Absolutely Perfect Experience at The Sterling!
I recently hosted an event at The Sterling, and I must say, everything was beyond perfect! From the moment we walked in, the professionalism of the team was evident. The staff was incredibly courteous, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile.
The food was simply outstanding—every dish was flavorful, beautifully presented, and left our guests raving about the quality. The ambiance of the banquet hall was elegant and well-maintained, creating the perfect setting for a memorable event.

Had my Wedding at Sterling. Was a lovely venue and was great to have everything included in the package, food, video, pictures, music, lights. Made planning alot simpler and was fairly priced. Really appreciated Sneha and Megan's help during the event and planning for the events. Were very understanding with issues and worked to resolve them with consideration of what we wanted and not what they felt was best. Wish they were a little more coordinated for food roll out but we also had an overage of planned people and they were busy accommodating that at the same time. Appreciate them making they day as stress less as possible.

We had our brothers wedding reception at the Sterling caterers Conti room on Sunday, Oct 6. All we can say is that the service and staff were impeccable. They took care of every little detail so that we can enjoy the event stress free. Everything was so organized, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you Pooja and team for making this such a memorable event for us.

We just had our wedding on June 8, 2024. We had 240 guests attend our wedding. Every single guest told us it was the absolute best wedding they’ve EVER attended. The Sterling was absolutely AMAZING for/to us! From communication, care, attentiveness, they went above and beyond for every single one of our wants and needs. The catering options were second to none, our guests went back for 2nds and 3rds (we chose buffet style). Special shoutout to Sneha and Pooja for arranging and coordinating for us, to helping us figure out exactly how to bring our vision to life- they were EXTRAORDINARY! Our maitre d Yulia and Megan were outstanding on our wedding day, making sure everything went perfectly for our special day. We are beyond grateful for everything The Sterling did for us. They made our wedding truly the most magical and memorable days of our lives!

Very professional and elegant. We lucked out because we literally had the whole place to ourselves! I also loved that I did not have to deal with the headache of having to seek out other vendors for catering, DJ, photography etc. because they included that in their package. We just had to select from their vendors. A quote from our guests, "One of the best weddings I've been to!" :)

We had our son's Sangeeth and Mehandi function at The Sterling in May. The experience was beyond anyone's expectation. Starting from my first meeting with Sneha, Banquet Manager to working with Pooja, our Event Coordinator till the day of the event was a breeze. They looked after us like it was their own family event. The food, the decoration, the coordination, and everything was superb.
Yulia-, our Maitre'd was the best you could ask for. She is so pleasant and was enquiring with me very frequently to be on top of the schedule. The recommended DJ was also great.
Food was amazing and the quantity unbelievable. The desert parade with fireworks added a splendid touch to the night.
I simply cannot describe how satisfied we were with the organization. There wasn't one tense moment from the beginning till the end.

Had my wedding at Chateau, great experience even with Covid. The team was great and helpful we had 45 guests and they made everyone feel welcome and safe. Staff is professional and courteous. Highly recommend Taylor & Pooja.

My brother had his wedding reception at Sterling. We booked the largest room in the venue. When we came to finalize decor and food menu two weeks before, we were promised that everything would go smoothly. We even made a request for a second suite for the groom’s side. They assured us everything would go well but alas it did not. They were aware that we’d be arriving at ten am for the evening event to make sure all of us who were using that second suite were ready on time (we were about ten people). The rooms weren’t clean, nor was the bathrooms so we were first initially taken to the bridal suite and NOT the second suite we were shown. On top of that, we had to wait for the rooms to be tidied up. They knew what time we were coming yet that was not ready. Likewise the rooms are incredibly dark and almost dingy/outdated. Our makeup artist really struggled with lighting despite her having her own “makeup light.” I’d gone and asked for some other sort of light stand and they workers looked at me as if it was the strangest thing to ask. The real problem came though when about an hour and a half before the event these workers told us to change rooms (they literally said to use the bride’s room since she as ready). We were about ten people and the midst of hair, makeup, having our outfits set and this was the WORST thing you could’ve had your guests do. We reminded them of what we promised and they just ignored it. Spoke to management after, and we were ignored. Maybe they felt bad but the fact that they took their word back was VERY unprofessional. There was a quinciñera that night and that group wanted to use our suite. Our whole group had to shift to this third bridal suite room that didn’t even have a working toilet. Let me also point out that most venues provide lunch, snacks etc and they failed to do that (we had to order $50+ worth of food to feed ourselves). What grieves me most is that our family spent enough for the the down payment of a house and we were shuffled around, ignored, and very poorly serviced. It was my brother’s reception and all of our mood’s were off due to this unexpected unprofessionalism. Other things to note: the venue is outdated in couple of regards, there’s even some roof tiles noticeably missing or falling. They could use a floral decor update (white ceiling flowers look gray and yellow), most of the wedding furniture (seats for the couple) is from like the 1990s. We wish we knew all of this beforehand. Would’ve made a world of a difference in throwing our event there-and would’ve held it elsewhere.

