The Westwood did a great job. The cost was extremely reasonable and the food and service was outstanding. We enjoyed our day thanks to the low stress atmosphere where everything was taken care of. Thanks Westwood!

My wife and I truly enjoyed our experience at The Westwood. The staff was awesome! They were so thoughtful and ensured that everything went smoothly. Our room was set up beautifully. It turned out even better than we expected. The food was REALLY good. All of our guests have been raving about it since our wedding. We couldn’t say enough about how great this place is! We’ve already recommended it to our friends and family.

We just had our wedding here on 1/12/19, it was everything we could've hoped for and more! The food was delicious, the lena ballroom was beautiful, and the staff was so attentive and helpful! The price is also what helped make our decision, way under 10,000 for 90 people and it was all inclusive! I would chose them all over again!

After visiting countless venues, we had finally came across The Westwood. We fell in love with the venue. It is a family owned business and that becomes obvious as soon as you meet with the staff. They are so kind and friendly. During the planning process, Cindy and Cathy guided us each step of the way to customize our day exactly how we imagined. Some things we didn’t know what to choose and they kindly provided advice and direction. Joe was our Maitre D. We met him two days before our wedding for rehearsal. During rehearsal, we were like two deer in headlights. We realized we had not planned those tiny details in the ceremony. He noticed our slight panic and reassured us that everything was going to be perfect. On the day of the wedding, he nailed it! He was juggling every aspect of the ceremony, reception, and everything in between like a true professional. We think back to the day and are still shocked how perfectly he made everything flow. We owe this to the Westwood for providing excellent service. The prices are unheard of and the food is AMAZING! Guests still to this day talk about how great the food was at our wedding. Our wedding day was more than we could ever imagine and we are so thankful the Westwood made this happen. My husband and I were married at the Westwood on Nov 2 2018 and we cannot day enough great things about this venue and everyone that works there! From the beginning of the wedding process I was a very picky bride- visiting or contacting over 30 venues in the state of NJ. When I walked into the Westwood and sat down with ERIN WILLIAMS I knew I had found the place. I wanted a romantic warm late autumn vibe with an “affordable” price tag (does affordable really exist in NJ?) and The Westwood was it! We were married in the Lena Ballroom which is the upstairs of the Westwood. It features a beautiful piano and wood accents. It has multiple fireplaces and warm lighting. The walls are beige and mauve with many mirrors and wall sconces. I added to it by bringing in my own centerpieces which lit up and many many flickering candles. It was so romantic. Erin Williams at the Westwood was a dream coordinator. From the beginning he was so willing to make my dream a reality from the decor to the food to the cocktail hour add-ons , liquor package, ceremony arch, and every little detail. The his and her drinks he gave us were such a nice touch! He himself was married a month earlier than mine (in the same ballroom!) and wanted to make sure my day was as special as his! I brought in over 10 boxes of decor and favors on the day and he made sure everything was set up perfectly. He even appointed our maitre d JOE and he was outstanding!! JOE made sure the ceremony ran smoothly ; making sure we ate (even sending us home with so much delicious food bc he knew we didn’t eat!) . He put together a great rehearsal right before and directed us in every way we needed. He was literally the best maitre d someone could ask for. Oh and the food at the Westwood; can I tell you how many compliments I got afterward!? Everyone raved about the food. The stuffed chicken is delicious! The short ribs melt in your mouth. The cocktail hour had an amazing assortment of food including a carving station - yum!! I could go on for days about how PERFECT the day was. I owe so much of that to the Westwood. ERIN WILLIAMS, Joe, and everyone at the Westwood; Thank you for making our wedding day such a dream.

