I had an amazing experience with Westgate for our wedding! Emma is awesome! We were planning the wedding from NYC and Emma was so accommodating by meeting a couple times via video. She is super knowledgeable and helped us achieve the look we were going for in the most cost effective way and was patient through all my indecision. She even popped in to say hi (making sure it was okay ahead of time) on my wedding day when delivering the bouquets. She was also willing to work with us in last minute plans the day before our wedding when the weather changed for the worse and it looked like the ceremony would have to be inside instead of outside as planned. Could not recommend Westgate and Emma more! Such gorgeous flowers! 😍 I wish I could upload a photo. Thank you Westgate for helping our wedding be so beautiful and making the process so smooth!

We loved working with Westgate Flowers! They were so easy to work with during the planning process and helped us put together the perfect plan based on our vision and budget. On the day of when the flowers started arriving, I was ecstatic. Everything was so beautiful from our centerpieces to our bridal party bouquets. They were also great in helping us pivot when we had to make some changes due to losing guests from the Omicron variant. They helped us re-apply some centerpieces that were no longer needed to additional decor to be used throughout the venue. This ended up being one of my favorite additions to the look of our event! Westgate flowers was amazing to work with! They worked with us through multiple covid-related reschedulings without issue, and they helped us switch our original spring plans to a more seasonally appropriate fall plan without having to redo our whole color scheme. Flowers were delivered in excellent condition to our venue, and everything looked beautiful. A bonus groom boutonniere was included just in case something happened to the original and it was definitely not needed. All the flowers held up well throughout the evening, and several guests were caught stealing some of the flowers in the centerpieces at the end of the night! I would definitely recommend them!

I really can't say enough about Westgate. Although I met with several other florists, and it took a little while to make a decision, I knew from the first meeting with Paul, that Westgate was the right florist for our wedding. My knowledge of flowers is very basic, and at each meeting with florists, I said the same thing: "I am an out of the box type of woman and didn't want cookie-cutter florals." I showed some inspo pics, as well. Paul was the only one who seemed to instantly "get it." He fairly easily came up with suggested arrangements that he thought would fit my vision. And although I had never heard of most of the flowers Paul mentioned, I was never worried that the team at Westgate would knock this assignment out of the park. Could I have gone with a vendor with a lesser price point? Yes; however, the level of expertise, creativity, and customer service was worth every penny. I was blown away when I walked down the aisle and saw everything, and appreciated Paul's suggestions on how to repurpose flowers from the ceremony to the reception. Family, friends, and even the staff at the venue complimented us on how beautiful the arrangements were. Several people took some home and sent me pictures showing the flowers are still looking good several days later. I highly recommend Westgate Flowers!

Paul at Westgate Flowers is by far the sweetest gentlemen my husband and I ever met. He was very communicative with us leading up to the wedding. In fact, when we were picking out flowers, he already had a bouquet set up for us to view what our wedding flowers may look like with the colors we had. He was very flexible as we asked them to deliver flowers to three separate locations and when we went in person to pay him the week leading up to our wedding, he was so sweet to give us a free beautiful bouquet. Our wedding flowers arrived beautifully and were early on the day of! The flowers even lasted about 3 weeks post wedding and made a beautiful keepsake from them! Absolutely the best flower vendor! The flowers were beautiful, smelled great, and everyone commented on how amazing they looked. We had an outdoor backyard wedding for quarantine and the bouquets and boutonnières lasted through 95F weather, sun, and a thunderstorm and still looked brand new the next evening even though they had been out of water and laid on their sides the whole night. The team was amazing to work with and was able to build my bouquet by talking through what I envisioned. I will be going here for many years to come for my flower needs!

Paul, Adam, and everyone at Westgate were amazing to work with. After reading several reviews and browsing online for a wedding florist, I called to make an appointment. We sat down, discussed what I had in mind, and flipped through binders of pictures. They were quick to send a quote, which they quickly adjusted based on my questions and changes. The pricing was reasonable and the quality was amazing. I basically looked at a picture from their prior work and was like I want exactly that but with sunflowers. I wish I had a picture of the large mantle piece that they created or the corsages, however I do have pictures of my bouquet, the table pieces, and the vases for the ceremony. I sent them a picture of the small bottles that I wanted to use, they asked for dimensions, and quickly emailed me a mockup for the tables. Days before the ceremony I realized I didn't have a vase for my bouquet for after the ceremony and they made sure to bring one. The delivery was on time and they worked well with the caterer and staff to set everything up.

