We love Tlaquepaque. It is so beautiful. The staff are all great and communicate well and promptly. HOWEVER: BEWARE of booking this venue for a WEDDING. The price/budget is deceiving. They provide NOTHING except for the space. If you have a specific look or design for your wedding, this venue makes it difficult for you to achieve an Instagramable wedding. For $6,600 they won’t even agree to hold off on putting up their seasonal decorations so that you can get photos WITHOUT pumpkins in the fountains.
They require you work with specific rental, floral and catering companies, only 2-3 options each. There are more options, but the required companies either DO NOT respond AT ALL, are not available leaving you no choice but to go with the expensive options, their selection/quality of rentals are subpar, and labor AND travel fees are $6000+.
We had to unfortunately, double our all-in budget. For 70 guests, one caterer quoted us $12,000 while the other based in Phoenix quoted $18,000 with $6,000 in labor & travel. This is just for food. This DOES NOT include bar services. One required rental company quoted us $18,000 with $5,000 in labor & travel.
Our all-in total wedding budget is roughly $67,000 for 70 people to have the wedding of our dreams at Tlaquepaque. For ONLY the venue, caterer, bar services, floral, and rentals, expect to pay a minimum of $34,000-$40,000 to host a wedding at Tlaquepaque.
After three date changes, my husband and I were finally able to be married on 10/22/2021 with a beautiful cocktail hour and reception held at Tlaquepaque. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Liz and the team here, they were fantastic from the very start and only proved more wonderful through all the ups and downs that came with COVID. We reserved the Terrace at Patio Del Norte for our cocktail hour and Patio De Las Campanas for our reception - it was perfect. When my husband and I walked into our reception we couldn’t believe it was OUR wedding the space looked so beautiful. Our guests couldn’t stop coming up to us telling us how beautiful the space looked and we couldn’t agree with them more! I highly recommend reserving the bridal suite for a small break in between the ceremony and reception, my husband and I had just thirty minutes in there but it was so nice to take a deep breath and relax after the ceremony and just soak it in before the reception started! Also - I know people get worried when a space has required vendors but trust that I would have hired each and every one I pulled from the list even without the requirement! We had Atlasta Catering, Sedona Bakery, and Sedona Mountain High Flowers as well as Bright Event rentals all of which were fantastic.
My fiancé and I checked out a couple venues in the Phoenix area but the locations we looked at we weren't necessarily thrilled about it. We decided to check out Tlaquepaque and Liz gave us a tour and we fell in love with the place. Liz was super helpful with any questions we had and was super responsive. Highly recommended!!!
Beautiful venue with exactly the intimate setting we were looking for. Everyone enjoyed themselves and loved the venue as much as we did. Highly recommend!!
Upon touring Tlaquepaque for our wedding we instantly fell in love. I can't even begin to describe the beauty and ambiance that Tlaquepaque provides. Liz was more than accommodating and helpful to my husband and I on our big day. From the ceremony and reception planning to even the smallest details, Liz was extremely patient and helpful (especially when my Bridezilla came out). We can't express our gratitude in words, but I can say that if you do not have your wedding at the BEAUTIFUL Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village, you're doing it wrong!!!! ;) Thank you again to all of the amazing staff and especially Liz. We will always be grateful!!! <3
Look no further! Tlaquepaque is a stunning location that not only created a unique and gorgeous atmosphere for us, but all of the guest loved it as well! We had several people traveling from out of state and country and being in Sedona provided various activities before and after the wedding which ensured they had a great time. We plan on celebrating anniversaries in Sedona and being able to reminisce about our special day as we stroll around. Certainly not something that other locations can provide! Liz was great to work with and was always willing to answer questions and accommodate our needs.
We had our reception at Rene at Tlaquepaque. We could not have asked for a better reception. They made our day extra special! The food and ambiance were incredible!
Elegant and romantic. That is the definition what having our wedding in the Chapel at the Tlaquepaque followed by a beautiful outdoor reception on the Patio del Norte Terrace. If you are interested in a small, intimate wedding that will have you and all of your guests awed, look no further than this venue. Liz and her staff were wonderful and professional to work with and they really helped to streamline our wedding despite us not having a wedding coordinator. We were beyond happy to get married in this special place and we highly recommend it to everyone!
Breathtaking venue!
I married at the Chapel on July 16, 2015. The site is small but beautiful. We had visited Sedona many times and always loved the Chapel. We are from Pittsburgh, PA and planned the wedding via email and phone. Liz and Wendy are very helpful and respond quickly. There are no unforeseen details or costs. The price is in line with what a church or other venues charge. The bridal suite is a must even if you dress elsewhere. I used it to relax and stay cool before the wedding. I dressed at the bed and breakfast we stayed at but attached my train to my dress at the suite. There are two changing/sitting areas and there is a bathroom, and a mini kitchen. Bottled water is provided. The Chapel is gorgeous. I recommend ordering some candelabras from the Chapel. They make your pictures even prettier.
We wanted our wedding to be unique, not the standard church and ballroom...Tlaquepaque was our answer! We had our ceremony at the Patio de las Campanas and our reception at the Calle Independencia. The beautiful scenery made for a romantic and elegant evening. Our wedding was only 50 guests large, but it did not feel small. This is the perfect place for 50-100 person weddings. Adam is exceptional with his record keeping and communication. Tlaquepaque was a dream come true, we would not change a thing!
This space was perfect for my small 20 guest wedding. It was absolutely beautiful!
We recently got married at Tlaquepaque and it was beautiful! Adam was always quick to respond to questions we had and was very easy to work with. We didn't have to decorate much because the outdoor areas are beautiful! We love this area and were very happy to he able to get married at Tlaquepaque!
I had my reception in Tlaqupaque's ballroom. The terrace was amazing- the inside is very simple, but "up-lights" and table decor make it a beautiful location!
The chapel was a beautiful place for a ceremony. It met all expectations. The lighting and scenery at Tlaquepaque makes for amazing photos. Adam was responsive, friendly, helpful. Highly recommended!
Adam Lovejoy was very easy to work with in finding and selecting an available date for our wedding. All of our guests were AMAZED by this location...Our reception was on the Calle and was incredibly breathtaking upon arrival. Tlaquepaque does have an approved vendor list and rules associated with the vendors you choose so make sure you read the contract and paperwork thoroughly.
We held our wedding ceremony on the patio de las campanas and our reception in the calle independencia. The lighting was magical and the guests couldn't stop commenting on how romantic the setting was. Tlaquepaque is a beautiful and unique venue that you and your guests will love.
We absolutely loved getting married at Tlaquepaque. We were married on Patio de las Campanas and we had our reception on Calle Independencia. Everything about the place is just amazing and beautiful. Everyone loved how the bell rang when we said I do! It was so perfect. The customer service we received was perfect. I can't say enough great things about this place. It was just beautiful and perfect!
Very romantic intimate feeling. Unusually elegant for an outdoor setting. Our guests commented multiple times on how it felt as it they were in a different country with the Spanish architecture.;All outdoors so we were glad we rented umbrella heaters.
