Mark and Emily are the dream team for photographers. When we first started considering photographers for both our engagement photos and wedding day, we were clueless about what we were looking. After several conversations with Mark and Emily and looking through their portfolios, we were confident that they would be the right choice for us. They are truly professionals in their art as they were easy to feel comfortable/ourselves around, always responsive, and always took our requests into consideration. When we first tried to do our engagement photos by the beach, it was a windy and dreary day. We arrived at our photo shoot location after a 1.5hr drive and were disappointed, but ready to suck it up and accept that the weather would be less than desirable. Mark and Emily took one look around, decided it would be better on a different day and suggested that we reschedule – with no additional charges despite traveling even farther than we did to the shoot. After the second attempt, our engagement photos turned out better than we could have ever dreamed and we used them in our save the dates, invites, and website. Leading up to the wedding, Emily was fantastic in helping us outline the day-of schedule. The Thomsons have so much experience in shooting weddings that they knew exactly how long every part of the day would take for a wedding of our size. We walked through our venue with them, where we outlined backup locations for the first look and family portraits in case the weather was not cooperating. Our wedding planner at the venue even pulled us aside afterwards to comment on how professional and on top of it Mark and Emily were. After planning and preparing with Mark and Emily ahead of the big day, they showed up perfectly on time the day of the wedding and everything went off without a hitch. Portraits were streamlined and they were able to work together to seamlessly keep the day moving and worry free for us. We had complete faith in Mark and Emily and they were one of our best decisions that we made in our wedding planning process. We get compliment after compliment on our pictures and could not have imagined going with anyone else for the best day of our lives.

From the moment we booked Thomson & Thomson Photography for our wedding, we knew we were in good hands. We hired Emily and Mark for my daughters recent august wedding at moraine farm in Beverly, ma. They were very easy to work with. It was great having 2 photographers because it made the taking of the formal portraits go much faster and you have photos taken from different angles. The photographs are beautiful. Some in color, some in black and white. The photographs captured the loving emotions of the day, especially between the bride and groom. I would not hesitate to recommend them for your special event.

Emily and Mark were fantastic. They were incredibly organized from our very first meeting, and leading up to our big day. Though we were a little pressed for time, they made our first look, and family photos happen seamlessly before our ceremony. They work so well together, and truly know the exact shots to take, angles, background, etc. They were able to send us our photos just about a month after our big day which was amazing! Amazing!! I used Emily and Mark for my wedding at the Seaport Hotel in June 2024, and they were INCREDIBLE. From our initial call and through the entire year long planning process they were very thorough and attentive. On my wedding day they made me feel extremely comfortable and I knew I was in great hands. We started working with T&T a year out and they guided us each step of the way. We definitely recommend adding an engagement shoot as this was a great way for us to figure out what poses we did or didn't like, and get to know each other before the big day. On the day-of they were clear and organized and ensured that we got all of our requested shots. Emily & Mark's attention to detail and style timeless. We did a first look so that we could enjoy the cocktail hour with our guests and this meant we also got some great shots of our guests. We had a wonderful experience working with Emily and Mark for our wedding! They were highly communicative and great to work with throughout planning and the day of. We did our engagement and wedding pictures with them, and ordered beautiful albums for ourselves and family members. They were kind enough to meet at our venue and plan out pictures prior to our wedding date and met us at a not so convenient location for them for our engagement shoot. Mark and Emily photographed our small wedding ceremony with family, as well as our large celebration with extended family and friends. Emily and Mark were amazing to work with from start to finish. During the planning process, they were very responsive and provided a lot of helpful tips for organizing the wedding timeline. Their skills and experience really shined on our wedding day. Our venue was primarily outdoors, but we had pouring rain up until right before the wedding start time, which is when we had planned for our first look, family, and wedding party photos. Despite all of the uncertainty around the pouring rain, they were still able to take amazing photos by putting us in the covered areas of the venue. Then, when the rain stopped, we managed to get all of the photos we wanted at several locations around venue (it was a big venue). Emily and Mark were incredibly efficient at wrangling us and others for photos, placing us appropriately, and capturing the angles perfectly. We had a very tight wedding timeline due to venue restrictions, so this was especially appreciated. After the wedding, we got our preview and final photos very quickly. We loved the photos, and would highly recommend!