Paul and the Westgate team are absolutely amazing to work with! The flowers are truly stunning, but the customer experience is what really puts Westgate ahead in my mind. When I first met with Paul I thought I had an idea of what I wanted, and he was able to deliver on that without question. He listens intently, is patient and kind, and really wants everything to look spectacular on the big day. A couple weeks before the wedding we were having a check in call to review the proposal and ensure we were happy with the order. I didn’t know exactly which types of flowers I wanted for my wedding day, but I had a very specific feel and color scheme in mind, and Paul absolutely delivered. My experience with Westgate Flowers was amazing! My husband and I met with Paul and shared my inspiration pictures. His knowledge shown as he observed the trends apparent in the photos and was able to put together example bouquets and boutonnieres during our meeting. Westgate Flower and Plant Shop in Oak Park, Illinois created the gorgeous flower arrangements for my 1920’s Chicago themed wedding in December. After several productive meetings with Paul, our design coordinator, my Mom and I were excited about the custom flower design for the special day. Paul listened to our vision, suggested ideas, and showed us actual pictures of some of the other weddings he had done at the Blackstone Hotel in Chicago and the First Methodist Church, our venue locations. This helped us tremendously to see the actual space as we planned together. Paul was so knowledgeable about different plant types and what arrangements would work best to create the vintage theme that we wanted. The flowers were perfect from the long-stemmed calla lilies that the bridesmaids carried, the mini calla boutonnieres with peacock feather accents for the groomsmen to dainty halos and rose petals for the flower girls. One of my Mom's favorite memories of the reception were the stunning flower arrangements that decorated the elegant ballroom. Our wedding coordinator told us that the florist returned to his shop after setting up the ballroom to bring additional flowers back for the head table to make it “Just Perfect.” Thank you, Paul, for your attention to detail and your talent for creating such beautiful blooms for our wedding!

Westgate Flowers EXCEEDED all expectations! They were so wonderful to work with during the planning process and were so patient as we changed our flower arrangements at least 5 times. They met with us at the church the day prior to the wedding to help us set up our own decorations and go over everything. The flowers were AMAZING. Just so beautiful. GREAT FLORIST! They did my daughter's wedding Oct. 7, 2017. All of the flowers were beautiful. The decorator did a wonderful job of helping us decorate inside after we had to move it from outside due to rain. Everything was absolutely beautiful and exactly what we ordered. Paul was GREAT to work with and very accommodating. I would recommend this florist anytime.

I had the absolute best experience with my wedding flowers from Westgate. From the initial consult, where flowers were pulled from the cooler to give me an idea of the bouquets, til the day of, when everything was absolutely stunning. I couldn't have asked for an easier or better experience. The flowers were delivered on time, when I was still at the salon, and they stole the show. the flowers delivered to the church were perfectly placed, and they even left the toss bouquet with the coordinator so it could get to the reception. I didn't have to worry about a thing. I have recommended them to all of my friends and will continue to use them for all my other floral needs.

Westgate flowers did an amazing job with our daughter's wedding and reception. The beautiful chuppah with white flowers and greenery was sophisticated and elegant. The flowers for the cocktail hour and dinner centerpieces were beautiful and colorful. Our daughter had a vision, and Paul worked with her to realize that vision to perfection. There were some aspects we were less certain what we wanted, for example we wanted something for the bar area, I wasn't sure what we needed but I didn't want the bar to look bare. Paul new exactly what to do and made beautiful tall vased arrangements that were perfect for the space. Paul was easy to work with and the prices were reasonable.

Westgate's flowers truly made our dream wedding come true at the Langham Chicago! Our centerpieces, bridesmaids' bouquets, groomsmens' boutonnieres, and corsages were absolutely stunning! The phalaenopsis orchids for our wedding cake and bridal hair were more glamorous than we could have imagined! Paul was highly knowledgable...he truly knows his stuff.....recommending gorgeous floral arrangements that complemented our color scheme, bridesmaids' dresses, and groomsmen tuxedos! He brought our ideas for our escort card table and sweetheart table to life that all of our guests wouldn't stop raving about! Because there is such variation to the color palette coral, he was able to send actual pictures of the flowers to ensure the colors were exactly what we wanted. He also exhibited his amazing talents when working on the floorplan and he knew exactly which tables to display the high centerpieces with pinspot lighting for the best photographs! Paul was also very accommodating and professional by setting up a mock up of our centerpiece and bouquets a month before our wedding. Paul at Westgate was awesome to work with. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted and he provided an incredible vision! My flowers were GORGEOUS!! And Westgate is very affordable with the highest of quality, best of both worlds. My dad had just passed away and I asked if they could wrap his heart shaped locket with ashes I had in my bouquet. I thought it would be wrapped in the stems but instead they found a way for it to be fastened and hang like a heart charm on the outside of my bouquet, it was beyond my expectations. Paul at Westgate was absolutely great to work with. Down to earth, realistic, efficient, and creative. We met with a lot of florists before him: many of them tried to sell us the big dream with rainbows and butterflies only to hand us a giant bill that would've sullied the beautiful experience. Paul was different from the start: he listened, worked with us to maintain our budget, and put his own creative spin on things when asked to. He is a true professional, delivering what we explicitly and implicitly hoped for. A little example: Due to our budget, our decor was simple for the most part, except for the arbor under which we married. This floral arbor was left to Paul's creative choices and the result was absolutely magnificent - more perfect than we could've imagined. I can't stop staring at the pictures we took of it. In conclusion, if you want to work with someone who's a real professional, honest and down to earth, with a great sense of floral design and decor, go with Westgate Flowers.