DO NOT BOOK! After I finally found a beautiful place for my wedding but the moment covid hit, they have become the monsters and devil churches tell you about. They use alluring words the devil useS but in reality they do let care about you. They refused to work with you or give you back your money for a party they cannot host and will STILL charge you. Yama is rude and never available. May that place burn down before the end of August.

STAY AWAY! My wedding was booked for October. With the current pandemic , meaning its affecting WORLD WIDE, Sterling has not shown any signs of customer service. They have not once reached out to me nor my fiance about hosting our event. When I went in with my family, we spoke to the horrible person Taylor who is not helpful. We were told we can postpone the party but have to pay a 20% postponement fee if we were to postpone right now. We would have to wait 4 weeks before the event. She then said if we decide to have an event for 50 people we can BUT if the state allows 75, we will be charged for 75 people even though the contract says 50. Her and the venue are a schemers. Business must be terrible if they are doing this. I hope they go out of business by the end of the month.

DO NOT BOOK! This is an unethical business. They are not offering refunds due to COVID19 and not being accommodating to any clients. My other venue such as CREST HOLLOW COUNTRY CLUB gave us FIVE years to rebook our event on ANY DATE WITHOUT AN INFLATION IN PRICING. THAT'S CALLED A GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! THE STERLING is forcing people to keep there bookings along with an INFLATION PRICE for each year ahead. Take this and all other reviews seriously or you'll be losing your money in the long run. This is a WORLD pandemic and they are basically stealing consumers money by NOT working with couples and giving them a hard time to BOOK their once in a life time SMOOTH JOURNEY!!

Very unprofessional in the setting of COVID. They refuse to give us refunds and are very unaccommodating when it comes to rescheduling. My poor niece was getting married here this summer and these people have been nothing but headaches to us all. Yama is particularly rude and inconsiderate- yells at his customers and clients on the phone and is just disgustingly unprofessional. On top of that, they are charging 5% price hike if you want to reschedule to 2021 and 10% to 2022. We asked if we can pick a later date in the fall and with a lower headcount in compliance with NYS regulations and they will still not give us the refund and are making us pay for the FULL guest list when we have cut if down by 50%. That is outrageous! Please do not book with them. There are so many other better more professional venues in the area that are willing to work with clients without charging them extra or taking their money from them like this. These people are stealing their poor clients money and are outright liars. Stay away.

Do NOT book here especially with the COVID crisis. They are handling this situation poorly. They claim they need a 5% fee for postponing to the next calendar year (its not like my salary goes up 5% every calendar year...). Also they will keep telling you they will work with you based on the circumstances and the current situation but they are LIARS. please do not fall for their lies. My friends have booked at several venues around the area- Chateau briand, Hyatt Regency in Jersey City, Worlds Fair Marina, Leonards Palazzo - none of which is charging a fee to reschedule later. A lot of my friends are getting married soon so of course I told them to stay away from Sterling! Do not make the mistake I made.

My fiancée and I tried to rebook our event here due to COVID-19. They wanted us to pay inflation pricing (5% inflation for 2021, 10% for 2022) and refused to work with us to host the event under COVID-19 guidelines in lieu of rescheduling. Once we requested our refund they sent us a default notice requesting additional payment for cancellation. NEVER EVER BOOKING WITH THEM AGAIN, especially after hearing all the bad reviews from other VENDORS and couples who hosted their event at this unorganized VENUE!!

I had my engagement/ ring Ceremony here in the beginning of February 2020 and I loved it ! We were in the Champagne room at the Sterling and Taylor was more than attentive to all of our needs. The food was AMAZING and Mary was so helpful the night of. Everyone was sweet and more than accommodating to everything. Yama is who I sat with in the beginning and he was also so understanding of everything. This was the first of many parties to come and it was great to have it with such an experienced hall.