I picked this venue because I have been here about three times and fell head over heels for this place. The food, the price and the people that help you at The Westwood sold me. I'm telling you, as AMAZING as the food is here, you wouldn't believe the price they give you. Gorgeous in the inside and amazing rooms. Recommended this place to everyone I know. Cathy was amazing throughout the entire wedding process. She abided to my every need & responded back promptly ever time I reached out to her. She was our eighth venue that we visited and we immediately fell in love with the venue and the staff. Everyone was very friendly and working to our individual needs. Our maitrede Sam was also amazing both on our rehearsal night and wedding day. He made sure everything was perfect for us. We would recommend The Westwood to anyone and everyone who needs a recommendations. I also would like to mention how ALL of our guests raved about how delicious both the cocktail hour food was as well as the main entrees. Words can not ever begin to express how amazing our night was all thanks to them!

I just got married on March 17 2018 at the Westwood. I can't begin to thank them for all of their services. The staff was friendly, knowledge, and supportive. The ambivalence was beautiful and the food so so good. My husband and I are so very happy for having chosen this venue. I highly recommend The Westwood for weddings and other events.

I can't even express how amazing our wedding was at The Westwood because it was absolutely everything I imagined and so much more.....Cathy was our coordinator, she was amazing...every single question I had she responded in a quick amount of time and provided me with enough detail to my questions. Joe was our Maitre'D...when we arrived he was greeting all our Bridal Party then introduce himself. He was extremely friendly and professional. He was amazing. He went above and beyond to make this day amazing for us..... The rest of the staff were amazing too. My guests were all very pleased. THE FOOD was delicious! Our main meals were perfect! PERFECT!! thank you Cathy, Joe, and the entire Westwood staff!

We just celebrated our wedding reception at The Westwood on Saturday, July 1. Words cannot describe my experience with Kathy and the staff. Kathy was so wonderful from our first meeting with her and throughout the planning process. I called so many times with lots of questions and always wanting to make sure I was doing everything according to plan and Kathy was always so prompt in calling me back and never made me feel like I was that annoying bride. Our maitre d' Joe was absolutely phenomenal!!!! We met him the night of our private tasting and we clicked with him right away. We requested to have him for the reception and we did. He made the night go by so smoothly and the decorations were exactly placed how I wanted them. When Joe took me into the ballroom to get a first look at everything before guests arrived, it was so breathtaking!! I was speechless!! I would HIGHLY recommend Joe!! He made sure my now husband and I were taken care of the entire night. The food was spectacular and a lot of guests told us it was the best wedding food they ever had! As a bride and groom on a tight budget, The Westwood was the perfect place for us! You can have a magical wedding on a budget and The Westwood is the place to have it!! The night was so beautiful and I will forever be grateful to Kathy and the staff for helping to turn our dream wedding into a reality! Thank you everyone at The Westwood for all you did for us!!

With an exceptional team helping our big day, the Westwood is a perfect venue. Their staff is attentive, and genuinely there to make sure the bride and groom are taken care of. Our glasses were never empty, and they made sure we ate (even if it was only for a moment) We cannot be more greatful for the entire staff at the Westwood!

We had a great experience overall! Our sales person Anna was unknowledgeable about pricing. After requesting someone else work on our wedding this completely changed. Joe The matrd ensured our day was one to remember. The food was absolutely awesome! Our wedding fed 120ppl the ceremony and reception all in one place for under 10k.

Everything from my first visit to the ceremony was fantastic. The Westwood was the first venue that I saw and immediately knew it was perfect. I worked with Cathy and she was so accommodating and accessible. The food was delicious and not one complaint from our guests. The ceremony was beautiful. Our maître D was beyond amazing. He was always willing to help and he was even a sound voice to calm us all down when we were freaking out or worried about something. There were drinks and food waiting for us in the bridal suite when we were done taking photos. I could go on and on about the service and food but the best way to sum it up was PERFECTION.

