Our experience with Weaver House is one we will not forget. My now husband, and I are Weaverville Locals that tied the knot March 1st. Alexandra was the most calm, helpful, and professional assistant we could have had on our side during the planning and execution of our wedding. From the initial consultation to the software used for day of planning, we knew this venue was prepared and experienced. We and our guests also were BLOWN AWAY by the in house catering at Weaver House. During our meal tasting, we agreed the food surpassed restaurant quality, and we would eat in every day if we could. Chef Joey was a pleasure to work with creating our menu and making the process collaborative and FUN. The entire staff at Weaver House made us feel truly pampered and we could not be happier. The venue is stunning, comfortable and even cozy without feeling cramped. Our friends loved it, we loved it, and if you are booking your wedding in Western NC, this is the spot!!
From the moment we laid eyes on this beautiful venue, we knew it was where magic happens. Nestled just minutes away from Asheville, Weaver House is a gem that turns wedding dreams into reality.
The building's neutral design is a canvas waiting for your imagination to paint. It's effortlessly customizable, allowing us to infuse our vision seamlessly. But oh, the garden! Stepping through the gate felt like entering Narnia – the towering bamboo stalks, the serene koi pond, and the stepping stones leading to the gazebo created a fairytale-like ambiance that stole our hearts.
The bridal suite was a sanctuary – spacious yet cozy, stocked with every possible necessity neatly organized in the bathroom and closet. The attention to detail was impeccable.
And the staff? They're simply the best-in-the-biz! One unforgettable moment was flipping through our wedding photos and spotting a snapshot of one of the bartenders holding our signature drinks, perfectly mimicking the custom sign we had on display. That attention to detail blew us away.
Chef Joey deserves a standing ovation. As a self-proclaimed picky eater (my husband lovingly calls it a "toddler appetite"), Joey effortlessly transformed my request for pasta with cheese into a sophisticated delight – what adults would call "rigatoni bolognese." His culinary intuition is unmatched.
But the unsung hero of our day was Alexandra, our wedding planner. If every wedding had their own "Alexandra," the reputation for stressful, anxiety-inducing events would vanish. She's like Jennifer Lopez in the opening scene of 'The Wedding Planner' – only, she wasn't following a script. Alexandra's preparedness and expertise were beyond belief, turning our day into a seamless dream.
Choosing Weaver House answered every question we had about the wedding planning process. We were clueless, but Weaver House, with its breathtaking setting, exceptional staff, and unparalleled attention to detail, made our day beyond perfect.
If you're looking to make your wedding planning experience as stress-free as possible, look no further than the Weaver House and its incredible team. The venue is gorgeous with stunning gardens, making it able to stand on its own without a ton of additional decor. Our guests raved about the space - and the food prepared by Chef Joey. The menu was customized to my husband and I's preferences - and the team was flexible and accommodating to food allergies.
We also worked with Alexandra as our wedding coordinator - and she is incredible. Kept us on schedule throughout the planning process - and was there to solve any problem that arose on wedding day. She truly helped make the experience of planning a wedding feel easy and effortless.
10/10 would recommend couples explore this venue as an option for an Asheville wedding. It is not only convenient to Asheville but the town of Weaverville offers charm and character to guests within walking distance.
If you are looking to host an amazing wedding - look no further than Weaver House! Alexandra and the team make the process super seamless and low-stress for planning. We wanted our wedding location to be able to stand on its own without having to spend a ton of money on expensive decor - and Weaver House is perfect for that. Weaver House has the most gorgeous garden and yard as well as a beautiful indoor space - making it perfect for both indoor and outdoor events. We also did specialty cocktails that the bartender made (so delicious) and THE FOOD IS SO AMAZING!! The chef, Joey, is so talented and friendly. We have gotten tons of compliments about the food with people all agreeing it was the best wedding food they've ever had. Weaver House is also conveniently located near the cute downtown Weaverville area where you and your guests can walk around and enjoy during your wedding weekend - plus Asheville is super close by too. Wonderful experience!
