Urban Lodge Brewing Co. is a brewery, eatery, and wedding reception venue in Manchester, CT. This industrial-chic venue serves delicious bites and creative craft beers in downtown Manchester. Their warm and welcoming atmosphere is ideal for intimate wedding receptions.
The Urban Lodge Brewing Co. story began in August 2019, when two craft beer-loving families decided to open up shop in a former nightclub. They aim to ensure that there's something for everyone who walks through the brewery's doors.

On warm summer evenings, you can enjoy the open patio space and lounge on garden furniture with fairy lights twinkling overhead. The indoor space gives off both industrial and rustic vibes, with exposed ducts, wooden walls, and cozy nooks for socializing. There's plenty of space for your wedding entertainment to plug in and play, whether you're planning on a DJ or a full band. You and your guests will have complete access to all the incredible beer on tap, from tangy sours to refreshing IPAs. 6.1.24 my 1st time here, and everything turned out perfect. Ample parking. We found spots to sit outdoors, and there was live music. We had to go inside to order our drinks, so I explored. The bathrooms were nice, lots of spots for people to ha...
ng inside, play darts, etc. Next door to the outdoor area, we ordered food and paid for it. Then they brought it to out to us. The nachos, flatbread, and reeces ice cream were all fabulous. The beer was awesome, and sitting outdoors with no bugs or humidity, sipping cold beer, listening to music, was perfect

I'm on the quest to try all CT breweries. I tried Urban Lodge beers on beer festivals and decided to pay a visit. The place is big. It has two separated indoor spaces and a huge patio divided into 2 big and one small sections. So there is a lo...
t of space to accommodate everyone. Inside, you can find darts available as well as some boardgames.
The brewery has a kitchen and it is pretty good. We ordered a hamburger and a quesadilla and everything was great. For this review I tried all the beers, and some of them I tried before. The beer selection is great as they are not heavily invested into a single beer type. You can expect to see sours, IPAs, lagers, stouts and porters on tap. I personally will recommend Fireside (porter) and Emerald Shores (Irish red) Las they are pretty good. You can order beer flights of 4 beers to try as many beers as you'd like. They also have cocktails available, which are just fine.
I loved this place and can recommend it to others.

Had a great afternoon drink break with my wife. Excellent selection of beers and ciders. Plenty of outdoor seating with a really nice atmosphere.

Unfortunately, we left Urban Lodge feeling disappointed. We love their beer and the brewery is great; however, the new food concept needs work. The ordering system is clunky, the staff seems lost when it comes to finding tables, and the food wa...
s just alright. We loved Catsup & Mustard and The Hollow so we were very disappointed when the burgers were mediocre and the fries/onion rings were soggy. It was also overpriced for what you get. Will definitely try when they open at the new Pratt St. location.

Update 2024: came to celebrate their 5 year anniversary. What a disappointment in atmosphere. Most of the workers seemed unhappy to be there. They were very unfriendly and made it feel that I was an inconvenience since I wasn’t familiar with th...
eir menu. I had a hard time reading the menu in the dim light at the bar.
The food offering was good, I really enjoyed the kielbasa sandwich. The strawberry slushie and spicy watermelon drink were both great.
A worker made an unkind remark about my dog accidentally spilling water even though I let them know right away. They only gave me 2 small hand towels to mop up the mess. Not sure why a worker wouldn’t just grab a mop. There was supposed to be a raffle for some merchandise (every drink got you a raffle ticket), they didn’t tell me about my tickets until I inquired about them. No social media post of who won. Overall the experience put a sour taste in my mouth.
there is now a restaurant! Still dog friendly too. You order using a QR code at your table. Food comes out all at once. Wings and onion rings were excellent. I think the burger is just an average frozen patty. Flatbread was ok, just wasn’t my thing. 3 entrees and a side came out to ~$50.
Now that they have a restaurant, there is no outside food allowed.
Excellent brewery that is dog friendly inside and out. The atmosphere is relaxed and there’s plenty of seating. Staff seemed a bit unaware about the history of the brewery. The brews are very true to the type, which is nice since it seems like a lot of microbreweries are dead set on super intense flavors. There are some snacks available but you’re better off ordering food from a close by restaurant for food. I was surprised that the bar didn’t have menus from local restaurants. I’ll definitely be back.
