure to work with. I came into her store not thinking I'd find the one my first day dress shopping but she had so many beautiful gowns to choose from I ended up falling in love and finding my dream dress. I never even second-guessed my decision because I knew it was the one! The personalized shopping experience that Erica provides is amazing - you have the entire store to yourself and she personally assists you in finding the style gown you want and even made suggestions. I made an appointment with Savvy Bride after visiting 5 other bridal salons, becoming increasingly frustrated, and running out of time! Upon walking into Savvy Bride, I immediately felt at ease rather than overwhelmed like I had at other big box bridal stores. Erica was so sweet and the salon is so inviting! The best part is you’re the only bride there so the focus is truly just on you! Erica had taken the time to look at my Pinterest board so she already had dresses that she felt fit my style ready in the dressing room. She also encouraged me to look at any dresses in my size and to try on as many as I wanted! It was truly a no pressure environment and she was so supportive. You buy the dresses off the rack at Savvy Bride which was such a blessing for me! I struggled with envisioning and guessing what sample dresses would look like on me at other bridal salons but you don’t have that issue here since you are trying on the gowns in your size and that’s the gown you’ll bring home that day. I bought an Eddy K gown which was a great value for a sample gown and was in pristine condition! Personalized service and affordable dresses – what more can you ask for ladies!

I can't even begin to say how amazing Erica and the Savvy Bride is. I had been to about 5-6 places before I went to Savvy Bride and I have to say I wish this was my first stop. From the first discussion, Erica wanted to ensure everything I was looking for was captured before I even came in to try on dresses. What was amazing was that I actually was able to try on dresses that fit me in the style I was looking for when I arrived. What was even more amazing is that you are the only person in the store during your appointment! Talk about feeling special. She is amazing - so kind and never makes you feel rushed. When I was at The Savvy Bride, it was the first time that I truly fell in love with a dress. It was gorgeous, it was a v-neck with lace and beading and it was exactly what I was looking for. My wedding was on 08/31/2018, and I have to say I received compliments ALL night from everyone on how gorgeous my dress was. I felt so beautiful in it and it was everything I had ever dreamed of looking like on my wedding day. I don't know if I would have ever found that perfect dress if it wasn't for Erica. I would recommend the Savvy Bride without a doubt!

The Savvy Bride was the first and last shop I went in to find my wedding dress! Words cannot describe how amazing Erica is! To start, booking an appointment is easy. It can be done online and the site provides you with available time slots. Once I selected my time, Erica sent me a questionnaire to complete in order to get an idea of what type of dress I was looking for. What's great about this questionnaire is it is detailed and Erica ACTUALLY READS IT! I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the shop to find dresses pulled just like the ones I sent her pictures of. During the appointment, Erica was extremely patient and answered any questions/concerns I had. She had me try on different styles to narrow down my search. I asked that Erica pull dresses for me during the appointment; however, she does give you the option to look around yourself! Erica was so helpful and I felt no pressure at all. She was so understanding when I tried on several dresses multiple times. It was a very peaceful and relaxing environment as there are no other brides in the shop. Erica is truly there to help brides find dream dresses at very reasonable prices!

Erica was amazing!! I had already purchased a dress that I loved from another store. That store had a return policy so I chose to keep my appointment with Savvy Bride. I am so incredibly happy I did. While I really loved different components of the dress I had, I wasn't totally in love. Each dress Erica had me try on was more beautiful than the last. She was totally comfortable having me try on the dresses multiple times so I could narrow it down and gave me some things to think about. I purchased my dress from Erica and was able to bring it home with me that same day. I have since tried it on again and keep looking at the pictures taken of me wearing it because I am so in love with it. Erica was amazing and has a gorgeous selection of gowns. After my first dress was ruined by the seamstress a week before the wedding, Erica opened her door during off hours on a Saturday to help me find a new dress. Not only did we find the perfect dress (one I liked better than the original) she sent me to the sweetest seamstress for alterations that were done at 1/2 the cost and in 4 days! Amazing experience.

Although I ended up going with a dress from another store, I am so glad I went to The Savvy Bride! Erica was amazing to work with throughout the whole process. As soon as I booked my appointment, she sent me a questionnaire to find out more about what I was looking for. I went to the Savvy Bride for my very first time wedding dress shopping. My mom, matron of honor and myself walked in and felt very welcomed. There was such a large selection, I got overwhelmed. Luckily the owner asked me questions before hand to understand what I was looking for and what my budget was going to be. She picked about 4 dresses for me to start with. We immediately fell in love with the first dress I tried on!!! And it was in my budget. I highly recommend!!!!

My experience at The Savvy Bride was exactly what I always hoped finding my wedding dress would be like. Going into the process, I had no idea what sort of dress would end up working for me, so I started at a David's Bridal, figuring they'd have so many different styles for me to try out. What a mistake! After an hour of whirlwind dress-trying, a stylist who did not listen to my needs, and a store that was much more limited in samples than I assumed, I was pretty turned off by the whole process. I felt like cattle! Then my sister and MOH head about Savvy Bride and dragged me in, dreading the thought of trying on more dresses. There couldn't possibly be a better antidote to feeling overwhelmed and alone in the process than The Savvy Bride experience. First of all, it's by private appointment only, so you are ALONE in the store. I felt completely pampered and heard, and I appreciated that more than even her beautiful selection of dresses. Of course shopping in a store like this means it'll be a little more 'hit or miss', but she's also happy to call you as she acquires new products. For me, I had no trouble finding what ended up being the perfect dress for me, right on the rack and for a wonderful price. It was in perfect condition, despite being a delicate lace. For plus size Brides, I recommend starting with The Savvy Bride, as she goes out of her way to supply ALL sizes and a huge variety of styles, and her calm, sweet demeanor will make you feel like a million dollars. My absolute number one recommendation!

I am having a shorter engagement (6 months - 5 months left at the time I went to try on gowns) and worried about falling in love with something that was not going to be able to come in on time or where I would have to pay extra for a rush cut. Then, I went to The Savvy Bride and walked out with my dream dress on the same day! The dress is from one of my favorite designers. I had seen this dress online and on the websites of high end boutiques but, of course, paid a fraction of the price! It fit me so well and will be perfect for my Chicago wedding in the spring. The whole experience was more "my style" - Erica is casual and calm. She allows you the entire store for a full 2 hours and does not pressure you into buying. And while she pulls some dresses based on what she thinks you may like (she has a good eye - she picked out the one I ended up buying, not me smile emoticon:)), you are also allowed to browse all of the gowns and select your own to try on too. All in all, it was so easy to say yes to the dress! And to a veil and accessories too - which she also has great deals on! To brides out there that would like something trendy and stylish without breaking the budget, you must try The Savvy Bride!

I cannot say enough great things about Erica and her salon! She immediately made me feel at ease, as I was very nervous for my very first dress appointment. Erica was extremely patient with me and literally let me try on every single dress in my size. No joke, I said "yes" to the very last dress in my size. If you're looking to be taken care of and not breaking your bank, this is your bridal salon to go to!
