My fiancé and I had our wedding at the settlers inn this October and it was exactly what we had been searching for in terms of the perfect venue. The wedding and reception were held in the undercroft room, which created a romantic and cozy atmosphere with all of our loved ones. Tammy, our wedding planner and all of the staff at settlers were amazing and very accommodating. Highly recommend!
This was such an amazing venue for our wedding. My partner and I are vegan, and they were able to create a completely vegan menu for the whole wedding. They also were very communicative every step of the way, and helping along with the planning process. When the wedding arrived, our coordinators completely took over and made sure everything was good with our vendors, our untraditional wedding ideas, and made some of our half baked ideas a reality in a amazing way. It was such a beautiful wedding, and went way more smoothly than I thought it could. The price was super reasonable, especially for how much coordination we received.
Settler's Inn was the perfect venue for our wedding. It was magical, romantic, and breathtaking! We held our ceremony near the river, cocktail hour was held in the garden, and the reception was near the river underneath a beautiful clear-top tent. We also rented out Grant's Woods for an after-party space that had cabins, a fire pit, and string lights through the trees. It was amazing.
Chef Kate and her staff made our menu dreams come true! She was fantastic from our tasting to the reception. Our guests are still raving about the filet!
Tiffany was our wedding coordinator for our event. She was fantastic. My husband and I had a lot of requests and she accommodated us on everything! She gave us a lot of insight on what we may and may not need which was great. She was there early in the day until the end of our wedding making sure everything went smoothly.
Overall, The Settler's Inn was an incredible spot for our wedding. We wish we could do it all again!
We loved our wedding at Settler's Inn! My husband wanted to check out Settlers because of it's reputation as being a foodie's dream, and touring the venue I fell in love with the beautiful garden used for cocktail hour and outdoor ceremony space by the Lackawaxen River. It's so lovely. We also appreciated that Settler's, unlike some venues we'd looked at, was an inn also so guests could stay overnight (with a 10% discount) after the party and I didn't have to worry about anyone drinking and driving. The full breakfast included in a stay at Settler's was amazing also!
Jenn Liddy was our coordinator and made everything run so smoothly. She was always easy to contact and quick to respond, she helped us with our tasting, the rehearsal, put all the centerpieces out while I was getting hair and makeup done, and made sure to box up wedding cake for us to freeze.
Now that we're married I'm already looking forward to going again for our anniversary!
Amazing venue, amazing staff! We were treated like a king and queen! I couldn’t be happier with our Choice of venue!
From start to finish, we could not be happier with our decision to have our ceremony and reception at the Settlers Inn. The staff is friendly, attentive, and accommodating, and the food and grounds are incredible. In a way this was a bit of a destination wedding- we wanted an intimate affair so we took over the inn for the weekend and were thrilled to have that time to introduce and blend our friends and family. This is a place we all will continue to retreat to, together or individually as couples- the food and accommodation are worth a trip on their own. But the wedding was perfect. The Mother of the Groom hosted the rehearsal dinner nearby at the Boiler Room at Ledges, which was fantastic because we were able to enjoy the beef stroganoff again (which we fell in love with during the tasting but ultimately went with the steak with chimichurri- do it- almost every guest had it and LOVED it). The waterfalls also provided an incredible backdrop for our pictures (you know it's a win when your guests all change their profile picture to reflect that night).
As far as the wedding is concerned, Jenn and her team were great. And our guests even commented on the friendliness of the hotel reservation staff (so they had a positive experience before they even arrived). I was a little concerned that maybe we were not on the same page because I did not receive frequent updates from the Inn, but it turns out, I didn't need any. They were ready for us with our cake preferences when we came up for a tasting (can't believe how incredible the carrot cake was the night of- it's going to be our "thing" now), and a week out, Jenn had it. Perfectly calm, already coordinating with our vendors (Frankie Carll and Froggy's Garden), and awaiting our final head count. The day of went off without a hitch, and Jenn even helped distract and involve a reluctant flower fairy who was having a meltdown. We can't recommend this venue highly enough. It's perfect one-stop shopping. There were no surprises, our guests were in raptures over the food and beauty of the grounds, and we have a beautiful retreat for our anniversary escapes. If you want an intimate romantic wedding where you can actually spend time enjoying your guests, this is the place (50-65 guests is about perfect). We can't wait to go back.
I feel very lucky to have had my wedding at Settler's Inn. The backyard was a lovely, serene location for the ceremony. Our reception was held in the undercroft, which was appropriate and intimate for our small wedding of 55 guests. We couldn't have asked for more as far as food, hotel staff, and aesthetics are concerned. I would highly recommend this venue to any bride who wants a personalized, small, and easy-going wedding with everything done on site. My only warning to my fellow brides would be that there are frequent changes in staffing for the wedding coordinators. The woman I worked with all year was in fact not the person who actually coordinated on the day of, which lead to some miscommunications and disorganization. I don't want any of that to reflect poorly upon Settler's Inn, as it an issue separate from the wonderful hotel staff. Settler's Inn could not have been more perfect, and our final bill was actually vastly under the budget that had been estimated. The staff worked with us along the way to accomodate our needs, and I am so thankful to have had my special day at this wonderfully unique venue.
We got married at the Settlers Inn, and it was just amazing. We made a weekend out of the celebration and it could not have gone better.
I had family and friends coming from all over, and everyone was so impressed by the quality of the event. It was fun, felt personal, and a classy event.
You could not beat their prices, for such a wonderful experience.
It was a treasure that I was so happy to find.
