Jade is amazing and made planning our wedding a breeze! The staff is also great and the food is delicious. I highly recommend the W Nola for a small intimate wedding.
The physical venue is stunning and perfect for smaller to medium sized weddings. Perfectly located in the heart of the Quarter and the inside of the courtyard feels like an oasis.
DO NOT EVEN BOTHER. I contacted the venue and went visit it but when I asked for availability on my dates, they completely ghosted me. I kept waiting and folliowng up with them to ask for the dates to the new person in charge and just got excuses. This process lasted a MONTH until I decided to go with other venue.
BTW, I never got any dates available. At first, I was set on hiring this venue but I am blessed I didn't.
I do not recommend if you do not want to get ghosted
The W is beautiful! The venue itself couldn't be more perfect. It's in a stellar location (5 minutes to Jackson Square, 5 minutes to Dacatur Street, 5 minutes to Bourbon Street) and the courtyard is just as beautiful in person as it is in the photos. We had a rather small wedding, with only 45 guests in attendance and I thought the size was perfect. I'm not sure how great it would be for many more people, but for us it was the perfect size.
The food was decent. It's hard to expect a lot from a buffet style, so it was about what we were expecting. We don't live in New Orleans, so we weren't able to taste food before making our menu selections, but everyone seemed to like the food fine enough.
The day of and day before was seamless. Jade, our coordinator, really emphasized trying to get us to relax on the wedding day itself. She handled deliveries from most of our vendors and made sure that everything was coordinated with minimal involvement from us, so we were able to focus on relaxing and getting ready, which was awesome.
The only real issue was had was communication early on in the process. Jade was actually our second coordinator. The first moved to a new position about a year before our wedding. Nobody told us that, though. We found out when we noticed that one of our contracted payments wasn’t taken out and we reached out to find out what was going on. At the end of the day, that ended up being pretty minor in the grand scheme of things, but we did have some slow responses that made things a little difficult.
All in all, we loved the venue. Our guests loved the venue. We'd recommend it every single day!
My husband and I had our destination wedding at The W. Kimberly and Jade made planning from a distance easier than expected. The courtyard was beautiful, and the perfect size for our 60-person guest list. Everybody couldn’t stop talking about how delicious the food was.
The venue is beautiful and Kimberly and Jade were amazing to work with! They were so quick to respond to emails or calls and were on top of everything on our wedding say.
My husband and I got married in Jackson Square with just our immediate families. Followed by a sit down meal on the Sundeck at the W Hotel. The view was absolutely beautiful and the food which was catered by SoBou was amazing. Kim was extremely accommodating and even set up up our decorations the morning off. Highly recommend!
We had a very private and beautiful wedding in the courtyard. Kim made sure everything was perfect and we could not have been happier with our wedding. Our guests loved the food and the ambiance, the wedding staff was super nice and professional. Kim really listened to our ideas and gave great suggestions as well. Her guidance was very important and appreciated. When you start planning a wedding, you want to be in hands of someone professional, capable and friendly - that is what we found with Kim at the W hotel.
I had my wedding here on 09/1/2018. Everything was absolutely perfect. I worked with Cassandra Franklin months prior to my big day. She was professional, timely in response to my needs and courteous. We were expecting rain the day of and she and her staff were well equipped for the supposed rain! Thankfully it did not rain and all went perfect. The venue itself is gorgeous. My bridesmaids and I used the studio room there to get dressed and for hair and makeup. The room was spacious and clean. My guest were really impressed with the venue as well. I totally recommend the W French quarter!! You won’t regret it!
Thankful with Cassandra,Kimberly and the staff for tried to do the best for us that night. Great food and drinks you have to tried the cocktails from Puerto Rico the coquito! thanks to the chef was delicious everything.
We got married at the W the weekend Hurricane Nate threatened. I say threatened because there was little more than scattered showers and mist – but enough for us to shake a little in our boots. Shaina and the rest of the W team, however, helped to save the day!
When we heard the hurricane was coming, Shaina improvised and found a new getting ready room for the girls, so we wouldn’t have to cross the courtyard in the rain and secured SoBou for both our ceremony and reception. When the city of New Orleans imposed a curfew, Shaina (and the rest of our vendors!) arranged to have everything moved up an hour. When the city cancelled second line permits, Shaina told us we could march around the restaurant (curfew was eventually lifted, so we marched around the block!).
We had so much fun – and to be honest, we were more concerned about performing our dance moves than about the hurricane or anything else because we knew we were in such good hands. Everything felt seamless and we didn’t have to worry about anything (which I’m told is how it should be)!
Our guests raved about the food, which was delicious – and just kept coming out. Juan Carlos, the chef, was awesome and we’re so thankful that he and his sous chef set up a private dining area for us to take a minute to eat and breathe (and just be married!).
We’re so thrilled with how everything turned out and appreciate how the staff went above and beyond. We’re already planning an anniversary trip back J
Our small wedding in the courtyard was prefect! The food was beyond amazing and they even set up a mac and cheese bar for me! Everyone on the staff was so professional, friendly and nice and really helped give us the wedding of our dreams!
Absolutely beautiful! We got married in the courtyard on a Friday morning and then had brunch at the Court of Two Sisters and it was just perfect! I would suggest reserving the honeymoon suite which is called the "carriage house". It is located downstairs in the courtyard making it super convenient to get dressed and also make an entrance.
Meghan was awesome! She helped arrange champagne for our guests before the ceremony. She also met with us the week before to answer some last minute questions.
We were married in the morning in the courtyard and it was everything I've ever dreamed of!! It was beautiful! The staff was great, they provided us with two rooms to get dressed in, places to hang our clothes and a fruit tray to snack on while we dressed. Christina Tran was our wedding planner and she was completely on the ball with everything that morning. We had had minimal contact with her prior to the wedding, so we were somewhat concerned about having everything that we needed there. However, she was there the night before for the rehearsal and she put everything in order and had some really great ideas. She made our wedding day everything we've dreamed of!!
absolutely stunning courtyard for a smaller wedding (less than 70 people). The service at the hotel went above and beyond for our guests. Wish they had a bit more experience planning weddings since i felt like i was paving the way for a lot of details to be handled, but overall i would do it again in a heartbeat! all food is catered by an excellent restaurant, Bacco.
