The Talbott Hotel

The Talbott was the perfect choice to host our son's and new daughter-in-law's cocktail party the evening before their wedding. The food was delicious and the staff was so attentive and accommodating - no request was too small or trivial. They really were wonderful to us and made the evening so special. I highly recommend the Talbott to anyone interested in hosting a rehearsal party, wedding, or any other event! A perfect location and fabulous hotel!

We purposefully chose the Talbott hotel to host our wedding block over a year in advance since our wedding took place the day before the Chicago Marathon. Although it took quite a bit of effort to get our questions answered and final rooming list, we thought we were all set for our accommodations for the night of the rehearsal dinner and wedding day. On the day of check-in, we found out there were three other wedding blocks which was apparent from a bit of disorganization with the front desk. Luckily, they were able to accommodate both my brother’s family’s early check-ins, but somehow the bride and groom’s rooms weren’t ready which dramatically affected our schedule and prevented us from easing into our big weekend. Not only that, but there was a mix up on our rooms. I had requested a mini-fridge in the executive king suite I had booked for myself and my bridal party, but the mini fridge was placed in the standard king suite booked for the groom. In conversations with the sales team early on, we requested that the brides’ family be on one floor and the groom’s family on another. Neither were accommodated. Despite the service, the accommodations far exceeded our expectations. Beautiful décor and space. Luxurious bath and bed amenities. We would happily stay here again just the two of us for a special occasion, but I would advise others to consider other properties for a wedding block.

The Talbott was amazing. I am so glad to have stayed here. The staff was attentive, generous and always a few steps ahead of me. So much attention to detail. Whatever I could think of needing was available. The room was spacious and definitely the feel my husband and I were going for, classical and traditional. Location is wonderful and the little market restaurant downstairs was very nice.