My story is quite unique. After 21 years i was blessed with the chance to marry my first husband again. With the help of Cathy and her amazing staff I was able to create the memory of a lifetime. The Westwood was an amazing reception space that felt very "home-y". I fell in love with the wood and fireplaces everywhere (indoor, outdoor, even in the bathroom)! The surrounding area was very beautiful; West field park located very conveniently for photos (must get permit). We worked with Cathy which was professional, attentive and to the point. I was so impress with them, They went above and beyond to make my wedding the best one, I never had to worry about anything the entire night which was exactly what I wanted!!! We had our wedding party on January 31st. The staff at the Westwood went above and beyond in every capacity. There are not enough words to describe how helpful, accommodating, and all around great Joe the maître d was. All of our guests raved about the food and the service was impeccable. I can not recommend the Westwood highly enough. We all had such a great time! It was perfect.

For any bride out there looking for a venue that is willing to bend of backwards to make your day extra special - This is the place to go. As soon as we walked in, we knew this venue was different. Better then any other venue we had seen. We visited 23 venues prior to visiting The Westwood. Needless to say, I am a picky bride. From the beginning, Cindy was spectacular in helping us plan our day. She spent an hour and half extra with us just on our initial day of meeting. She never rushed us, and answered any question that we had. The prices here are amazing for the value of food and service that we received. Our wedding took place in the downstairs ballroom, which is large and well lighted. Cindy even walked us through their kitchen to show us how clean their facilities are. From Day One, the feeling we got from Cindy and the staff was that it was their mission to ensure that everything went perfectly for us. I was definitely a needy bride - constantly e-mailing and calling with random questions. Cindy was ALWAYS quick to respond. I think the longest I had to wait was 24 hours for a response. Which is huge for a stressed out bride! The day of the wedding went better then I could have ever dreamed. The food was delicious. It is now almost a month after our wedding and our guests still call us to tell us how good the food was. Joe, our Maitre'D and Manuela, our wedding attendant, made sure that our day went smoothly and that myself and my husband never wanted a thing. Joe kept everything on schedule. The ballroom looked beautiful. The staff went above and beyond setting up the tables, serving the food, and ensuring that all of our guests were satisfied. I did not hear a single complaint from any of my guests. I would HIGHLY recommend The Westwood to any bride looking for a wonderful venue. I'm the type of bride that researches for hours, looking for the perfect place. I had emailed about 12 venues and actually visited about 4 of them. Stepping into the Westwood had already felt like the place was something special. However, what set everything apart was talking to the staff. Something that drove me nuts about most of the venues we saw was the attitude of "We know weddings. Here's what you want for yours." The Westwood, on the other hand, was immediately like, "What do you have in mind? How can we make your day come true?" The Westwood staff prides itself on it's service driven attitude and years of experience. This sense of confidence, yet humility is priceless on a wedding day. They were also the best "one stop shop" I could find. They had a bakery that would take care of my cake. They had an in house florist, who would take care of centerpieces too. They also had an amazing catering staff! For the day of my wedding, everything went off without a hitch. I had a personal attendant who made 150% sure I was fed, relaxed, and just content with everything. She helped carry my train, clean off my dress when I accidentally stepped on the train, and just kept me calm through everything. When my DJ and photobooth had entered the venue, I didn't even need to really interact with them to set them up. The Westwood staff took care of all of the logistics-- feeding them and being simply above and beyond in control in all of the ways I couldn't be. Also, the food was something every guest raved about for hours and weeks after. Did I mention I got to eat, which is usually unheard of? The Westwood staff not only made sure I was very well fed but that I could grab leftovers in case I missed my meal! The Westwood helped me host the event exactly the way that my husband and I had envisioned-- a huge incredibly fun party filled with happiness, laughter, dancing, awesome food, and above all else love. Everything had that personal touch that made everything positive and memorable. The Westwood was awesome and I can't wait to make this my future go-to event location.