My wife and I visited a number of locations in the Asheville area in search of a romantic, ethereal, outdoor space with an easy indoor option for inclement weather should it be needed. We won the lottery with Weaver House.
Impeccably kept grounds with foliage steeped in complex texture and color, balanced with elegant lighting, provided the backdrop for the type of wedding we wanted to achieve — one where our guests could escape into the moments and leave with memories, as we did.
Alexandra’s expertise and easy demeanor helped us achieve this experience. She worked hand in hand with our planner to ensure the event was seamless and stress-free.
Chef Joey and his team catered our 100-guest wedding and they delivered. Before the wedding, we had a few telephone conversations to discuss menu and we fell in love with Joey’s creativity and sheer enthusiasm for sustainable farm to fork food. The craftsmanship and flavor profiles were absolutely incredible. We heard nothing but rave reviews from our guests.
Weaver House was an overall WONDERFUL experience for our wedding in September 2022.
My wife and I got married at Weaver House on Oct. 8th, 2022.
We fell in love with the venue immediately upon seeing it about 15 months before our date. The setting was exactly what we were looking for. A beautifully cared after space that would feel intimate and personal for our 60-ish person event.
Of course, there's much more to a wedding then just the look of a space, and that is really where Weaver House shined. They were the ultimate professionals leading into our wedding.
We hired Alexandra to be our day-of coordinator and she went above and beyond that role. We had a handful of zoom meetings with her where she helped us craft our vision into reality. She brought so many great ideas to the table and details for us to think about. We could never have planned out the wedding without her help. And that's everything Alexandra did BEFORE the wedding day. On the actual wedding day, Alexandra was the cool, confident coordinator we needed to help nudge the event along. She was never overbearing or disruptive. She had an amazing ability to suggest when we should move on to the next thing or when to cue a family member for a speech. She handled all the vendors with great ease and helped set up all of our "stations" (i.e. gift table, greeting sign...). She truly was the force that kept the whole evening together. Thank you, Alexandra! You are a rock star.
The food also needs a shout out here. We used Weaver House's catering but made an off-menu suggestion for the food we wanted. We pitched an idea to the chef, Joey, of having Korean BBQ tacos for our meal. He created an absolutely delicious menu for us with options of pork and white fish tacos (and vegetarian for those who needed it) that almost all of our guest's complimented us on. We've been to many weddings ourselves where the food is an afterthought, but that was not at all the case here. If I weren't in such a post-ceremony haze, I might actually remember the meal myself. But my fondest memory of the food is when my wife and I went to try the menu 10 months beforehand and Joey served us his ideas on a snowy February afternoon. It was legitimately one of the best lunches I've had in Asheville and we knew we were in good hands.
Overall; the space is beautiful, the staff is above excellence, and our guests had a spectacular time with us. I don't know what else needs be said outside of that. It was a night we will remember for the rest of our lives. Weaver House provided the background in which all of our loved ones could come together and celebrate. We are deeply grateful that the Weaver House exists here in the mountains.
WOW! I cannot say enough amazing things about Weaver House. Our guests raved all night about how beautiful the venue was. When you're inside of the venue, it feels secluded and private, even though it is on the main street of charming Weaverville.
Coordinator (in-house)- Alexandra helped us plan and execute our perfect destination wedding. She was communicative, kept us on schedule, and offered suggestions where we needed them. We loved that she had tried-and-true vendor recommendations, (which made our decisions about vendors much easier), but at the same time was supportive of any other vendor we wanted to use. We felt very listened to, and really enjoyed working with her!
Food- We chose their in-house Chef (Joey) to cater the meal since he is more culinarily skilled than typical caterers, and we truly were most proud of this decision! Everything was bright, fresh, seasonal, and most importantly (to us), locally sourced. Chef Joey was very open to creating a menu that truly was unique, asked for input along the way, and offered suggestions on how to make the meals more cost effective without sacrificing quality. We were so proud of the unique appetizers, salad, entrees, and late-night smash burgers we were able to offer our guests. The wait staff and bartenders were politeI could go on and on!
