Where do I even begin? This place is a hidden gem. When my partner and I began our search for for wedding venues, we knew wanted somewhere that could "do it all." It was important for us to keep everything as "in-house" as possible, as we knew we'd be getting married in winter, and didn't want our family and friends shuffling between too many locations. From the moment we walked into the Stowe Village Inn, we knew it would be perfect.
I wanted an outdoor ceremony (native Vermont bride, through and through!). Planning an outdoor event in the middle of winter can be...risky to say the least, but Lauren, the owner/manage of the Inn, immediately gave us the greenlight without hesitation. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and from then on, I felt totally at ease to share with her my thoughts and ideas for the space. Not once did Lauren ever make me feel crazed or guilty for asking even the most niche questions. That was huge, as I was my own wedding planner/coordinator, and had never planned an event this size.
Also appreciated was the “Info Packet” we received on our first tour of the space. This gave us an itemized price list for EVERYTHING, which was incredibly helpful in letting us budget on our own without needing to bombard Lauren for updated quotes. It also outlined their extensive menu items, all of which were right up our alley! We ended up doing a plated dinner, and the food was DELICIOUS (some guests later told me the dinner rolls were some of the best they’d ever had!). The staff even brought us a tiny tray of apps for my partner and I so we could also enjoy what was served during cocktail hour!
Lauren, Chris, Steve, and the rest of the staff of the Stowe Village Inn were rock stars. HUGE shout out to Steve who (along with the burliest of our friends/family) spent the entire morning chipping ice, and shoveling snow off the patio. It was PRISTINE for our ceremony. (THANK YOU, STEVE ♥).
Grants, the restaurant, was the perfect spot for our intimate gathering. We had around 55 guests, but the space could absolutely accommodate more! At night, the floor to ceiling windows reflected the glow from the candles and string lights we’d brought in, and it just looked so magical. The atmosphere was the perfect balance of humble coziness and classic elegance.
Truly, I cannot overstate how perfect our weekend was from start to finish. The people, the vibes…everything was flawless. Everyone we spoke with was kind, patient, and so helpful - they made us feel so special, and we cannot and we thank the Inn enough for sharing their space with us for our big day. If you’re a bride looking for a spot that’s both cozy and chic, look no further ♥ This is it.
My wife and I had our entire group stay at Stowe Village Inn a few weeks ago for our wedding weekend and our guests can’t stop talking about it! The charm of the Inn, proximity to town and OUTSTANDING staff support is just the start to what made our weekend so magical. We worked closely with owner Lauren and Mandy from Grant’s Tavern to put together a lovely rehearsal dinner and we rented out Grant’s Tavern for our Welcome Party. It was a seamless process and reasonably priced given all the support and set up! Our table was beautifully designed with candles and flowers, and we ordered light bites for our guests. Though we didn’t have our actual ceremony and reception here, we used the Inn for stay for the weekend with friends, we got ready in the bridal suite, and also had breakfast in Grant’s Tavern the morning after. It was SO convenient and everything was delicious. We had shuttles pick up/drop off our guests to get to our reception site and some of the front desk staff even ensured that our water and umbrellas made it on the bus! Melinda was a huge help in ensuring all guests were checked in and comfortable, but truly every staff member we interacted with was a true delight. Stowe is a home away from home for us, and we are so fortunate that the folks at Stowe Village Inn made it that much more memorable for all of our guests who traveled up. Every room was so cute, beds were so comfortable, and you can tell attention was paid to the small details in every corner of the Inn. We look forward to celebrating for years to come with friends and family, and consider this newly renovated Inn a staple to our Stowe Community. We love you all!!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts❤️
Unforgettable Wedding Weekend
From the moment we stepped into the Stowe Village Inn, we knew we had found something truly special. Lauren Soelch, the owner of the inn, welcomed us with warmth and enthusiasm, making us feel right at home. Our journey began after a hike in Stowe while we were on vacation in Vermont. Despite our impromptu visit, she graciously offered us a tour of the inn and took the time to discuss our wedding needs. Her genuine interest and personalized approach in understanding our vision and preferences set the tone for what would become an unforgettable experience. She listened intently as we described the vibe we wanted for our wedding. Her ability to grasp our preferences and ask the right questions was impressive, and we felt confident that she would create a magical setting for our special day.
Lauren’s diligence was evident throughout the planning process. From selecting the perfect rooms for our guests to curating a delightful menu, she left no detail untended. Her commitment to excellence ensured that our wedding weekend would be seamless and stress-free. From the welcoming party, to the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, Lauren’s meticulous attention to detail shone through. She worked with our day-of-coordinator and every vendor flawlessly and with a outstanding collaboration. She and her staff were dedicated to creating a memorable experience for us and our guests.
Our wedding weekend at the Stowe Village Inn exceeded our expectations. The charming ambiance, the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, and the personalized service left a mark on our hearts. We will cherish these memories for years to come. Thank you, Lauren Soelch and all at the Stowe Village Inn and Grant's Tavern, for taking our vision and making it a reality. Thank you for providing us with more than just a venue, you crafted an enchanting backdrop for our love story and we look forward to returning to celebrate other special moments.

The Stowe Village Inn was a perfect place to have a wedding!
The owner, Lauren, and her staff were kind, patient and professional with every interaction. Every single staff person worked to make the day seamless and gorgeous; from the cleanliness of the Inn to the smiles that every person had!
Having attended and officiated weddings in other venues, this was the best.
I give my highest praise and thanks to The Stowe Village Inn!
A dash of history paired with tasteful elegance. The Stowe Village inn, now under new, passionate ownership, is a wonderful place for a quaint, intimate and/or special occasion. My wife and I got married there just recently and we couldn't have been happier. The bridal sweet is spacious, the common rooms are cozy and cute and the staff and owners are more than accommodating. Grants restaurant is not just another hotel bar, but in fact a really great eatery. I have had a few things on the menu over the last few months and everything is great. Being so close to downtown, its an easy walk to a great breakfast or a short drive to any hair/nail salon for the ladies. The wrap around porch and outdoor area is a great place for the late night scotch and cigar to celebrate a wonderful day with friends and family. We will be back for sure!