We decided on the Westwood as our wedding venue, after visiting 3-4 other venues. The 2 women who we worked with during the booking and preparation process were fantastic! They were very accommodating, courteous and responsive. Their wedding packages are really a great value and very inclusive. In terms of price, a great selling point for us was that they offered a 10% discount, per person, because my husband is a veteran. The day of the wedding they were great at settling me down after running late and forgetting items. The reception room was set up perfectly to my specifications, plus extra touches that I didn't even think of. Our maitre d was totally on the ball and was there at every turn to make sure everything was running smoothly and to handle our every need. He also made sure to serve us first so that we wouldn't forget to eat. Our signature cocktail was perfect and they kept the champagne flowing for me! The only complaint we had wasn't REALLY their fault. We had an afternoon wedding that ended at 5 PM. The next bride showed up over an hour early, so we felt very rushed to collect our belongings and leave. As I was waiting for others in my party to walk out, the other bride was walking in, and the brides seeing each other is a big no-no! I wish they would have maybe ushered the incoming party to the downstairs bridal suite until my party was completely finished to avoid that. I very highly recommend them; their staff is amazing, the rooms are beautiful, the packages are inclusive and very affordable and the food is plentiful and delicious. Every guest I spoke to was thoroughly impressed and had a wonderful time.

My husband and I had an amazing day bridal attendants were more then on point. The food was amazing. They took care of so much took a lot of stress out of the equation. Whether you are just wanting your reception there or planning your ceremony outside of a church this is a perfect place to go.

The Westwood provided me with my dream wedding. From the moment we walked in to book their services to the end of my wedding, it was seamless. I would recommend this establishment to anyone. It is so reasonably priced and they do not nickel and dime you. You truly get your monies worth. This place is absolutely gorgeous and has a great outside area that has a gazebo and a fire place. It is great for taking pictures. We did the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception there. Everything was breathtaking. The workers do a phenomenal job of making you feel at ease. Anytime my husband or I would think of something, our maitre'd was already on top it. I cannot explain the numerous amount of guests that told me the food was amazing. I would not change a single moment of that night. They were spot on! I am so grateful to The Westwood. They can use me as a reference anytime! I already told my husband for the rest of our lives anytime we need to throw a party, I will be booking The Westwood!

My wedding reception was a breeze with the help of the amazing staff working at the Westwood. The staff decorated the ballroom beautiful exceeding my expectations. They took my vision and brought it to life. Cathy, Betty, Samantha and Dana are a few of the people who were absolutely great to work with. The food was great. Our guest raved about the food quality and quantity. The servers were great as well. They were very attentive to all our guests. The Westwood was affordable without loosing great quality and amazing customer service.

I couldnt imagine having my wedding somewhere else! It was money well spent and we received great service. The Westwood was the last place my husband & I looked before we made a decision. I spent a year researching venues around NJ, looking for a place that wasn't going to break the bank but still provided quality service. The Westwood did not disappoint! Now that the wedding is over, I was able to get feedback from a few guests and every guest I have spoken to highly praised the Westwood for their attentive/high quality service,the friendly staff, their decor, and the food (we did a brunch menu which really serviced those who had food issues. There was a little something for everyone. The Lena room was spacious enough for about 145 guest with plenty of room on the dance floor to accommodate everyone! Overall, the day was perfect and the planning process over the past year was smooth.

The Westwood went above and beyond for my husband and I. We got married May 24, 2014. We wanted a beautiful wedding venue that we did not have to settle for. Other venues wanted $180 or above to share the space with another bride. This was not what we wanted. When we had our meeting at the Westwood and Cathy offered us the entire building, we were sold! Especially at that price. They offered us so much and more. Our attendant was absolutely phenomenal. So responsive. The food was awesome and our venetian hour was DELICIOUS. I cannot recommend The Westwood and Cathy enough. I am absolutely thrilled with the service and the venue.

My best friend told me to look at this place after she mentioned she just attended a wedding there. I was reluctant at first because she usually has bad taste (hahaha) but I checked it out. Boy was I ever wrong. I selected it for our venue immediately. Everything from the venue to the service was outstanding. I can't believe how they are able to do this night after night. Amazing venue! Cannot recommend this venue enough! While it's not in the best location, on a very busy street and across the street from a gym, once you are inside you forget all about the outside. The staff were very attentive. From the beginning stages were we were first planning everything to the night of our wedding they were always available and helpful. During our Reception, we had our own attendant to assist us with whatever we needed. We also had a maître 'd who ran the whole night and worked with our DJ so everything ran smoothly. If you can look past the location, you will not be disappointed by this venue!