Grounds/Venue- The gardens are immaculately maintained and cared for at the venue. Our photographers had a field day! We loved having the option of having both outdoor and indoor parts of the wedding, and we really felt like the surroundings made for an even more picturesque wedding day. The pictures of the reception area inside speak for itself. We were big fans of the wood beams and natural/neutral color schemes, and the bridal suite was perfectly convenient. There was also plenty of parking just behind the venue.
If we had it all do it over again, we would choose Weaver House in a heartbeat!
What a dream it was to host our wedding celebration at Weaver House! The gardens are beautiful, especially when in bloom in May, and the house is the perfect reception space—light and airy with all the windows and exposed beams you could want. Alexandra, the director of events, is a pleasure to work with and knows all the top vendors in the area to make your wedding vision come to life. Joey, the lead chef, knows how to make every guest "oooh" and "aaah" over a delicious farm-to-table menu. And every member of the service team is so professional. We couldn't have asked for a better venue experience for our wedding day, and we look forward to visiting again during their future public events. Anyone planning a wedding in the Asheville area definitely needs to check out Weaver House!
I can not say enough good things about Weaver House and everyone who works there! The venue is beautiful and provided enough space to host each part of our wedding without any transition time. All of the staff were incredibly kind and went out of their way to be helpful. The in house catering, with Chef Joey, was amazing and there were great portion sizes. We also worked with Alexandra as our wedding planner and she was excellent to work with. Throughout the process she was able to help us plan very specifically to the venue and went above and beyond on our wedding day to make sure everything was perfect and low stress. I would recommend anyone to choose Weaver House for their event!
The Weaver House could not be a more beautiful wedding venue. The gardens are immaculate and the indoor space is gorgeous. Alexandra is so professional and on top of everything as a coordinator (she also is a really great baker, we got our cheesecake bites through her and they were amazing!). We viewed this venue through a video meeting and the beauty came through so clearly over a phone that we knew it would be even more beautiful in person and it was! We also went with Weaver House for the catering and all of our guests said that it was the best wedding food they ever had! Make sure you order something with mushrooms as these were especially great! Alexandra had everything handled the entire day and it could not have gone any better. Do not hesitate to choose this venue (and the catering!) You will NOT regret it.
I fell in love with Weaver House well before I decided to book my wedding at this venue and I am so glad that my date was available! The grounds are gorgeous, dreamy and so close to downtown Asheville.
My husband and I had a beautiful day and we are so happy we were able to host our friends and family at this beautiful space.
The WH team are amazing - they are true professionals who know how to throw you an amazing wedding - special shout out to Alexandra, she is truly the best. Alexandra helped guide us through the planning process, from recommending vendors to supplying day of- hands-on help getting everything set up!
Everything that we booked through WH was truly worth the investment and we literally would not have had it any other way. Thank you!
So happy my wedding was at Weaver House!! Alex was amazing throughout the planning process and was always there to answer any questions I had. She was on every aspect of things during the wedding and really made sure I had nothing to worry about or want. During the ceremony/reception the staff was all so so so kind. The grounds were amazing for my photos day and night. If you’re looking for a place with beautiful gardens, friendly staff, and an amazing coordinator this place is for you!
The most beautiful venue! We looked at a few in the Asheville area (The Farm, Country Club, etc.) and had to go with Weaver House. It is so beautiful on the inside and out. Extremely private and a great staff. Alexandra helped as our coordinator and I highly recommend. Also went with them for catering and the food was perfect!
Weaver House was our dream venue. Everything was amazing and Alexandra, the coordinator, did everything perfectly! We couldn't be happier!
Weaver House provided an experience we are still talking about! The full event planning package took the worry out of the process. Working with the Director of Events was even better than expected with her coordinating everything including catering, flowers, color schemes, and decor. The bar package options they provided really simplified a confusing part of the planning and budgeting process for me. Anyone looking for a truly customizable experience in a beautiful garden setting should check out Weaver House!