We had our wedding reception here on Nov 18, 2018 and it was everything I would dream it would be. Sneha was so kind in helping us book the hall we wanted. Pooja was wonderful in helping us plan the actual event. She took time to sit down with us multiple times to help us plan the event and included all the small details I wanted. Even if I had changes she was always very accommodating to change it to what I liked. On the day of our actual event, we had the pleasure of working with Taylor, our Maitre'd. She was simply amazing in helping coordinate the reception. I was so worried that certain things wouldn’t go as planned and she was so positive and helpful in making sure everything went according to the itinerary and to the way we wanted everything to be. We were very lucky to have had her coordinate that day. Our guests loved the food, the staff, and overall ambience of the venue. All in all, I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone planning a party! Thank you for making my reception so wonderful and memorable!!

My wedding and reception was held at The Sterling on October 19, 2018. It was everything I could of asked for. My bridal coordinator did an excellent job helping me make my selections and stay organized from day one. The staff made the night run very smooth. My matre'D and bridal attendant was with me all night. The food was amazing. My guest were so pleased. The dessert vianeese tables were remarkable. I couldn't have picked a better venue. The Sterling gave me the wedding of my dreams.

My son got married at the sterling on oct. 7.the place was fabulous. Sam the matre’d was wonderful. He made everything run smoothly and just made the night perfect. He was the best and also a very nice gentleman. If booking this venu make sure Sam is your man. I highly recommend the sterling

We used the Sterling for our Wedding Reception. It was reasonably priced and everything came out as expected. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that they push you to tip $2-$3 a person for the Maitre'd and they hardly did anything the day of our event.

If I could give ZERO stars I would!!
Booked a package that included centerpieces, limo, DJ’s, photographer, cake. We got our own Dj and received a $400 credit which we are thrilled we did.
The limousine came to pick us up and had a huge rusty dent on it. (We have pictures)
It also had no air conditioning (August 10th), the windows couldn’t roll down, the driver was either very inexperienced or just a really bad driver. He took a turn too fast and throw my sister and best friend across the car and they landed on the floor with broken nails and makeup smeared.
On top of that I stated to feel like my hair was falling but, it was ants crawling on me (in my wedding gown while sweating).
At the venue the bridal suite is ridiculously small but, I knew that ahead of time. However, the lock on the door doesn’t work so my belongings were never secure and I had different workers walk in on me changing my clothes. (My husband was not happy).
After my ceremony (at the venue) we to do pictures. (We used their photography company but, selected the photographer we wanted and he was wonderful). Once we sat down in the bridal suite to take a few minutes together, we are then informed that we have 14 additional guest and the reception will not move forward unless we paid them an additional $1557.00. (We gave a count of 167 and actually had 155) We put the money in a credit card because it was our wedding day and “Suprise” no manager was available. They ended our reception 30 early and said it was giving people enough time to leave the premises because we only booked a certain amount of time.
As other couples know, we didn’t eat. When we asked them to wrap food for us we were told “NO”. No food would be given to us to take (even though we paid for it) the staff ate all remaining food and they don’t give the couples food to leave with “because we may not reheat it correctly).
Allow me to tell you all, they kept attempting to change pricing and it did not go over because I’m a Finance Executive. They attempted to add charges for security, centerpieces, repairing missing tiles, ceiling tiles, the cake and when the statement of security came up my husband informed them that he was law enforcement along with 45 guest and if security was needed we could provide it through guest or our personal security companies (4 different guest owned such companies).
RUN...FAST.. don’t allow them to do to you what they did to us on our wedding day.

Everything is great here. Only complaint is the food. Yama and team tries their hardest to please you. I wish a lot of venues offered the packages and pricing they do. They make sure everything is grand.

This past weekend, we had our daughter's Sweet Sixteen party at The Sterling. It was everything we had hoped it would be. Visually stunning, no detail was spared to create the perfect ambience. The candles matched the theme perfectly. The lighting was beautiful. Everything looked so elegant.
The cold displays (antipasto, vegetable crudité, fruit, melon carvings, salads, etc.) were gorgeous and enticing. Everything was fresh and delicious. The wait staff walked around offering assorted appetizers, all of which were tasty. Likewise, the entrées were all delectable and we received positive feedback from our guests. The portions served were rather small. However, one needed only to ask for more if so desired. My husband asked the waiter to "keep it coming" with one dish and he obliged without complaint.
Our maître d', Scott, was exceptional and ensured that everything went off without a hitch. He worked with us every step of the way and was professional, patient and helpful.
In arranging for the party, we met with Taylor, Bill and Diane and each were great in making suggestions and helping us to stay on track with the preparations. They were all top-notch and I commend their service.
I highly recommend this incredible place for all occasions and events. Our guests had an amazing time and complimented everything. You won't be disappointed having your next special event at The Sterling.