Emily and Mark were outstanding!! From the first conversation we had with them they were extremely organized and professional, and we knew right away that we were in exceptionally good hands. On the day of our wedding they were so efficient, they worked seamlessly with our other vendors and kept everything on time the whole day. They knew exactly how to kindly but firmly direct everyone for the posed photos (including managing our wedding party so effectively when we had to deal with a persistent swarm of gnats harassing us in the gardens during our photo session). They were also totally discrete and natural when taking candids—we felt we could relax and be ourselves during the reception and just focus on enjoying our wedding. They made the whole process feel easy and never stressful, and above all they took the most *incredible* photos!! Their work is absolutely stunning, and they really captured what made the day so memorable and special. We never felt like they wanted to make our wedding "look" a certain way. Instead, they listened to what we valued about the day—the gathering of our loved ones in a special place, the joy and gratitude in being together—and they positioned themselves to capture those things in their photos. Mark and Emily were the best photographers we could ask for! Not only did they capture our wedding day beautifully, but also they helped make sure the entire process ran smoothly. They worked well with our families, and even managed to capture amazing photos of our 20 month old nephew! They sent a sneak peak to us within a couple of days, and sent our digital wedding album within a few weeks of our wedding. We loved reliving our special day through their amazing work. Emily & Mark were everything we could have hoped for in our wedding photographers and more. Mark and Emily photographed our engagement and wedding. We included our pup, Hudson, in our engagement shoot, and they were so great with him - Hudson definitely stole the show! I couldn't stop smiling when we got our wedding photos back - they were beyond stunning. Mark and Emily are amazing! They were patient and accommodating when we had to postpone twice due to Covid, they knew exactly what they were doing the day of the wedding and the pics came out perfectly! Mark and Emily are amazing! We hired them as our photographers for our wedding and they were so much fun to work with since day 1. Through our nearly two year engagement they were very responsive and available via phone calls and emails the entire time. I never felt as though my email got lost with them like I had with some of my other vendors because Mark and Emily always acknowledged receipt and confirmed that they would get back to us. We had a lot of fun doing our engagement shoot with them. They got some creative and unique shots that were some of our favorites. They also recommended our videographer, Mike at Video New England, and we really love and appreciate how well they all worked together on our wedding day! Mark and Emily were prompt on our wedding day and they kept everything in line which, as the bride, I greatly appreciated! They got everything we wanted, from getting ready at the hotel to our ceremony at the Church to our cocktail hour and dancing at the reception. We got pictures done in time to be with our guests at cocktail hour. They also got us our photos so quickly! We got a sneak peak right away which was so much fun to see on our honeymoon and then we got all of our photos within one month, which is much faster than the turnaround time I have seen with other photographers. We absolutely love all of the shots they got!! We are so thankful to Mark and Emily and absolutely recommend using them! You will have no regrets!!

There are not even words to describe how truly incredible Emily and Mark are. They are two of the sweetest people and were such a great addition to our wedding day. Working with Emily and Mark was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! I initially reached out to them based off of their editing style - I loved the light and airy color balance, and a lot of the shot compositions. After my initial phone call with them, I knew I wanted to go with them. Not only were they photographers for the day, but they basically doubled as coordinators as well - making sure that that everyone was where they needed to be on the day of. They were extremely organized, communicated quickly during the year that we were making plans, and had a ton of experience and were able to direct us on the best order to do things, the best poses, and so forth. For both our engagement session as well as our wedding, they got back the photos quicker than expected, with a ton of photos from each session - it was so hard to choose which ones we wanted to go with printing in the end, but it was so fun to go through. Go with Thomson and Thomson - you won't regret working with them!

It was a pleasure to work with Emily and Mark. We hired them for our engagement shoot and our wedding, and they knocked it out of the park with both. I cannot put into words how AMAZING Mark & Emily were from our first meeting to after our wedding. We knew Mark & Emily through family who have used their services and we knew they were the ones haha. They put together wonderful engagement photos and sent them over to us very quickly! They are very helpful on suggestions, what to remember for wedding day, photo list, and day of the wedding, goodness, we had such a good time. We were on a bit of a time crunch because we chose not to do pictures before our ceremony but everyone came together after and we had the best time taking photos in the perfect amount of time. LOVE LOVE LOVE our photographers Mark and Emily. They are so fun, casual, and most importantly took incredible photos. Not only were they excellent at giving us instructions, but they got the best candid photos and took extra care to ensure they got every shot we asked for. If you choose to take photos in a semi-crowded location they go above and beyond to make sure you get the shot, minus the crowds, and are extremely efficient. HIGHLY recommend you hire them! Emily and Mark are absolutely phenomenal!! They shot our May wedding at Glen Magna Farms. Beforehand, they did a walk through of the venue with us to pick out locations. They were wonderful and easy to work with. They helped the day run smoothly, made sure we were happy, and were great to have around. Multiple people came up to us after the wedding to tell us how great Mark and Emily were after interacting with them at our wedding! On top of it all, we couldn't be happier with the photos!