We could not have pictured our wedding being held anywhere else. They allowed us to create an event that featured elements of us, from the arrangement of the Garden Room all the way through to the gelato, there is no mistaking that it was a wedding of our design. It went so smoothly and was a perfect reflection of what we were hoping for. We are still getting compliments from our friends and family on how warm, welcoming and genuinely helpful everyone was. The food and service were both top-notch. They also keep telling us they cannot get over how elegant and beautiful the flowers (from Flowers by The Westwood), the ceremony room and the reception room were.

The Westwood had the most to offer for the per person price out of all our venue choices but it exceeded all expectations. Over a month later and people are still calling me to say what a great time our wedding was. The food was amazing. The drinks were perfection. They have the BEST maitre'd! Broken glass was cleaned up so fast that people didn't even see it get cleaned up. It's affordable but we were treated like VIP royalty. I wouldn't have changed a thing.

I recently got married and after looking around to find the perfect venue, I came across The Westwood. My wedding was Aug. 17, 2013 and let me just say, this place was the perfect venue. Wow, words cannot describe how impressed I was with Cathy our planner and Sam our Maître'D. All our guest were also impressed and they enjoyed the food and the ambiance of The Westwood. My dad is very hard to please and he was highly impressed. This is a great place to host your wedding and it is super affordable; for what you get it most certainly worth the cost.

Our Saturday, August 10, 2013 wedding reception at The Westwood was absolutely perfect in every way. The food was excellent, the rooms were beautiful and the wait staff was beyond helpful. Cathy, the Director of Catering, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our day. Joe, our maitre'D, made sure everything went smoothly. When I first started looking, I went to about 7 or 8 different venues, but I always kept coming back to The Westwood. The price per plate is unbelievable for the amount and quality of food you receive. I truly cannot say enough great things about The Westwood and would recommend it to everyone!

We had our wedding at The Westwood a few weeks ago and I truly couldn't have asked for any more from the venue and the staff. Not only did we have the whole place to ourselves (we had our ceremony in one room, cocktail hour in another, and reception in a 3rd), we were pleased beyond our expectations! We mainly worked with Cindy, who was always available to answer any questions I had and treated my family and I like her own. She made suggestions and was right on point every time. The venue is beautiful and the staff was incredible, friendly and went above and beyond from the second we walked in until the second we left, and I would HIGHLY recommend The Westwood to anyone.

The Westwood is a very elegant and affordable. Very spacious the food was amazing. The cake was included plus gorgeous. The service is spectacular. They follow all of your rules and make you feel like a queen on your special day!!! They made my dream come true.

I was referred to The Westwood by my sister's coworker because her sister's business often holds events there. The place is truly a diamond in the rough because it is smack in the middle of a busy street, but once you go inside you wouldn't know it. The landscaping and small grounds they have are very well maintained and welcoming. The entrance is very grand and the ballroom is breathtaking. The food is AMAZING. I want to go back there to eat!! We had great reviews from all of our guests on the food & service. Their prices are competitive and they offer a lot. Cathy was a pleasure to work with during the entire planning process. Everything I asked for was taken care of and everyone raved about our wedding.

They gave the wrong cake order. My husband does not eat strawberry and they gave a strawberry cake even though at the cake tasting we requested cannoli filling. They also lost the remainder of my favors which were supposed to go to several guests who were unable to make it. They lied and said the one bottle of wine we had left in the bridal room could not leave the facility because they did not have a "packing" license. This was discovered AFTER the maitre d told us he had "packed" it in our box when I specifically requested it (obviously because I PAID for it). I even heard the coordinator's voice in the background when I tried to address these issues and she had a secretary get on the phone to say that she was not available. The florist (flowers by the westwood) did not even have the decency to contact me when I left messages to inquire about bouquets.