I recently had my engagement party at The Sterling and it absolutely surpassed my expectations! I first met with Sneha who was very accommodating and helpful with planning this party on such short notice. I worked with Pooja on all of the details and her expertise really took my party to the next level. She had amazing ideas that as bride I had overlooked. It was so great to work with her and have her as Event Coordinator. Thank you Sterling for making my party unforgettable!

My wedding reception was at the Sterling just this past Saturday April 29th in the Champange room. It is hard to even begin to explain how wonderful it truly was!!!!! EVERYONE is still raving about the decor, the GRAND entrance, the dessert show, our stage setup, and how can i forget the FOOD!??!? I picked Sterling because of the beautiful way they are able to present class, glam, and elegance all in one banquet hall. I actually cried the day after out of happiness of how smoothly and beautifully everything went. My mait'd Mary allowed my family to actually enjoy and relax with the guests during the whole night as she took care of everythingggggg!!!! Amazing service. I would not change a single thing about that night. I am grateful for Sterling and their service. Also, if you are easily flustered and stressed like me this hall is perfect for you because they have packages to choose from and it is almost like you "one stop shop" wedding planning. Everything is taken care of. It is truly wonderful.

My wife and I had our wedding at The Sterling on Sept 3 2016 and it was absolutely amazing - the staff was so helpful in every aspect from initial planning to scheduling and made sure everything went smoothly on the big day. All of our guests were raving about how great the food was; it's too bad Sterling isn't a restaurant too, cause we'd be eating there all the time!
The event coordinator my wife and I worked with, Poojaa, was simply the best we could have asked for. She helped us with picking the decor and appetizers/main courses and made sure every little detail was taken care of. Without her help, I doubt the wedding would have gone so well - she was there every step of the day, including the day of. Even if we had a question in the weeks prior to the wedding, she was always a quick text away and it certainly made planning a wedding a very easy task.
By not having to go to different vendors for decor and food, the Sterling takes away a lot of the stress that comes with planning a wedding. They have such a variety of decor to choose from and their food is AMAZING. I fully recommend The Sterling Caterers to anyone planning a wedding/event!

We had our wedding here last weekend, and we had an amazing evening. All my party guest thought the wedding was great, and the vendors that came with the package exceeded our expectations. Our Maitre D was very attentive to our needs, and made sure the my day went smoothly.
The property was gorgeous, and they allowed me to incorporate some small details that I wanted for the wedding. They also were attentive to our guest that had dietary restrictions on food they could and could not eat.
I wish I could only take half a star off, but the only small issue we had is that we couldn't meet the minimum number of guest that we signed our contract for and were hoping they would throw something in to make up for empty seats we paid for. They however stuck to the contract since it was a package, which I can't fault them on, however if they would have thrown a small extra in there I would have easily given them a full 5 stars for going above and beyond.
Overall we had a wonderful evening, all my guest say the same thing as well, and I would easily recommend them to my family and friends.

Hi! My husband and I had our wedding reception at The Sterling recently. The whole process was easy and seamless due to their efficient staff and most talented coordinator Poojaa. Poojaa was very helpful and was always available to answer my questions. On the day of my event my guests were all taken care of and i the bride was treated like a queen. To anyone who's looking for a hall to host their reception, look no further as The Sterling Caterers is the place to go. TRUST ME! Very poor experience. Management are very unprofessional so do employees. We been given price all included and when went there to sign the contract they tried to bump us different other charges which was never mentioned to us. Be careful with these ppl. I left this place with very bad taste in my mouth

These guys were great, I had the largest room out of the 3..the Champagne room. They accommodated me 3 months before my date (due to screw ups elsewhere), held my ceremony there, and they also did my flowers. I used other vendors from outside. The room held 300 people. The food was great and hot! Definitely would recommend. Not that it mattered to me, but it is in a very Indian area and generally hold Indian wedings, which by the way, the brides are amazing coming through! We were Italian and EVERYONE loved the place, the food and the atmosphere!

It had an all-inclusive package. The food cake limos flowers for decoration the DJ photographer and videographer were all included in the low price. There are multiple reception halls to choose from and you can't hear other parties going on if they are. They are currently updating the facitlity. It was nice when I had my reception but I hear it will be even better.;The banquet manager and the office staff are not very helpful. They are all very nice but you need to be the wedding planner or have one. The manager actually went hunting for the date of my wedding. The cocktail food was great but some of my guests didn't like the main course the steak inparticular. The chicken was excellent though. The staff was very unorganized.