Worked with Paul at Westgate Florist in Oak Park and they far exceeded our expectations. Our flowers were the most beautiful flowers we had seen at any wedding. Our June wedding helped with lots of peonies, garden roses, succulents, etc. We used them for all wedding ceremony flowers and reception flowers. Our photographer even commented that the bridal bouquet was the most beautiful one he had ever photographed. Paul was creative and totally understood the look we were going for and came through with flying colors. Highly recommend this florist and they worked well with us when it came to our budget.

We are so pleased with our experience with Westgate! We chose them because they are local; when I was younger, we purchased all of our corsages for school dances and special events there. We were even more pleased with our experience for our wedding. Neither my fiance, nor myself, know much about flowers, but once we explained how we met at a summer camp and the theme of our reception, the staff at Westgate lent their creativity and beautifully captured the tone we wanted! I had so many people tell me how beautiful the bouquets were. I loved my bouquet especially--it was whimsical and unique with fern curls that really got people's attention! Moreover, the flowers were delivered promptly and--despite the 94 degree heat on my wedding day--lasted all night!

Westgate was recommended to me by two people. I selected Westgate for my wedding florals out of five florists that I interviewed and received proposals from. They are very friendly and easy to work with. Paul and I e-mailed initially to come up with general ideas and a ballpark budget. Then I went into the shop for a consultation and final selection. I had a relatively low budget (no bridesmaids, no church flowers, 11-12 reception tables), which Westgate was able to work with. There was no minimum amount, which most florists had. Westgate's fee to deliver to my venue in the city was lower than the florists' in the city. The arrangements were gorgeous and matched my multi-color scheme. We used the centerpieces for brunch the next day, and they held up well. Guests complimented the flowers and asked who did them.

I was on the fence about doing it up with flowers; why spend all this money on something that will die? After meeting with Paul (he is so nice and assuring), I decided to pretty much go for the works. Flowers for the whole bridal party, center pieces, and two arrangements for our ceremony space. He gives you a 20% discount if you pay in cash. And I was all about any way yo save some cash. My bouquet was absolutely beautiful. I loved it so much that I dried it out and kept it in a shadow box. It was so great seeing everything come together. The quality of the flowers was well worth the price. The big arrangements lasted almost two weeks after the wedding too. Highly recommended!!

I worked with Paul for my wedding this past October and was really impressed! Westgate came recommended from a friend and they did not disappoint. They were extremely easy to work with, flexible and accommodating to my needs (and changes) throughout the process, and were extremely affordable compared to other florists I met with in Chicago. I wanted a pops of color with succulents and I was so so pleased with the arrangements they created! We received so many compliments on the flowers (reception, bridal party, decor) and they really popped in our pictures. I'm so glad I used Westgate and would highly recommend them to any Chicagoland area couple!

When I first started planning wedding flowers, a coworker strongly recommended Paul at Westgate Flowers after she had used them in her own wedding. She said that several of her friends and family swear by Westgate as well for various floral products or services. I contacted Paul shortly thereafter, and the rest is history! He was incredibly helpful and the floral arrangements he designed came out beautifully! He was more than willing to walk me through my vision of what I wanted for our wedding flowers, and to provide suggestions and guidance when we wanted it. He was able to take the budget we had and the vision we had and make them work together to come up with some absolutely gorgeous floral arrangements and a beautiful bouquet. He even incorporated decorations we wanted to include such as ribbons, pins, pearls, water beads, and decorative picks in the centerpieces, groom's boutonniere, and bridal bouquet. Paul's business partner was equally great on the occasion I was assisted by him in lieu of Paul, and their whole staff was also wonderful and very helpful. Excellent service and product all around.

They were exactly what we pictured . Westgate Flowers also designed pieces for the altar at our outdoor ceremony and our caketopper. They definitely helped make our wedding day even more beautiful and special!

I had used Westgate previously, so I knew their product would be what I wanted. Paul met with me and my mom to go over what I expected and wanted. For my bouquet and the bridesmaids; bouquets I wanted orange/pink/coral colors (mostly garden roses and peonies) and brunia berries and other grey-greens. For the guys, we went with coral/orange boutonnieres. Our mothers, fathers, and grandparents received white orchids. While the bouquets were originally not what I had expected them to look like (a bit more bright pink than dusty pink), I took one look at them and loved them. Paul and his team did such a nice job putting them together and thinking out where each flower complemented the others. They were so beautiful. For the reception, Paul made centerpieces with coral garden roses and white hydrangea in a glass, square, bowl. Everyone commented on how beautiful they were. For the head table, Paul suggested using the bridesmaids' bouquets, which worked perfectly. I would 100% recommend using Westgate Florist.

The most incredible florist! Paul and Adam (the owners) are the most talented in the industry. They took my vision and made it a reality. They listened to what I wanted with colors and cascading and types of flowers and created what can only be called a masterpiece. I wanted a bouquet with some bling in it. The day of my wedding Paul (one of the owners) felt that there wasn't enough sparkle in my bouquet. So at 6am that morning he drove to the flower mart and got different crystals to put in my bouquet! What vendor does that?! The arrangements were MAGNIFICENT! Everything I could have hoped for and more!