Best experience ever! Service was great, delicious food, drinks , everything was excellent.

our wedding was planned very last minute to say the least, and the staff at Westwood was so accommodating, and you can just tell they have the experience to provide a great time to the guests, and everyone involved. They def. know what they're doing! Ask for Joe and Cindy. They are the best!

I chose The Westwood as my wedding venue after attending a wedding there a few years ago. I was impressed with the service both times. Cathy and Joe were great and very accommodating with our requests. The prices were affordable and we were very happy with everything that was provided. Our cocktail hour was in the Garden room and it was perfect. So much food and really tasty. The reception was about 200 people and we fit comfortably in the main room with ample space on the dance floor. I would definitely use The Westwood for another party.

The food was great just wish my guest would have got all the appetizer we had picked. Wish there was an option for the venders to get a kids meal rather then have to pay for an adult meal. The staff was all very friendly. One of our favorite thing that the Westwood offers is a matrade, who brought us drink and made sure the bridal party as well as the parents for the bride and groom were happy.

I had my wedding at The Westwood on Oct 7, 2012. I had a wonderful time. They made my husband and I feel like royalty and accomadated all of our requests. Joe, our matra'd was very funny and helpful. My husband asked if we could have a room for the groomsmen and he started making arrangments on the spot. All of my guests were raving about the food and the decor. Love the place as well especially if you are on a budget.

Everything went so smooth on our wedding day. Our guests are still talking about how it was one the best weddings they have been too. They are especially raving about how great the food was. Our maitreya-d Joe had everything under control and kept us informed throughout the night. I will always remember this day forever in my heart.

Our reception was at the Westwood and it was everything we wanted and more! The food was delicious and the rooms were set up exactly the way we wanted. Our coordinator, Stephanie was great. She made sure we got everything we were looking for while being mindful of our budget. We highly recommend the Westwood for any occassion.

The Westwood was the perfect place for our reception, it was beautiful, friendly employees and the rooms were beautiful. I knew this was the perfect place for our reception the minute we walked in the door!! The prices were affordable and within budget for us so we were able to pay for it ourselves and still stay within reason and the food was good. Our family and friends thought the place was beautiful and the food was good. The maitre'd was the best and without him my husband and I would have been lost-he made everyone smile and was keeping our special night together without anything to worry about. If you decide to get linens from a rental company, make sure you see them before you have people go in the room because my bows I had for my room were done horrible and there was not enough time to worry about it being perfect. Another reason why we were upset about Westwood was the fact they overbook in the same day so the night of our special day-there were 4 other parties that day and one ended less than an hour before my cocktail hour that needed to be completely set up before my guests so I was extremely upset because I thought it would not be perfect and when my guests were outside in front of the building entrance there were so many people standing there from other parties-many of my guests had to go down the street or in the parking lot to get space place to get away from the drunk people who were very loud from these other parties. I had the only wedding so it would have been nice to have enjoyed fresh air without having to be embarrassed in front of my family and friends. That was very upsetting so for one thing is for sure they will overbook and not tell you for sure if it is a possibility. If I would have known it would have played out that way for the amount of money paid-I would have chosen elsewhere.

He checked in with my husband and I (and our parents) several times throughout the night to make sure our needs were being met. We had our ceremony here as well in the beautiful garden room and our reception was in the Lena room. The rooms were decorated so lovely. All my guests raved about the food - the variety and quality! I would highly recommend The Westwood to anyone! I know it doesn't look like much from the outside but the inside is so beautiful and very clean too. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives and if we could do it all over again we would definately choose The Westwood!!

The westwood was my cheapest option for a venue but was definetely well worth it. They provided so much food for our guest and had many options to choose from. I've gotten so many compliments from my guest. The staff was also very helpful from beginning to the end. Great choice for your money.
