The Vendue

The Vendue is a boutique hotel venue located in the heart of Charleston, SC. This historic property features charming, industrial-chic event spaces that are ideal for intimate wedding celebrations. Inspired by art, the hotel’s interior reflects an effortless blend of contemporary artistic elements and the property’s storied past. The Vendue consists of two former warehouses located across the street from one another. One dates as far back to the 1780s, while the other was built during the 19th century. Originally the location of a French trading post, the warehouses were important naval buildings during the Civil War. Due to their historic significance, they were preserved and listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings. Today, they are nestled within Charleston’s trendy French Quarter district. The two boutique buildings feature bright, modern event spaces and guestrooms. The hotel’s owners have carefully restored the warehouses, maintaining many of their original features like exposed brick and beams. Art exhibits are consistently on display, changing two to three times each year with a new theme. Our on-site art director, expertly curates the works that line the hotel’s walls. This breathtaking hotel is ideal for small gatherings with your nearest and dearest. The Gallery Room is the venue’s private dining space and boasts a warm and inviting atmosphere. Featuring dark wood floors and exposed brick, this room’s industrial aesthetic is paired with the understated elegance of original artwork and a crystal chandelier. You can hold seated receptions of up to 50 guests and cocktail receptions of 75 here. If you prefer a bright, open space, you can also host daytime events in the restaurant, Revival. Here, the exposed brick is complemented by white walls and decor, lending a sleek, modern vibe to the room. For a truly unique experience, you can welcome your guests to your event with cocktails on The Vendue’s scenic rooftop restaurant. The Rooftop is best suited for small gatherings in one of two sectioned off VIP areas. For larger events up to 60 people, the second level Bridge Bar is an attractive option giving guests postcard worthy views, private bar, and seating area.
